"Surrounded by centuries-old linden trees and the rows of the family winery – which provide a backdrop for outdoor tables in fine weather – Bernard Korak has shaped a cuisine that is deeply tied to the land and seasonality. After important experiences alongside Three-MICHELIN-Star chefs such as Ana Roš and Massimo Bottura, the chef chose to enhance the traditions of the Plešivica region, where mountains blend with rolling hills covered with vineyards. His proposal consists of a single eight-course blind tasting menu, sometimes flanked by a shorter five-course version, to offer an intense and surprising dining experience. Creative recipes, but always focused on taste: a simple seasoned radicchio leaf becomes an explosion of flavours; the frog legs on spicy almond cream are delicious, as are the snails accompanied by bruscandoli and seasonal mushrooms. Rounding out the experience is impeccable service entrusted to Vera, the chef's sister, who is attentive and thoughtful in every detail." - Michelin Inspector

We were with a larger group. After a brief and informative winery tour we sat down for a 5+ course tasting lunch. All of the dishes were creative, fresh and delicious! Food presentation was excellent! Service outstanding! Would highly recommend to anyone seeking a unique and special meal! A couple of the wines were very different but paired well.

We (group of 4) had an unforgettable lunch at Korak Winery Restaurant, we ordered the 5-course tasting menu that truly impressed us. Every dish was made from local products sourced directly from the estate. All this while being surrounded by breathtaking views of the vineyards, making you feel completely immersed in this stunning wine country setting. The price reflects the level of quality and experience you’d expect from a Michelin-starred restaurant. Consider it’s a 3 hours long meal.

Korak – A Story That Continues At Korak, nothing is ever repeated, yet everything feels comfortingly familiar. This summer’s chapter continues seamlessly, with a trusted cast of characters: tortellini, snails, trout, and poultry — this time appearing as exquisitely prepared pigeon. The flavors are new, the execution more precise, and the experience once again fresh, vibrant, and full of nuance. There’s always a subtle thread of nostalgia woven through the menu — one that gently leads back to the kitchen of Bernard’s grandmother. This time, it surfaced in the dessert: her beloved crêpes. So simple, yet deeply evocative. This is what makes Korak truly exceptional — authenticity without pretension. We love this restaurant. We love this family. Their warmth, sincerity, and effortless hospitality accompany you from the very first welcome to the final sip. A special mention goes to the non-alcoholic pairing that accompanied my tasting menu — unexpectedly delightful, thoughtfully composed, and refreshing in every way. A pairing that stood proudly beside each dish. Korak is far more than a meal. It’s an experience we long to return to — because we know it will be different each time, but always just as remarkable. Perhaps even more so.

With the fantastic view, we feelt that this could be the beginning of a great experience. We are met by a waitress who speaks very good English but who throughout the tasting feels rushed. We barely have time to ask any follow-up questions. At the end of the visit, we give her this feedback, which we feel she takes well. The wines are lovely and so is the charcuterie board.

What a fabulous multi course lunch. They took great care of our group of 34 even though they had a festival going on the same day. Be warned though...it is a marathon of a meal!

It was a very nice experience with a multi step set of dishes. This time we did not take the wines. Two negative points: * The coffee is really not good. This is surprising considering the rank of this venue. * The chairs are not very comfortable. That being said, it was a fabulous experience.

Had such a great experience there, we enjoyed the lunch service and tasted all the local flavours and experienced the family traditions in a very thoughtful and novel manner! Would definitely recommend

Probably one of the most beautiful locations we have ever eaten (compared to other Michelin star restaurant). Starting with sparkling wine while watching the sunset on the stunning vineyard, amazing starters and mains and even better dessert! Besides the incredible dishes that come out of the kitchen, the service is immaculate and you really do feel welcomed and very relaxed throughout the whole experience. Thank you to the chef and the whole family for having created this amazing location on the hills of Zagreb! We hope we will back in the future if we are nearby🍾
