The Best Plant-Based Dining Options at America's Theme Parks

"Knott's Berry Farm has fully embraced its plant-based patrons, offering them plenty of options when it comes to snacks and meals. Guests can make their way to Sutter's Grill, Grizzly Creek Lodge, and Coaster's Diner to get vegan chicken tenders that are just as delicious as their meat alternatives. There's also Prop Shop Pizzeria, which has its own vegan cauliflower veggie pizza topped with vegan cheese and assorted vegetables, too." - Stacey Leasca

How Amusement Parks Use Fried Chicken to Sell the American Dream | Eater

"What began as a berry farm and roadside restaurant evolved into one of America’s earliest theme parks, now drawing millions of visitors annually; the park retains fried chicken as a staple offering, reporting more than 1,000 chicken dinners sold daily and using its culinary history (including boysenberry-based items) to reinforce a nostalgic, family-oriented atmosphere." - Amy McCarthy

Theme Parks in California Are Reopening: What to Know About Disneyland, Universal Studios, and More

"This year marks Knott’s 100-year anniversary. In a statement posted by Knott’s on March 12, Vice President and General Manager Jon Storbeck said he’s both “encouraged and excited” by the recent announcement from the California Governor’s office, but added that there’s still “some work to do,” such as hiring and training new employees and working with government officials on finalizing guidelines. “Our plan is to welcome you back to Knott’s Berry Farm this May,” he said. Unlike other SoCal parks, Knott’s is allowing park-goers to purchase new annual passes for 2021 and any season ticket purchased prior to reopening will be valid for the remainder of the year. In addition, Knott’s is offering “a day-for-day extension” in 2022 for the number of days the park was closed in 2021. That’s at least four months of ticketed days automatically applied to 2022."

Had a great time. Very affordable. Some of the rides were down but we didn't let it ruin our fun! We especially enjoyed the Ghost Town. Rides were fun. Lines seem to be a little bit shorter later in the day. We really enjoyed the summer concerts. We were dancing our butts off!!

This was my first time going. It was pretty packed with school trips and families. We rode some rides, got the all day drink cup for $18.99, and ate at Johnny Rockets which was delicious. The decor is fun and pretty well maintained. The train was cool, and having characters interact with riders on the ride was fun. The observation tower gave good views of the area. Parking wasn't too terrible and was well lit after dark. The funnel cakes are out of this world!

Knott’s Berry Farm is a few roller coaster for the little kids in camp Snoopy. They got a few roller coaster rides for families. Have two water rides and several roller coaster rides for thrill seekers. The staff was very nice and friendly. I use there Fast lane so I didn’t have to wait to go on the big & popular rides.

Google
Fun fun fun. Great place to take your family. Small crowds and lots of fun rides from kiddie to scary. Ghost rider is a must. May wantvto check in advance for what rides are down. They offer military and first responders discount. Lots of different ticket options..go online and check them out in advance. Parking available for $35 and above. (Why do parks charge for parking when they own the lots..greedy) very enjoyable outing overall and chicken dinner at the end was perfect ($26.50).

Today was my son's very first trip to Soak City. He loved going down the waterslides. We tried a variety of different foods such as the cheeseburger, chicken tenders and the fried fish, it was all very delicious, but my personal favorite is the Boysenberry Punch. We had so much fun.

Google
Absolutely worth buying Season passes. It was our 1st time ever going and have went twice already this week 😉 everyone is so nice that works there Love how they make the rides funny with announcements. Just so much to do & such a better time than Disney !

Google
Knott's Berry Farm is a great place to go to it is not as expensive as the other park, and it's actually more fun because the lines are not 3 hours long. It feels more real and wholesome. Try to avoid peak hours because it does get a bit crowded then. Perfect time to come is like in the middle of the week for an afternoon. Look for shows in advance if you're into that, and take time to explore all the nooks and crannies. There are lots of tidbits and history hidden around every corner.

Google
Knotsberry Farm has some great rides, nice scenery, and clearly has charm and history. BUT the locals do love to cut the queue, making waits over double what they should be. They will say excuse me and then barge past you, and this will have 4 to 5 times every ride without fail. There are also not enough staff making the downtown between rides longer than it needed to be which then made the line cutting worse as there was more time for it to happen.

Yelp
On 01/03/25 my phone flew out of my pocket on the silver bullet ride. I've got tons of help and instructions on what to do to find it, having to wait until the park was closed (10:30) for them to look for it. The people at the information desk, Valarie, and the two men, were very helpful and calming for my situation. At the end of the night, security guards John and Marco were able to go back and find it for me! Thank god! Thank you so much, Marco!

Luis R.

Yelp
We got to ride a lot of rides, Even Calico River Rapids!, Totally I got so much fun for riding with my kids and parents, We saw our friends too!, Thanks for reading!

Yelp
This park will always hold a special place in my heart. I was always taken to Disneyland as a kid, so naturally, I wanted to go to ANY OTHER PARK. No shade on the mouse (he used to pay me) but Knott's was "the forbidden fruit." I have found memories as a kid going on rides that are no more here. Wind Jammers, Perilous Plunge, The Mystery Lodge, etc.; plus some amazing memories on the new ones like Xcelerator, Ghosterider, Silver Bullet, even Hang Time. Its only downfall is its location in a bustling city and the patrons with visit it thinking it belongs to them. Not even trying to sound elitist, but the park is trying to stave off the bad news that comes with swaths of unmanaged kids with chaperone policy's and more security at entrances but in the park, it can still be wild... It probably deserves a 3 but my heart just can't accept it and gave it a 4.

Yelp
**Experience with small child and elderly grandparents** The rides are fine, but my biggest complaint is the EXTREME slowness of the employees who manage the rides. They usually have one person managing loading/unloading the rides, and they don't seem to care to move slowly and make people wait. They get paid either way, so why should they move quicker? I understand safety is a big issue but I feel they can move twice as fast to get the line moving. Also, the estimated wait time that is shown at the entrance of the ride is WAY off. There was a ride that said 15mins, and I decided to start my stopwatch. But the time we got on the ride, it was closer to 35mins. And another ride that said 60mins was actually only 25mins. So, I wouldn't trust what you see at estimated times. The food is disgusting and overpriced. I paid $20 for a plate of two stripes of stale chicken tenders, a goop of rubbery Mac and cheese and an extremely sweet corn muffin that tasted like cake. Yuck! As I was with a crowd that couldn't go on the bigger roller coaster, we did some of the smaller rides, and the observatory, which was very rundown and old. Rusty, scratch marks, dirty windows on the observatory; this place needs a face lift! The only positive area that my parents really enjoyed was the Ghost Town / Westen area, where there were artifacts, photos of old-time America, an old school, and western-style shops like fun stores, candy shops and saloon. This was fun for adults and grandparents, however my 6 year old found it slightly boring. It's definitely not comparable to Disneyland, and it's lacking that "Disney" magic (given it's only half of what it costs at Disney. I think I'm good with Knotts. Don't think I'll be back.

Yelp
This is a great place to walk around without all the crowds you get at D-land. More thrilling rides and I like most of their food better. Most staff that I have met here are very friendly. I like this attitude because it makes your experience go smoother. Unfortunately, I added this park to my Six Flags annual pass. It's great that you can do that but the issue I have had is that I can no longer get my Seasonal Dining Pass. Apparently, there is something that prevents you from doing this. You can only get an All Day Dining pass or a Single meal Dining Pass. Lame. They need to fix this issue. Instead of paying $159 for the whole year, you have to pay $17.99 for a single meal includes 1 side and a drink, or the All Day $33.99 which is the same but you can get something every 90 minutes. If you want a snack then you can also use this All Day pass but you opt out of the meal to get a snack. Drink is every 15 minutes.

Yelp
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. There are some really high points to Knotts, while there are also some really low points. Ultimately, you have to decide if those low points are issues for you because that can dictate your experience. The Good: 1. During Christmas, they decorate the place very well to give it a nice festive spirit. There are carolers singing throughout, and cool little shops to take your kids in. It's a nice change of pace from the far more commercialized Disney experience. 2. Better rides. They're no Six Flags, but they have faster rides for teens and adults than Disneyland. 3. Kid section is nice for ideally ages 3+ or 46 inches and up. The bathrooms are nicer in this section too and they provide family restrooms as well. Now the Bad: 1. The inefficiencies. God are they inefficient. It may be because the workers all look extremely depressed mixed with the horrible implementation of the fast passes, but we waited almost an hour for a 30 min wait Jaguar ride (with no mechanical failures). They simply aren't able to get things moving and this is apparent from the rides, all the way to the food vendors. Also, they close and then reopen parking areas which causes additional confusion when trying to park in same parking lots as people you're meeting. 2. The crowd. While you don't have to deal with weird and obsessive Disney fanatics, the crowd is a little rougher around the edges. There were instances where, during the middle of the day, we weren't excited about the types of crowd it brought because we were with our 18 month old son and my wife's parents. 3. Everything seems run down, especially the bathrooms which are disgusting. The park needs love and it shows. Ultimately, we will enjoy the remainder of our season passes. However, we got this as primarily another Christmas thing to do during the holidays so we'll see if we end up renewing.

Yelp
Visited the rides and attractions at Knott's Berry Farm around Christmas time! The crowd was crazy, we were there for about 8hrs and only managed to get on 4 rides.. the line for each ride was over 1.5hrs minimum! I don't blame them for this, it is the busiest time of the year. They had some really fun rides though, my favourite was "hang it" which was a roller coaster that took you up 90 degrees and had a steep drop! It was certainly thrilling! They had many rides like these but unfortunately, I couldn't go on all of them because of the lines. We got some snacks from there, it was the first time I tried a boysenberry cookie!! It was bright purple with a lot of sugar, LOVED IT!! The colour was definitely enticing too. After sunset they had some cool performances like a country song concert, christmas carols, and other fun stuff for kids. I would definitely like to go back when it's not this crowded and maybe also check out their water rides which were closed for the winter.

Yelp
Since my last review, we had a baby and now have annual passes here solely because Disney hasn't opened sales on theirs in so long lol. This review is being updated from the perspective of a parent bringing a 2 year old to the park. In the Snoopy area, our son loves the swings, the cars, and then the carousel around the corner. The other rides in the kid area are routinely packed, so we usually stick to those 2. At 2 years, 3 months old, our son still has no concept of waiting in line, or the fact that rides have to end, so he can have meltdowns in line and at the end of the ride, so we have to plan accordingly lol. He HATED the 3D bear ride on the other side of the park ... scared to death the whole time lol. The carousel is a family favorite because there's either no line, or the line moves really fast. We love the pretzel stand between the Snoopy area and the carousel. We also always get a bag of gummy candy next to the car ride at the candy store.

Yelp
Do not trust the wait times on the app or posted at the ride entrances. They were consistently wrong and quite far off. If a sign said 5 mins, it was actually a 30 min wait. If the app said 15 mins, it was actually 1 hour. I don't think anyone updates the wait times. Buy the meal plan, it's worth it. Personally I don't think the *premium* meal plan is necessary with the extra cost, just the regular meal plan is plenty to fill you up all day for food and drinks. Drinks are every 15 min refills. Plenty. Snoopy merch and photo ops everywhere. Cuteness! Download the app ahead of time for the park map. No paper maps are available. Purchase parking ahead of time online to speed it up. Currently $30. No free parking. Premium closer parking is $50 if you don't want to walk as much. Fast pass is $75 per person all day, great if you can afford it. I wish they had more staff working to speed up the lines. Some rides like bumper cars had 1 person doing everything, checking seatbelts and counting people going in. So it Really slowed down the process. It would be so much more efficient with more help. Better off if they wanted happier guests. It feels painfully slow, be prepared to do a lot of waiting around. A few times I waited 45 mins already in line and then there would be technical issues to delay it even more, seems to happen quite a bit.

Yelp
Our entire family has had annual passes from 2017-2019 and then COVID hit so we decided to take a break from people-ing. We renewed our passes this year and went for the first time over winter break. It was shockingly EMPTY! Most rides (except for the laser ride and the stagecoach) was 10 minutes or less, my kids rode on every ride they wanted throughout the entire park, some rides barely even filled up. It was a nice change from the crazy, chaotic busy it normally is! A fun family place for all, hope they build some new rides/attractions soon, quite a few rides and kiosks were closed/shut down when we went, I guess we missed a lot in these past 5 years.

Yelp
Visited over the weekend for this Halloween event. It was sooooo much fun! I really hope Knott's Berry Farm never stops doing the Halloween event. It is my favorite! And I'm sure they make a lot of money doing that. I wish they would fix the parking situation. It seems like there's never enough parking at Knott's lol I hate having to park in the far away parking lot that is dirt. People park terribly there. And the lot isn't managed well. Plus it's super far to walk just to get to the park. There should be more VIP parking options that are closer. That's just my opinion.

Yelp
We absolutely love Knott's Berry Farm--it's the perfect place for families with rides and attractions that cater to people and children of all ages. This year, I fulfilled my promise to bring my son and his friends to Knott's Scary Farm, and they had a blast! We managed to visit on the very last day, which happened to be a Saturday, so it was packed, as expected. But the kids were entertained the entire time, and the energy of the crowd added to the fun atmosphere. We saw some families with infants (smartly equipped with ear covers, which I highly recommend since it does get quite loud), and the actors were very respectful and polite with the little ones. A tip for future visitors--arrive early, as parking was a bit of a challenge. We spent around 30 minutes driving around, and with the lots full, we finally found street parking a few blocks away. Next time, we'll likely go on a weekday to enjoy a less crowded experience. Overall, Knott's Scary Farm was an unforgettable experience, and we can't wait to go back! Highly recommended for anyone looking for a spooky yet family-friendly outing.
google avatar

Tania T.

Yelp
I love Knott's Berry Farm! Even during the spooky seasons, there is still so much the park has to offer for everyone. Currently, Knott's spooky farm is happening after the regular park hours. BUT, if you're like me and have little ones that would enjoy the pumpkins decor and fall ambiance, we go during the regular park hours. I love that they're having a trick or treat event at Ghost Town! It's such a cute and fun activities for the little ones! My toddlers absolutely love it. I mean who doesn't love free candies :p During our last visit, we had the peanut butter crunch special funnel cake. It was so delicious!!! I love Knott's funnel cakes and topped with ice cream, chocolate drizzle, peanut butter, and pretzels, YUM!

Yelp
. AndThis review is for KNOTT'S SCRARY FARM, the special Halloween event that is held every year. These require special tickets, and you can not get in using your regular ticket. We purposely came on a Thursday night. Friday and Saturday nights are a madhouse, with long lines and crowds. Thursday's are like a paradise. The longest maze (haunted house) line was 15 minutes, with must around, 5 minutes. You know that made the evening better. Now, I live Halloween and all things scary. I also know that everyone talks about Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios. We went last year, and hands down, Knotts Scary Farm is SOOOOO much better. The scare zones are better themed and, date I say, the mazes are so much better. Everything just felt more real, less "in a temporary tent," and less fake, somehow. It's like more thought was put into everything. It's is half the cost of "the other one," too. We purchased tickets to the boo-fet, which is great to help get a jump on things. It is an all you can eat buffet with monsters, witches, and zombies running around the dining room. The good thing is that you get access to four of the mazes before the main gate is even open. That's huge! And you also get a souvenir drink bottle with free soda refills good for the rest of the year. That alone pays for your $45 boo-fet ticket. The food is what you'd expect (it was fine), but the benefits make it great. If you're looking for some frights, this just might be your place.

Yelp
Yay! Kudos to the renovations at Camp Snoopy in 2024. We got to see it 10/22/24 to 10/24/24. Great job to Cedar Fair. Camp Snoopy has some new attractions: the new roller coaster that replaced the super bumpy former roller coaster (did not like), the family-friendly Sally's Swing Along, and the other family friendly ride, Snoopy's Off Road Rally. Also, the Grizzly Creek Lodge was renovated, made into cafeteria-style. And two more great features: (1) the outdoor seating which is more camp-themed and (2) the bathroom now has a nursery room. I think all of these features have really added to the camp theme. It is more cohesive. These were really thoughtful additions. Also, it's always a great job in decorations - you guys go ALL OUT every Halloween and Christmas season. Beautiful flowers too. I loved the front of Johnny Rockets too. And I must also mention the inclusion of food waste bins at most of the restaurants. That is really cool. We love Knotts. We are season pass holders. As you can see with all of my reviews recently added and pics recently added, that we are true blue fans. We also have the parking pass. We also have the single meal plan and the drink plan too. What a good value. Lots of choices! The bakeries are top- notch. I am a home baker but I really enjoy the things here that I don't make, like the boysenberry sugar cookies or the boysenberry tarts. On thursday, we heard Halloween music, and there were more kids for the trick or treating, wow! Well done. Hubby said that this is his "new happy place."
google avatar

Yelp
Yes peeps, it's that time of year again! The park is decked out for Christmas with plenty of holiday dining and merchandise options as well as entertainment for the entire family. Come on down and join in on the fun and be sure to stick around for Snow n Glow later in the evening when Ghost Town magically transforms into a Winter Wonderland several times a night. Check the schedule for showtimes. Merry Christmas!

Yelp
Very disappointed by the sheer volume of humans packed in and doing nothing really but waiting around for everything. Also there is just so much melancholy from staff to guests... Context: Monday 12/30, Knott's Merry Farm, 2 teens who love thrill rides and 2 adults who don't ride. We don't have a lot of extra money to burn and refuse to put these visits on credit, so we did a lot of studying, budgeting, and prep. Parking: Park hours listed on website at 10am-10pm. We studied the area online and found potential free street parking on Stanton Rd. 15-minute walk to gate! Great option if you get there early. Fully parked by lunchtime. Gates actually opened earlier (probably 9 judging from volume of ppl in park), so we were very upset as we happily would've got here by real opening, if website and actual gate entry matched. Food: only purchased funnel cake. Waited in line for 30minutes at 4:30pm. Too long! Paid $16 for cake with lake of boysenberry. Same great taste as memory serves but so costly and so much time wasted waiting! Can't imagine waiting hours just to eat a meal then not even finding tables to sit at as we observed so many folks eating crouched in corners or leaned against planters and fences. Staff: Wow, such sad, bored faces everywhere. I get it's not Disney but just wow. Ride operators don't fill seats!! Watched so many rides (silver Bullet, Xcelerator, Hang Time) run with not only empty seats but empty rows!!! Performers are the highlights among staff. Carolers are sweet, solid voices, smiling faces. Gary the Native American Dancer continues to wow the crowds with his energetic hoop dance and well designed performance, paying homage to his tribe from the Great Lakes region. Sadly, Craftspeople (blacksmith, glass blowers, woodcarvers) are no longer kind and warm, sharing what they're actually doing, just plugging away at what they're doing hoping to sell something. Unsure if they were ever paid by park before but 3 and 6 years ago (last times we came) they seemed happy to share their craft and educate the visitors. Now it's just robotic and sad. Rides: Lines get longer and longer throughout the day! 210 minutes?! That's a MAX of 4 rides in a single day of operation. So sad! We got in at opening and were able to squeeze in both Xcelerator and HangTime with just 45-60 minute waits but the rest of the day was pointless. We did give in and bought 2 single ride fast passes for Silver Bullet for end of day. Paying $35 to still wait 45 minutes feels like highway robbery though. Cleanliness: what cleanliness? Bathrooms are trashed by midday, didn't see a single cleaning happening anywhere in our time there. Did see a few folks emptying trash bins, they were kindly. Otherwise not a great experience.

Yelp
My recent visit to Knott's Berry Farm was a stark contrast to the joyful experiences of my childhood. I remember eagerly anticipating the delicious chicken dinners and funnel cakes. However, those fond memories are now tainted by my disappointment with the modern Knott's. Upon arrival, I was immediately inconvenienced by having to empty my purse for security screening. Once inside, the welcoming atmosphere I remembered was absent - no friendly greeters, no photo opportunity to commemorate the visit. Furthermore, I was shocked by the exorbitant prices. For example, our lunch - a hot dog, a microwaved-looking potato, and two bottled waters (due to limited options) - cost an unreasonable $26. The bare-bones presentation of the food was equally disappointing, with the hot dog simply placed on a bun.

Yelp
Went here yesterday for my son's birthday and we had such a great time! We arrived early about 9:45 AM and went through security and right up to the entrance since we bought our tickets online. Scanned our tickets and took our photos and off we went. We visited the calico mining train, log ride, ghost rider, camp snoopy and more. We had a great time! My kids had a blast and we will definitely be back!

Yelp
My son is 10 y/o now and I still believe Knott's is hands down the best theme park in Orange County. They are the most affordable too! They offer affordable monthly payment plans too! We always buy the season passes. So far this year (2024) we have visited 22 times as of October. Every holiday they go all out with events, activities, performances, you name it. Download their app!! When you buy a season pass, you have the option of many add-ons. I recommended buying a parking, drink, and dining plan! We love Knott's!!! We have thousands of pics of all of our trips! We have been going for many many years! And will continue to do so.
google avatar

Misha G.

Yelp
Knott's Merry Farm is so much fun! They go all out with Christmas decorations, including beautifully lit Christmas trees, sparkling lights, and festive decor all around the park. There's something for everyone--little kids, big kids, and adults--making it perfect for family outings or even a date night. They offer a wide variety of activities, rides, games, and other things to do. It's also pretty affordable. Every staff member I interacted with was professional, friendly, and helpful. Overall, I feel like Knott's Merry Farm is underrated and deserves more recognition!
google avatar

Stephanie L.

Yelp
Update: I ended up getting a season pass and am coming up close to one year on the pass. The pass with soak city was $130, food add on was $149, parking $85. This comes out to about $360 What I love most about this past is that I can get a meal on every visit . To date i've gone 21 times. I've pretty much got my value on this pass through the unlimited food alone.

Yelp
I have the all parks pass so I was excited to finally get to check out Knott's berry farm and try the fried chicken too. Overall the park was clean and it was fun checking out the rides. We did visit when it was during schools winter break so on average it was about 45 minutes to an hour wait for the rides. I definitely recommend going off peak and during week days. We arrived at 10am when the park opened till about 5pm and were only able to go on 5 rides factoring walking around and having lunch also. Theme parks are just so different nowadays compared to back in the days. Pricing is crazy expensive and food and parking. You could dish out another $160 for fast pass per person if you could afford it. Id recommend taking Uber or Lyft since parking was expensive and off site if you don't want to pay $50 for preferred parking. No shuttles so it's a walk to the front gate. For the restaurant you do have to exit the park and back in the main entrance. I probably will come back to ride the rides we didn't make it later this year but only because we have the park pass. I would say it's a one time thing if you don't live local and have a season pass.

Yelp
It had been 2016 since our last trip to Knotts. Our trip this year was great! They had a night time festival going on with live music and dancing in several parts of the park and with my kids being old enough to truly enjoy the experience made it that much better. The staff was always courteous and friendly. The park was clean and tidy anand we have plans to go again soon. Some of the food can be tricky to navigate, however, if you stop by the customer relations counter they can be very helpful in navigating and allergys.

Yelp
Always a Great Time - 4 Stars I've been to Knott's Berry Farm over 50 times, and it's always a solid experience. The rides are fantastic--GhostRider and Silver Bullet never get old--and there's always something new to check out. I also love the food, especially the boysenberry pie and the fried chicken. The park is usually pretty clean, and the staff are friendly, but I have to admit, it can get crowded, especially on weekends or during peak season. The lines can sometimes be a hassle, which is why I'm knocking off a star. Still, after all these visits, I can confidently say Knott's always delivers a fun, memorable day. It's a place that's just as enjoyable whether it's your first visit or your 50th.

Yelp
The value of this amusement park cannot be beat. A season pass costs $99 and lasts 2 years. Mrs Knott's chicken dinner offers some of the best amusement park food. Knotts is the ORIGINAL southern California amusement park. This place pre-dates Disneyland by 30 years. So it should be no surprise that many Disneyland rides are similar to Knott's, but Knott's is not as well maintained nor as well designed. Instead of music and theming, you will hear griding metal parts and mechanical groaning as corroded metal parts struggle to perform their function. Ride vehicles are missing paint. Rides frequently break down. And there has been an incident when a metal cable snapped and severed a child's leg on Xcelerator. Knott's settled with the family out of court for an undisclosed amount. If you have deep pockets, go to Disneyland instead. If you have small children and cannot tolerate waiting in long lines, go to Adventure City instead. But if you are a cheapskate who loves roller coasters, Knott's Berry Farm will satisfy that need for speed! NEVER visit on a Saturday or a Sunday afternoon (I learned that the hard way). Best to visit on a weekday or Sunday morning from 10am-1pm. Avoid all major holidays.

Yelp
Knotts Berry Farm is the best!! In my opinion and my family it out does Disney by far!!!!!! The park is well spread out, lots of room, great selection of stores with so many unique items, and it's totally a foodie park too! So many selections, and now that it's close to Christmas they have their special menus up through out the park!! Everything we had was so delicious, home made stuff! We got a season pass!! Love it here!!!

Yelp
A fan favorite theme park for all ages. After 15 years since the last time I came here, it brought back some nostalgic memories. Knotts berry farm is an amusement park that I believe is one of the best in California. The rides here are smaller than six flags magic mountain where I reside and yet, with how small the rides look in comparison, it packs a big punch. I have been to California great America and after going to both, the two are almost identical in intensity of the rides. I brought my friend to Southern California as he was residing in Northern California, he is a thrill seeker and since nobody else I know is, it worked out. We ended up going to the most intense rides as described below: 1. Xcelerator (4/5) - this is one of the most fun rides at the park, it has an amazing launch and is incredibly intense. The drop is 90 degrees over a top hat and although smaller than others in the United States, is a great refresher to the day. 2. Supreme Scream (5/5) - this ride has a gut wrenching drop that's about 252 feet tall. The launch downwards was so intense, it was even more so than the launch on Xcelerator. Takes the cake as the most intense ride there. Line is super short for a reason. 3. Hangtime (3.5/5) - tame coaster, with great airtime, a 96 degree drop and fairly short ride. The first drop is a little bit intense, but the rest of the ride was tame although fairly fast. 4. Ghostrider (4.5/5) - excellent woody, no loops, but overall fast and has decent airtime with a few intense drops. Very fun coaster for high school kids and young adults, long freakin line though. Good amount of time on ride though. 5. Montezoomas revenge (4.5/5) - great launch, intense spike drops and intense airtime, strong coaster, but has been remodeled and still closed. 6. Sierra sidewinder (4/5) - less intimidating looking than the actual experience, disorienting twisting coaster with fast intensity turns and good airtime. Not super intense but fun. 7. Silver Bullet (4/5) - fast and intense coaster, but similar to Batman at six flags, some lightheaded intensity in the outside loop, overall very fun coaster. 8. Pony express (3/5) worst coaster in park, but doesn't suck. It's fun and has a weird sitting position as if you are riding a horse. 9. Calico mine ride/ train ride/ log ride (2/5) - family rides that were too tame, but the calico mine ride is a long fun family ride after eating a heavy lunch. 10. Skytower (1/5) - boring, slow rotating tower lifting ride that shows the entire park, at least it was air conditioned. Went after riding all intense rides for a break. Overall, these are my top 10-12 attractions I recommend, some of the others are relatively tame rides that can be found at county fairs like the carousel and upside down rotating thrill ones. The shows were bad, singing country family songs. The public had a lot of high school students on summer break and children which was kind of annoying, but it gave back memories of my old high school friends. Overall a great theme park with tolerable intensity rides although the supreme scream is way more intense than guardians at Disneyland.

Yelp
Knotts Berry farm has been such a memory for my niece and I. We've had passes for four years and never got tired of it. We'd go after work/school, on a weekend, or just for a quick night out. We absolutely have loved every moment. There is plenty to do for children and adults. Camp snoopy offers rides appropriate for little ones and an adult is able to accompany them on most. The adult rides are thrilling and come in a variety of styles. Passes are very affordable compared to most theme parks. With a pass, you get discounts on food and merchandise. I suggest adding parking, it's well worth it.

Yelp
I've been wanting to come to visit Knott's Berry Farm, and finally I did it. However, it's a very disappointing experience. First, the parking facilities are very disorganized, few lots spreading out the area and bumping into those going through traffic not really into the parks, and signs to the main park and water park are not clear. Second, rides are so old and lack of maintenance, two out of eight coasters were never open on that day, and the rest experienced maintenance closure fairly often through out the day. Third, their app is terrible, the estimated time was never right, not even close, 30 min estimate turned out to be 70 min for one ride, and 45 min estimate ended up as 120 min for another ride. The group spent the entire day there and only got on four rides each, Calico Road (train ride), Sky Cabin (panoramic view), Coast Rider (had to come back again as it's closed for technical issue when it was almost our turn, not worth more than one hour waiting time), Calico River Rapids (again it was closed and had to come back, definitely not worth more than two hours). You might have to get the fast pass to have better time although all together with admission near double the price, certainly not worthy it, and I'd go for Disney for a slightly better experience.

Yelp
It's not Disneyland, I'm sorry, it doesn't even come close and I'm sorry to say that I'm spoiled by how streamlined, app based, and guest comes first experience that Disney has to offer. First and foremost, I love the Peanuts. I think Snoopy and Woodstock are super cute mascots and I think I'm leaning more towards liking them as generic animal mascots than say Mickey and friends, so they get points on that. Though I find it much more difficult to find Knotts merchandise online or to find an online shop or even a "Knotts Influencer" who shows off all the merch so I know what's in store for me versus the plethora of Disney resources there are out there, what gives?? App is largely useless aside from preloading the QR code for your tickets and the Boysenberry tasting tickets too. The equivalent of a DAS pass is done by a physical paper and pen, the map is extremely difficult to navigate and is not very user friendly, so it was difficult to see which rides were open and which weren't and where to find food or just to find where things were in general. There is no option to mobile order food or to do mobile order merchandise so you will have to wait in lines instead of picking up things later on. My other biggest gripe was that due to inclement weather they closed the park at 6 PM?? Disney didn't close until 8 PM and they were telling everyone that the shops would remain open until 7 PM, but by the time we were outside, we were told the restaurant outside would be open until 7 PM and the gift shops would close at 6:30 PM. I guess they're severely short staffed since so many restaurants and kiosks were closed and so many things were closed so early and so many people had to be ushered out. A bit disappointing to be honest. Other than that, I DO really like how Knotts goes super hard on their theming and merchandising for their Boysenberry festival. There's so many cute and neat things to look at in their shops and the historical buildings and such and because it's not so saturated and on social media as Disney, I feel like there's much more to explore and see. They have way more unique food option at the Boysenberry Festival than they do at the Food & Wine at DCA (though our options were nerfed due to the rain). It's not a bad park and there are lots of discounts out there, but like I said...my views on parks have just been so influenced by how magical Disney is...

Yelp
My kids had a blast at Knott's!! It made it convenient staying at Knott's hotel as it's only like a 5 minute walk from the hotel. I will say it's 100% worth it to just buy the fast passes. It was $100 extra per ticket but my kids had little to no wait and were able to ride ALL of the rides when most had a 60-75 minute wait for the more popular rides. The fast passes take you to a separate line/entrance and they were first to go on the rides and pick their seats. It was a weekday so not all of the food vendors were open but there was still plenty of spots to grab drinks and snacks/food. If we come back it'll be for Knott's Scary Farm and I'll be dishing out the extra dough for the fast passes again. Thanks for a great family fun day!!

Yelp
Really enjoyed the park! Great time! Even upgraded to the season pass. Check online as prices seem to be lower online than in person!

Yelp
A SoCal classic that has that nostalgic feel but new generations can still enjoy. Me and my family have had a pass now for about 10 years. We did skip a few years due to financial reasons but we missed it so much that we had to renew again. If you don't have a pass the best deal is to get it when they start the special of buy next year get the rest of the current year free. This usually happens around August/September. For the little kids they have Camp Snoopy which my son loved and still enjoys but now that he is older he does like to go on the bigger rides. During the holiday season such as Christmas time hey decorate the park so cute and festive. Then they have the Snoopy on ice holiday such which is always an amazing show and this year it seems they have revamped it to make it even better. In the summer we also love to go to soak city. Ideally for us we love to go right when they open and leave about mid day. For us this seems the best to enjoy the lazy river, wave pool and a few rides. We feel and noticed that as the day goes on it gets more packed and the water does not seem as clean. One thing I will say is the park does seem to get more packed now. I'm not sure if its due to the cheap price, Disneyland costing to much now or a combination of both so be prepared for crowds during peek times especially on the weekends. Still overall I think it is a great value for the family especially if you get the pass.

Yelp
Knotts Berry Farm is an absolute blast! This theme park has something for everyone, from thrilling rides to charming attractions. The atmosphere is lively, and you can feel the excitement in the air as you walk through the gates. One of the highlights of my visit was definitely the boysenberry funnel cake. It was the perfect treat after a day filled with rides! The cake was light and fluffy, generously topped with a sweet boysenberry sauce and a mountain of whipped cream. Seriously, it was a slice of heaven and definitely a must-try when you visit! The park itself is well-maintained, and the staff is friendly and helpful, making the experience even more enjoyable. With a variety of rides and entertainment options, there's never a dull moment. Whether you're a thrill-seeker or just looking for a fun day out with family and friends, Knotts Berry Farm is worth the visit. Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Came here for Knott's Scary Farm and as usual they knocked it out of the park. We went on Halloween night and got through all the mazes with all but one maze being at 5 minute wait times. Felt very fortunate for that. We easily could have walked through again but it all felt very satisfactory. We stayed for one the three offered shows, the big circus acrobatic one (which honestly is mainly dancing). Thanks knott's, I'll keep coming back!

Yelp
Ok came here for Knott's Scary Farm last Friday and I had a very good time! Only thing I do not like is that everything is cashless and they measure purses! Luckily, I had the right size and did not have to get a locker like the others that were with me. Anyways, regular parking is $35.00 and preferred/ handicap is $50.00. Quite expensive but what's new. The lines were not that bad and they have fast track for purchase if you want! They have food and of course their popular fried chicken if hungry. Reasonable prices, but I did not eat. The Mazes were cool and long with much effort put into them. It's not too scary like how it use to be with the scare walking around. However, I had so much fun I forgot to take pics! I will be back again! -Marshay D.

Yelp
It's definitely "knot" the happiest place on Earth! The tickets are 1/4 of what Disney charges and it's a good enough theme park but the customer service is horrible! From the first ride, it was noticeable how melancholy the ride workers were. I thought maybe it was just one, but ride after ride it was a bunch of miserable workers. The food workers, the stores, even the Information desk. It definitely makes someone wonder, just what kind of a company Knott's Berry Farm is running! I will say that in addition to the cheaper ticket prices, the all day dining is a great deal EXCEPT the lines are so long, it is about 30-40 minutes lost standing in line to get a meal. It does pay for itself though. The theming is cute, the rides are cute, the food for theme park standards is good. The 4D Berry ride kept going down, we stood in line and waited it out and it was a fun ride but an indefinite shut down every few hours is an issue that needs to be fixed. Put some money and time into it! also I lost my wallet, I've had to go to lost and found before. I retraced my steps, then went to them to say where it might be and put a report in. Then I went to the location where I am pretty sure I dropped it, the train. One of the people manning the exit door went to ask another person and came back to tell me to go to Information, nobody looked on the train which was currently empty and not running. I told them I did and she said "well then that's on you"...ok. I can say I've done it, and leave it at that. Sometimes you get what you pay for...

Yelp
This place has fallen apart. Got there early, did a few rides. Got stuck on one for about 45 mins. Very uncomfortable! Walked around, a solid 30% of the rides were closed or down for repair. Went on a roller coaster and got disgustingly nauseous. Left the park after 4 hrs.

Yelp
Knotts Berry Farm is a wonderful theme park to visit, especially if you're over the age of 13. They have a ton of thrill rides, great food, and incredible entertainment. If you go during a seasonal event, it adds an extra layer of happiness and fun into your visit. I highly recommend purchasing an annual pass, especially if you plan on going 3+ times in a year. It is worth the price and very economical. Do beware that there's a lot of unsupervised teens. It can feel a bit overrun by them and the staff don't do much, unless is Scary Farm. Lastly, parking can be a bit difficult, so if you're local, I'd recommend a ride share. Overall, we're very happy with our Knotts pass and look forward to visiting again.

Yelp
Easy through the front gate and pretty uncrowded inside. A good day to have an annual pass

Yelp
I've been going to Knott's Berry Farm since I was a kid and every time we go it's a great experience. We recently got our season passes and it's definitely worth the money. Discounts on all purchases around the park and free parking.

Yelp
2nd Annual Knotts' Scary Farm visit. Highly recommended the "Boo-Fet" that includes early entrance/access to the park. The buffet selection is impressive, showcasing favorites like fried chicken, mashed potatoes, all the sides, a taco bar, salad bar, roast beef and roasted turkey station and an impressive dessert bar. With the early entrance perk, was able to knock out 6 mazes in the first hour and was finished with all the mazes before 10pm and enjoyed the live shows and vibes after until closing. Also included is a souvenir cup that gives you free refills on soft drinks all night and all of 2024 if you return with your cup. Really good bang for your buck!

Yelp
This theme park sucks. The ride operation is god awful. It takes 5 minutes to load people onto the pony express and apparently the "handicaps" and fast lane slow everyone down. I just saw them load a train with 6 empty seats when the line is "90" minutes long.

Yelp
In my opinion the best time to go is during Knott's Scary Farm! A decent amount of the rides are still open, more of the thriller type rides which makes for an adrenaline packed night of horror mazes and rides. I know it may seem like a lot but it is extremely worth it to get the fast pass for the mazes and rides if you really want to experience it all. Last year I remember waiting almost 2 hours for ghost rider and the rest of the evening was killed from the tiring wait. They do have these cool IV bag inspired drink pouches too you can sip on around the park and it's nice and refreshing!

The park is consistently spotless, a testament to the dedicated efforts of the staff who work tirelessly to maintain its pristine condition. It's a pleasure to wander through the park, knowing that every corner is impeccably cared for. As a frequent visitor, I've come to appreciate the warm hospitality extended by the park's employees. Their kindness and helpfulness add an extra layer of enjoyment to each visit, making me feel truly valued as a guest. And let's not forget the rides! While I may occasionally indulge in people-watching, no trip to Knott's Berry Farm is complete without experiencing the thrill of its iconic attractions. Whether it's a leisurely stroll through the park or an exhilarating ride, there's something for everyone to enjoy. Of course, no visit to Knott's Berry Farm would be complete without treating yourself to their legendary funnel cake topped with decadent ice cream. With a season pass offering unlimited visits and no blackout dates for just $120, Knott's Berry Farm continues to exceed expectations year after year. Thank you, Knott's Berry Farm, for always making me feel welcome and ensuring that every visit is a truly unforgettable experience!

Yelp
Ah yes, a big thrilling theme park. First, the good, I really enjoyed the Timber Mountain Raft Ride, and thought it was the best ride in the park. The macaroni and cheese was good, and some other rides were enjoyable. Second, the bad, the park was dirty, most of the food was mid to bad, the speaker system kept glitching constantly, the mouse coaster was so jerky but mildly fun, and very thrilling, the dark ride was horrible, the bumper cars were also mildly fun, but dirty, and the ride Calico River Rapids barely got me wet. If I could this would be 1.5 stars, because there are seem redeemable portions. Also, I hope Ryan Trahan sees this and puts this review in his next video.

Yelp
Came here on Mothers Day and it was surprisingly not crowded at all! The greeters were handing out flowers to all the mothers too which I thought was very sweet. I'll start with the pros Pros: The park is quite small so it's definitely possible to get to most of the rides, and all of the big coasters, in one day. The Boysenberry festival is such a unique and fun take on the adjustment park foodie experience and the options are abundant The parking is plentiful with a designated pathway to and from the park The Boysenberry bundle package which included admission, parking, and three tasting menu items, was a great deal! Especially considering how big some of the boysenberry menu portions were -- they weren't just small bites Cons: The first two rides we tried riding were closed down and one didn't open the rest of the day which was pretty disappointing Although the parking was easy once we found it, it was difficult to actually find it to begin with -- there's no signage around the park to guide you there (maybe all the locals just know where to go?) and we kept getting confused by the signage for the water park If we didn't have the boysenberry pass, I would say the food is not worth the price, although I guess that's probably true of most theme parks!
