"Bruno Davaillon is a giant in the Dallas food scene and brunch is probably the city’s most beloved meal, so awarding his restaurant with the title of Best Brunch is no small honor. After a name change in 2022 that came with a menu refresh that dialed up the French bistro influences, Knox’s excellence as a brunch destination was fully realized. With lovely baked goods like the pecan maple sticky bun and almond croissant, all made in-house, and rustic dishes including quiche, baked eggs served in a skillet, a gravlax and trout board, and oysters, diners can be transported to Paris or to the French seaside." - Courtney E. "A straight shot on US-75 north of Downtown, Knox-Henderson is one neighborhood with two personalities. On the west of 75 is the Knox district, a family friendly area with plenty of high-end shopping boutiques, classy and tasty restaurants, and the north end of the Katy Trail. The party-hard Henderson side has a younger, hipper vibe full of bars and dance clubs. Together, Knox-Henderson offers an atmosphere that is difficult to find anywhere else in the city. Yelp
First time here and just took a chance ordering a girl dinner of a bunch of apps and sides! Everything was delicious!! Started with spinach dip, which server told us to squeeze the lemon on it that it was served with, not a huge fan of lemony on my food but we tried it and it was yum!!! Brussels sprouts were sweet and saucy, Mac and cheese was a dream and the cornbread with jalapeno butter was to die for!! Service was great and attentive, restaurant was clean and cute! we will definitely return!! Nice place for a date or a girl's date!!!

Yelp
Came here for lunch on a girls day! It's in such a cute little area and the food is delicious. We started out with cocktails. I had the pineapple daiquiri and she had the coconut mojito. You could tell the drink were made with really fresh Ingredients and the flavors mixed well together. For my meal I decided on the salmon bowl and my mom had the poke bowl. Both were super fresh and full of flavor. We had to finish off with dessert because the options were too good. We went with the German chocolate cake and the piece was huge. It was tasty and not too rich and we wound up taking most of it to go because the piece was so big.

Yelp
Went here instead of a different restaurant I had in mind because of no reservations available and I'm glad it worked out that way! As a new Dallas restaurant, the need for a reservation sometimes weeks out is something I keep forgetting about. This restaurant was fully open and I hear it is a good spot to go to if you can't get in anywhere else. And didn't let that fool you, it's not because it's bad. I didn't have the highest expectations because of how easy it was to get in but I was wrong! First of all, the service is great. I was looking for a drink that was similar to one I had at a different restaurant, and instead of finding a close one on the menu, the server showed the bartender and he made it for me! Crazy! The food was also good! I got the fried chicken salad and was very impressed with the portion size and find myself thinking about it often. They have great ranch too. I will say, it's a little on the pricey side. The ambiance is okay, but could be nicer, and I'm not sure the food prices really match. For this reason, I probably won't come back unless I can't get a reservation somewhere else, but will look forward to it if I do come back, and recommend checking it out if you need a reservation asap!

Yelp
Great service from our waiter. We tried out his recommended shareable plates and drinks, which we all enjoyed. Their burrata is a must. We ended the night with the Gooey Butter Cake. It doesn't say much on the dessert menu description but we were surprised on how yummy it was. The restaurant has a dim lighting to it in the evening, which just makes the place so cozy.

Yelp
I have been to The Porch a few times and it is a very consistent restaurant. The giant cinnamon roll was delicious and can definitely be shared with multiple people. The salmon bowl is to die for. I've ordered it all the times I have gone and I have never been disappointed. They have a nice variety on their menu and would be a good fit for everyone in your group! The service was a little slow but we were a larger group so that's understandable. Overall, highly recommend and will definitely be returning to try some other menu items. Note: They have $2 martinis on Tuesday! There is complimentary valet parking right behind the restaurant.

Yelp
Food service and ambiance is great. The servers were kind and food was tasty. Will definitely come again.

Yelp
Our server was amazing! It was after the lunch rush hour, and we had to wait for about 10-15 minutes though there were open tables; the weather was nice, so it was a welcomed opportunity to sit outside. The restaurant is pretty dimly lit which some people might enjoy. I like the nod to historical moments in history around the restaurant. We got the chorizo biscuits; at first they only brought one even though the special said "biscuitS". The server corrected it IMMEDIATELY. I enjoyed my sandwich, but the menu was limited. The rice bowl pictured was dry and the burger was mediocre. The apps and specials seemed to be the best items in the menu. It's not somewhere I would visit with friends when they're in town, nor is it on my top places to go. Maybe if I enjoyed breakfast foods more, I would like this place more.

Yelp
I called The Porch this Saturday afternoon around 11:30 and spoke to a friendly younger woman named Alex, who helped me book a reservation for 15 minutes later at 11:45. Once our group arrived at the restaurant, we were seated immediately and taken care of by Aldi, who did an excellent job as our waitress. For the appetizers, both the spinach Parmesan dip and pretzel were solid. The entrees of chicken fried steak and briscut tacos were also both delicious. The salmon burger was just okay in my opinion, and was the one thing I wouldn't get again. Their dessert was all solid too. My fiancés mom liked the key lime the best, while my fiancé and my fiancés dad liked the gooey butter cake the most. Last, just overall good feels of the restaurant itself. We would come back again the next time we are back in Dallas!

Yelp
Grub was so good it cured my stage 4 cancer! IT killed me and sent me to heaven! I'm gonna eat here everyday! I'm never leaving.

Demus H.

Yelp
This place was absolutely trash everything about it was awful food was very basic waiter couldn't remember the order people that greet you at the door are very mean dismissive passes of aggressive it's like they don't even want to be there, the food is trash for sure do not waste your time

Mark R.

Yelp
Enjoyed our brunch at the Porch. Beautiful restaurant. It was busy and full of chatter, but the decor and build out had a great way of dampening the noise. We had the Texas omelette, the brunch quesadilla and the eggs Benny and also an iced matcha. Food came really quick and was very tasty. Eggs Benny came on a cornbread muffin with a cilantro hollandaise sauce which was delicious. Only complaint is the potatoes were not cooked long enough. Best to make a reservation.

Keyona D.

Yelp
Me and my friend came to this restaurant to celebrate her birthday. The service was so great and the drinks were soooo good. The brisket was alittle dry to me. Otherwise everything was good. The outside patio is perfect for photos.

Celeste M.

Yelp
I called a last minute reservation in for Saturday evening and they were able to accommodate me and my family members. The hostess was friendly where she greeted us and we were seated promptly. We all really enjoyed the meals that we ordered. I had the chilled cheese and tomato soup, my husband and father had the burger, and my mom had the salmon burger. The service was phenomenal and the ambiance was calm and it was just what we needed after a long day of activities. Amber the manager stopped by our table and she really went out of her way to make this a special evening. We cannot wait to go back, maybe for brunch next time.

Mereen J.

Yelp
We stopped by on a Friday for a late lunch and found free parking behind the restaurant (there was also valet, but they were wrapping up it seemed like). The place had great reviews which is why we decided to come and we came at a time where it was lively, but not extremely packed and hectic. The vibe I expected was Southern Porch which the patio/outside seating area had, but the inside gave me more of a fancy old college library (Harvard, Yale etc lol). It's still very cute! They seated us immediately, however the service was very slow! I don't know if it's because they were understaffed or if there were just a lot of new staff, but it took a while for them to bring our water, take our order, bring our order etc. However the food was great! FOOD - Brisket Nachos - This was on 'The Big Board' that day. Great, but the tortillas to chips ratio was off. Needed more toppings or less chips. - Short Rib Stroganoff - I've always hated Stroganoff (b/c of TV dinner versions), but now I understand. The short ribs were so tender and my FAVORITE part were the large pieces of mushrooms and carrots! - Chicken Fried Steak - I liked it more than my husband did, but my favorite was the green beans and garlic mash (used it as inspo for Thanksgiving)! The portions were massive and we may have ordered dinner food for lunch, but we had plenty to take home and I even made 2 more meals out of mine. I would give them a 5 just for the Short Rib Stroganoff, but my husband wasn't as satisfied with his Chicken Fried Steak itself and the Brisket Nachos ratio was a little off, but mostly it's a 4 because of the slow service. I'm just going to give them the benefit of the doubt for that day though and think the food was still very good!

Yelp
We went on a rainy Wednesday afternoon for lunch. The restaurant was pretty empty and we got seated quickly. Everyone there was nice and very attentive. I got the poke bowl which (waiters exact words) best thing on the menu and it did not disappoint. The poke bowl was good and very flavorful I just wish there was more. We also had the chicken friend steak which was good too just needed a little salt and pepper. Overall great experience

Dana K.

Yelp
Had a great team lunch here and none of the 5 of us had been here before, we'll all go back! All of the food was delicious w the favorites being spinach Parmesan dip, smoked brisket enchiladas & gooey butter cake. Service was great and vibe nice. Only reason they did not get 5 stars is that three of us had on black dress pants and the white napkins left lint/fuzz all over our black pants when we left. We had to get lint rollers on the way back to the office.

Yelp
We needed a good meal after traveling all day and saw that The Porch wasn't too far from where we were staying. It has good reviews and the food looked right up our alley. The restaurant was fairly empty on the inside while the porch seating area was a little busier. We were seated immediately and our waitress was really nice and bubbly. I ordered an arnold palmer and for food, we got a side of the kale caesar salad, The Porch burger with fries, the short rib stroganoff, and the cornbread. The good: the cornbread was to die for. It was piping hot and the edges were still slightly hard/crispy when it arrived on our table. The jalapeño honey butter spread was so fluffy and paired with the cornbread phenomenally. I'd eat this everyday if I could! I also enjoyed the kale caesar salad but wish it wasn't as tangy as it was. The short rib stroganoff was definitely really unique and tasted really good with the extra vegetables that are traditionally not a part of this dish. The mediocre/bad: we were not very impressed with the burger even though it sounded like it would be one of their signature dishes. It was pretty mediocre at best and needed more flavor since it was on the bland side. Lastly, even though our waitress was nice and personable, the service was just far too slow. A meal that should've been an hour at most took nearly 2 hours just because after we'd ask about something, it would take forever until she got back to us. With such a slow night on a random week day, it took a lot of our time and we were already really tired. Overall, the food was decent here and I think the main reason we'd ever come back if we were in town again would be to get the cornbread. But we'd get it to go this time.

Jocelyn G.

Yelp
A nice restraint with a great atmosphere. The food is like your typical American food and everything is pretty good, but nothing outstanding. I ordered the salmon burger and upgraded the fries to be Mac and cheese instead. My friend ordered the chicken with a side of Brussels sprouts. The salmon burger was good, but it was a bit dry for me. The Mac and cheese was very saucy and on the thinner side. I prefer my Mac and cheese to be thicker, so I would recommend the Brussels sprouts instead.

Yelp
Great service, great burger and great beer, cool location as well to barhop. Will come back

Yelp
For over 5 years this had been my go-to, dependable place for good food in a nice, classy-casual ambience, including the sharp looking wait staff. And you had better made your reservations for Saturday by Thursday. Today I'm not sure how it's still in business. Over the last 2 years the place was not full and less than half full on a Thursday or Sunday. The food is still good, but they are one of those places that think their food is so good they don't need to put salt on the tables. Ambience has gone to hell in the last 2 years. When I was there this past weekend the lighting was too bright. Apparently they forgot to install a dimmer when they "fixed their lights" because they could only turn them off. This was probably my last time there for dinner. Would probably go for lunch.

Yelp
This was our last dinner in Dallas before we went back to the East Coast. I have to say we ate very well in Dallas thanks to the great Yelpers out there. You never steered me wrong. This place was top notch. We sat outside at a long table. They rolled back the awning half way through dinner as it was so nice outside. We started with the spinach artichoke dip and some cocktails. I didn't try it but everyone said it was great. I got salmon on a bed of crunchy coconut rice, which was delicious. One colleague got the grilled cheese, which was substantial. Several kinds of cheese and bread that reminded me of me of Texas toast made that a winner according to my colleague. Another person got short rib stroganoff, which she raved about how great it was. Service was good and the server had great recommendations and deep knowledge of the menu. One colleague got a kale salad, which she said was fine except she did say, it could have been tossed better. Otherwise everything was excellent.

Sandra C.

Yelp
The short beef stroganoff was very delicious! The Tini Tuesday special is a steal with a gin martini and blue cheese stuffed olives for just two dollars. It is two dollars to change to vodka. The blue cheese stuffed olives are not gourmet but for the price, not bad. Porch seating out front was nice for people watching.

Kayla M.

Yelp
This place was good! Solid recommendation for brunch. I would give 5 stars to the staff, as our waiter was incredibly nice and helpful. I would also give 5 stars to the spinach dip, which was delicious! Would highly recommend the hot fried chicken and biscuits. Porch burger was also great. Ambiance is casual. Tons of drinks to choose from.

Bhavika K.

Yelp
I chose this place for a girls brunch and I was slightly disappointed. We got there and were able to take advantage of the complimentary valet and got our table right away with our reservation. The interior was very cute and felt like a really nice place to be. Everything seemed to be leaning towards a good brunch but to me food makes or breaks the whole experience. We first had to wait quite a bit of time to get our order taken but it was okay because my friends and I were all catching up so the time was passing quickly. I was feeling something savory so I got breakfast tacos and asked for it to be vegetarian. The tacos were so small and not worth the price. The menu made it sound delicious with chipotle and potatoes in it but there was nothing in it except for eggs in the smallest tacos I have ever seen. I thought it was just my food but one of my friends got the french toast and only the crunchy parts of it were tasty. The other parts of it were just too soggy to eat. The only item that was alright was the cornbread but the butter on top was not good and wasn't as expected.

Yelp
Amber, Amber, Amber - the front of the house Manager on the 21st night of September (in my Earth, Wind & Fire voice)! First off, we love the vibe at The Porch restaurant and expected nothing less on this evening, but the service we received was way above what we could have ever expected! We'd actually requested to be seated on the patio with friends, but it started to get hot outside, so we asked if we come inside instead. Our server politely let us know that the restaurant was quite full, and he would most likely not be able to accommodate - BUT would check with the front of the house manager - Amber. While confirming the server's observation (not overriding it), Amber says, with a cool confidence, "but we can make this happen". She and the serving staff literally picked up our table and moved it to a prime spot in the dining room!! WHO DOES THAT?! AND for rest of the night, SHE (Amber - the front of the house Manager) served our table personally. We chatted and laughed with her, along with our guest! She even introduced us to her daughter. It was truly a divine experience, indescribable really. By the end of the night, we were in awe of the connections that were just made - and it wasn't because of the wine! lol We all hugged her, as we left for the night. Amber, we wish you and your family much success and many blessings in the future -professionally and personally!! The Porch: Amber is a gem! She makes your restaurant look GREAT! She should be promoted ASAP!

Brent V.

Yelp
Amazing place! We thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere, service, and food. The price was way lower than expected so that topped it off. We will definitely be back. Keep up the great work 'The Porch'!!!

Chelsea M.

Yelp
The atmosphere was really chill. It was pretty empty for a Saturday morning so the service was fast and food tasted even better. ALSO the Johnny cakes are a must try!!

Senhora K.

Yelp
I dined with a large group at The Porch on a Saturday. The service was very friendly and quick and the food was good, except for the chicken liver mousse. The Johnny Cakes were large fluffy pancakes with corn in the batter and bacon sandwiched between. They were so good, even my vegetarian friend was tempted to try a piece that didn't touch the bacon. I'm sure you could order these with the bacon on the side and have a wonderful vegetarian dish. The tuna crudo with watermelon and the spinach dip were both excellent. Valet parking was free and a breeze. Can't wait to go back!

Jenna P.

Yelp
Ryleigh is our favorite server at The Porch and we eat there weekly. Christian is a great backup server. Everything on the menu is perfection! Be sure to start off with a hot pretzel and whipped butter and then my son's favorite shifts between the chicken fried steak and the grilled salmon bowl. My personal favorites are The Porch Burger or Steak and Eggs, equally delicious! Mimosas are delicious! You cannot go wrong here! Absolutely love it!

Lindsey M.

Yelp
I was eager to try out this popular spot, with a cool and fun outdoor presence in the Knox/Henderson area. The hostess and wait staff were helpful, kind, and prompt, but the food was lacking for me. I ordered the Hot Chicken and Biscuits, which came with two eggs (side note: yay, yum!). But when the food arrived, albeit quickly; as I was cutting into the first biscuit, I noticed that the hot chicken was simply breaded chicken with a buffalo sauce, to accompany it, upon half of a biscuit. In addition to this, the gravy was almost sweet in contrast to the sour and spice of the buffalo flavor, which just wasn't a wonderful combination. Otherwise, presentation was great and the dish was interesting, especially if you are looking for a new twist on the southern classic. Personally, I love a good peppered gravy and am a huge fan of any form of hot chicken, but I was thrown off by the general flavor profile of this take on this classic brunch item. It would have also helped to have had some salt or pepper shakers on the table, but it seemed to be not available unless requested and we had only interacted with our waitress to order and for the check. Overall, my score is mainly representative of what I ordered and not an accurate representation of the service I received, thank y'all regardless! The general vibe of the place is welcoming, hip, and warm with a touch of industrial flair, almost Austin-reminiscent! Lots of negative space makes the place feel large and would be a great place to host an event of some sort. I look forward to coming back another time in the day and trying something of the lunch/dinner menu.

Gabriella F.

Yelp
We went to The Porch last night (Wednesday at 7) with our two pups and were immediately seated on their AIR CONDITIONED outdoor patio. It was a game changer!! And it gets better.. the manager immediately brought over dog bowls without even having to ask, and he brought dog treats too (but handed them to us so we could make the decision to give them to the dogs or not). Honestly, I've never felt so welcomed by a restaurant. Later on, one of the servers brought them each a piece of chicken (with our permission). This started out as a random bite with one of my friends to catch up, and we're already saying that this needs to be our go to based on how they treated our dogs, Axel and Gertie. I hadn't been back in 3-4 years, and wow I'm so glad I did.

Yelp
I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Porch, and let me just say, it was an absolute delight from start to finish! This charming establishment exceeded my expectations in every way, leaving me with a huge smile on my face and a satisfied tummy. First and foremost, the food at The Porch is simply outstanding. Their menu offers a delectable range of dishes that cater to various palates. From the perfectly grilled steaks to the mouthwatering seafood options, each bite was a burst of flavor. The quality of ingredients was evident in every dish, and the presentation was nothing short of Instagram-worthy! Not only was the food top-notch, but the atmosphere at The Porch was also incredibly inviting. The cozy yet stylish decor, adorned with warm lighting and rustic elements, created a relaxed and enjoyable ambiance. The outdoor seating area, complete with charming string lights and comfortable seating, added a touch of magic to the evening. Whether you're looking for a romantic dinner or a casual get-together with friends, The Porch offers the perfect setting for any occasion. Now, let's talk about the service. The staff at The Porch were exceptional--friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with genuine warmth and promptly seated. The waitstaff was attentive without being intrusive, providing insightful recommendations and answering all my questions with a smile. They truly went above and beyond to ensure my dining experience was memorable. Kudos to the entire team for their professionalism and exceptional service! Crystal was just exceptional In conclusion, if you're looking for a restaurant that checks all the boxes--amazing food, delightful atmosphere, and exceptional service--The Porch is the place to be. Whether it's a special occasion or a casual outing, this hidden gem will undoubtedly leave you with a lasting impression. Make sure to call ahead and reserve a table, as this place is rightfully popular!

Jaclyn H.

Yelp
The Porch seems to be a very popular spot especially with the locals. If the locals approve then you know it must be good. My husband and I stopped in for lunch without a reservation during lunch. Luckily we got there before the crowds came rolling in because boy did it get busy quickly. Reservations are highly suggested especially with larger groups. The staff was quick to greet us as soon as we sat down. They have a variety of adult beverages to appease everyone. We ordered the spinach dip, along with numerous other tables around us, a popular item on the menu. The dip is so so good! They add bread crumbs to the top which is just perfection! Must try!!! The flavors in each of the entree just compliment each other so well. The presentation is well do and not throw onto the plate. You can tell the kitchen staff takes pride in preparing each dish. Overall, our experience at The Porch was great! Delicious food and good service at a beautiful establishment.

Aaron M.

Yelp
A late dinner on a stormy night did not disappoint. The waiter Matt was fantastic! Stuffed mushroom appetizer was delicious. The short rib stroganoff was absolutely delicious in all of the ways... beautiful in fact. The ambience was just wonderful.

Farhana E.

Yelp
2/5 food 4/5 drinks 1/5 ambience 5/5 service Great place for drinks and apps with your pet and friends! The service is phenomenal and accommodating. Not a good place for date night tho or big groups for a night out. Much better for day time drinking and hanging out. It gives the vibes of an upscale diner the way it's setup or decorated.

Jake M.

Yelp
Been going to this restaurant for 15 years. Very nice relaxing place to have a good lunch.

Carlotta L.

Yelp
Listen, that bread pudding French Toast is everything! Please try it! Also the smoked ham Mac n cheese was so yummy! The location and ambiance is really cute. We went for Sunday funday. I definitely recommend! I would definitely return!!!

Brook H.

Yelp
10/10 for the greatest soft pretzel in Dallas They have a pretzel of the month club, and WONDERFUL cocktails. The service was great, and ambiance wasn't too bad as the patio was enclosed.

D'Ann K.

Yelp
Came for brunch and it was awesome. If you come, ask for Adarrian, he provided great service.

Chia B.

Yelp
Post renovations The Porch is still a solid restaurant serving comfort food favorites. I went there with 3 guests and a baby. Everyone enjoyed their entrees. The spinach dip was okay, nothing memorable. I loved my frose, the non-alcoholic drinks could use some tweaking. It was syrupy and I wouldn't get it again. Also, service was great but it would be helpful to hear specials repeated when you're seated. They keep the specials on a board, but I didn't notice them where I was seated (facing the outdoor seating). Overall, I still like this place and hope to revisit soon.

Jerimiah R.

Yelp
Everything went quite well but it was really slow, came in on a Friday evening. The food was alright but could definitely improve, it has a really good creative date night atmosphere. The service went well.

Kara M.

Yelp
Dined here to participate in Dallas Restaurant Week, and I'm so glad we did! Loved the menu variety and the cozy, modern, home style setting. Our server, Taylor, was the best - super friendly, so sweet, and attentive (ask for her next time you visit!). The $39 prix fixe menu for Restaurant Week was awesome! Unlike some restaurants, they kept their app, entree, and dessert portions full-size for the prix fixe menu, and it was delicious. I opted for the crudité, the poke bowl, and the gooey butter cake for my choices, and I enjoyed all of them. QUICK FACTS: - Parking? Yes, there is a giant lot behind the restaurant open for parking. - Reservations? Yes, you can make reservations online via Resy, or by calling. FOOD RATINGS: - Crudité (4/5): Loved the beautiful arrangement of raw veggies. The butter radish was so interesting! The hummus and green goddess dips were delicious. Fresh and crunchy and light - a perfect way to get some veggies in. - Poke bowl (4/5): Big fan of poke bowls and this one was good. Tuna was fresh and tasty, and I loved the mushrooms and avocado and veggies. A teeny bit spicy and the perfect amount of flavor. - Porch Salad (5/5): Loved the chicken in this! Very tender and tasty. Simple salad with good flavor. - Porch Burger w/fried egg (5/5): This was a delicious burger. Adding the fried egg was worth it! Juicy and stacked with a fluffy, buttery bun. Opted for a side salad, but you could choose fries or another side. - Gooey Butter Cake (5/5): One of the best restaurant desserts I've had. Definitely on the heavier side, but sooo good and so worth it. Creamy and melty and devilishly sweet. A great ending to our meal!

Yelp
I came in for brunch with a few friends. The restaurant was not crowded and the noise level was low. The atmosphere is very nice and there were a lot of tables available. Our waiter was Edward and he was amazing. He was very attentive and accommodating of our many questions and substitutions . I got the breakfast tacos which were very tasty. Everyone at the table really enjoyed their food. And the drinks were great too. I highly recommend The Porch for anyone looking for a good brunch in DTX!

Maria C.

Yelp
Had this on my bucket list for years, so finally paid them a short visit for my nieces bday and 1st Texas visit. The service was awesome, we sat at the bar since we weren't going to stay long. The inside place is very open and full of natural light and clean lines. We have a few hand crafted cocktails and the pretzel , which was delicious. They gave my niece a birthday dessert which was also delicious. Sorry no pic but will definitely go back and provide photos.

Geraldine M.

Yelp
We decided to give this place a try. We ordered the nachos which were yummy. Everything else was mediocre at best. The cornbread appetizer was gummy, yet dry. I ordered the five cheese grilled cheese with brisket on brioche. My husband ordered the burger with a salad. My stepdaughter ordered steak fries and my friend visiting from Seattle ordered the ahi tuna bowl. None of is were impressed...with the exception of the nachos. Quite disappointing considering all the good reviews. The servers were attentive.

John J.

Yelp
Friday lunch at The Porch. My first visit was for dinner so long ago, I can't recall anything - so a fresh start. The first impression driving up to it is that you can quickly panic trying to find a parking spot in front on Henderson. Have no fear, take right on Willis Ave if heading west on Henderson and there was pre-tip complementary valet parking behind the restaurant. I really like the ambiance inside. Very open, clean, lots of comfortable booths, a nice bar, and warm atmosphere. Service for us by Liz was great. She was attentive and friendly. We both had burgers. The Porch Burger with bacon added and a side salad was very good, but the bun was very bready without much flavor. The meat was very juicy (although could have used more salt and pepper which is not on the table btw) and the bacon crisp. It was cooked perfectly medium rare as requested. Also, a bit too much crisp (not chopped) lettuce in the burger for me because combined with the thick top bun, it made the burger come apart after each bite (chopped lettuce might work better). The standard burger with fries was purported to be very good. The small portion of fries (definitely not shareable) are the crinkle type, which I personally don't care for, so glad I had the side salad. They are willing to customize the burger however you like, so don't be shy.

Yelp
Recommend giving this place a try. On a Saturday afternoon I was with my daughter out to lunch after picking up my tuxedo for her wedding. Real nice place..ambience, great brunch selections ..not heavy Service was great if you're in the neighborhood really not a bad place to consider take a break they do have complementary valet parking and outside seating. parking is an issue. Will definitely go back.

Yelp
Was told the restaurant was revamped so went back to try again. Have eaten at the Porch probably 30 times, and use to be one of my favorites. This was my first time back in 3-4 years. While I like it overall, the prices are a bit much. Didn't notice anything different. A draft beer is $9. The cocktails were a better deal. The food is pretty much the same as ever, not bad but not great. Was hoping the menu was updated, but it wasn't. The menus were think paper and dirty, which is Gross! Bartender was very friendly , as was the rest of the staff. Will probably go back, but not this place is not what it once was.

Yelp
What a great first experience at The Porch! It was recommended by a work colleague who said it is an area staple, so I could not wait to try it. I made reservations for 3 people at noon, just one day in advance, and then investigated the parking situation. There is a valet lot directly behind the restaurant (which was hosted by a super nice gentleman named Jorge) and that made parking a breeze. I was seated right away and noticed the ambiance inside the restaurant is just lovely. Our server, Crystal K was super attentive. We never wanted for a thing, yet she never hovered which was appreciated. We ordered the Buttermilk Fried Chicken Cobb, The Porch Salad, and a Salmon Burger with Tomato Soup and two iced teas. Before the tip, the bill came to $55.08. The food was delicious, the service was on-point and the parking did not cause any anxiety. All winners in my book and I look forward to going back!
