I had both peach and Blackberry, just enough sweetness alone with a crisp crust. I would've shown the Blackberry but ,I at that too fast

Went to New Port Jazz Fest 2025, Sunday. This was the worst peach cobbler that I have ever had. The owner had the audacity to charge 17.00 for a 1.5oz container. Don't waste your time or money. You can make a full pan at home for half the cost and a much better quality. I had to repost this from someone else's bad review. This was my exact experience: This place would easily get 5 stars for being absolutely terrible. The gentleman that took my order was so nonchalant & arrogant about how good they are & how they been in business for 30yrs. Queen Cobbler, you suck!!! Is a 0 Star possible?

This is our go to place for cobbler and pies. We feel so lucky to have such a special place in our neighborhood. The peach cobbler is incredible but ultimate peach cobbler is far above and beyond anything you will ever taste. The pecan and sweet potato are also a favorite. They also have these small personal pies you can get when u get a craving. No place is better for pies! I am very very picky and I even give these pies as gifts to family, friends and neighbors. Trust! Worth EVERY penny.

Tried their blackberry cobbler and banana pudding at the Las Vegas Foodieland. Not impressed at all. Crust on cobbler was not good at all and the blackberries were not sweet enough. The pudding was average.

Best peach Kobbler in town, worth the stop, they also have apple and berries kobbler. Got to call ahead of time if you want something bigger than a medium kobbler, worth it.

Look no further. These are the real pies. Lemon Icebox Pie was tart in the sweetest way, Graham cracker crust kept the sweet coming. Sweet Potato Pie also a win, spiced to perfection. I have to make a return to try the Kobblers.

Ordered waffles to be shipped. Paid about $35 for shipping for my waffles (about $65 total for 4 packs) to arrive completely thawed. Attempted to freeze them to eat, but they ended up sticking together and breaking apart when I tried to separate them. When I asked for a refund I was told cthat " they surely were not all stuck together" and to PAY for shipping supplies and shipping to receive a refund.. so you want me to pay to return the waffles because of a mistake you made and for you to dispose of them?! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. The money you pay for the product you receive is disgusting. So disappointing.

I was exhausted after a long day at work, and all I wanted was a sweet treat to end my day on a positive note. As I was driving home, I noticed the Kobbler King and remembered hearing about them at a Taste of Soul event. Without any hesitation, I decided to give it a try. I entered the shop with my son and was immediately greeted by the owner. He directed us to use his digital board to figure out what to order. Unfortunately, I arrived later in the day, and the owner informed me that he was already sold out of their bread pudding. I decided to try their monkey bread, sweet potato pie, and peach cobbler instead. Let me tell you, I was not disappointed in the slightest. Each dessert was flavorful and made with high-quality ingredients. I was impressed by the owner's hospitality. As a respectful patron, I remind myself to be patient and understanding when dealing with small businesses. It's important to remember that they have limited staff and resources. Overall, my experience at the Kobbler King was fantastic. The desserts were outstanding, the service was top-notch, and the owner's passion for his business was evident. I highly recommend giving this place a try, and I will definitely be back for more of their mouth-watering treats. Thank you, Kobbler King, for making my day a little sweeter.

My mom has ordered from here for years, and I have never been to the place! I decided to get two cobblers and monkey bread (not pictured) for Thanksgiving. The size of the cobblers seem small, but they are in a deep pan. Take a chance and fill yourself with sweetness! I ate my small peach cobbler in 3 serving, lol My family and I enjoyed it. I didn't get any monkeybread, so I have to go back. The shop is small inside with not much seating. It is a grab and go vibe. Call ahead and order if you can. The pickup will be easy. I will say the way the peach cobblers were stacked in the box caused an issue for me. First, the two large cobblers, monkey bread and two small cobblers were still warm and, packed in the box on a tilted axis. One of the cobblers seeped into my seat and now it won't come out my back seat. Anyways, double check how it is packed before you transport to your car.

Worst attitude. I don't want food from someone who appears to be mad I showed up to spend money.

I bought the peach cobbler and banana pudding. Both where disgusting, banana pudding was not fresh, cookies where horrible. The cobbler was just as nasty, I will never buy from them again. I bought it at the Taste of Soul 2024. A straight waste of money. Never again.

This establishment closed early again. As I sit outside writing this review, YELP stills says they're open. I'm so peeved I wasted more gas driving from Beverly Hills to patronize an establishment who DOES NOT HONOR THEIR BUSINESS HOURS! I pray your bottom line will reflect the distrust I experience attempting to be your customer-- no customer service, zero longevity. Fool me once, twice ----- Siri please locate a reliable pie vendor.

Ordered the banana cream pudding and the peach cobbler. Both, were just ok. Cobbler was mushy and overly sweet. Banana cream pudding could be improved with whipped cream perhaps. It was missing something. The service was curt and unkind. If you go, know what you want, pay, and get the fuck out. Don't expect a warm visit. This man is straight to business and doesn't like answering questions.

Tried some more of their peach cobbler at the Newport Beach Jazz Festival! I didn't like the flavor. I'm not upset about the price, kinda figured it would be pricey. But it definitely didn't hit that craving that I was hoping for..

I ordered the blackberry cobbler, sweet potato pie and peach cobbler. I live in Chicago. They mailed this order in a cardboard box with no insulation or perishable sign on the box on October 22, 2024 and I received it on October 25, 2024. Unbelievable that they would send food through the mail without insulation. I threw away everything!

The place is infested with roaches and they sell moldy kobblers. You can see into the back of the restaurant and see large roaches all over the place where you can also see bins of food open top less. This establishment is filthy and infested and the owner Brian is very rude and unprofessional and is verbally abusive to his customers. If I could I would give this place 0 stars. They lie about how long their kobblers have been out. They sit out for numerous days if not sold. ​

Service/ ambiance- awkward, tense, cold Cobbler- peach was 0/10, texture was slimy and flavor was sour. Blackberry was better 4/10, didn't like the sugar coated top and there were big chunks of dough inside that were hard. The owner could have been having a bad day but in this economy, I should have trusted my gut and acknowledged the red flags that foreshadowed the experience, 1. the owners dirty apron covered in smeared fruits and 2. his demeanor immediately upon entering - I was the only customer and he literally didn't speak until he needed to say "cash or card".

Owner is rude!! He never says hello and never says thank you after the purchase. The last purchase horrible!!!WTF!!! The dessert was not fresh and seemed as if it had been sitting for a few days. I want to support entrepreneurs in the black community, but they have to act as if they want our Black Dollars and not take us for granted so if you're planning on visiting the cobbler connection just take note of his personality and attitude and rudeness when you enter, and that will tell you all that you need to know, in terms of purchasing anything from this establishment.

I stay away from desserts because I don't eat sweets but my daughter loves sweets. She loves the sweet potato pie. Whenever I need to bring a dessert for an event I order from the Kobbler King. Everyone loves the desserts I bring. I follow him on social media and the reactions people give from tasting his food is cute because they are so surprised at how good they taste. Overall I haven't had anyone say that anything that I have purchased wasn't good. He is my go to for dessert.

This was the worst I had to Doctor it up so I had to scoop the Sweet potato out In order to add flavor to it tastes like just regular white sugar and Nothing more so I had to add some cinnamon, nutmeg ,Brown sugar and butter to it in order to have a taste half Way decent.

As we all know, it is really hard to find authentic soul monkey bread... well look no further!!! This spot has it and it is so good that sometimes it doesn't make it to the destination, which I've learned know to buy 2. Definitely recommend!

Purchased a blackberry cobbler & a peach cobbler from this establishment. The Blackberry was delicious, however the peach had some issues. The crust was runny & slimy. I contacted the store in regards to this issue and ole boy! THE OWNER ATTEMPTED TO DISGUISE HIMSELF AS AN EMPLOYEE. THEN PROCEEDED TO TELL ME THST NO ONE READS REVIEWS AND AS FAR AS HIS PRODUCT GOES ITS GONNA SELL NO MATTER WHAT. I told him I wasn't contacting him for a refund, just giving feedback on the product I received. His statement to me was different strokes for different folks & if I didn't like it, many others do. One monkey don't stop no show. That's the poorest example of customer service I've ever scene. I was calling initially to inquire as to how much 5 large blackberry cobblers would cost for an event. I wouldn't buy chicklets from his ass now. Business is built on customer service, ethic, and feedback from your customers. Arrogance and not giving a shit don't go far.

I don't know why you call yourself the king, you are SO not! We had your peach and apple cobbler and they were the worst. Inedible! They are still in our fridge as they were so expensive we don't know what do! Here is what to get here, not the cobbler! You can get the pecan pie. That's actually pretty good with flavors of brown sugar and caramel notes. But your "ugly" cobbler tastes like it looks, ugly! Why so much lemon? Are they old and you're trying to preserve it? Horrible! This would have been a 1 star but you got two as the pecan pie saved your ugly azzzzzzz.

The Kobbler King has the best dessert in town! I absolutely love their banana pudding! They also have a variety sweets to enjoy. If you have a sweet tooth you definitely have to check out Kobbler King!

I wasn't going to post but after hearing from a friend, who also bought monkey bread for their Thanksgiving dinner, I decided to write as her experience was exactly like mine. After searching high and low for monkey bread, I found this location. I drove about 15 miles. There was a line out the door( which I expected given the holiday). I bought a loaf of monkey bread. When I was handed the loaf to pay, it looked really brown on top and was heavy. No biggie, afterall I had never had theirs before. Fast fwd to my holiday dinner. I heated up the loaf- brushed the top w/ thin layer of warm butter. Everything went downhill... the bread was very dense and spongy to chew. It was nothing like I had ever had. My family couldn't even eat it. Thank goodness we had some store made " back up rolls". This monkey bread was horrible. The consistency wasn't good at all. Maybe their specialty are peach cobblers? Definitely NOT monkey bread. Thank goodness I bought only one loaf for $20. Unfortunately I had to throw the entire loaf away

I enjoyed the peach cobbler but I didn't like the customer service the owner came out on two separate occasions that I was there with a dirty dirty t-shirt he had some children in the front helping but I don't think they really knew what to do

Stopped by their booth at this past weekends Long Beach Lobster Fest. I love sweet potatoe pie and pecan pie so I had to made a stop here. Friendly customer service. But their prices were not so much. Double checking their website i saw that they upped their price per pie due to the festival. I guess I understand being a festival and all but damn. I ordered their sweet potatoe pie and their apple cobbler. Both were good. Nothing crazy as far as mind blowing flavors. I'd probably not try them again, especially at the price I paid for.

I went to taste of soul fest last weekend, heard good things about the cobblers. First of all I paid $10 a piece for 2 cobblers for a small amount, that was a rip off in itself, I got one for my girlfriend she said that was the worst peach cobbler she ever had. My husband said that was the nastiest most disgusting cobbler he ever had!! I will never by from them again and I will let everyone I know don't waste your money on nastiness that is supposed to be a cobbler!!!...

Ordered two cobblers today through UberEATS - one blackberry regular size; one apple, sized for 3 or four(large). The apple instead came regular size, not the large size even though I paid for the large. I tried to call to inform them, but no answer. This is unfortunate because I really wanted to order frequently from them, and had they answered, I would have let this go, but I will henceforth be extremely hesitant to order again from them through UberEats.

My Dad went to this location a week head of time to place an order for pick up on Wednesday before Thanksgiving. He paid that day and expected to pick up his items on Wednesday and be on his way. HOWEVER! When he arrived after 5pm Wednesday to pick his "reserved" Medium Peach cobbler, Small Peach cobbler & Medium Blueberry cobbler up, he was told they didn't have any more small peach cobblers, and that they only had a medium, and then the girl said "I saved the last blueberry for you". So my Dad is confused by this because he already placed his order ahead of time and was now told they didn't have one of the items he purchased & that they "held" the last blueberry for him when HE ALREADY PAID FOR THESE ITEMS! So he said the medium isn't what he ordered, but that was fine. The girl then tells him the medium is $10 more. This was NOT his fault that they gave away the small and then charged him because they no longer had what he originally paid for. He was suckered into getting the medium that is now living in the freezer because it was way too much to eat for the 2 people that wanted it hence as to why he ordered 1 small! We weren't impressed at all. The peach cobblers were just okay & the blueberry was a HARD PASS! I took a bite, tried to be nice and not waste it. Tried to pass it off to family and we all agreed no one wanted it. I don't know what type of crust they used or what else they put in it, but it tasted like there was cheese in it. I was expecting a sweet blueberry cobbler. Not a cheese blueberry cobbler! Long story long. Customer Service sucks & the cobblers we had are nothing to brag about. We probably won't be back and will stick with getting peach cobblers from Cobblers Cakes & Kream on Manchester.

Unprofessional people, nasty attitude as well as the nasty cobblers. Will never go to this hole in a wall. Filthy in the back. The only king they have is King of the nastiest cobblers and pies. My church we all not one person but all of us became sick from eating here. When we mention it to the owner there they became nasty and angry with us. NEVER WILL WE PURCHASE ANY OF THEIR LOW-BUDGET PIES AGAIN ! EVERYONE WAS SICK, INCLUDING THE CHILDREN AS WELL. Health department should close this nasty filthy business down. beware eating there. Our church would have done better just going to Ralphs and getting frozen cobblers and eating those. kobbler king, LMAO more like nasty king.

Never even got to try the cobbler. Bought one apple cobbler and one banana pudding from their food truck, after the Lionel Richie concert at the Hollywood Bowl on 8/5. Took it to go since we were walking to the car. Got home 20 min later, opened it up and the cobbler was covered in mold. Threw everything out since trust was totally broken. Not cool. Considering we paid like $12 for 2. Will never give them a second shot and will tell all our friends at the Bowl shows to pass on this business.

Honestly, I feel scammed. The peach cobbler was nothing but crust. Dry, hard crust. I knew something was up when I asked a simple question about the ingredients and he rudely tapped the container indicating for me to read it myself. Bought 3; apple, blackberry, and peach. They're all currently in the trash after a couple bites. It was inedible. On top of the unimpressive cobblers the owner or whomever was selling them was very rude. I know getting an authentic cobbler is rare being in Los Angeles, but honestly save your money, and make your own. You'll be a lot more satisfied.

I have a new favorite place called The Kobbler King. You know when you try someone's #bananapudding and it's the best you've ever had, and you think, hmmm... maybe their #peachcobbler won't be best in class? Or, maybe their #sweetpotatopie won't knock you off your feet? Not gonna happen. Close your eyes when you take your first bite of the King's #breadpudding and you'll swear you are on #bourbonstreet. Everything there is the best ever. I got a whole bag of goodies, waited till the kid was asleep, and broke it out for me and my husband. I had a teensy bite of the #pecanpie and then he commandeered it. I RAN OFF to my room with the lemon icebox cake. I made a nice decaf with steamed milk and locked the door behind me. I highly recommend you go there to celebrate your victories, commiserate about your fails, gossip with your friends and be thankful that you have your sense of taste and smell.

The apple&peach cobbler is off the hook, talking about spices and crust just like mama use to make it with love. No holding back on nothing and pricing total worth every damn dime

I purchased the peach cobbler with the pecan crust over the weekend. I prefer a juicy cobbler with a lot of crust in the juice. Though this sample had a decent amount of crust, it was dry and a pinch salty.

I got a couple sweet potato pies and a blackberry pie...I give the blackberry 2 stars only because it smells sooooo good but it tasted bland. The sweet potato pies on the other hand .... WOW!!!! So good. I'll definitely be back for those lil babies.

After having a disappointed dinner in Los Angeles. Went outside of the hotel. I notice The Kobbler king truck parking. Decided to try something sweet. I purchased Sweet Potato pie, Banana Pudding and Blackberry Kobbler. I'm not disappointed at all! All 3 that I've purchased was so yummy!! Couldn't stop eating it. It also comes with free ice cream!!! Pie and ice cream... what more can you ask for?! Thank you The Kobbler King for ending my night with a full stomach and a Smile.

The peaches are bitter , and the pecan crust taste like vanilla extract is in it . Terrible !!!

In preparation for the holiday... I received a last minute request from my family to bring Monkey Bread. I told them it was going to be hard to find a place in LA AND most importantly one that I thought would be good enough to bring. My family is very picky about Monkey Bread because we grew up with my Grandmother from Texas making us a loaf every year. I called the Kobbler King and he indicated he was just taking some bread out of the oven. He was nice enough to endure all my questions. I showed up in AM and took a chance on buying 5 loaves. Couldn't wait to get home and try it and when I did OMG! It was soooo good! It reminded me of my grandmothers, I also had my sister try it and she said "this is the Business" lol! Same response from all my family as well. Thank you Kobbler King for saving Thanksgiving !

Still the best peach cobbler I've ever had! The sweet potato pie is the best I've had too! Not too spicy or sweet, just perfect!! I will forever be the duchess of this place because it's amazing!!!!

4.5 stars rounded up I've had this place bookmarked for a while. Southern desserts are definitely my thing. I've seen Kobbler King in Albertsons and I often wondered if the cobblers at the actual bakery were better. And...yes they were! Not sure why, but it was. There's various desserts but I tried the following: Peach Cobbler ($6 small): Really good. Peaches were perfect...sweet and buttery. Lots of crust too. Choose between regular crust or pecan crust. I haven't tried the pecan yet. Sweet Potato Pie ($5 small): My favorite thus far...aside from my own. It was so good! I'll definitely be back for more. Tips: Parking could be a problem. There's no lot. Street parking only. Prices are okay but you get better savings on buying larger portions.

We Purchased a Large Peach Cobbler for our New Year feast ( "Mommie Helen's" was not at the Baldwin hills mall, perhaps rain delay) It was the one of the driest cobblers I'd ever had! The Crust was thick & mishapen, as if it was the leftover bits of pie dough. But, we tried it anyway ( sometimes Ugly in the Outside is Good on the inside..NOPE! Hardly any juice & peaches! I love a good Crust, but this was crust was crumbly! I had Cobbler from here years ago & had good Cobbler. This Pie was hastily put together with bits & pieces to make a sale! Back to Mommie Helen's!

So not the Kobbler King! I was very disappointed in both the peach cobbler and the berry cobbler.

I wanted to love this place. I'm eager about any hole in the wall that I stumble across without being told. Sadly they let me down. The berry cobbler was great. The girl was adorable and the service was good but I wasn't diggin' the sweet potato pie and the apple cobbler tasted exactly like the pie. Could be this is the best sweet potato pie on the planet. Just not my thing.

I stopped by there to get some dessert for a Halloween party. My friend lives near by so I decided to buy locally instead of getting a pie from a grocery store chain. Friendly owner/staff and I was surprised to find that the kobblers were just the right amount of sweetness. I'm used to sickeningly sweet desserts but the kobblers seemed to let other flavors shine rather than overcompensating with sugar. I wish the other flavors were more readily available but you need to call beforehand if you'd like certain kobblers on the menu. But other than that a great place to grab some down to earth desserts!

So my first review was deleted because I never went to the business but my wife had. So I decided after Bryan messaged my wife with inappropriate and rude comments I went up to order some kobbler to see what the fuss was about. Well needless to say the lady at the front counter was very pleasant and apologized for Bryans behavior. I ordered a kobbler and it was over priced and dry. So if you want to be overcharged for basic grocery store food come here!

Thee BEST COBBLERS and SWEET POTATO PIES ever!!!! My family and I have been getting our cobblers here for the longest, especially for the holidays. My girl and co workers always ask me to stop by and grab a couple mini pies for them if im heading to the LA area. Best thing is, if i cant make it to the store before closing i can get them at Albertsons, food 4 less, and Louisiana Chicken spots as i get my fix before i head back home to the O.C. At certain events you can catch the truck and they hook u up with ice cream too. EXTREMELY GOOD PIES!! Thanks Kobbler King!
