Kopichadim a New London Malaysian Cafe, Brings Kaya Toast to Brick Lane | Eater London

"A new Malaysian cafe and bakery in Shoreditch opened on Monday 16 January as a partnership between bubble tea entrepreneur Yan Chen and Sue Chow of online bakery Sueperlicious, occupying the spot formerly home to Aaron and Icy Mo’s Ong Ong Buns. The opening menu showcases Sueperlicious bakes such as pandan blondies (including a raspberry salted caramel pandan brownie), curry puffs filled with a coconut sweet potato mixture, and kaya toast—thick kaya made with coconut cream, eggs, sugar and pandan sandwiched between white toast with generous pats of butter. Beverage offerings pair Chen’s bubble tea with traditional pulled teh tarik and what the founders describe as “robust, creamy” coffee, bringing Malaysian flavors to both the bakery and drink program." - James Hansen

Food was amazing 5* for the food! However there was no toilet which loses it a star also, waiting ages to order because the staff are just chatting casually to customers even when there are others in the queue. At some point after being in the queue for a while, an old lady came ti take my order. After waiting 15 minutes, she comes back and says sorry I didn’t take your order what did you want??? Very weird and put me off coming back or ever recommending the place which is a real shame.

Brilliant little Malaysian café, with by far the best kopi c in town and a kaya toast that I still dream about when I am hungry. The service is good, fast, and friendly and the food is authentic.
