Get to Know Nashville’s Deb Paquette, Chef and Owner of Etch | Eater Nashville

"For me, Korea House is pure nostalgia — I have been going there B.C. (before children) and took our kids there as soon as they could handle a spoon to encourage foods from all cultures. Jennifer, our longtime waitress, watched our babies grow up; their cold cucumber soup in the summer and their japchae are standouts (I once commented on the japchae and the owner exclaimed that they were selling too much of it)." - Arnold Myint

We ordered a variety of dishes, and every single one was excellent. The bibimbap and stew, in particular, were generously portioned with plenty of fresh ingredients and perfectly seasoned. Just like in a Korean restaurant, they served ten different side dishes, and you could even get one free refill. Highly recommended!

We came here for Mother's Day lunch. The food was really good. They serve 10 side dishes! This is the first time I see that many side dishes. The people who work there are very nice and accommodating. We really liked the place. Planning to come back.

Being from Hawaii and having visited South Korea many times, I am very picky about my Korean BBQ. This place is by far, the best one in the SF Bay Area. Kalbi is charged perfectly and served on a sizzling cast iron platter. Veggie pancake is perfectly cooked. Beef tofu soup is flavorful and delicious. What no other restaurant can match is the free japchae and variety of banchan (side dishes). Kimchi cucumber, spicy tiny fish, spinach and traditional kimchi cabbage are all awesome.

Great service and food! The portions are more than enough. The staff were kind and attentive. The food also came out fast. I had beef galbi, pork galbi and seafood tofu soup. It had the fire grilled flavour in the meat which is hard to come by these days. They also had good variety selection of side dishes (banchan). Plenty of seating for large groups as well. Would definitely come by again!

We ordered the Kalbi and the chicken Bibimbap — both were excellent. The rice at the bottom of the Bibimbap was perfectly crispy, adding great texture. Banchan side dishes are the Best!!!! Flavors were well-balanced and not overly spicy, which we appreciated. The service was also fantastic — the staff checked on us regularly and made us feel really welcome. The only downside was the restroom; it could definitely use some attention in terms of cleanliness. Otherwise, a great dining experience overall!

I can't believe I haven't done a review for this spot. I have been coming here for ~20 years, through several ownership changes. The quality of the food is always excellent. The portion sizes have changed, some bigger, some smaller, but nothing that would make you upset. The banchan is always fresh and delicious with the staples and some changes here and there throughout the year. We use to come almost every week, until we moved, but we still come to get yummy Korean food. This spot is still my favorite! Get the mul nagmeon, it's the best in the Bay Area!

This restaurant is absolutely fantastic! Even when compared to the food I’ve had in Korea, it’s outstanding. My friends, who aren’t Korean, also enjoyed the meal very much. If you’re looking to explore a variety of authentic Korean dishes, I highly recommend this place!

We ordered here seafood fried rice and dduk bok gi. They were good. The banchan were superb. There were lot of side dishes. Among them I specially loved glass noodles which was good by itself and tasted even more better when I mixed it with the dduk bok gi's sauce. Their service was very good, it's not like other Korean restaurants. They were very friendly.
