Move over Nobu, The Four Seasons has opened what I believe to be the best Japanese restaurant in Wailea with THE BEST restaurant manager named Louis. Also, the best staff ALL AROUND. Last week, we vacationed at The Four Seasons (White Lotus) in Maui. Prior to arriving, I had made reservations to Nobu at the Grand Wailea not knowing that The Four Seasons had recently opened Komo. I was a little suspicious about Nobu, so the day before, we walked over to check out the restaurant. After looking at Nobu, I immediately cancelled the reservation and made it for Komo instead. I was absolutely correct in my decision. I felt like I was transported to Japan. The restaurant is brand new and it’s decorated so beautifully. Let me start off with the service, the manager actually walked us over to the veranda to take a picture of our family at sunset. That was so kind of him. Then when we came back, the waitress was so kind to us. I think her name is Briana. But if I’m wrong, I’m so sorry but she was so wonderful. Right from the start I knew the night was going to go well. They started us off with a wonderful honey tea. Then as we looked at the menu, I also knew this was a very authentic and upscale restaurant with an amazing chef. Of course, if you’re going to have sushi, you’re going to have to order the fresh wasabi. In my experience, most restaurants don’t even offer it unless it’s a very upscale sushi restaurant. Then as you peruse the menu, you can see that the selections are amazing. I can go on and on, but I think my photos that I’ve attached speaks for itself. If you can get a reservation here at Komo, you will not be disappointed. I can’t wait to go back to the Four Seasons Maui just to go to Komo. I think they’re going to do very well if the quality and service stays this high. A++++++
