My friend and I enjoyed the best plant-based ice cream. It’s such a cool spot too-loved it!

Amazing gluten & dairy free ice cream! All options but one (on this day at least) were gluten free, and all are dairy free so its perfect if you have dietary restrictions. The worker was so nice too! The chocolate was my favorite!

Yummy vegan ice cream! My kids didn’t miss the dairy and I was glad to have a spot that took care of allergies and restrictions. Cute area to sit inside and outside.

My wife loves Icecream, but is lactose intolerant- so finding good icecream can be hard. We found it! KoKos icecream packs all the flavor! We both got the strawberry scoop and the cookies and cream scoop and hope to return. The girl serving us was super friendly and made the experience even better for us!

Banana monkey was delicious! Creamy and sweet banana flavor, but not over powerful. Had an awesome time and they’re conveniently in the same area as the volleyball club I’m guessing which you can watch while you enjoy your ice cream!

I just recently went dairy and gluten free and was missing ice cream.. Koko’s really hit the spot! Super delicious, better than regular ice cream and they even had a gluten free cone that tastes good.

So good I had a hard time choosing what flavore I wanted. It's so nice to have a good selection of vegan ice cream flavors. I went with my favorite mint chocolate chip but tested the Carmel/coffee or something like that which was very good and made the choice a hard one ;) My husband and I Sat outside and watched the volleyball players while we enjoyed our treat. He had the cookies and cream and said that he wouldn't have even guessed it was dairy free.

Only 1 star off because I thought everything was diary AND gluten free. I had the cookies and cream and it had no “gluten” warning beside it. I ate it and now having a reaction 🥲 putting a gluten warning would be great for us gluten-free folks. Other than that the ice cream was so so good!

By far, the best plant-based ice cream I've ever had! From the moment you walk inside, you're met with the cutest decor and a warm, happy vibe. The owner, Sam, is very welcoming and it's very clear how passionate he is in creating something amazing. Once we got chatting, he shared with us his story and vision - and we also learned Kokos is coconut in Dutch!! The best ice cream places satisfy the sweet tooth, but this one also left us feeling like we had visited an old friend. This is my new go-to for ice cream in the Nashville area. It's seriously amazing, creamy, and delicious!! 11/10 recommend!

absolutely blown away by how delicious this ice cream was. you could not even tell it was vegan, the coconut base was perfectly creamy and the flavors were all delicious. The Cookies & Cream was to die for and the Chocolate and Mint Chip were perfect. The store itself is so freaking cute and staff was so sweet and helpful. Such a vibe!! Will have to come back when it's warmer out to enjoy the outdoor seating!

When we visited last summer for the 1st time we were skeptical at 1st, but this has become one our favorite ice cream places! Vegan or not, you'll enjoy this place. Difficult to describe the difference in vegan ice cream, but I feel as if it's a "silkier" texture vs traditional ice cream. This time around we got the peach, mint chip, & caramel latte trio for $8. They have seasonal flavors they rotate through. All were great but peach was my favorite. It's located next to several restaurants & hotels & has a fun environment with volleyball courts & a "sand bar" with lots of outdoor bar & picnic table seating. The shop itself is small with minimal indoor seating & only 1 employee working at a time. Always super friendly but line can get pretty long during the warmer months. Parking is difficult. We usually look for street parking but there is a parking garage that's free if you can find a spot. Overall, nice change up from the typical Jeni's ice cream. Great spot to grab a treat & watch some volleyball when the weather's nice!

KOKOS ice cream is sooooooo good! As someone with a gluten and milk sensitivity I'm obsessed! They even have gluten free cones! I hadn't had an ice cream cone in forever so I was so happy to have found this place! My favorite flavor is the lavender rose! My only wish is that they would stay open later!

This little ice cream shop is tucked away in a wonderful outdoor area. There is even an area to play beach volleyball ball. After getting my ice cream, I basked in the sun while watching the people play volleyball. Purchasing the ice cream was fairly simple. You pick out your flavors and have them placed on a cone or in a cup, then you pay. The flavors available are listed on the counter as they change frequently. I liked practically everything about this ice cream. The flavors and textures were on point. You wouldn't know the ice cream was vegan if you were not paying attention. The coconut milk flavor was very subtle with cookies and cream, but was impossible to detect with chocolate. The ice cream was wonderful both times I visited and I don't mind the price. I highly recommend this place to all my vegan friends. This is the best vegan ice cream that I have had so far.

I don't usually go in for vegan ice creams, even though I'm a vegan, because I have had digestive difficulties with many I've bought in stores. But a friend convinced me to go here, and oh my - I'm so happy I did! The serving sizes are perfect if you just want a little bit of sweet (see picture), and every flavor I tried - and I tried most of them - were better than any "real" ice cream I've ever had! The girl serving us was super nice, and because the place is so small, you can get to know the other customers there pretty quickly (or not, but we were feeling social). All around an excellent experience!

What a cute place! Not only cute but the ice "cream" is delicious. It's hard to believe it's plant based. The flavor is spot on just like dairy based ice cream. In fact it's even better, plus better 4 ya! Legit good! The neighborhood is interesting set of high rise apartments up and coming. Next door is a beech volley ball court. Really a fun area and vibe check it out !! Also the staff was super amazing and helpful explaining all the flavor and benefits ! I felt really welcomed. Can't wait to go again !

Cute vegan/plant based ice cream shop on a cool container store plaza. The flavors rotate with some staples. I had the strawberry matcha (returned and ordered the same flavor with chocolate), which is very flavorful and creamy! I opted for the cone and you can also get your cream on a bowl. It's a cute spot to stay at eat as well, because the inside is super themed and a vibe. I'm looking forward to trying other flavors.

Koko's Vegan Ice Cream is certainly a unique experience. I was interested in trying the different vegan options and was thoroughly surprised. It is located on a dock style pavilion and surrounded by other business and sand volleyball courts. The inside venue is so cute and PINK and has a few tables and chairs for dining inside. The staff member was able to help me decide between a few flavors I couldn't narrow down. All of their ice cream is made from all natural ingredients and you can definitely taste the difference. The consistency is a lot thicker and creamier than traditional ice cream and I don't have an upset tummy from eating too much. I recommend giving Koko's a try

THE ABSOLUTE BEST! This ice cream is not only exceptional to be plant based, it is exceptional Period. The owner Sam is so warm and welcoming. He also offers up great conversation. Koko's offers house made CREAMY coconut ice cream and vegan oatmilk soft serve. WHAT A DREAM! The decor is also fabulous and gives you all the positive vibes needed for JOY in your day. Don't walk to this gem, RUN! We will be back!

This is the best ice cream in the state of Tennessee, maybe the whole United States, maybe even the world. Lol. We had a lovely conversation with one of the owners, and it was such a wonderful vibe. 100/10 recommend and will be back.

Indubitably, this vegan, plant-based ice cream establishment has earned its spot as one of the absolute best I've ever encountered! As I ventured from Georgia to Nashville, I am truly delighted that this gem was included on my list of must-visit places. Without a doubt, I highly recommend it to all ice cream enthusiasts seeking a remarkable and guilt-free indulgence.

While it has become popular for high-end ice cream places to offer non-dairy options, sometimes very good ones made with almond, coconut, oat, and other bases, it is still quite a reach for a dessert shop to offer only the non-dairy desserts. They were open even during the (mild) winter, though they were not allowing anyone to walk in to the shop it was warm enough to eat on the adjoining deck. Their flavor choices numbered in the single digits, but I was pleased to find exactly what I wanted: mint chip and a chocolate fruit combo flavor. I believe their base is coconut, and I've had some coconut-based desserts that I didn't really like because they were too dry or the coconut overwhelmed the other flavors. This, however, was pretty convincing cream, both in taste and texture. The portion size was quite small, even compared with what you'd get at a premium dessert place. From my perspective, this was a blessing in disguise as I'm going to end up badly overeating in the robust local food scene. If you're someone who wants a quality non-dairy cream and is willing to pay a premium, I think you'll be quite satisfied.

The BEST plant based ice cream anywhere!!! We are so blessed to have them here in Nashville. Do NOT hesitate to try them! The ice cream is made fresh and with coconut milk, but unlike others, you cannot taste it at all. This is the freshest and most vibrant tasting plant-based ice cream ever.

I must give Koko's 5 stars I have never had plant based icecream before and now I can't wait to have it again As delicious or maybe better than the highest quality ice cream! I've eaten ice cream for almost 4 decades, and have been searching for great vegan ice cream for the last 5-10 years, and the wait is over...Kokos has delivered the greatest ice cream experience period.

Such a lovely spot!!! Super friendly staff, outstanding service and spotless clean. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and were offered a quick rundown. We ended up getting the chocolate, vanilla strawberry, and the peach. Very delicious! Chocolate was rich and creamy. Peach was my favorite, and it's refreshing. Vanilla strawberry was well balanced with a tiny hint of sour. Great place for homemade ice cream. Highly recommend.

I've never had vegan ice cream. So nothing to compare to. But I didn't think it would taste this good. Creamy as ice cream and all the flavors were there. I loved how simple it was. I went there twice during my trip in Nashville because I had to have it again before I left. Contemplated on bringing some home but knew it wouldn't last, sadly.

Perfect post-dinner ice cream spot. Had Avo prior and walked over for plant based ice cream. The location is super cute, but very small, so don't be surprised if you have to wait outside or there's not a natural flow of people. Tried a few flavors and everything was so delicious. Pricing is similar to other high end ice cream shops in the area. Will definitely go back!

I've been to KoKos several times this Dummer and Autumn. I've tried multiple flavors and they are all delicious! That Apple Pie though! Sheesh! The Apple Pie is my all time favorite! I know it's seasonal, but I hope it becomes a year-round flavor. Ugh, I really love those pieces of crust; great texture!

This place is entirely too cool for me to be at and it is surrounded by equally as cool people and establishments. But she's a chunky girl with a dream of plant based ice cream so I put on my hipster mom jeans and got some ice cream! It's really good! You won't be disappointed. You'll be like "yum, glad I had that ice cream it was good!" You'll also maybe wonder if you should take up beach volleyball with your friends since it's located next to some volleyball courts? fields?sand pits? Anyway - you'll remember the time you didn't make the high school volleyball team and will decide against this new hobby and will decide to bring your friends to eat this ice cream instead. 10 out of 10

Seriously, the best tasting ice cream I've ever had. Almost every single flavor I try is wildly impressive (and I've tried a lot of them throughout the seasons). 100% can not tell it's dairy free. Employees are always cute and friendly.

I LOVE ice cream so it's been super hard finding a plant based ice cream. This place has the BEST ICE CREAM I've had!!! That includes all kinds of dairy ice cream. The hour drive was totally worth it!! The employee was friendly and the area is really relaxing.

Kokos opened this space April 2019, in the cool shipping container park, OneC1ty. Sand volley ball, a bar, a spin gym and a couple other spots take up residency here too. A lady with dangling sparkly earrings in full length yoga pants was playing volleyball in the sand with a crowd of 10 others. I don't feel like I'm cool enough, yet here I am anyway with my lady and my 2 year old eating dairy free, coconut milk based ice cream. Matcha, mint, coconut and strawberry were on the board today, and were all creamy and super tasty, some of the best nondairy ice cream I've had. We ate our ice cream while watching 20 and 30 somethings spike, post and lob balls over the net, listening to EDM blare from the spin studio and taking in the sights and activities of the conglomerate of businesses that make up OneC1ty. $3 a scoop will set you back a bit more than your average ice cream bar, but considering they're about the only non dairy spot in town, it's worth the drive, the ambiance and the ice cream. :-)

Absolutely love this vegan ice cream spot in Nash! One of the places I miss most since we moved away. It's the cutest spot near some great restaurants (including Avo which I also recommend), and I loved that during covid you could order & pick up these cubes on ice cream. Made me happy!

I've shamelessly been here several times and I haven't had a chance to properly give it a review. I was craving it today and thought this would be the perfect opportunity to get some. This is like completely different than I've ever experienced. This tastes like the real deal ice cream even though it's completely dairy free. Usually, dairy free/vegan ice cream has that weird obvious non-dairy taste, but if you were to give me this and pair it with some real ice cream, I wouldn't be able to tell the difference. Congrats, Koko's, you've won my heart.

This cute little shop is tucked next to the volleyball court near Avo restaurant. I love being able to eat everything in the menu! They have a few small tables inside and plenty of places outside to enjoy your treat and watch the volleyball games. All ice cream is plant based and they usually have 6-8 flavors to choose from served in either a cup or cone. A small cup contains two scoops so I tried Lavender Dream and a rich chocolate (maybe Bavarian?). Whatever it was called- just call it delicious! Very friendly and informative staff will help you make the right selection. A sweet treat worth seeking out for great vegan ice cream.

Very good ice cream! Plant based? I guess... still tasted like ice cream to me! Stopped by to get some today... prices were reasonable for a mid-large city in an inflationary environment. I'm not sure what her name was, but the young lady working there was refreshingly friendly and well-deserving of a big tip. This is basically a little trailer, but it's trendy vibe-time inside. Only qualms: I could do with one or two more flavors -- something peanut buttery or cinnamony would be right nice! The other qualm has to do with hours they're open. Perhaps it's due to staffing shortages, but I think this place is leaving money on the table by not opening until 3pm.

I've been vegan more than 4 years. This is the best vegan ice cream I've ever had. I had Belgium chocolate and strawberry matcha. Delicious. My kids had the cookies and cream. No pictures because we ate it fast.

OMG I have had a lot of plant based ice cream but this has to be one of my FAVs! Sooo creamy, yet lite and refreshing and not overly sweet! It was just perfect!

Plant based ice cream!? I think yes! This place is the best best if you want great and fresh ice cream. They change their flavors bi-weekly. Great ambiance, but limited seating space inside. There are tons of seating outside near the sand bar/avo restaurant.

If I could rate kokos at 10 stars I would. I cannot eat dairy ice cream anymore and dear lord I miss it. I have eaten all the other dairy free ice creams the world has to offer and KOKOS IS THE BEST! If I didn't know it was plant based from all the adorable signage I never would have guessed. You must try kokos if you haven't already. Any flavor. They are all good. You can grab a cone and then meet up with some friends at sand bar and drink the night away pretending you're on the beach Onecity has free parking on the street, in a lot behind avo and under 8 city blvd in a parking garage.

Love the location - it's a really cute shop with patio tables available. As of today, inside seating is not available. The winter seasonal flavors are good, but I really enjoyed the summer flavors more. The ice cream is really creamy and delicious. Pints are available!

The Ice Cream is great but the service is lacking. We stopped by here for dessert after eating dinner at one of the other shops to enjoy some scoops. I think between the 4 adults and two children, we ordered one of each flavor so we all got to try them. All were pretty good. I wish I would have ordered the sugar cone rather than the cake cone but there's always next time. The seasonal flavors were probably my favorite so I'd suggest that!

We're not necessarily plant based people so we weren't sure how it would taste. Bottom line...we loved it! The Mint Chocolate Chip might be the best in Nashville.

The location is great! They are in a small building right across from Avo...there is outdoor seating and beach volleyball courts to keep everyone entertained. The ice cream itself is good! There aren't many flavor options - I got a scoop of watermelon taffy and orange creamsicle. It has a lighter feel similar to Halo Top ice cream but I loved it. My biggest complain is the price...$6 for a small bowl.

Sooooooooo delicious!!! Best ice cream I have ever had and the best vegan ice cream I have ever had. My favorite was the mint chip. It was perfection! Really creamy! The cones are vegan too which never happens. I am so sad we don't have a kokos in Charlotte.
