Kome Sushi

I have been wanting to try this spot being so close to my house. Tonight I finally did with my daughter and it did not disappoint. It seems they do more take out orders versus dining in, so the restaurant was quiet. Service is quick and the sushi was very good. Prices are also very fair compared to other sushi spots. We did crab rangoon appetizer, 4 sashimi and 3 rolls. All was impressive. If you haven't been don't sleep on this spot

The sushi was excellent—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. We had the Parkville Dragon, the Spider Roll (which was uniquely amazing with cream cheese!), and the classic Dragon Roll. Every bite was delicious. The service was great. We will definitely be going back!

This is my daughter and I’s go to when we crave sushi! She refuses to try anywhere else & honestly I don’t blame her one bit! From the service, to the atmosphere ( very friendly service there every time we go! ) & the FOOD IS DELICIOUS! We ordered Miso Soup SO GOOD & it’s her FAVORITE! Crab Rangoon, Fried rice, & the Boston Bay roll for photo reference 😊

My wife and I visited for dinner. The crab Rangoon came out creamy on the inside which is very rare from what I've seen. The sushi was delicious. My wife particular liked the one with the chili powder on top. We also got teriyaki chicken which was very good. We will be back the next time we are in the area.

Came here today because we have been wanting to try this spot for a while. After trying endless sushi spots in the Missouri/Kansas area, I think we will be making this our "go-to" spot. The food was amazing and customer service was decent. The wasabi here is slightly different than most places and was delicious 💜 you get little candies too when you leave. Loved it here

Best sushi ever at a decent price, I’ve tried many sushi restaurants in my time and Kome always stands out. The only sushi place I will always head back too, me and my husband have been here over a dozen times. Quality service and delicious flavorful food.

We love this place. Staff is very friendly, the fish is chilled and processed just right. The chef is very creative. We told him what we liked and he made custom plates for us. We will come here again And they have Gluten Free options

5/5 on food and service. What a hidden gem. It's Easter so there's not many people out around noon. We weren't wanting to drive into downtown today so we tried something a little more local. This place is very affordable & very delicious sushi. We also had pan-fried gyoza + edamame. Both cooked perfectly. Portions were just right. Would definitely return.

We've driven past this place a million times, finally decided to stop. Small restaurant along a popular strip mall. Inside is clean and kept open. Greeted immediately upon arrival and told to pick a seat. The waitress was running the floor by herself, but seemed to be handling with grace. We took advantage of the awesome priced lunch menu. A spicy crab salad and a few rolls was the perfect amount for the two of us. The Spicy Crab salad is one of my favorites that I have tried all around in my travels. This one was fresh, with a good amount of meat, but was very bland in flavor. I always figure in the Midwest, you cater to the clientele. Not a big deal overall. The two rolls were a great size and very fresh tasting. Our drinks were kept topped off. The waitress was very friendly. The food was pretty decent. We will definitely try this place again, especially because it's right down the road from us here in Parkville.

Location: Parkville Ambiance: not fancy but family oriented place. Food: fish is fresh. Excellent sushi rolls. Price is unbeatable. Maki trio enough for 2-3 people. Service: efficient. Very good. Yelp factor: easily one of the best sushi places on this side of the river (northland)

There were mistakes with the meal or it may have just been a bad day for the establishment. 1 Star: Terrible experience. Avoid at all cost. Summary: A solid, casual spot for indulging your craving for sushi (specifically rolls). If I'm in the area, I can see myself returning for the lunch special and rolls, but will pass on nigiri. It isn't anything fancy nor is it trying to be. The "unassuming" description is spot on. For more details, please see below! I ordered the lunch special with an assortment of nigiri + one roll (salmon avocado roll). As a side, I got the miso soup. Miso soup: a solid, standard miso soup. Has all the toppings one would want: tofu, seaweed, and green onion. Sushi: For $15, it was a good lunch special! However, my advice is to stick with the rolls. You'll have a much better experience and bang for your buck ordering a variety of rolls vs. the nigiri. The nigiri did not stand out and frankly below average. As a heads up, wasabi is only provided on the side and not included inside the nigiri. Service: The waitress was welcoming and helpful. My only input, it would have been nice to get a rundown of the fishes served as nigiri. As a side note, I thought it was cute how they had "Kome Sushi" engraved on the chopsticks!

Came here on a slowish Sunday afternoon. Easy to order and and our food came out in a timely manner. nice Japanese decor for being in a strip mall of sorts. I ordered the bento box and fell in love with it. for about $16 you get a lot of delicious food. my daughter ordered a couple of speciality rolls and those were delicious as well. we certainly be back to support this local business.

Kome Sushi is a hidden gem! I have driven past it many times without noticing the unsuspecting location. I'm so glad I did. I visited on a Friday night and service was friendly and very efficient. We started with a crab rangoon and sashimi appetizer, and then I ordered a salmon roll and a rainbow roll. All the food was delicious, tasted fresh, and was prepared quickly. The restaurant itself was quiet and perfect for visiting with a friend. I also felt the meal was very reasonably priced for quality sushi. I'll definitely be back.

Have been coming to neighboring restaurants to this for years and somehow just never noticed it being here. The outside of it doesn't do it justice. It looks old and closed. Going in it's clean and newish looking. We were craving sushi and wanted to try a new place so we got on here for recommendations and mapped it. We were shocked that we didn't know about this great place other than maybe we are idiots. Haha. Anyway, the people who run this were so friendly and accommodating the edimame was fresh and tasty. Crab Rangoon was probably the best I'd had in a long time and we eat Asian very often, it tasted so freshly made and great flavor. We had 3 types of rolls and some sushimi (Tuna and Salmon). We loved everything so much and ate it so fast I didn't get pictures of all 3 or the names again of each. But we loved everything and will definitely be back and probably more than the neighboring places we frequent. So happy we found it!

One of many places i have heard that serves good sushi from family and friends who have eaten here before. My first time visiting this establishment I can say I loved their sushi rolls. The experience of well-made sushi being prepared in front you is exceptional! The decor and atmosphere is pleasantly soothing.

Decent quality food for the price overall. The crab salad was heavy with Panko/tempura bits, not spicy and had no fish roe as advertised though. The sashimi tasted fresh but was a small portion for the price tag. The crab rangoons and white rice were similar to most standard take out. Their take on onion soup is delicious with extra veg. like zucchini added in.

I can't recommend this place more than enough! It's my all time favorite Asian restaurant in general, but especially for sushi! Service is always amazing, and both when I'm being served or taking a take out order because people is scary I always get told I'm tipping too much but they absolutely deserve it! The people there are the sweetest! Especially Ms. Lee I believe her name is. I've had her as my server multiple times, she has black hair around her mid thirties early forties and gives spectacular customer service! Both when handing tables and take out orders. And today I had a takeout order per usual when it's just me, and I was greeted by a gentleman. He was super sweet as well, didn't catch his name. But overall, everything is always amazing and I've NEVER been disappointed when going! Also, food is very affordable compared to most places!

The food and service are great. Out of over 15 sushi restuants i have had in kc, best sticky rice, best peppered tuna, my favorite sushi place in kc based off the food, service is always good, ambiance is getting old and worn down. Oh favorite jap poppers in kc as well.

Kome sushi has always ultra fresh and very tasty sushi. My partner and I get take-out from them every Friday night and always comment on the freshness. The owner is hard-working, nice, and cares about getting things right. Our orders are always exactly what we ordered, including special requests. This is the best sushi in The Northland if not all of KC.

Ordered delivery twice from this spot and both times I got the Kome special. The fish is fairly good quality, nothing too spectacular but not bad at all. They have such a good price for the combo considering you get 9 pieces of sashimi, 6 pieces of sushi, and a spider roll (which is huge) as well as a side of soup or salad, all for $30. It was good enough for me to order again from them and with the limited options in NKC, this is probably one of the better sushi spots.

Very good! Got the cooked sushi and was amazed by it! The teriyaki chicken was just some plane chicken woth teriyaki sauce drizzled over the top. Very clean and nice. Friendly service and smiles from everyone! Would definitely recommend!

I had the Lobster sushi roll and it was delicious!! I also had the chicken teriyaki with fried rice which was also delicious,it came with lots of veggies that I would have liked to have been cooked a little more but it was a great meal with lots of leftovers. My husband and daughter got sushi and crab Rangoon and were very happy with their selections!! Will definitely go back!!

Kome Sushi is the hidden gem of Parkville, MO. Located on Tom Watson Parkway, Kome is a small sushi business that offers a delicious variety of Japanese cuisine. I tried the tuna flight and salmon roll. Both were delicious and packed full of flavor. The staff is friendly and quick. Though I did takeout, I know they have a cute interior space with a sushi bar. Overall, this is a must try restaurant in Parkville and perfect for all sushi lovers!

I had never heard of this place, but I'm definitely glad I found it! Just in a little strip center, not looking like much, but packing a lot of flavor. The service was quick and efficient which is a plus! You can tell it's personally owned!! We ordered 4 different rolls and all were very delicious. One of them had a thin slice of lemon on the top, I was skeptical at first, but it actually tasted really great! I would recommend this place for any sushi lover looking for something off the beaten path!

I had the white tuna, jalapeño and cilantro roll. I added spicy Mayo because I like spicy. It was the perfect amount of heat and the cilantro was so fresh. The service was friendly and quick. I only said 4 because I want to go back before I give it 5. And I will go back soon.

Had this for my birthday! And the family and I were not disappointed! From sushi to Lo Mein and full meals this was incredible! Service is fast! The restaurant is very nice!

Not my usual 'go-to' spot, but my usual is now closed on my precious 'Sushi Tuesday' with my daughters, so came here instead and very, very pleased. Their Sunny Roll is one of the best things I've ever tasted and completely unique to me. Tempura salmon and avocado inside with fresh salmon on top and spicy Mayo and eel sauce drizzle. But what makes it 'sunny' is the thinly sliced lemon over the fresh salmon. So so good. Their rolls are creative. Their offerings fresh and timely. Small space. Crowded lot because of a couple other local favorites in the same strip.

Don't let its off-the-beaten path location fool you - This is some of the best sushi I have had in Kansas City or anywhere! Unique flavors and delicate rolls make this place one of a kind. The value is incredible compared to other more popular sushi joints that offer about 2/3 of the quality of Kome. They frequently offer menu specials like half-off rolls on certain nights of the week. Favorite rolls include the Boston Bay Roll, Sunny Roll, Mother & Child Roll, Sweetheart Roll and their great rendition of classics like Philly rolls. We usually get 4-5 rolls for just about $50 or less and leave with leftovers to enjoy....Typically later that night because they are so good! It's always a peaceful and pleasant atmosphere with the same staff working almost every time we visit giving the restaurant a familiar feel that is quite appreciated. Since the pandemic we have driven all the way from Waldo to continue supporting this business in the form of takeout though they may have resumed dine-in now. They also took advantage of the closure and renovated their facility. I 100% recommend Kome Sushi.

It's good sushi but the lighting could definitely be more thought out. It's either way to bright at one table or way to dark at another.

The food was very tasty. The service was awesome I enjoy quiet dining this place was good.

The sushi was dry and nigiri pieces were small. The server left us for about ten minutes waiting for the bill while he surfed on his phone in the adjacent cat the peak of Friday dinner service. We even had to get up to get a to-go box. Also, as a general comment, why do Japanese and other Asian restaurants in the midwest region insist on adding cream cheese to everything? Just an awful combination. We'll be going back to Saeke which is in a different league.

Great tasting sushi at a great price. Never been disappointed and have been going for many years. If you are thrifty you can't go wrong with the lunch combo. Make sure you pick the salad as your side as it is the best I've ever had!

Great food, fast service! Went with visiting business associate, so ordered a variety. KC roll (has no rice), peanut avocado roll (vegan daughter favorite), holy moley roll, sweetheart roll and steak roll. Stuffed ourselves full! I usually get takeout via restaurant website (cheaper than delivery services even if picking up). But dining in was a nice experience, great waitstaff. Continues to impress, and we will continue to come back!

Awful. Just awful! I ordered delivery for ramen. According to their website their ramen is: "Roasted pork, noodle, spinach, mushroom, napa, egg, sesame in pork broth, serve w. salad" I got a bowl of noodles in broth--- with zucchini, broccoli, and carrots?!?!?! And the meat is definitely not pork; it is like sweetened brisket. And I never got a side salad. I was already dubious when they didn't offer a spice level. Zero spice--- how can you have ramen with zero spice? I guess it makes sense, since I got a brisket vegetable noodle soup bowl. This is the first and last time I will try this place.

I Drive from Liberty just to get Sushi from here. They never disappoint, its fresh and good quality. In my opinion this is probably one of the best Sushi places in KC. The Hitachi grill dishes are also very tasty.

I love this place! I ordered Uber eats ( again) from Kome ( again) and instead of sushi I got shrimp udon with vegetables. Ummm, those juicy fat noodles were sauced to perfection and the shrimp were plump and the vegetables aplenty! Go there!

A very quiet and clean restaurant with great food and friendly staff. Avoid the loud and crowded sushi/hibachi restaurant and try this place. I love the fried sushi rolls and my daughter is a fan of the bento boxes.

Fantastic menu selection. Food is beautifully presented. The quality and freshness of the food is amazing. The staff is very helpful and easily answer all questions. Service is also quick. Although, the exterior feels strip mall, the interior ambiance makes up the difference. I highly recommend!

The sushi here is some of the best in town. My family also enjoys edamame, pot stickers and chicken teriyaki, which is made with quality meat and a tasty sauce. Friendly servers, unpretentious atmosphere. Relaxed and enjoyable.

Wow!! What a hidden gem! This little sushi bar is a little off the beaten path, but worth the drive. We are so glad we gave this place a try! I think it's safe to say that we will be back again! We have had both to go and dine in food, and both were great!! Everything is super tasty and fresh! Never a fishy taste to their sushi. Our server was very friendly and helpful during our dine in experience. I did have a mixed drink and it was pretty sub par. With that being said, the sushi definitely made up for the drink! The service was fast and the price was affordable.

Rolls are amazing and the kome special salad is my new favorite! Toro tuna was melt in your mouth delicious! I am hooked!

Very small and unassuming place, but oh man you'll be happy you stopped and tried it. Everything is made to perfection and fresh. Very kind service. The only thing that could make it better was some light music to help up the ambience! Will be back again and again.

Hole in the wall place, definitely looks iffy when your approaching but the sushi was very good and staff was friendly !

This place was an absolute gem to find. We ordered the Gyoza pan fried and it was delicious. The picture from left to right is Salmon Nigiri, NY Steak Roll, Godzilla Roll and mother and child roll. We will definitely be back ! It was amazing!

Well keep secret in Parkville! Maybe because of the Icon Mexican restaurant next door... I don't know why, but the secret is still not out about this little sushi gem. Granted the inside is not fancy and you may need to bring your own ambiance (it's pretty quiet and you can hear your neighbors). Otherwise you can't beat the quality of this sushi not to mention the price right!!

I love this place! I love that it's less than 5 minutes from my house too. Good grade sushi. Spicy girl is probably my favorite so far. They have good sized rolls at great prices. They are always super nice. I usually go for sushi but we tried the chicken udon mostly for my grandson but I think I ate most of it lol. Yum!
