Very disappointing! We craved some fried Yaki Mundu and ordered the 8 piece. It smelled so good. Yet, when we bit into each piece, the result was a fried pastry filled with air and 1/2 teaspoon of a tasteless mush! How awful, disgusting, and very disappointing!

Ordered our food from the walk up window. Store was only open for take-out. Extremely friendly and polite. Ordered from menu and was very surprised by the portions. I ordered a few sides and worried they’d be small portions. Delightfully impressed. The sides felt like they weighed one pound each. I included some pictures. A large portion of Bibimbap was served. Also ordered kimbap, and we received two dozen pieces. Our yakimandu was just as great. Excellent pricing for the portions and quality of the food. Very fresh. Happy with our visit.

Well, after checking Google reviews, this joint came out on top. Your in the Hood for crud sakes. Korean food is second nature. Camp Carroll 93/95. I luv me some authentic food. Good points... The food is very good. The kimchi was very fresh and tangy, spare ribs were perfect. Issue. I paid $42.00 but only got half of what I ordered. Guess thats my bad for not checking my bag before departing the restaurant. They shorted me 2 items. Not pleased and will not return. You must order from a window then wait outside till your order is ready due to the commie flu. Bottom line. CHECK YOUR ORDER. Plotted. Scouts Out

Delicious Korean GOODNESS! Don't overlook this place! Inside appearance is dull and physical location is cramped but you will shut your eyes, forget all that, and think you are in heaven once you've tasted a dish! Food is ALWAYS made fresh upon order, authentic, and makes you want to take a nice nap afterwards! A physical makeover and commercial advertisement would definitely boost their business 100%.

We've been patrons of this restaurant for many years but as of today, I am deleting them from my contacts. The yaki mandu was horrible. The best way to describe it is a big empty wonton with about ½ teaspoon of some kind of mushy substance that we had no idea what it was. The quality of the food has seriously declined.

It was a bit warm inside, not sure if the AC was broke, they need to rectify that... this is Texas.. But that bibimbap was AWESOME! A wifi connection wouldnt hurt either.

Stopped by for lunch and it was delicious (had the bulgogi and japchae). They make it when you order so just be ready to wait a little bit. I’ll be back!

Man I've held out on this review for as long as I could. I've frequented this restaurant for over a decade and in the last 3 years it's just been slowly declining but today took the cake. Bim Bim bop was just ok but the egg rolls that are half the cost of a meal were hollow. These economical choices are what drive businesses under and I hope they grab the wheel before it's too late

Very good food. Spicy pork and spicy chicken are my favorites along with yellow or white radish kimchee. The inside is not open for dining but the take out window is convenient. Love this place have been coming here for over 20 years. Best Korean food in Texas. Highly recommend. Also supporting local family owned business when you come. Posting the menu.

Dis my go-to spot for Korean take out. First time I pulled up I ordered Gal Bi and Bi Bim Bap. I decided to mix the Gal Bi with the Bi Bim Bap & I finished it without a single grain of rice left. If you want good food with good portions come here. Yo big back will be satisfied fo sure. Owner will let you know when yo food is ready mine took less than 15 minutes for the Kalbi & Bi Bim Bap to-go. Bean paste soup was better than O Mart for all I kno. Menu is located in the photos if you trynna check it out. Dine in is not available, "Til Further Notice". So, can't really say anything about ambiance other than try to reverse park so when you exit it'll be much easier trust me.

This is a great little hole in the wall made from authentic Koreans! I absolutely love their food and drive 30 minutes to get it from Belton. Sad to see that their dine in is no longer available but the drive thru and take out is!!

This place has been my favorite Korean Restaurant for 2 decades! Family recipes are LEGENDARY. Unmatched from the competition. I've been coming there for years, my only issue is that they closed there dining area, it's to - go only. I'll always be loyal to them but, I come from over 50 miles away to come eat here when visiting family in town, it would be great to eat inside like I used to for decades. I'd pay $5 extra for my food to eat inside because it's THAT GOOD! Don't lose loyal customers over it! Adapt to the times and make it work. Love you Guys!

Very disappointed to see that they are take out only. I saw they were open and invited my wife to meet me for lunch at an old staple from previous Fort Hood tours...called her and told her to not bother after seeing the sign on the door "take out only". Used to love this place, but you should be able to open up the dining room at this point. I'll be on the search for another go to Korean restaurant...

I have to leave an updated review. My normal spot I go to has been lacking consistency on this soup. Korean Kitchen has always been consistent with the dishes I normally order. It was a rainy day today so I had to have this soup and ordered it extra spicy. The soup was amazing! Full of flavor and spice as requested. The server was pleasant and they always have barley tea for me. Thank you for an amazing visit!

Food is always great they make it once you order the portions are good. My favorite is the bulgogi with rice, whenever I am in Killeen I always make sure to stop and get Korean Kitchen they are the best !!

The place made Kimbap which is hard to find. The serving sizes were huge which was a pleasant surprise. The parking area is a little hard to pull out of but otherwise very pleasant experience.

In the Seventies when this place first opened I was in high school. The place was ran by a sweet husband / wife team that I learned to know very well since this was the first time I had food other than the standard central Texas Chicken Fried Steak, mashed potatoes and green beans or Tex Mex at the El Acapulco. This place blew my sixteen year old mind and started me on my foodie trail I find myself on today. I mean, c'mon on - Bulgogi, Ban Chan, and that crazy garlic fried chicken! My GAWD wasn't it FANTASTIC!? It expanded my horizons overnight. Back in the day, they would chop it down into finger bite pieces and fry it to a golden crust with tons of garlic flavor. I turned my family (parents and sisters - I was sixteen) on to it and we ate there, by take out order, three days a week for about five years. I would call in my order, and soon pick up boxes and boxes of food per trip. To make the order all I had to do was call and say: Hello, this is Ron. This is not a review of the present restaurant (although it is still quite good) but a shout out to the original owners that if they are still around, I want to hear from them. Tell them its Ron.

Looked up the reviews and decided to eat here while in town. Food was very good, service not bad, just no signs on where to order (sliding window left of the doors). Would have liked to eat in but you know covid...

If you want good home cooking Korean food, this is your place! I've never been disappointed with my orders here. We consistently order the Bibim Bap, Bulgogi, and Galbi plates, as well as the Yakimandu. The restaurant isn't located in the best part of town, and it's definitely a hole-in-the-wall, but this is always our go-to place for Korean comfort food.

My husband and I just moved to Killeen from Houston and I was craving Korean food. We decided to check this place out based on reviews/photos. I'm originally from NY and pretty picky about my Korean food but this place did not disappoint! The food here is legit! We had the Boolgogi and Bi Bem bop, which was delicious!!! This will not be the last time we go. I HIGHLY recommend this Korean food. FYI- the guy at the window only spoke Korean so I showed him the yelp food photos of what I wanted which made it easier to order. Also, no dine in at the moment r/t Covid so order at the window and wait in your car.

In Killeen on a Saturday afternoon, why not check out something highly recommended in the area? Utilizing Yelp's search I found Korean Kitchen to have favorable reviews, and that sounded optimal so I found them located on busy Veterans Memorial Blvd. I haven't had good Korean food in a while so I was looking forward to this experience. Parking is very limited, probably 5-6 spaces, I walked in and was greeted by one of the owners, he was very nice, warm and friendly and seated me w/ a menu. He got me water and I immediately put in an order for those garlic chicken wings since many have recommended them, I will have to give them a shot. I love bulgogi, kal-bee, and spicy chicken, but on this visit I wanted to try something new. I recalled someone on Yelp mentioning a spicy noodle dish called "Naeng Myun" that was really good and well priced at $8.95. The lady came out from the back to take my remaining order, we talked about the 2 different kinds of naeng myun, one spicy w/ no broth, one not spicy w/ a broth, I opted for the spicy version. She was hesitant to commit to taking my order and kept explaining to me what the dish entailed - - buckwheat noodles that were thin and chewy and spicy, almost like I wasn't sure what I was getting into. I told her I knew noodles and it's all good so hit me up. She directs me to the bulgogi dishes and combination, saying these are popular and the reason why people come here, and I tell her I'm sure it's good but I want something different, so she finally takes my order. I think this is what Mike I. meant when he said (in his review) that the restaurant tells you what to eat and there doesn't seem to be freedom to get what you want - - I think I can certainly relate. The wings came out piping hot and were very good, lots of garlic flavor, no dipping sauce but I do recommend them. My naeng myun dish was very good, they gave me a spicy sauce to top it off along w/ a broth. It was tasty, bits of beef and some veggies, loved the spicy sauce and the cold noodles hit the spot. Since I had a breakfast taco earlier in the day at work I could only manage to eat 3 wings and a few bites of the noodles, and I didn't want to drive back to Austin on an overloaded stomach. I asked her for a box and her suspicious senses show up again - - she glances over my table and says "you didn't hardly eat anything" - - as if I should have eaten everything..? I explained how I needed to get back and wanted to save it for later, so she grabbed a box. Quite odd if you ask me, every customer is different so it's usually best not to judge and just satisfy their request. On the flip side the guy was very nice, open, easy to deal with, and he is eager to please you. It would have been a perfect 5-stars if not for the odd interaction(s), and they also set the A/C too high (76 degrees) as it was too warm inside and felt sticky. They probably think saving a few dollars a month on the electric bill pays in the long run...but ehhhh. I think 72-73 would have made the place much more comfortable. I can't say I'll go out of my way to go back to this place when I return to Killeen, unless I'm really craving Korean food or those garlic wings or want to try their bulgogi. But my food was really good and he was very courteous and professional, just fight and claw your way through her if you opt to deviate from the norm and order something different - - she'll eventually give in.

Not open to the public. To go food only. The food is decent but there are countless restaurants in killeen that will give you the same quality of food and also provide you with a place to sit and eat it. This food should cost half as much if you have to take it and eat it elsewhere.

I love Korean Kitchen! This is the best Korean place in Killeen, hands down. Any time I come home to visit I make sure to eat here and I honestly haven't found a Korean place outside of Killeen that I love as much as this place. Their bulgogi is perfect, they serve the most delicious side dishes every time, and their gimbap is always outstanding. Make sure you get there earlier in the day if you want any gimbap because it sells out quick. I've eaten here with family and gotten take out and I have never had anything complaints. My mom and aunt love it just as much as I do. If you're looking for authentic, delicious Korean food this is the place to go.

I've been here a few times so, when we drove to Killeen for some errands on a rainy day, we decided to stop here. We shared a fried Yakimandu, which seemed very popular here as we saw some other tables order it too :) I had bulgogi with rice. Normally when I order bulgogi in other restaurants, it comes with lots of onions and carrots. But, here it was all meat so no complaints there. It was tasty too.

Killeen is known for its abundance of Korean restaurants. I'm just not sure how this one has 4 stars. I'm giving 2 because the gimbap and bibimbap were the only things we really enjoyed. FYI: If you order bulgogi fried rice, its bulgogi with rice. Not actual fried rice. I'm thinking they just put the rice in some oil and called it good. Not even fried with an egg. Omurice and japchae had no flavor. I'd recommend to try other restaurants with reasonable prices, portions, and quality like Kimchi Hana.

It was such a great first experience here! The place looked busy with all the cars out in front but when we walked in there were only three tables with people. We were greeted with a hello and told they would be right with us. We found our own seats and waited for menus. It took a few minutes after the menus for the waitress to come back to take our orders but I wasn't ready just yet so she took our drink orders. When we did order, it took a while for the order to come out but the taste of everything was well worth it! Ordered the yakimandoo, bulgogi and sweet and sour shrimp with rice. I didn't know what to expect with the yakimandoo, but it was delicious reminded me of an egg roll. The bulgogi was just perfect, the meat was nice and tender in small pieces which made it easier for my daughter! And the shrimp, the sauce was just sooooo good and the vegetables were tasty as well. I loved the sides! It's the one thing I always look forward too when eating Korean!

The people working there are extremely kind and hard working. The food was pretty good. I ordered the soft tofu soup and also vegetarian kimbap. The vegetarian kimbap was a bit too salty for my preference, but it was still pretty good. The soft tofu soup was better, but some of the seafood was a bit blah. It wasn't fresh. However the soup base was rather delicious. I would definitely come again.

It's really good. Definitely authentic taste. I was surprised at how delicious the shrimp fried rice and bulgogi were. Definitely worth trying. I'll be back for more.

My husband and I came here for the first time on Valentine's day. I've been craving for Korean food and decided on this place because of the great Yelp reviews. We arrived here before 5pm and and the dining area was empty but the phone kept ringing left and right. I guess most patrons of this restaurant do take out instead of dine in. We ordered and got our food 10-15 minutes after ordering. The side dishes were delicious and just enough spice to it. I ordered tofu soup my husband ordered the spicy chicken. Both entrees were $10 and generous in size. My tofu soup came out bubbly hot and tasty. Our waters did not get refilled but besides that the service was good. I would definitely come back here instead of trying another Korean restaurant when I'm craving for Korean food.

This is a small korean mom-and-pop joint in the middle of nowhere killeen, tx. I ordered the spicy skate for something traditional and the Galbi for something popular. Both were on the mark perfectly average tastin. Nothing bad nothing especially good. I can't give this place more than 3 stars cause 1. Galbi was pretty tough to chew. 2. No ban chan at all. 3. Very little skate. Menu was limited but again this is killeen so I don't hold it against them.

So I really hate scoring low because I know some of these restaurants work really hard to survive in this market, but I have to keep it real. First let me say the one and almost looked like only lady working this evening was very cordial and nice. I'm sorry for the 2 stars, and for being so nice I will not use the 45 minutes we waited for our food against you in my rating. Now, I had the garlic chicken, which for $8, was more like some deep fried batter salt chicken. It was not salty, as a matter of fact it was not anything, no flavor, just barely a hint of salt. The rainbow rice... you think a rice with pork, chicken and shrimp would have some good flavor, well, it seems like it all canceled each other out and the flavor was gone. My wife had the bulgogi, and was not impressed at all, and she was hungry. So, my rating is strictly base on flavor, and I really don't plan on returning here.

Had late lunch here one day last week about 4pm. Not much to the interior. Reminded me of an old diner We had two orders of bipbimpap (think it was like cold noddles in hot stone pot on the menu) an appetizers and water. Wasn't the best bipbimpap we have had. This one had line 1 1/2-2 cups of rice, 1/4 cup of bulgogi (if that much), a few vegetables and the egg. We could only get extra meat if we ordered it initially. Not sure how we would know to do that since we expected slightly more with the initial order. Grand total was like $35 including tax. A bit much we thought, but that's what I get for not looking at the prices on the menu. We were thinking closer to $21 without tip. Will likely not be returning here but you may like it. bon appétit

Surprised to find an authentic Korean restaurant in Killeen! I came from a place that is surrounded by Korean restaurants! And this one is really not bad! The waitress was very attentive and didn't wait too ling for the food. It looks like a family run business run by a Korean family, no wonder the food is so authentic! We ordered rice in stone pot and tofu soup with pork and rice. Not too many Korean restaurants can make very good rice in stone pot, and I think this one did a good job! If you are around Killeen, feel like Korean food and haven't tried this one yet, you should! They even have a to-go window!

Great food and very clean place, authentic food just like in Korea. Staff and servers are pleasant. We didn't ask for it but the staff brought out a bowl and spoon of rice for my child to eat. Very quite and family friendly. They also have Togo food if you are in a hurry. L

Nah dawg, this aint it. The bulgogi was very, very, bland and sparse. It looked and tasted like if Taco Bell decided to enter the Asian food market and used left over taco "meat" to make authentic Bulgogi. 3 starts for the friendly staff and clean restaurant.

Waitress was really awesome and nice. The chef was also very nice and came out to check and made sure we enjoyed our food. The food was really good my favorite was the yaki mandoo. I also recommend the spider roll.

I went here because i saw the ratings a 4 star. Must be good. No not even close i ordered sweet and sour pork here. They fry the pork, a shred of pork with alot of breading. The sauce was very sour my lips went pale after trying to finish my money. You basically ordering fried flour with some pork and vegetables with vinegar sauce. My friend order spicy pork and that was not good too it was salty. Dont dine in too take out i feels your in solitary confinement in.

I understand COVID-19, being I have worked as a Server, to help be doing college! Great Service will go further than your name. The server was not friendly. It took while to get service. He didn't ask to refill my water. More interested in getting me the check. The food was okay, looked different from the picture. For the cost of the food. The service needs to be better.

I feel that a 5 star rating is an insult 2 a 10 star restaurant. Family owned, one receives the BEST food & service. Ambience is great but the wonderful coming from the kitchen distracts me. Very clean everywhere! U can even see the dishes being cooked in a very clean kitchen. I cannot ( not don't wish 2) eat greasy food & their food has never triggered any allergies. (Thank goodness I can eat nuts!) Can't say enough good about this place!

Korean Kitchen is nestled between two shady windowless motels (where prostitutes go to die) in downtown Killeen. Hey, there's a reason why its still around when all surrounding business is long gone. The service at KK is fantastic and the waitress and chef were very nice from the moment you come in to greet you until when you leave. Here's a breakdown of what we ordered: - Garlic Fried Chicken Wings: amazing made-to-order that comes out super hot and crispy. Very good and cheap ($6.95)! - Bulgogi w/ rice ($10): This is a marinated shaved rib-eye steak served with rice. The beef is very tender and my husband loved it but I thought the marinade was a little too sweet. - Short ribs w/ rice (kalbi) ($16): Excellent!!! The short ribs was so well marinated and tender. I generally can't eat the meat between the bones because its so chewy but they made it so tender that I ate the meat clean off the bone. Yum! - Their kim chee was excellent and I enjoyed every dish unlike most places where only one or two items is edible. So dinner for two for $30 something which is pretty good for Korean BBQ. I recommend this place to everyone in Killeen if you're interested in a delicious no-fuss authentic Korean BBQ. They also have various soups which I look forward to trying next time.

Nom nom nom! It is quite suspicious looking, I know. The location kept me from this jewel for YEARS! But NO MORE! And don't let it scare you either! The location keeps the prices below market price! I wish I was there right now... (daydream)

Was on TDY in the region from Colorado and had dinner at the Korean Kitchen. I myself am Korean, so I happen to know a thing or two about good Korean food. My mom, not trying to brag, makes some of the best. I've also trekked the Pacific Ocean and experienced some of the most orgasmic inducing Korean dishes at its source.... Back to being serious.. with all being said, it's unfair to judge this restaurant comparing to some of the places I've been or some of the dishes I've eaten at home. I will say however that within the region, this is pretty authentic stuff. This is more the Korean food one would get at home or at one of the street vendors. The food is quick, easy on the stomach, and delicious for the palettes. Simply put, this is the simple good stuff. The bulgogi and the kalbi dishes are pretty good, but those dishes are like the hamburgers and pizzas of the American restaurants. It's hard to fudge up. I highly recommend you be little venturous and try some other dishes. The Japchai Bap (Seasoned Buckwheat Noodles with Rice) or the Sweet and Sour Shrimp (the Korean version of the latter uses a lighter batter than of the Chinese Sweet and Sour Shrimp) were both great. The Koreans call it Tang-Su-Yuk. Another dish I happened to try was the Omelittrice. Think of it as an Omelet, flipped and filled with vegetables and rice. It's also served with ketchup. The dduck-kup-bbii, rice cake covered with spicy broth, was like my mom made it. It's pretty good. The restaurant ambiance is quiet and clean. The service was pretty good as well. I rather not comment on the outside as I nearly avoided the place for the fear of my life. It's on the East Business 190 if you know the area. Back to the rating, I will give the restaurant a 3 stars rating, which is good, but I would not go out of my way to drive the distance and eat here say if I was in Austin. Nor would I say to my wife "you know, there was a great Korean restaurant back in Killeen..." It wasn't memorable if you catch my drift. However, if you live here or are stationed here, please stop by because the food is good.

How dare they serve shoe leather galbi! To top it off it was bland, they should be ashamed of themselves to serve cabbage with watered down kim chee base and call it kim chee. This place is a real joke. The only thing that taste korean was the radish cube. Place was clean and service was quick. Sorry won't be returning too many choices and this isn't one of them.

Service is still very friendly and hospitable. There isn't too much for Korean cuisine in the Killeen area, so this would be the place to go. The kimbap order is ginormous, so it could easily be shared by 3 people. Since it was a brisk day in Texas, I ordered the Kimchijigae since I have a huge penchant for hot soups. I mentioned that my previous experiences with their Kimchijigae was that it was too sweet. The waitress was extremely obliging and said it was likely due to the onions used in the soup. (I had previously incorrectly believed it to be from the marinated meat.) To cut back on the sweetness, she said she'd tell the cook to use less onion. The soup came out spicy and boiling, but I was sad to see it stingy with meat - a trend I've noticed when we ordered their kimchi fried rice too in the past. The banchan was also plentiful and happily replenished if requested. The galbi was tasty as usual. The surprise hit of our evening was the Hot Stone Pot, not listed, but only pictured in their menu. Depending on the items, I sometimes find a certain robustness to be lacking in certain dishes. Nevertheless, it's still decent food.

There come those times in life when you experience something truly tremendous. An experience so unforgettably fulfilling that you often have to take a step back and understand that in this very moment, what you're experiencing is indeed existential and is indeed happening. It took two trips to Korean Kitchen to affirm that my year of dining in Killeen was no less painful, yet ultimately as welcome as PETA's unconditional fondness for foie gras. Let me explain. Foie gras is fattened goose or duck liver. It is without a shadow of a doubt among the world's finest delicacies. It's buttery, creamy, rich and filled with an unprecedented amount of flavor. The process in which foie gras is created, however, is far less romantic. Ducks and geese are force fed meals three times a day through a tube known as a gavage, in which they ultimately become lethargic and pray to the avian gods for a more merciful death. My dining experience in Killeen has been very-much-so identical. I've eaten at dozens of restaurants over the course of the last year, and the vast majority of them offered dishes that were not only unpalatable, but inevitably had me begging for mercy. Two weeks before my move to Denver, I open the door to Korean Kitchen. Korean Kitchen is quaint, quiet, ran by a small staff, and offers limited seating. It is, in hopes of not setting abound any pejorative connotations, a Korean hole-in-the-wall. Its menu is vast, offering a multitude of Korean dishes that while not entirely traditional, do a pretty damn good job of replicating what can be found in many Korean-American homes. The food here caters primarily to the soldiers who have been at one point or another stationed in Seoul, and it's not hard to tell given that bulgogi is advertised at the top of the menu. My first experience here was on par with most Korean food I've had in the area, and I wasn't particularly impressed, although I surely wasn't disappointed. The only, and I mean exclusively only reason I came back this evening was because of the Banchan. For the first time in my life, I had experienced kimchi precisely the way that it was meant to be experienced. It was clean, it was sour, it had a little bit of bite, and a whole lot of flavor. It's not that the kimchi or other banchan were so mind blowing that I just wanted to come back for small side dishes, it's that they were served in the most palatable manner I have ever experienced. As I was leaving the restaurant, the [presumably] owner asked me how my meal was and I told him I enjoyed it, but that the banchan, and more specifically, the kimchi was exquisite, to which he told me "come back tomorrow for the kimchi soup." I did. I went to the same restaurant twice in the same week, one day after the other. This was the best decision I've made in Killeen since I decided to leave. The kimchi soup was absolutely spectacular. It was on par with one of the best meals I've ever had in my life. I've been to Barley Swine in Austin, The French Laundry in Yountville, and countless other world renowned, absolutely amazing gastronomical establishments. I'm not saying that the kimchi soup is on par with Chef Keller's kitchen, I'm simply implying that this is a dish not to be missed. The soup is unmistakably an eastern homage to Polish bigos. The soup was sour, flavorful, spicy, aromatic, a textural roller coaster. The cabbage was crunchy, the beef was chewy, the tofu didn't melt despite the fact that when the soup was delivered it was boiling as furiously as your failure-of-a-man high school gym teacher. And it was clean. Unmistakably clean. Not like most kimchi that's served in America - "Straight from the jar to your plate!" - a motto subscribed to by only the foulest of Korean establishments in America. No, no, Korean Kitchen was a god-send. It is a bastion for hope, gastronomical development, and unadulterated bliss in an otherwise desolate eatery hell hole surrounded by one rotting establishment to the next. Korean Kitchen embellishes everything that makes food and dining experiences not just great, but extravagant. The staff is incredibly friendly, insightful, and understands most of their customer's pallets. If for some reason you're ever banished to the god-foresaken wasteland that is Killeen,do not, by any means, miss an opportunity to eat at Korean Kitchen. 10/10 - Would rant again.

Korean Kitchen has great food. Portions are good, but I have had larger portions from other restaurants for actually less money. I usually get their ojingeo bokkeum (stir-fried squid in spicy sauce with vegetables) and it comes with steamed white rice and of course banchan (side dishes). When I ordered this for take out, however, it did not come with banchan, just steamed white rice. That was a little disappointing. I always look forward to the banchan, no matter what it is. I have also tried their bulgogi and tteok bokki, which are these little rice cakes in a spicy sauce. The food is always great and fresh. Don't let the location scare you, though. It literally looks like a hole-in-the-wall but sometimes those places are the best.

Basically, in food and decor, it's a KATUSA snack bar. For all you non-military types, KATUSA stands for Korean Augmentees to The U.S. Army. These young Korean soldiers (or KATUSAs) serve on US Bases in Korea, usually doing administrative and/or menial-type work. On those US bases, the US has set up these little Diners, aka KATUSA snack bars, to serve home cooking to the Koreans. For them, it is dirt cheap. For US soldiers who mosey in for some authentic Korean food, the price is much more than what the KATUSAs pay, but still very reasonable. If you liked the KATUSA snack bar food, or like authentic, nothing special, Korean home cooking, you'll like it her. Service sometimes is slow. Otherwise, I would probably give it 4 stars. Enjoy!

This place is amazing. I have been coming here for over twenty years. The service is the friendliest around. The portions are HUGE. The food is always wonderful. You won't go hungry waiting on the food. The turn around time is short. I am very picky about cleanliness. This place is spotless. It would be a tragedy if this place did not exist!!

I really like this place, the bulgogi is really good. The yakimondoo is ok, but not especially authentic. My biggest reason for not giving 5 stars is that this last time I ordered food I was very disappointed not to have plain old kimchi. I only received cucumber and pickled raddish, the lack of kimchi takes away from the flavor of the food. It was truly missed.

One of my favorite places for Korean food! Service very friendly and fast! I used to go here when I lived in the area and I still do when I visiting with my old friends who still live here. If you are looking for a great Korean meal this is the place to eat!

Not bad korean food. Reminds me of the good ol days when I used to come here all the time when I was a kid. In my opinion, this is the best naeng myun ever... even compared to all the Dallas restaurants. Only $8.95. The garlic chicken left my mouth all watery(6.95 for 6 wings). This is a mom and pop shop. Very good service. I will come back here the next time I go to Killeen.

I have been here twice and both times we had a wonderful experience. The customer service is outstanding and the quality of the food is superb. The first time we went, we ordered the kimchi and won-ton soups which were delicious. We also had a wonderful bulgogi which had a smoky sweet flavor. They were absolutely delicious as well as the side dishes they were served with. The portions are more than generous and I would say that it is an excellent value. The second time we had the yaki mandu for the appetizer which was very good. Our entrees were galbi ribs, kimchi pork, and the ramen soup which were all absolutely spectacular. The flavors were outstanding! If you haven't been to this restaurant, I would strongly recommend this place if you are looking for some delicious Korean food. I would give it 6 stars if I could as I will be going back for more!

Great service. Reminded me of my time at Kunsan. Beef ribs really good and Yakima mando was excellent. I'll be back.

Decided I needed to have my Korean Fix while in town and decided to try this place from other reviews. Had the combo plate which cured my need for Yaki Man Do but the spicy pork was average at best. The sides were on point and I liked the selection (6-7 and it was just me)! Should have gone with the Bi Bem Bop or Jop Chae Bop which I will try next time. Wish I could have given a 3.5 but that isn't an option. Service was good and responsive even when the place started to fill up a bit.
