On the Grid : Kopi Travelers Cafe

"If after a meal at Kopi you mistake your surroundings for Vermont circa 1970-something, no one would fault you. The vibe of the self-described Traveler’s Cafe is backpacker hostel sans beds. Though and intimate seating area in the front window is outfitted with low tables and plush pillows, making it the perfect place to cozy up with a good book and a chai tea. Come for tasty coffee, lots of vegetarian options, and a selection of fair trade artisan goods." - Rusty Design Co.

Where To Eat In Andersonville

"Kopi is a cafe in Andersonville where you can grab a sandwich, sit on comfy floor cushions, or shop for things like incense, handspun scarves, or wooden chests from Thailand. Our favorite dishes on the meat-free menu are the roasted red pepper and goat cheese focaccia, the Salmon Rushdie (smoked salmon and Camembert between two pieces of fluffy challah), and the Elvis: A grilled peanut butter and banana panini that’s fueling untold numbers of underground school lunch trading rings. Whether you’re looking for a quick lunch or need a place to get some work done, this cozy spot will persuade you to stay for a couple of hours, if not the whole day." - sam faye, adrian kane, john ringor

This is a seemingly cute cafe but on the whoa expensive side. I just want to warn everyone, you might think the pastries are reasonable but they are in my opinion, excessively priced. The cinnamon bun, first of all, was not a bun but a yellow cake. It did not taste like cinnamon at all and was $7.99! I have never in my life had a cinnamon bun that expensive and it was nothing special to boot. It was falsely advertised as a “bun” and not only that, the clerk didn’t use a glove to pick it up out of the case. Luckily his finger didn’t touch the cake itself. There was a lot of pressure to “dine in” as I looked at the menu and just was not up for the prices and I clarified that I was going to take it “to go” (not knowing it made a difference). I had already eaten and just wanted something quick. Then thinking I needed to try a bite of the “bun” before I left, I asked for a spoon. He gave me a plastic one. I asked if I could try a metal one since it was supposedly a bun which is thick and tough to cut with plastic, and he responded “the seating is dine in only.” He offered to let me do it but with the most disgusted, disgruntled, impatient attitude. I literally needed like 2 bites on my way out (after tipping $1 on an already ridiculous price) and didn’t want to take up a table for one item vs letting diners have a full lunch. I did not feel valued, or even wanted in the store at all. Talk about judgement and exclusion, wow this attitude sums that up to a T. Sorry to say but I will never be back. Disgusting.

I recently visited Kopi Café in Andersonville, seeking a cozy spot to work on my iPad and enjoy a cup of coffee. Upon entering, I was warmly greeted and seated, which was a pleasant surprise. The café boasts an extensive menu with numerous vegan options, making it appealing for those seeking diverse food choices. I ordered the French toast from their breakfast selection. While it didn’t quite match my personal taste, others might appreciate its unique flavor. However, I soon discovered that Kopi Café does not offer Wi-Fi, and my cell service was virtually non-existent inside. This made it challenging to work or stay connected online. It seems the café encourages patrons to disconnect and perhaps read or engage in conversation, aligning with its cozy and eclectic ambiance. In summary, Kopi Café is a charming establishment with a welcoming atmosphere and a menu catering to various dietary preferences. However, if you’re looking for a place to work online or require internet connectivity, this might not be the ideal spot. It’s better suited for those wishing to unplug and enjoy a meal or a good book.

Very helpful staff, a nice variety of seating, welcoming atmosphere radiating skill and creativity. Enjoyed the art and clothing gallery too.

Such a cozy spot for a nice warm and refreshing meal! You can sit on the floor which is great for the neurodivergents or those who just want to stretch. The tuna sandwich was so good and packed with healthy flavor. The chai was a good compliment too! Staff were so kind and helped us get great food and drink on a chilly day!

A unique diner! It’s a new world once you enter the door. The sitting on the floor area in the front is such an cute idea, it also puts the people sitting there in the window somehow and I love that! Back of the diner is a full shop with handmade clothes, silver jewelry, scarves, imported souvenirs, incense, candles… I’m telling you it’s another world. I tried a cold brew coffee and a gluten free & vegan brownie they were both very quality. I will be coming back.

We visited Kopi cafe in Andersonville for brunch after a busy work weekend, I have to say, I was thoroughly impressed! As a group with a few vegetarians and vegans, we always look for delicious alternative spots, and Kopi did not disappoint. The eclectic experience began right away, with the option for outdoor dining, as well as the tea room up front for people watching. Inside, the dining room is absolutely adorable, with a cozy atmosphere and plenty of pastry options to choose from. What I loved most about Kopi, though, was the attention to detail and support of local vendors. The handmade products on display throughout the cafe were not only cute, but also a testament to the community spirit that makes Andersonville such a great neighborhood. Overall, I highly recommend Kopi cafe for anyone looking for a unique and delicious dining experience. Whether you're a vegetarian, vegan, or just looking for something new, you're sure to find something you love at this gem of a cafe.

Yelp
Very fun atmosphere! Stopped by today for just a coffee and got to sit in the area with no chairs, just pillows and short tables. They even let me take my shoes off up there! I kept them on, but still fun. I ordered a Mexican latte, which is Mexican hot chocolate with a shot of espresso. Very well seasoned and beautiful latte art. This place fills up quickly on a Saturday morning so if you want a cool seat with pillows and no chairs get there early! I will definitely be back to get food next time, everything I saw people order looked amazing.

Yelp
Yesterday we were in Andersonville and came upon Kopi Cafe and decided to eat there. It really is an unpretentious place but seems to have a following. There is even Kopi Cafe swag. We were greeted and seated as soon as we walked in. I ordered a focaccia with red pepper and goat cheese. My dining companion ordered the Pizza con salmon. We were first seated inside, but when we found out there was a patio we asked to move outside! My focaccia was tasty, and the greens with dressing served with it were fine. The top of the salmon pizza was good, but the crust was 'nothing to write home about. The waiter was attentive and efficient. If I would be in the neighborhood again, I would not hesitate to come back.

Yelp
Cute eclectic cafe with a gift shop in the back. Love the ambiance and decor. I sat at these short tables with cushions for chairs which was cool. Great menu, tons of options for tea and coffee, with a good panini menu as well. Looked like there were lots of fun alcoholic beverages as well so I will definitely try some when I go back. I ordered the golden matcha latte and was really impressed. I would definitely suggest going and trying this item.

Yelp
It had been over a decade since I stepped foot into this delightful and meaningful cafe. That 1st sip of their Mexican Hot Chocolate brought me back to my college years. Still the same!

Yelp
the best brownie ever, the kindest staff, the cutest floor seats and amazing fresh coffee. ive come here and sat and done work for hours. What a beautiful place to go!

Yelp
Have always loved this place and been coming here for years. A really fun environment with great coffees and teas. The carrot cake was excellent. Service was exceptional. Try the golden cream.

Yelp
So so so so delicious! I was very pleased with the Gluten Free knowledge of the staff. The gluten free bread was to die for with the soft motz. The ambience is also eclectic world traveler type of vibe and it was very warm and welcoming. Talking with the staff was great and there definitely was a sense of community here. The shop inside the cafe also had really cute clothes and we picked up some art pieces. Would definitely be back again.

Yelp
I did a networking coffee here and it was so great, vibes were so cozy. I decided I had to come back for some pastries and am glad I did - especially since there were gluten free options for my husband. They also have cocktails and food on their menu but I have never partaken! I try to come back for dessert when i am in the area but they close on the earlier side.

Yelp
We came here on a VERY busy Saturday afternoon. It was so SO packed. It's such a laid back vibe inside. There's this portion of seating where you can sit on the ground on pillows. My husband and I sat up there but it took forever to get noticed to place an order or just get some water. Besides from that one side, I got the best espresso martini. The espresso in it was just divine. I got the sipping chocolate which I'd pass on next time. My husband got tea which he absolutely loved and has put him on a tea kick. We also got a feta Mediterranean platter to share and the feta and tomato and cucumber and the pesto, everything just tasted so fresh and delicious. Definitely will be back but would probably get a table next time.

Yelp
Kopi is an eclectic global cafe, and I loved it! They have art covering the walls, clocks showing the time in cities across the world, and even a little store of handmade goods in the back. The place is way bigger than it looks from the outside! There is patio seating in the front and back of the cafe (although a bit too cold for that now), table seating, plus floor seating on cushions with a view out the front window. So cozy! They have a huge menu and tons of vegetarian options, and they serve breakfast all day. I saw a lot of dishes with veggie patties / sausages instead of meat! Plus an extensive drink menu including a variety of teas, coffees, alcohol, and hot cocoa. There is definitely something for everyone here!

Yelp
This place is super cute and consistently a lovely time. My favorite part about Kopi is I can come in during the dead of winter for a hot chai or a humid summer day for an iced coffee and I know it's going to be delicious. And there'll always be a delicious pastry available too. My best friend spoke highly of the gluten free cinnamon bun. The employees are always cheerful and helpful too. I had minimal cell service in here so I don't know how good they'd be for working (I didn't inquire about wifi) but it's a perfect place to stop by, any time of the year.

Yelp
Such an eclectic cafe. I was surprised that there was table service for dine-in, which was great. The staffs were both helpful and laid back. I felt very comfortable working on my laptop for hours, tucked into a cozy corner. There is a full bar menu with cocktails and wines as well as a huge food selection. I love that you get all the amenities of a restaurant but also the perks and relaxation of a cafe. I had the golden milk and the salmon rushdie, which were both fantastic. Things couldn't have gone better with happy hour and $6 alcoholic drinks. Yummmm. I want to check out the gift shop area next time. Lots of trinkets and books to peruse.

Yelp
My rating is really a 3.5 but the service was fantastic which bumps it to a 4. We were on a walk and realized how hungry we were and decided to stop here. It's a funky place, even has a section where you sit on pillows on the floor and eat at low tables. It was an unseasonably warm day and opted to eat outside at one of the tables at the front (although I did see what looked like a back patio). Our server was very attentive despite being their only table outside and made sure our waters were always full. We enjoyed chatting with them as well. They have a large menu chock full of vegetarian and vegan options. I was interested in most of them, but opted to get the Libido Burrito (although I maintain that it's hard to feel libidinous after eating a burrito stuffed with refried beans, but I digress). My partner got the falafel plate. The burrito was fine. It's definitely a fork and knife burrito; there's no picking that big guy up. It was very refried beans focused and needed some more flavor variety/a more even combo of ingredients. The tortilla was griddled which was good for texture but it made it more difficult to cut. The pico on the side added a Lot. My partner thought the falafel plate was just ok. He said the Mediterranean salad and grilled veggies were very good but that the hummus lacked flavor and the falafel was dry and needed more of a punch. The hummus to food ratio was also off. I'm open to returning but will try different dishes next time. Maybe a milkshake?

Yelp
Kopi is a cute vegan-friendly restaurant in Andersonville. I didn't know the restaurant focused on beyond meat/non-meat entrees, but I adapted. I ordered their black bean burger, which came with a huge side of chips (would have preferred fries). I also had their non-dairy mango smoothie, which was soo refreshing! My friend ordered their breakfast tacos, and was a little disappointed by the lack in flavor. I would say it was a bit challenging trying to find something I would like...so I recommend looking at their menu before committing to it.

Yelp
My favorite cafe in Chicago. They stand on their taste in art, furniture, music, food, etc. Great smoked salmon, nice pastries, extensive and intriguing drink menu. Wait staff are smart and kind and do their own thing which suits me fine. No wi-fi or outlets so you are forced to live in your surroundings, which in this case is a welcome opportunity.

Ricco V.

Yelp
This place does NOT have public WiFi and they serve you water from the tap which is not healthy. The floors are dirty and unfinished.

Ellen M.

Yelp
We went on a pretty busy day, so the staff was doing their best! It is pretty popular. They have a big menu and I think that is where they could cut back. Each of our meals was about $25. I got the vegetarian sausage and gravy which was pretty good. As a southern I'm very particular about my biscuits and these were pretty good (6.5/10). They had a great array of desserts, which were mostly vegan or gluten-free. If you have dietary restrictions, this place seems like a good option since they have a big menu. They had indoor and outdoor seating, which was nice. They have fun art to look at on the walls and the atmosphere is very busy. This is definitely a place where people go to meet with friends and share ideas. I don't know if I would be back for a meal, but I could see myself popping in and getting a pastry.

Yelp
RATING: 7/10 I was walking around Andersonville looking for a place where I could read when I stumbled upon this place! Kopi has absolutely amazing vibes--there's a living room type area with cushions, a shop with knick knacks and books, and a private outdoor patio. I chose to sit outside and it was the perfect place where I could enjoy my book in peace! I ordered the hummus plate which was nothing that special but that was on me--I just wanted a small snack. If I were to eat here again, I'd probably order something more unique like their sandwiches! My only comment is that the prices were a bit steep with each entree being more than $15. But I did appreciate that everything was vegan. Service was great--everyone was super attentive. Definitely recommend if you're looking for vegan options and a great environment as long as you're okay with splurging a bit.

Yelp
Came here last week for the first time with our cousin who only lives a couple blocks away from here. He led us to the upper area were you can sit on the floor and I was in love! It was such a cozy spot, with comfy cushions to sit on the ground, perfect window view, and the service was warm and welcoming. Since we just had lunch, we were pretty stuffed. But we ordered some tea. My cousin got a hot chocolate, my sister the blueberry tea, and I, the San Francisco tea. It was so good... Reminded me of a Teavana flavor I had a long time ago. It had a warm, cinnamon, spicy hint to it that was perfect for digesting and enjoying on a cloudy Chicago day. I did try my sister's tea and it was okay, I liked mine better (She's a fan of blueberry everything). If you are looking for a comfy spot to get your work done, read a book in a cozy corner or hangout with loved ones, this is the place :)

Yelp
We stopped by here on a busy weekend day and all the staffers were really welcoming and friendly. They put up with a medium-sized group of people standing in their narrow entryway and perseverating over the menu. And one of their employees was kind (and sharp) enough to point out a wayward member of our party when I was looking for her. And to someone else's point that they only care about money -- I don't think that's true. I actually didn't order anything that afternoon, having just come from brunch, and my "no thanks" was just met with a grinning, "You sure?" that implied no pressure whatsoever. (Their Mexican hot chocolate and their coffee both got thumbs up from others in the group.) This is one of those cafes where people linger for hours and have sincere conversations over second and third refills. Their selection of homemade snacks is pretty impressive, too. All told, a quirky, welcome alternative to the Starbucks across the street.

Yelp
The place: cute. Quaint. Unassuming. A great back patio that I didn't know existed. For this flexitarian in particular, the pescatarian menu is a dream. Solid service. The taste: there are so many things I want to try. I applaud the heart-heathy, veggie forward menu. We shared the mister Greco (love me some artichoke hearts) and the Salmon Davis Jr (love me a food pun). Both were tasty and well portioned. We left full but not disgustingly stuffed. The drinks also were really compelling but alas, just got coffee this time around. My face: Contented. $47 for two sandwiches, two coffee drinks and tip. Will certainly be back. It seems like it took me a long time to discover this gem after walking by it hundreds of times, but excited to make my way through more of the menu.

Yelp
A very cute and quirky local cafe. Very popular, especially with solo diners and trendy young ins. Ambiance - 5/5 - love the hippie vibes, crowded tables and sitting tables at the front. The store at the back is also super cute with some affordable finds - candles, soaps, perfumes, bags and clothes galore! Service - 5/5 - everyone was super nice and helpful, even though I only got to go, I felt very well taken care of. Food - 4/5 - a very good sandwich (red pepper and goat cheese on tomato focaccia) and love the dressing on the greens. But nearly $20 for a sandwich hurts. I would've been happy with just half the sandwich for $5...

Yelp
Me and my mom USED to come here to buy jewelry. The last time we were there we bought about 2-3 rings and a pair of earrings. When we walked out we were literally chased down the street because the cashier didn't believe the cc went through. When he recognized it had, he sheepishly walked back to the cafe. I guess people of color can't buy things.
google avatar

Yelp
This place is a gem. Eclectic interior with tables in the back and floor seating in the front that makes me think of Northern Africa with low tables and cushions as seats. Staff is friendly and helpful which I really treasure these days. If you venture farther into the back, you will find yourself in a little shop with artisanal jewelry, clothes, and trinkets. They have an outdoor seating in the back too. I can't speak to the food yet but I can say that their signature margaritas are great. I will be going back soon:) The only negative I can think of is poor ventilation. The kitchen is in the middle of the Cafe and onion must be a common ingredient in the food people order because we kept rubbing our eyes and felt a bit choked. It was a beautiful day when we went so we were grateful when they opened the doors for cross ventilation.

Yelp
I went here for lunch for the first time today and we had such a nice experience. They have a really expansive drink menu (not just cocktails but also coffees, teas, shakes and juices) which is great because I am a big tea person. I had a blueberry white tea that was light and flavorful. The food menu is also pretty large with lots of different breakfast and lunch options. Also tons of pastry/cake/dessert options. We had a delicious carrot cake after lunch. Servers were prompt and very friendly. The place itself is cozy and interesting, also has a small gift shop/store inside. I definitely plan to be back and try some other things on the menu.

Yelp
This afternoon I figured I'd treat myself to the Libido Burrito via delivery. Typically this burrito is tasty and filled with fresh ingredients as listed on menu. Today's offering was stuffed with very dry refried beans and chopped cheese which looked like little plastic pellets found in bean bags (well, maybe appropriate in this case). And it was probably pre-fabbed and heated in a microwave. Because I'm on a limited income, spending on a delivered dish that was less than up to Kopi's former (?) standards was a great disappointment. I ate it because it's still food--which I can't bear to waste. Sorry, Kopi, I won't be ordering from your cafe again. However I will stop by for your marvelous Mexican hot chocolate.
google avatar

Jack L.

Yelp
Unique cafe with an interesting floor sitting dining area to really tap into your ancestral roots. I think it was a busy day so the staff couldn't clean the tables as much as I would have liked. I love dishes with pesto and mozzarella, but unfortunately the bread was pretty hard and hurt the roof of my mouth.

Nic K.

Yelp
Very very nice breakfest and staff. Great French toast. Was recommended by a friend and this did not disappoint
google avatar

Gerrit K.

Yelp
Amazingly attentive service, funky vibe, great location, with a huge assortment of food and drink. The service here was so great - we got plenty of attention and were able to keep ordering additional drinks as time went on, allowing us to stick around for a decent amount of time, enjoying the scenery and the nice day out. I was surprised by the variety of food and drinks available. While my wife enjoyed the Carmelita drink and a late lunch with her friend, I just ordered a few different types of drinks and thoroughly enjoyed them all, including the Golden Espresso Latte, Lemon Ginger Kombucha, and Matcha Freeze.

Michael S.

Yelp
Cozy atmosphere and a decent menu, but the wait staff were utterly abhorrent. One of the waiters incessantly spouted transphobic comments, accosting my fellows and me with rude and cynical language just for journaling. At the same time, we decided the staff bullied us on what to order. We were only there for less than half an hour until the staff bullied us into ordering something, wherein they said, "This is a restaurant, not a library." By then, I was fully prepared to begin my lunch order, but the horrible treatment ruined my appetite and mood for the remainder of the afternoon. On Easter, no less. Do better.

Lyle L.

Yelp
I've been several times now and it's been a great experience each time. The ambiance is super comfortable and the staff is incredibly hospitable. The food and drinks have been consistently great as well. Can't wait for my next visit to this adorable cafe
google avatar

Jupiter J.

Yelp
This used to be one of my fave cafes. Not anymore. There was a crowd at the door and the hostess took names and said it would be a 10-minute wait. My friend was parking the car. After 10 minutes, she seated the people behind me. I told her I was waiting ahead of them, she said she couldn't seat me until all parties were there. To be clear, this is a small cafe, not a restaurant. I have never been asked to wait for a guest here or at any other cafe. She proceeded to sit everyone behind me until there were no tables open. I called my friend and told them to forget it and walked out. I expect this attitude at a 5-star restaurant but not at a neighborhood cafe. I won't be returning.

Yelp
The very best lemon bars I've ever had!! And I've eaten a lot of lemon bars in my life.

Yelp
Nice, good amount of seating including pillows around tables. Coffee selection seems adequate and coffee is good. Not picky nor know much about coffee, I the staff is accommodating, it's a peaceful place, and there's a small shop in the back with nice items at a fair price. I feel well when I go there!

Yelp
One of the worst restaurant experiences I've ever had. From the very beginning the owners wife is condescending, off putting, and rude. It seems the only culture she is interested in is the kind she can exploit for cash. I was very happy to discover Kopi and was ready to become a regular (I'm a huge Beatles fan, I'm interested in Buddhism etc). I bought several expensive pieces. One day I wanted to sit down and drink something while I read a book. I decided to sit down in an enclosed area where my favorites were: the No chair area. She comes RUNNING towards me eyes locked like a bull "No oNe CaN SIt THeRe beCAuUsE oF cOVID" she very snakily says to me. It seemed like a shout in my opinion. Doesn't offer me another place to sit. Doesn't say sorry. I spent more that day on art than probably half those tables. I brush it aside as her having an off day. Restaurants are stressful. The male owner offers to wipe down a table for me to hang out at which I appreciated and accepted. Next time Im alone and sit in the area that I originally wanted. I notice they let this white guy hang out in there with me although they were so keen on kicking me out the day before. They don't say a thing to him. I brush it off. Whatever. Next time I'm in there I manage to snag the same seats as they were my favorite. A woman walks in. She is white. The owners wife tell her "oh sure you can sit there. We'll just put plants as a barrier". Where was that courtesy for me a few days ago? The lady then says "oh it's a table for 4". 4 - I say to myself. Surely they are concerned now. It wasn't even busy. They had SO many tables available. But oh of course she can do whatever she wants! She is so nice and courteous and accommodating now. It's interesting to me that your whole store is about immigrants but I guess they only matter when it's something you can exploit. When it's something that makes you feel so cool even though it couldn't be farther from the truth. The Beatles would be ashamed by your behavior and how dare you play them? You don't know the slightest thing about peace of love! You are the most vacant , ugly, fake person I've ever had the misfortune of being in contact with and i will never return to this establishment. It's not just me. There are plenty of other comments that convey exactly what I'm saying right now. You should be ashamed and I pity you!!! I am way too beautiful and interesting for this B.S. She always seems so proud to show off her travels. Oh you're so cultured! WE GET IT. Oh you're so interesting! NOT REALLY. I order the vegan burger for the first time ever. It's expensive! I don't mind paying but the quality was not there. They didn't even give you fries just tortilla chips. How lazy and cheap. It gave me the worst stomach ache of my life. I used the bathroom and I can tell they're annoyed with me when really they should sympathize and feel ashamed that their food caused this. I leave because I don't think I can hold my farts in. The pain is excruciating and I don't want to make a scene. I'm sweating and panicking. I think I'm about to shit myself right then and there!! NO LIE. I call my BF and cancel all my plans. Luckily I find a port a potty. YOUR AWFUL food did this to me. Aside from the female owners poor service, the food was plain awful and a rip off. I was in love with your pastries and even tipped despite how expensive they were. I was ready to be a nice regular. But this whole establishment is a lie and a rip off. Don't waste your money!! I know I won't!! You haven't the slightest clue as to what love and compassion are lady! You just want to seem cool to your friends that walk in the neighborhood. It's disgusting! You are the phoniest person I've ever met. You are racist, cold, and ugly. You know the Beatles looked up to a lot of people of color! They were one of the few to stand up for blacks when venues refused to let them attend their music. To them it seemed backwards! They looked up to them! You're so "worldly" and yet you know nothing. *sorry to everyone who works here that is unfortunately associated with her. It's not directed towards you.

Yelp
When the pandemic hit and I thought of the businesses I wanted to support to be sure they made it through - Kopi was at the top of my list... This place is just comfortable... I grew up in Andersonville and can't remember a world without Kopi in it and I hope I never have to.

Yelp
I ordered ahead because I was late to work, which is very close by. It wasn't ready when I got there because they were PACKED, and I told them I'd have to come back and get it after I stopped into work. I told them where I worked and instead of waiting for me, the darlings ran it over to me. Such a lovely surprise and I really appreciated them running it when they were so busy!!!! Got a bagel with schmear, it was fantastic. May be my new before work meal spot from now on!

Yelp
A cozy intimate atmosphere. Very cool. Food is fantastic, so are the teas. A very personable staff, overall incredible experience. 5 million/5 stars.

Yelp
Nice welcoming atmosphere, strong hippie vibes. Food is okay, but the drinks are good. Be aware there isn't wifi though, and it's intentional. Really comfy spot to curl up with a good book, or lounge around with friends.

Yelp
Love this spot. Found it on accident last year and came back again few days ago. I really like to sit on pile of pillows by the window, but they do have "normal" tables if you prefer not to. It's a vegetarian spot that also offers gluten free and vegan options. I recommend The Salmon Rushdie. Their both food and drink menu is impressive. Breakfast is served all day (who doesn't like it?). Drinks include variety of teas, coffee, wine, beer, drinks and hard liquors. Also, they have house-brewed kombucha that I am a huge fan of. I tried a drink that mad made with kombucha and herbal liquor called The Elixir and I loved it! Kopi cafe is also a boutique. You can find wide range of one of a kind items from all over the world. I really like their Monday Night Music series with &6 Margaritas (8 to 10pm no cover). Will be back again!

Yelp
Love the menu, service, and food. The atmosphere is also really great. Apart from the pillows being a bit thin it is a very cozy atmosphere and setting. Miki made the whole experience very special and I felt all my needs were taken care of in great detail. I will be back with dates and friends!

Yelp
After getting full of food on Clark street, one must make a quick stop to Kopi Travelers. Kopi Travelers is a traveler-themed cafe located right in the heart of Andersonville in Chicago. They serve a wide variety of coffees and teas from around the world and some alcohols. I ordered the house blend as I read my book here. Didn't try the food, but I did respect their selection of dessert and vegetarian friendly options. There's also a nice little shop towards the back of the store which caters to the traveler/hippie crowd. There's lots of fun maps, incense, jewelry, travel guides, etc. that makes one eager to buy it all. Really cozy spot in the city. Did I mention that there's free WiFi? Only downside I can think of is that I don't live closer to this place as to make it my go-to cafe. Love it and will be back.

Yelp
My favorite place in Chicago! I'm not sure what I love more...enjoying that little cozy patio when weather allows it or simply snuggling with floor pillows in that window area during cold winter days. Highly recomending Tempeh burger and Uncle Erwin sandwich!

Yelp
Kopi has more than first meets the eye: a relaxed atmosphere; street dining, indoors and patio; shop with apparel and jewelry; and one of the most varied pescatarian / vegetarian menus I've found. Loved the beverage menu: two pages of teas and a great assortment of iced drinks and frozen slushes and drinks. Hit the spot for the high-80sF weather we had the day we dropped in. Very accommodating service too (oh, you don't want something sweet - you may not want what you just ordered, but let's see what we have in the teas; we can change it to iced instead of hot).

Yelp
I LOVE KOPIS. Branded as a Travelers Cafe and situated in the heart of Andersonville, Kopi emphasizes thought and conversation over computer work and caffination. Kopi doesn't have wifi, so it is not a place to work. However, it has an extensive food, drink, and coffee menu. It also has a small bookstore in the back with travel books and a store with clothes and jewelry from around the world. As a cozy place with great art and a relaxed vibe, I love to catch up with friends or read a book here. Great any of their slices of pie- you will not be disappointed.

Yelp
Cute little cafe situated in Andersonville. The back patio is a lovely place to sit, especially in the evening. The servers are all very friendly and helpful. They have some fairly good coffee. Though the food is good, I wouldn't say it isn't ~quite~ something to write home about. Despite this, they DO offer lots of vegan and vegetarian options. I had the "Blue" Tempeh Burger and an almond milk cappuccino.

Yelp
I was introduced to Kopi's via a friend that strongly recommended that we check it out since he has here a few times. I absolutely love Kopi's decor and the vibe inside. The furniture is what you would see in an antique shop. The furniture is mix matched but it works for the vibe that the restaurant is going for. I love that they not only offer you the option of sitting at a four top table but also sitting at a table that's low enough for you to sit on the floor. The one thing that I didn't realize prior to visiting was that it is completely vegetarian. The menu took me back to when I was strictly vegetarian. They had so many options to choose from and all of them looked really delicious. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly from the moment we sat at our table. Not realizing that the place was completely vegetarian we ended up going somewhere else to eat after having a cup of coffee. I would definitely visit again to try out the food.

Yelp
I love Kopi's so much! They have the best baked goods, especially the red velvet cupcakes. I could spend all day there, drinking the Mexican hot chocolate, sitting by the window people watching, and shopping in the back. Waitstaff are always warm and welcoming.
