"Traditional jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle soup) takes on a Texan twist at this spot. Giant beef ribs are served with mussels and prawns atop a hot, fiery red, spicy soup and wheat noodles. A lobster jjamppong is also available if beef ribs don’t suit you. Try its locations in Plano or Frisco." - Didi Paterno

"Two kinds of traditional cold Korean noodles are on the Kooksoo menu. Instead of the wider guksu noodles used with the hot soups, a thinner variety is used for these cold dishes. The spicy bibim kooksoo is dressed in a sweet and spicy, sour chili sauce, while the kong kooksoo is in an iced soybean milk soup." - Didi Paterno

The stir fried noodles with beef was incredibly delicious. I very much enjoyed my meal. The amount of spiciness was just right. You order through a tablet which was very convenient. The worker was very knowledgeable and talked us through the menu. My accomplice who does not really like kimchi thought it was good as did I. We came in very close to their lunch time, but we were still accommodated. I will be back

We were looking forward to some good Korean food as I was craving noodles. The pictures of this restaurant looked really appealing on Google. Inside, it was tiny but had cute decor. As soon as we sat down, the waiter told us to use the self-ordering system on the table, which I thought was pretty cool. However, the tablet was really slow. My husband ordered the galbi, which came on top of clear glass noodles. It was a huge portion and came out quickly, but it was tasteless and chewy. They only offered one side of kimchi banchan, which was disappointing because every other Korean restaurant I've been to offers at least four banchan. I ordered the spicy cold noodle soup, but it never arrived. After waiting for almost 30 minutes, I decided to cancel the order. This restaurant looked promising, but I'm giving it 1 star right now because the galbi was chewy and flavorless, and they only provided one side of banchan. I plan to return to try their noodle dishes and will update my review then.

Google
Excellent food and service! Ordered an extra large King Ribs Jjamppong combo with Bulgogi and rice to split between 2 of us. Just the Jjamppong would've been enough food for 2 people and we ended up taking the Bulgogi home for dinner. The soup is very tasty and comforting and all of the ingredients go well together. The Bulgogi is also marinated nicely and comes with a ton of garlic.

Google
Kooksoo is definitely our favorite restaurant in town. There's no disappointment in any dish. Stir fried beef with noodles is a must try. My personal favorite is soy soup noodles. Tastes better than the ones I had in Seoul I have to say!

Google
This is a pretty good place. It feels new, nice, and clean. It’s calm and quiet here. Service was good, unobtrusive, and fast. Menu is not huge (which I consider a plus) and very easy to navigate to find food you want to try. We ordered 2 different soups and dumplings appetizer. We also got a complimentary meal for the kid who was less than 7 years old - which was really nice. Food was ready fast and taste was good. It wasn’t anything amazing and not something I would call as a must visit again - that’s the only reason I give 4 instead of 5 stars. One other thing as a con is that our table for 4 was very small even for 2 adults and 2 kids. If everyone would have ordered a full sized meal, it would be pretty cramped. But I won’t call it such a big deal. All-in-all, place was good and I do recommend it. Maybe not the best Korean restaurant for those price point in DFW but still a good one.

Google
Not my favorite meal but it’s great value for a quick bite, plus that it’s at a good location. You can walk to the bookstore in the nearby Mitsuwa and have some Japanese donuts too. My only complaint is that the chopsticks are too heavy! :)

Google
I've been here four or five times now. The food and service are both excellent, every single time. The complimentary kimchi is delicious, and both the Beef Kooksoo and the King Rib Jjamppong live rent-free in my head. Definitely worth a visit if you're into delicious noodle soups!

Google
Food was solid. Beef kooksoo was very tasty. Cool atmosphere, service was great, but came at non busy time.

Yelp
I came here by chance since I was in the area and was left extremely satisfied. Everything is ordered via a tablet at the table with visuals so it makes things really easy. I ended up ordering the beef noodles and it was SUPER good. The ingredients are fresh and the noodles taste hand made. The staff were friendly letting us know how things work for a first timer. Really happy overall!

Yelp
This place is actually more like 4.5 stars. We ordered from here tonight and everything was fantastic. Here's everything we ordered: Beef Bulgolgi -5/5 Soooo yummy. Perfectly savory and not too sweet. Great garlic flavor. Galbi- 4/5 Great flavor, not too sweet but kinda chewy. Stir fried beef with noodles - 5/5 the meat was tender and with just the right amount of fattiness. The noodles were perfectly chewy and springy. First time I've ever had noodles like this and they were amazing. So much umami flavor perfectly balanced with the Parmesan. YUMMM. Kimchi - 5/5 so garlicky and delicious with tons of umami. Your breath will never recover, but it's worth it. Mini beef Kooksoo soup - 4/5 the meat was super thin and tender and the broth was really good, but the soup tasted kinda bland after eating all the flavorful meat above. Plus I was kind of full by the time I got to this. I think if I ate this as its own meal without any of the above, I would've enjoyed it much more. Will def order again! Highly recommend!!

Yelp
It's one of our favorite restaurants in DFW! The combo portion is large which can serve for 2 pp. We always order less spicy on beef bone noodle soup and the spiciness is just perfect for us, it won't be very spicy that cover the original taste of each ingredient in the bowl, they have zucchini, mussels, shrimps, bean sprouts inside the bowl, very nutritional and flavorful! The beef is always soft tender. It's also kids friendly and our kids enjoy their dumplings very much! The staff are always attentive and they work hard! We love it!

Yelp
I always order togo from Kooksoo and decided to dine-in, wow! First off, the portions are huuuge. The broth in the beef noodles was so flavorful and probably one of the best noodle dishes I've had in the Plano area. Will definitely be returning to try their other dishes :) We ordered everything from a tablet and the servers were quick and helpful to answer any questions about the menu.

Yelp
In Plano and Frisco, there is no shortage of delicious Korean eats. If you like a cozy, homey vibe, Kooksoo is your choice. We got there to avoid a long line of hungry souls since it's a small restaurant. We ordered a few popular items: stir-fried beef noodles, king ribs Jjam ppong, and also the Korean Galbi short ribs. The stir-fried beef noodles were delicious. The noodles tasted fresh and chewy, soaking up all the flavors of the sauce. The king ribs noodles were awesome! The meat on the ribs was so tender that It just fell off the bone. The spicy broth was lusciously savory! The shrimp and mussels added a unique freshness to the broth. We just loved it. Korean short ribs are always a hit. We enjoyed the ribs very much. They were beautifully grilled, garnished with a hint of green onion on top and a bed of glass noodles at the bottom. The sweet, savory, and smoky flavors of the meat made us hungry for more! The service was great with friendly and patient wait staff. Come on in and try it out. You won't get disappointed.

Yelp
Tried this place on recommendation from a friend. The food was good and I would come again for that. I think they can make a few changes to elevate the ambiance. I would hide the to-go containers behind the counter or a curtain and add some ambient music. Otherwise everything else was great. You order from an electronic pad on the table. Food comes quickly. Service wait staff brings drinks and is kind. The portion size is great as well. We shared the two dishes pictured between two adults. The kooksoo was fresh and good level of spice. The menu is concise and they serve what they specialize in, kooksoo. I don't believe they serve alcohol or dessert so that might also be a nice addition to make it a more comprehensive dinner spot.

Yelp
SOO GOOD ;) I regret not coming here earlier, but once I tried it, I had to come back again the week after. Kooksoo is my new go-to for enjoying a bowl of steaming noodles in winter. The beef stir fry noodles really showcased their strength: noodles with an addictively chewy and bouncy texture. It's as if boba were in noodle form. The sauce and cheese also combined to form a perfect complement to the juicy slices of beef. The chicken noodle soup featured the same noodles in a spicy, rich broth. The chicken was a bit stringy, so maybe I'll stick to the beef in the future. However, if you are really hungry, the soup is bigger than the stir fry dish, so it will definitely fill you up! I am so glad that I finally decided to try Kooksoo and will be sure to return!

Angela T.

Yelp
Authentic Korean food in a relaxed setting and a great Korean playlist to match. Their ordering method is via a tablet on the table, but the staff is happy to answer any questions or give recommendations as needed. The food came quickly, portions were huge and easily shareable, and fresh.

Codi B.

Yelp
Really enjoyed this spot. I've past it several times and just never went because I thought it was only noodles. By best friend was craving noodles so we went. Aesthetically a very nice place. Our waitress was very nice. They offer ordering from the table on a iPad of some sort. I'm not really into that because I don't like how technology is taking over and I dunno; kinda takes away from the dining experience. But at least our waitress was very attentive. My friend ordered the jam pong and I the kooksoo. We both got the combo meal with the side of galbi. Also the flat dumplings. The dumplings were good; kimchi was tasty and the galbi wasn't bad. The noodles obviously are the show stoppers. Hers was really tasty and mine was really delicious. Great flavor profile! Portions to price are normal. It's a lot of food! Everything was brought out quickly and beautifully. Definitely would come here again.

Yelp
What can I say, you can't go wrong with Kooksoo! I've been here a bunch of times and every time I get something different it doesn't disappoint. This is at the top of my list for Dallas recommendations whenever someone asks me what to eat. The beef kooksoo is my go to and it is so flavourful and yummy. Their bugolgi is literally the best I've ever had and the stir fry is amazing. They tend to be packed on weekends so you might have to wait. The restaurant is small and doesn't fit a lot of people but is decorated nice and modern and the plating is amazing.

Ryan G.

Yelp
Found this place solely because of Yelp, and came here solely because of the many positive reviews. If you are on the fence, and you like Korean food, let me just settle it for you. Go today. There can't be this many liars in the Yelp community- trust the process. We came here on a weekend afternoon and were greeted and seated immediately by the friendly staff. We ordered some dumplings (pro tip: you can get these for free by checking in on Yelp), and then for entrees we got bulgogi and (duh) beef kooksoo. Everything was fantastic. The dumplings were unique and I enjoyed the sauce that came with them. The bulgogi was pretty standard, but very well done. It's cooked with garlic which adds flavor. The kooksoo was our favorite. If you haven't had it, it's basically just noodles and meat in a bowl of broth (like pho, ramen, etc.) but the flavors were so good here. I'd go back and order this no question. Give it a try, you won't regret it. Don't want to? Go look at my photos and reconsider.

Michael Y.

Yelp
Great Asian fare restaurant. You order via iPads at the table. Menu items have combinations like noodles, rice, Korean bbq items cooked for you. I got the bulgogi bento box and it was pretty legit. The kimchi was fantastic. Lots of parking. Would go back again if I'm in Dallas.

Joanne T.

Yelp
This place has the best restaurant kimchi I've ever had, I come in just to buy it. My absolute favorite dish here is the stir fried beef noodles, there is nothing quite like the warm melty flavor of beef, zucchini, onions, and Parmesan paired with their bouncy noodles. All of their barbecued meats are also really good! Would definitely recommend coming here with friends and family, it is very clean and well lit inside and there is a good amount of seating.

Derek Y.

Yelp
** Large portions, authentic taste, and reasonable price points. Recommend trying the king rib jjamppong and galbi! Kookso has been one of my favorite Korean restaurants in the area and is regularly in my rotation in the Plano area. The meat on the ribs in the jjamppong is tender and pretty much falls right off the bone. The ribs are Texas sized so be prepared! I also love the noodle texture and flavor in the soup, as they are very chewy. The broth is rich and spicy but not overwhelming or too spicy. Added in are some seafood (shrimp and mussels) and some veggies like bean sprouts, green onions, and zucchini's. Lots of variety all in one dish. The galbi is also flavorful and though pricey, it comes with a lot so it's good to share. Make sure you take advantage of the free dumplings with the check in offer!

Linda J.

Yelp
OMG!! Beat soup ever! I lived in Korea for 3 yrs and I had every soup imaginable! This was so good! I dined both the Plano and Carrollton locations!! Great service! Great kimchi!! Great galbi! Great beef rib and seafood soup! I give it a 5 star recommendation!

Lucky S.

Yelp
This place has the best tasting noodles I've ever had, no exaggeration. Ever since the first time I had KOOKSOO, I was amazed by how the noodles tasted and have came back multiple times, both locations, for dine-in and takeout, and every-time is always an amazing experience. The noodles are so fresh and bouncy, and they go perfectly with every dish they have. Their menu is small, but each dish is perfectly executed every time. The decor and ambience stepping into the restaurant is so fitting and nice to look at, and everyone there is so friendly and attentive. Also, they provide you with bronze silverware, which was the cherry on top. My number one favorite is the Stir-Fried Beef with Noodles as the sauce and flavors go so well with the thick, springy noodles, also topped with cheese and delicious slices of beef. The Beef Kooksoo, is basically the soup version, is also very delicious and flavorful, but I think the sauce flavors combines with the noodles much better in the Stir-Fried Beef. Depending on the day, I choose between Soup or Stir-Fry, but you absolutely cannot go wrong with either. this place is a must have if you're in the area and deserves all the hype and more. One of my favorite places in the DFW area.

Johnny H.

Yelp
Kooksoo is my top restaurant for Korean noodles/soup. It's amazing on a cold/rainy day but it's honestly something I'm always craving. The broth of each dish is packed with tons of flavor and the noodles are just the right texture. My favorite dish I always get is the king ribs Jjamppong. The portion is huge, there's a variety of seafood like shrimp and muscles, and these gigantic beef ribs are just fall-off the bone tender. Honestly one of the best combinations of soup, meats, and veggies. Its spicer compared to their other soups, but it's not too overwhelming that it would subtract from the flavor. A fantastic, heartwarming dish that's so addicting that I'll always want to order when I visit. Other notable things I've tried are the beef kooksoo, bulgogi, and LA Galbi. Everything is great but my winner is still the Jjamppong.

Jocelyn T.

Yelp
I absolutely love hand pulled noodles so I had to check this place out. The service is great and the place filled up fast and is lively, so get here early! The beef kooksoo was an amazing combination of spicey meaty soupy deliciousness. There were lots of veggies inside too that soaked up the flavorful broth. The noodles were nice and bouncy, and the serving is pretty big. The chicken noodle soup is also a good choice - it has the same yummy noodles. They also offer combos of noodles + kbbq + drink! I would definitely check this place out if you are craving Korean noodles!

Samantha C.

Yelp
First time trying Kooksoo, and I am absolutely in love! The service was amazing. Our server explained the menu to us, and recommended 1 large order of noodle soup (+$2 to the menu prices) or the combo options (noodles and choice bugolgi or ribs, and choice of rice or soda). We decided to order the beef Kooksoo and bugolgi with a side of rice. It was the perfect amount of food for our 2 hungry souls. The beef kookso is not spicy despite having 1 pepper icon next to the menu item. The soup base was so delicious that I drank every sip of it! The bugolgi was prepared differently than what I am used to (this version had tiny slices of leaner beef), but it was still delicious! The restaurant is so bright, and the high ceilings make the place feel so airy despite the small dining area. Definitely coming back

Hannah N.

Yelp
First impression was that the service was lacking. We were able to snag the only table available on a Sunday for lunch. It took them a long time to come back to take our order after seating us. I get that they were busy but the place is not that big. There's no bell at the tables like most Korean restaurants have nowadays. It got to the point where we were seriously contemplating leaving and going to Ari instead. As for the food, I got the beef stir fried over noodles on a recommendation and it was very tasty and a huge portion. The beef was thinly sliced and tender and the noodles where perfectly chewy and bouncy. My brother got the galbi jjim which I thought was just ok. The short ribs were tender but the flavor of the dish needed more depth. Rice does not come with this dish so you have to order it separately. Overall, the dish that I got was tasty enough to warrant another visit to try other dishes such as their kooksoo and jjamppong. I hope service would be better next time around though.

Yelp
Hours: Great food **if you can catch them when they'll actually make it.** They stop cooking around or before 7:30 PM, despite the "last call hours" on their door (8:15 PM), or their hours on Yelp, Google, et al (8:30 PM). This unspoken time seems to change every time I come here for dinner and I've been turned away several times, even an hour before closing. I think this somewhat has to do with how many people are there at the time. Food: Aside from not knowing when the dining hours actually are, I love the food here, it's been great every time I've had it, (mostly take-out). If dining in, note that the tables are kind of small and once you add the food, drinks, etc. it can get crowded, even with just 2 people. I've gone at a busy dinner time and watched 4-6 people cram themselves at tiny tables with barely any room to move their arms. You order from a kiosk at your table, which I happen to like as it can get kind of loud when it's busy and I'd hate to have to shout my order to the server. Service: Our servers have been very friendly and kind, especially when my kids can't use chopsticks well and have forks on hand for them. Food comes out pretty quickly after ordering. A service critique: I dined here a couple of weeks ago and the nice server cleaned our table before we sat down...with a very smelly (mildewy) rag that I think he had been using for his entire shift. This made our 'freshly cleaned' table smell awful, which somewhat killed our appetites. My kid ended up quickly eating a small bowl of rice and asked to take dinner home to avoid the smell. Oddly this seems to happen somewhat often at other restaurants around here, either using horribly mildewed rags to wipe down tables, or swinging the opposite direction and filling the place with Lysol, neither of which are something most want to smell/breathe in before eating. So despite liking the food a lot, I have to remove 1 star for their seemingly arbitary hours and 1 for using nasty cleaning cloths to wipe down with. I think I'll stick with take-out for a while.

Yelp
Small Korean place in a strip mall in Plano. They specialize in noodle soups and they do them oh so well! The beef noodle soup is a large bowl of mildly spicy, flavorful, rich broth, packed with noodles and tender beef. It also contains some vegetables to round out the dish. It is server with a side of excellent Kimchi. The chicken noodle soup (not the spicy version) is like what you crave on a cold day or when you feel sick and just want some comfort. It has a warm, deep chicken flavor and is packed with noodles. As you slurp in some noodles, you just feel that wave of nurturing warmth that only a good chicken noodle soup can bring. If you want something truly spicy and like seafood, the King Ribs Jjam Ppong is the right choice for you. A large rib and plenty of mussels and shrimp come with a bunch of noodles and a spicy broth that'll clear your sinuses. It still manages to pack a lot of flavor that shines through the spice. If you like noodle soups and Korean flavors, this is a great place to go.

Heema N.

Yelp
Kooksoo was a great spot. I wanted more chicken and seafood options, since my family doesn't eat beef, but, what we had was pretty tasty. I stood at the front of the restaurant for a minute before someone noticed me, but when they saw me, I was seated immediately. The food was good, and priced fairly. This is a great place to explore.

Lin L.

Yelp
Favorite place to go especially during summer. Their spicy cold noodle is delicious. Make sure to order the combination with their Galbi or Bulgogi. This time we also try the king ribs Jam Pong. Its recommended. Portion is big enough for 2 people. This location they closed pretty early. Last call is at 7.30 PM so make sure to go early. Service is friendly. They are tentative & helpful. I went to the legacy location. This location is not that big but very cozy.

Kristina N.

Yelp
There are a lot of Korean dishes that are very underrated and deserve more attention in the spotlight. Out with the tofu-jigae, and in with the Jjam Ppong! Just kidding, I still love me some tofu-jigae. I would say Kooksoo is the Korean equivalent of a pho restaurant, but with much higher quality ingredients and larger portions. Come very hungry, and sharing is highly recommended between at least 2-3 people. I only got the chance to try the King Ribs Jjam Ppong. The only thing that made me sad about it, was that I couldn't finish it on my own. The meal is held in a large metal bowl, which keeps the soup hot throughout. It contains noodles, veggies, and various types of seafood. My favorite part is the two large, extremely tender, short rib. The meat literally falls off the bone. For ~$20, this is a steal! I wish I got to try the galbi, but that will have to be for next time. We also got a free side of Korean fried dumplings for checking into Yelp. It was essentially a fried cheese dumpling. Nothing special to note, except that it was free. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant to be included in any food itinerary. The only con about this place is that it's only in the Dallas area. I would love it if they came to Houston!

Nitin S.

Yelp
Absolutely loved Kooksoo. It lives up to the hype and the lofty reviews! The noodles are just sublime...the right texture, perfect amount of chewiness. We got the Beef Kooksoo which is the spicy, flavorful broth full of beef, zucchini and mushrooms. One portion was enough for the two of us. The chicken over rice was perfectly grilled, tender and the dish is so tasty with whole cloves of garlic! We need lab to be back to go through the rest of the menu very soon!

Penny K.

Yelp
We were blown away with the portions and variety of noodle soups at Kooksoo! I really wanted to try the lobster jjamppong but they were sold out by the time we arrived for dinner. I ordered the noodle combo special instead: King ribs jjamppong with galbi. Omg, we had no idea this combo could feed two people by itself - we ordered 2 different combos and had waaayy too much food! The portions were generous and spread out. The ingredients were fresh and quality - from the meat to the broth! I sent my mother pictures of the food and she is dying to come try this place now too! It's an awesome place to try Korean noodles and meats.

Jennifer D.

Yelp
Delicious food! Friendly and fast service. Got the less spicy beef stir fry and thank goodness I got less spicy because it was the perfect amount of spice!!

n l.

Yelp
Food: Very legit plates, bowls and chopsticks....100% metal and very heavy. Food was good but the noodles were a bit spicy King Ribs Jjamppong and LA Galbi $36.85 Korean BBQ Bulgogi $15.95 Service: fast, attentive, and happy Ambiance: very small place.

Lin V.

Yelp
Delicious food! The beef kooksoo was just what I needed during the recent Texas winter storm. Easy to order via the tablet at the table. Cozy atmosphere. Would come again!

Tung T.

Yelp
The portion is very generous and the soup is amazing. The rib was tender enough that I can split it using my chopsticks - not the disposable chopsticks but the steel ones which I like much better. Beside rib, there are seafoods and shrimp. The noodles was soft and chewy. Great option for cold days!!

Sophia K.

Yelp
It's really delicious. And the interior is clean and beautiful. The servers are also friendly. The garlic kimchi is incredibly tasty.

Lucie N.

Yelp
ORDER - Beef Kooksoo - Korean BBQ Bulgogi - Stir-fried Beef with Noodles - LA Galbi For both the Kooksoo and the Stir-fried Beef with Noodles, they use really good textured noodles. The noodles are a combo of stiff and chewy/bouncy as well which makes the dish really good. The Beef Kooksoo had a great soup base. It wasn't too salty but also had a similar taste to kimchi. There were tender pieces of beef within the dish as well. Overall, the other vegetables inside like the mushrooms, zucchini, and other vegetables made a very good broth, and overall, I would highly recommend this dish. The Korean BBQ Bulgogi was a little bit on the saltier side, but it was hot when served and had a good texture. Tasted decent as well. The Stir-fried Beef with Noodles was great. There were pieces of zucchini that weren't too mushy as well as plenty of beef. It's on the heavier side of a dish but not heavy to the point it is unappetizing. Definitely a good combo of ingredients and perfect comfort food! The LA Galbi was alright. A lot of the pieces had more fat than meat, but the flavor overall was good. We also got the iced herbal tea. It was really good. Sweet but still had the aroma of tea. Very refreshing and would definitely recommend getting a combo so you can get a drink, noodles, and some meat on the side! Overall, for the prices, the quality of the food is great and I would highly recommend this place! VIBES The place is on the smaller side but seats quite a few people. It was quiet when we came (probably because it had rained and it was a Sunday at 5 pm). The place is clean and the white aesthetic gives it a very modern feel. They also use gold-colored bowls and utensils which adds to the white aesthetic. I would say this is a good place to eat and talk over a meal. Casual and nice! SERVICE Service was overall mediocre. We were the only ones there at the time, so service was fast. I would note that it took a bit to get utensils and to get a side dish of kimchi out. Staff was respectful, but overall just didn't really interact much with us.

Kiana C.

Yelp
Ordering was very simple, everything is done at your own pace. I ordered the beef Kooksoo and wow the flavor of the broth was DELICIOUS. Completely swept me off my feet. They have soup and meat combos but honestly the amount of soup they give you qualifies as two meals. Overall very delicious experience. Staff was incredibly nice.

Quinn S.

Yelp
This is an incredible restaurant. Not only is the service and cleanliness top notch. The food is absolutely incredible. I love the beef bulgogi and the dumplings. All the noodle dishes are very yummy and everything is reasonable priced. You can feed two people a lot for less than $50. Highly recommend.

Yelp
We are big fans of Kooksoo, especially for the king ribs jjamppong. It's such a good deal for the amount of food (and meat/seafood) you get, the noodles and broth are delicious, and it's enough for two to share. We also like the galbi jjim (braised short ribs). If you're familiar with the dish, it's a healthier/less greasy version here. But it's much pricier than the jjamppong and takes a while to prepare. Check in on Yelp for free Korean fried dumplings!

Yelp
My go to place for Korean noodles. Some of their famous dishes are the beef kooksoo and chicken kooksoo.

Yelp
My husband and I have come by Kooksoo multiple times over the past six months and we've enjoyed everything we've tried here! In the heat of the summer we've super enjoyed their cold noodles. Their kongguksu in particular (cold soy milk noodle soup) is extremely refreshing and a perfect light meal for the weather. Portion sizes are also very generous; the first time we came, we ordered a large version of the beef kooksoo and the grilled chicken over rice for two, and we had enough leftover rice to take home with us for a meal the next day. The beef kooksoo is delicious and hearty for the winter, and the grilled chicken over rice has a really nice sweetness to the sauce that pairs very well with the rice. All in all, a great option for when we're craving Korean food, no matter what the weather is like outside. A word of caution about the cold noodles, though -- they deteriorate very quickly in takeout, noodles clumping together in a huge mass, so I recommend eating those in-store only. Looking forward to returning and trying some of the rest of their menu in the future!

Yelp
Alright I'm addicted. This place has the best hand pulled noodles and the broth is superior. It always comes out piping hot and packed with rich delicious flavors. Dine in or take out, it's been consistently tasty every time. We always get the extra large beef kooksoo. I must almost admit, they have the BEST kimchi around. I've also had the beef bulgogi but the noodles are the star of the show here!

Yelp
My first satisfying meal after recently moving to Dallas! I ordered the beef rib soup and for about $22, this portion was three times the size of my face and fed me for 2 meals. The flavorful broth was divine, as as the succulent beef ribs themselves with the perfect noodles. I didn't really care for the mountain of beansprouts as a topper (I removed them to the side so I can dive into the good stuff). Even the house kimchee served as a banchan was delectable. Service was attentive and kind. I will definitely be back.

Yelp
These are my favorite noodles. Every time I go, the noodles are hot and delicious. My kids can't eat spicy yet, so I ordered the chicken knife noodle soup and they loved it. I recommend the combo menu, which comes with one noodle and LA galbi. Great customer service. Definitely recommend this place for Asian noodles.

Yelp
I came to eat here alone and the service was quite nice. They generally left me alone unless I needed something, then I would ask for a server. The portions are pretty big, but it was all very tasty and very hot. The chopsticks do take some time to get used to because they're metal and kind of heavy. Everything was flavorful and tasty, the beef soup is a bit spicy, but still very good. Bulgogi was tender paired perfectly with the soup. I always recommend this place to my friends

Yelp
Whenever I'm feeling a bit under the weather I always go get Korean food. We got the Beef Kooksoo and the King Ribs Jjamppong. Both were absolutely delicious. The beef Kooksoo had a lot of flavor to it with a good amount of beef and vegetables inside. The king Ribs jjamppong had 3 large beef ribs and a decent amount of mussels and shrimp as well. We both left happy and full. We'll be back!

Yelp
Best korea noodle store in texas!(my view) Our order goes like this. stir-fried beef noodle, with beef noodle, Chefs special La galbi! Prices are great. Food always comes out hot and freshly made. We come here probably once a week. Love the service here too.

Yelp
The Food was terrible and the bathroom was so disgusting!!! If I could give this place negative stars I would! . The service was absolutely terrible the restaurant closes at 8:30 they came over to tell us the kitchen was closed and we couldn't order anymore vs telling us prior incase we wanted to order something before kitchen was closed this was the first sign of them acting VERY Rude. They were all too eager to say BYE so loudly. The woman working there was staring at us the entire time and the man was just as weird. In addition to the absolute shit service the food was not great either. Never going back and advise you don't either so many other great options in the area go there instead!! This is the kind of place that makes you question if they did something nasty to your food.

Yelp
This is my favorite noodle shop in plano. I have been to many and this shop has the best noodle hands down, specifically the beef noodle. The broth is rich and filled with savory flavors. The noodles pair perfectly with it and I like that. The beef has a nice flavor as well. Having a flavorful beef in your noodle is a rarity. The staff is also very friendly. I love this place and so glad I found it. I hope its successful for decades to come.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try Kooksoo for a while. When we found ourselves in the area, I immediately made sure we get to dine here! It's quite a small restaurant, the tables were small too, but the interior is very clean. We ordered the chicken noodle soup and the beef ribs jjampong. The noodle soup came with a lot of chicken! Like a lot. The jjampong was every bit as delicious as I imagined it to be. The price is quite high for noodle soup, but the portion is huge. The 2 dishes were aplenty for us, 2 adults + 2 kids. The server automatically gave us extra bowls, ladle & scissors, which was a nice gesture. We'll definitely be back!
