"Just a decade ago, it was a novel idea to get onto Twitter to track down a food truck and wait hours in line for a kimchi quesadilla. There was a frenetic energy in LA’s culinary scene when Kogi BBQ’s Roy Choi rolled onto the streets and influenced a gourmet food truck phenomenon." - Jean Trinh

I have had the fortunate opportunity to enjoy Kogi BBQ several time in the LAX Terminal 4. Totally recommend this trailer to anyone. You do need a little time because usually there is a line and sometimes the food takes a while to come out. But if you have time between flights or just arriving/departing from LA take a moment to try some unique food combinations!

The food at Kogi BBQ at LAX (terminal 4) will make you wish you had a longer stopover. So much flavour is packed into the calamari tacos. The breakfast quesadilla with kimchi is also amazing. It's a great way to get a taste of the LA food truck scene without leaving the airport.

I ate at the mobile Kogi truck in El Segundo. It's OK. I was expecting a lot more for the way people were raving about it. To be honest, I probably won't go back unless the truck just fortuitously happens to be close by. The meat just seemed a little clammy and mushy to me. I don't think it added anything to the tacos and burrito I ate. I'd rather just get regular Mexican food.

The chicken tacos are the best I've ever had. Didn't care too much for the sliders and burrito because they put shredded cheese on them (would've been great without it) but that's OK because the tacos more than made up for that! If I make it back to LA I'll definitely be hitting this place up!!
