The Ride-Along Report: First Takes From Last Night’s Dinner - London - The Infatuation

"What It Is: A casual Bengali restaurant in Covent Garden. Perfect For: Lunch, Casual Weeknight Dinner, Catching Up With Mates We stopped in for lunch and were generally impressed with the variety of food on offer. It’s made up of small and large sharing plates which are all fairly reasonably priced. The doi papri chat was the standout dish for us, and while the rest of our order was nice enough, nothing else made much of an impact. Verdict: A nice spot for a casual, no fuss lunch or dinner, especially if you’re rolling with a crew of four to six people." - sam collins, oliver feldman, heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, eileen twum

London’s Best Indian Restaurants for Eastern Indian Cuisine | Eater London

"This Camden Market stall selling kathi rolls could easily win ‘shortest menu in London’ award: it sells just kathi rolls stuffed with either chicken or paneer, with or without fries. The rolls are made from rich, thick, flaky paratha, smeared with optional cooked egg on one side; and the fillings are generous, mildly spiced, and a little sweet, offset by the mild acidity of lightly pickled onions and the verdant freshness of coriander leaves. Grab a nearby bench and enjoy them with perhaps a few burger-eating strangers in a ‘my sandwich is better than your sandwich’ kinda way." - Sejal Sukhadwala

The food itself was tasty and delicious, however the portion size - particularly compared with the cost and size of what was around - was poor, and really felt light in the hand (particularly for £10.50). A roll of this sized priced at £7-8 would have felt in line with other options. Also, the same space was used for cooking the chicken and paneer options, albeit doused with water between cooks.
