Authentic cuisine that has a subtle sense of home. This food was so good. I have been eating here for over 15 years and it is still simply amazing.

Google
Super cute hole in the wall style location. Service was friendly & quick! Food was scrumptious, and the refills on the banchan were awesome. I got the stone bibimbap combo with tofu stew & my friend got the beef bulgogi combo with kimchi stew. 5/5 will come again! Flavors were on point, not too sweet nor too salty, and the pricing was absolutely decent for the current economy!

Went here on a Thursday evening around 7:30 PM - we were greeted and seated right away. I used the bathroom quickly (very clean btw) and by the time I came out, the food followed quickly after. It was seriously delicious- hot and flavorful. We were even given additional banchan! The service was warm and friendly - and as I finished my bites, I was like wow, this is better than Nak Won - no shade to them, I just thought they were really good but this food is seriously great. Excited to come back & bring people here!

This place is amazing. It's like being in Seoul with the local feel and authenticity. Of course the food is really good. It's hard to stop praising this place.

Google
I used to love this restaurant, I came here a lot and the staff were nice. Today I came in with my parents and my 2yr-old son, we were directed to a six-people table (only one group eating inside). My dad already had dinner so I tried to order just a bibimbap & a beef soup. However right after I ordered, the woman who served us rolled her eye, shake her head and impatiently started complaining we ordered too little. I told her if she did not want to take the order I would just leave, and she literally let us leave. So disappointed about the experience, first time being “kicked out” of a restaurant just because I didn’t order as much as the waitress wanted. Unfortunately I will never eat here again.

Google
The food was undeniably delicious and authentically prepared, accompanied by friendly staff. However, the dining environment had two flies flying around, and the waiting time was longer than expected due to limited staff. If you're a fan of Korean cuisine and can overlook these issues, give this restaurant a try for its delicious flavors and friendly service.

Google
I really wanted to like this place based on the menu offerings, but it was WAAAAAAAY TOO SALTY. The side dishes were fine, the seafood pancake was fine, the bibimbap was ok, but both soups were soooo salty that I could not finish the broth. The cabbage kalbi soup as a lunch menu item had barely any veggies/meat, and the broth was just way too salty. Normally, I love broth and I would drink everything (and not eat any rice) but here, I could only take a few spoonfuls and I had to eat the rice to even out the saltiness. To give some credit, the seafood pancake was on the decent side compared to other places I've tried as it had a bit more seafood... but for $20 I wasn't blown away or anything. Again, I really wanted to like this place but we would probably not return. Friendly service but with only one server, we were never checked on during our meal (which is fine bc we didn't need anything).

Google
Okay, my experience was more than just amazing! They have no clue how suitable, high-quality food and excellent service they provided. I would stop eating my wife's food and live in the restaurant. I ate the kalbi ribs, and I can’t explain how perfect they were... the meat was cooked to perfection. -I’ll return for sure! (I don't usually review but I had too!)

Yelp
3.5 stars. They still serve some of my favorite Korean dishes, but prices have been creeping up while portions keep shrinking. Not sure if I'll be back. Note: the picture was from some time ago.

Yelp
We continue to love this Korean spot, definitely one of our favorites. It's such a hidden gem. Their servers are the kindest each time we go and they always make sure to check in with us. Our food always comes out so impressively quick and fresh. Came on a Wednesday night and it felt like we were the only ones who dined in. We love the authentic feel when dining in because of the ambience of the restaurant. We got kalbi ribs, spicy chicken with cheese, and meat jun (meat pancake). Everything was delicious, including their banchan. We'll continue to support this local business.

Yelp
Extremely well executed dishes - had 3 lunch specials and the bossam ( I've had it before and didn't like it - this was so juicy, tender, with perfect accompaniments)... the kalbi was fire, spicy pork delicious, the tofu stew( soup?) great - and the banchan isn't that generic, stuff other places put out but made with care - you get the sense that ajima is truly in the kitchen cooking ... Lunch special was great for us ( smaller portions $14-$16 a dish) to get a good assortment of dishes for the table ( 3 of us) to eat family style. Didn't get a picture of the soondubu ( soup) - it was a drive for us to get there from east side Portland to take an out of town guest - so worth it!

Yelp
Is this an inflation impact or just greed? I have been a regular customer since relocating from Hawaii six years ago. Actually going to this place since 2010 during visits. Just ordered $100 worth of food, The banchan given was barely enough to feed one person. What is the reason? It should be a part of the already high price charged for each dish. We need to find another restaurant to frequent.

Yelp
This is my favirite korean spot in town! The people are really nice and the restaurant is clean and cozy. Not to mention all the food is super fresh and delicious, with equally great banchan (the little side dishes, for the un-initiated), which is both endless and complimentary here! My personal favorite dishes are the pork and squid stirfry, which has fresh squid and super tender and meaty porkbelly, as well as the beef pancake, which is very tender and delicious! Their soups are great as well and have very tender braised meat. I'd also reccomend their very crispy seafood or kimchi pancakes (very different from the beef one)! The only item I would avoid is the spicy chicken, as it uses breast and is a little dry, but everything else is really phenominal! I'd reccomend this spot to any and everyone in the area, it's a must try in my book!

Yelp
Let's talk solid cooked by your aunt food - this place ambiance wise will make it seem questionable. But I swear, it's worth it. If you're easily icked out by ambiance then get to-go. This place is akin to those dodgey Korean restaurants seen in k-dramas where they slang back soju after a long day. It's located next to a seedy Korean kareoke bar. The auntie working up front might be busy when you enter, but she's very attentive once you sit down. We loved the combo options here for food, for $28 each we got an entree and it came with a soondonu (soft tofu) soup. You can also pick a diff soup. She also served side dishes with this. We were so friggin stuffed!! Fried mackerel is deep fried, and for bibimbap you can upgrade to dolsot bibimbap (hot stone bowl) for an extra $4. She asked if we wanted more side dishes about 2 times. I would return as the flavors here are super solid but don't expect regular restaurant service? Its very mom and pop but flavors are worth the sit.

Yelp
Four stars for the sweet absolute kind workers and owners!!! Four stars for the attention, careful and thoughtfulness of the servers!! Only my second visit and loving the hole in the wall vibe with super dated interior.....Korean old songs playing in the background, definitely giving me old skool Korean vibes!! Four stars!!! As mentioned only tried twice and with such a huge menu and specials....Im starting with 4 STARS!! But definitely recommended because you can't hate the $28 special combos!!! Trust me I've looked and compared but nothing like this thus far in my failed search efforts, so it's a welcomed addition to my personal Korean fix rotation!!! Thus far the Cold noodles with homemade stock was good enough and Kalbi fair amount with good marinade and tender! Sundubu chigae was ok but has potential? But cannot wait to try more menu items on my next visit?

Yelp
Koreana serves traditional and authentic Korean food. The restaurant difficult to find since there was very little signage to identify the location of the restaurant. We enjoyed the spicy pork and bulgogi beef offerings. The Jap Chae was also delicious. Service was fast, friendly and efficient.

Yelp
My partner took me here for a dinner and you quickly feel the friendly welcoming from the Korean ladies who worked there. The ambiance is warm, cozy in a rustic small shop. It's authentic for a Korean restaurant vibe like in Korea. I felt like i was in Korea when I was there. We ordered a few items.. I ordered a La rib combo with tofu stew. My partner ordered spicy ramen and gyoza. We waited about 15-20 minutes for our food while there was one table beside us. They brought out all the food at once. I tried the banchan and it was delicious. One of the better quality banchan I've had. The kimchi, bean sprouts, and gamja jorim (braised potatoes) were my favorites. When they brought out the entree food, I was quite disappointed for the portion size. There were probably 6 small pieces of ribs for $28. I think it's a bit overpriced for the portion but I do believe the quality is there. Everything tasted good. Ribs were tender. Tofu stew has a kick and flavorful so was the ramen. Overall the food was good.. but not sure if it's worth coming back :/

Yelp
I stopped by Koreana in Portland for dinner a couple of months ago. Overall, I'd give them 6.8/10: - Ox Tail Soup: 8/10: Hearty but expensive for the amount you get - Stir-Fry Squid with Pork Belly: 8.3/10: Good flavour, a bit less spicy than expected - B Bim Baab: 7.3/10: Lacked flavour, average in balancing the food/ingredients - Seafood Pancake: 3/10: Flavour was okay, variety of ingredients looked okay, but fairly inedible as it was really burnt

Yelp
I'm shocked by the one star reviews, even though they're not many of them. It's a little sus, maybe people don't want you to visit this place... This restaurant is immediately going on my best of the best for home style, delicious, comfortable, and friendly food and environment. I came in for lunch and was helped promptly, and my table was clean and ready to go- the people were incredibly friendly and ordering and receiving my food happened super fast. From the complimentary tea, to the small appetizers, and the combo I ordered- everything met my expectations savory and delicious stomach warming food.

Yelp
Wow, I've been sleeping on this spot for waaay too long. Was always a bit sketched out by the exterior of the place but after some research I convinced myself to give them a try and I couldn't be happier! The inside is cozy and rustic. They used a lot of wood and decors to mimick a Korean suburban home. The aunties working there couldn't be friendlier, tbh this might be the warmest service we've got at a Korean place in OR. They gave us time to look over the menu, ask questions, and constantly filling up our drinks and banchans. It's amazing. They offer pretty typical Korean items but a good variety and at more reasonable prices, especially at the portion that they give you. Plus, their food was AMAZING. It really felt like you've been invited to eat at a Korean's friend house and their mom is cooking. Everything tasted so homey and fresh, we couldn't help but devored everything we ordered. We got the Meat Pancake which were thin slices of meat battered in egg and fried; don't knock it until you've tried it. It's such a comfort food. The spicy sauce went so well with it too. Another thing we got was the Spicy Galbijjim. Definitely the pricier item on the menu and I would say it's a bit too overpriced for the pot of stew that we got but they did give us meaty pieces of short ribs. This was a bit different from other galbijjim that I've had. On the soupier side but the broth was tasty and slighty sweet. The meat was super tender and absorbed a lot of the flavors from the broth. Again, a very comforting dish especially on a cold day. Nothing beats yummy Korean dishes with a side of hot rice. This spot really surprised and won us over. They're definitely contending for the best Korean place we've been in OR. We shall be back!

Yelp
What a local gem! I'm so glad we decided to try this place. We visited on a Friday shortly after 5pm and there were only a couple other tables seated, so we basically had the place to ourselves but the vibe was energetic because they were steady preparing to go orders the entire time we were there. We were greeted immediately upon entering and promptly seated. We ordered the short ribs, japchae and bulgogi. Everything tasted great! So great that I didn't even get pictures of everything because I was too excited to eat! My favorite thing though was the kimchi. I had really been craving some good kimchi and I was not disappointed. I also loved the rest of the banchan - the broccoli, the cucumbers, the Mac salad, the bean sprouts, the sweet potatoes - it was all amazing and perfectly complimented the meat. And I just I love me some Korean short ribs with onions - yum. Seriously, this meal was incredible and my review isn't really doing it justice. Like I could easily have gone back the next day to eat it all over again. Service was great - fast, friendly, easy. Looking forward to my next visit!

Yusuf S.

Yelp
The food here makes you have been invited into one of the auntie's kitchens'! The japchae is always hot and beefy and the seafood pancake is very hearty as they don't skimp on seafood green onion or eggs. The seafood pancake sauce is S tier! Pro move; order the pancake extra crispy but be warned there will be some char which we like. The bulgogi (spicy chicken and beef) are our favorites with the lettuce and samjang (sorry for incorrect spelling) sauce (fermented soy bean paste). The wait staff is also awesome, guiding us to items we might like and bringing extra banchan and tea as we eat through the amazing food! The atmosphere is homey and comfortable. Come as you are and prepare to eat VERY good!
google avatar

Austin N.

Yelp
Great tasting Korean food and banchan. The one thing I love most about this restaurant is their hours. This restaurant seems to have the best operating hours while other Korean restaurants around the area are closed for lunch or only open during dinner time. The seafood pancake was one of my favorites! Very light and crisp, with a fried egg in the middle. It was a bit pricier than others but it was delicious! I also ordered the spicy pork with soft tofu soup. I thought the spicy pork was decent, a bit of spice and a bit of barbecue char to it. I added kimchi to the soft tofu soup and it was wonderful on a chilly day. Very flavorful broth that was very comforting and warm. Service was quite nice and friendly. They didn't check on us too often and let us enjoy the food; however, there is a button near the table to get their attention if needed.

Yelp
Delicious! I will be back for more! Two of my coworkers brought me here for an end of year thank you lunch and omg, it was so good. We had the beef pancakes and the pan fries dumplings. I wish there were more sake options (and alcoholic beverages in general), but the one I had was good. The service was good.

Yelp
After dinner recently, this hole-in-the-wall Korean place went up on my shortlist for tasty Korean food in Beaverton...it's also located next to karaoke - all the makings of a Korean night! Hot tea was brought to the table to warm throats and hands while deliberating over what to order for dinner. It was the first time we had tried these items here and we enjoyed everything - my fav was the spicy stir fry squid, but would reorder it all again! Between 4 hungry ladies, we had an overflowing table of: - Bossam plate: boiled marinated pork + lettuce wrap, raw garlic slices, jalapeños, pickled radish + ssamjang made largely from fermented bean paste, red pepper paste - Ojinguh Bbokkeum aka spicy Stir fried squid with cabbage & veggies - Budaejjigae aka Army stew but it's listed as Meat & Sausage stew for two on menu (it's set on top of a butane-fueled camp stove to cook ramen noodles & keep the soup bubbling) Choice of white rice or purple rice with beans + ban chan, and I especially appreciated the inclusion of the gondeurae (thistle?) greens which you usually don't see at restaurants. Other things: - Plenty of parking out front or in back (watch out for the one-way parking lot) - Entrance is easy-to-miss (on left of karaoke) - They only have a couple servers so be patient if they're busy, ask for a tea pot or water pitcher for the table to do your own refills I've done take-out a few times from here and it's not bad, but it's been awhile since I've eaten a meal at the restaurant and I highly recommend the latter, if you have time.

Yelp
Koreana came hiiighly recommended by a friend and honestly lived up to most of my expectations. I dropped by for an early dinner with a friend and honestly we had the whole place to ourselves! Woohoo~ We always over-order so we got kimchi pancakes, spicy rice cakes, and a stew each (yay for veggie soondubu!). The banchan was plenty and we definitely destroyed the cucumber side dish over and over :P They were not shy about refills and brought us a heaping plate the second time. The stews were great and the entire vibe of the restaurant was super homey and friendly. The kimchi pancake was good and the flavor of the spicy rice cakes was nice buuut my one qualm was that they used frozen rice cakes -- you could definitely tell because they legit crack when you freeze them. It took away from the texture I usually love but honestly small complaint. There is a pretty big parking lot so parking shouldn't be a problem and this place does a lot of to go orders too! Service was super friendly and I would definitely drop by again~

Yelp
The restaurant is pretty small with limited seating and while dining I've seen them turn away multiple parties. They're severely understaffed with two ladies running the orders, waiting on tables, clearing tables, and doing take out orders. When dining in, they will only stop by to bring you menu, take orders, bring food, and bring the check. I've been really spoiled with good Korean food in NYC, and unfortunately Koreana could not compare. We came as a party of 4 and each got one of the combo sets and the seafood pancake to share. Pancake was probably the best thing we ordered that meal with crispy edges and decent amount of seafood. I got a combo of bibim nangmyeon (spicy cold noodles - sauce was more sweet than spicy) and LA galbi.. but the galbi never came. Given the slow service we had all meal and I was pretty full from what we did get already, I was fine if they didn't put the order in. But of course it came up on the receipt, and after bringing it up to one of the servers she came back with a handwritten receipt... still with the same calculations including the galbi. After we pointed it out again, they finally came back with the corrected check. Wouldn't recommend dining in - prices are high, service is non-existent, food was mediocre. Maybe if you had a Korean food craving, Koreana comes to mind, stick with ordering for take out?
google avatar

Allan W.

Yelp
This was a great find for dinner while I was in town for the weekend. Very friendly service and the food was excellent! They do a good job with take-out if you will not be dining in. I would certainly come back if I am in the area again!
google avatar

Christina M.

Yelp
Food was amazing! Service was excellent! My grandma loves places that bring out all the sides and she doesn't have any near where she lives. This place was a huge hit for her and made her day! She wanted to go back the next day but they were closed. However, will bring her here next time she visits as many times as she wants. I will also be going back on my own and with friends.

Rayan R.

Yelp
The food was bust down Rollie avalanche. Ate ALL OF ITTTTT. The service was great and the ambiance was chill.

Anika M.

Yelp
Service: Extremely slow service and poor service or no service with expected tips. Food: It wasn't for the 4 star rating and deserved as well. It was failed every aspect of call the Korean food. Not to mention that over price and few bits of quantity without quality of meat. The Side dishes were totally mediocre and poorly done. Totally wasted day for trying and experiences.

Mochi B.

Yelp
Went 2 Koreana last Friday wit fam I liked the Kalbi and the Korean ambiance, and the nice waitress Oki (oh-day: Korean) food was OMG!!! fly swarmed our food. Served US fish cakes 4 FREE!!! I the Korean show that was playing on soooo authentic!!! (even Korean ads on da walls) :) had great time soooo stuffed at the end #

Yelp
This wasn't the best first impression we could've had. I had really high hopes coming here tonight. It's really clean inside and had a really homey feel to it. There were sounds of a busy kitchen and the scent of sesame oil was all throughout. The lady running the register, taking orders and serving was very welcoming. This confused me a bit because the overall service was not very good. We were seated immediately, as the place was about half full of patrons. The food seemed to take a bit long to come out, but we figured they might've been shortstaffed tonight. When everything finally arrived, it came all at once, which was really nice. We ordered the pork neck stew, seafood noodle soup and a seafood pancake. I would return for the pancake alone. It was crispy and thick with seafood bits here and there. The char on it added an excellent, smoky flavor. The pork neck soup was on par with other nearby eateries. It was very good, but not really piping hot when it came to our table. The seafood soup was not all that good. We thought the broth was very light on flavor. I thought it was light, but tasty. It was my fiancée's order and she thought it was bland. The noodles were gummy and I pulled out some hunks of clumped noodles that were not palatable. Probably the worst part of our experience, and what earned them only 3 stars this night were the little missteps. First, they forgot my fiancée ordered a Coke. We had to remind them twice that we ordered a Coke. A Pepsi was delivered. Not really a big deal. We are not too particular on brand of cola. But then throughout the dinner, we could not get their attention to get more water. We were even asked twice if there's anything else we wanted and when we said, "water please," we were given a friendly nod and smile, but the waters never came. By the end of our visit, 2 tables of 5-6 people were seated around us. 2 more opportunites to serve us our waters but they never came. We just decided it was time to pay and go home.

Yelp
Food is yummy, it's prepared by seasoned veterans. The decor however, is also from seasoned veterans, you'll feel like you're in Asia circa 1992. Service is also from seasoned veterans, orders get captured, the food makes it to your table and nothing in between if ya know what I mean. Last but not least auto gratuity regardless of party size... a savvy yet annoying seasoned veteran move. Come for the food, block out everything else

Victoria M.

Yelp
We came here 2 hours before closing on a Thursday night, short notice with a party of 8. They were very accommodating to the size of our group and the amount of food we ordered. Everything was delicious and came out in a short amount of time. Will definitely be coming back.
google avatar

Annie H.

Yelp
Cozy little mom and pops restaurant. There was only one server running around doing everything from seating the guests, bussing the tables, to ringing up the customers. Although service was a little slow, I appreciate the way she was trying to hustle. Ordered the beef pancake, cold noodles with spicy sauce, and kalbi ribs. The banchans were all so good. Prior to ordering the beef pancake, I thought it was similar to a seafood pancake but with beef but it's essentially beef fried with egg batter. If I knew, I would've stuck with the seafood pancake. Didn't love it. The cold noodles were decent. I'd love to come back and try different dishes next time.
google avatar

Audrey L.

Yelp
Best service there is... Truly felt like home in there and the aunties take care of the place with love and passion which is obvious in the food. THE FOOD IS ABSOLUTELY SO DELICIOUS!!! I cannot stress it enough. The spicy chicken cheese and kalbi ribs are to die for. Thanks for the hospitality aunties!!
google avatar

Timothy L.

Yelp
Food here, including the banchan, was pretty good. I ordered the gamjatang and it tasted great! The broth and the pork were well seasoned and flavored. However, my main qualm with this spot is the service, which was very slow and almost non-existent. There weren't many people in and it took a long time just for the waitresses to take our order and an even longer time (roughly 30 minutes) to get our food.

Anna B.

Yelp
Very quick and friendly service. Real nice ladies that work there. Food was outstanding and sooo delicious. Fried rice is nothing like I have ever had. Best I have ever had! I recommend even if you don't live in Portland to come check this place out. This is the best Korean restaurant I have eaten at and I can be picky. We got the tofu soup, bibimbap bowl and kimchi fried rice. Highly recommend this restaurant.
google avatar

Riccardo D.

Yelp
Their beef bulgogi was tender, flavorful, and delicious. I love all the little side dishes that they include with entrees. The kimchi was just fiery enough and was really tasty. The service was very good and friendly. Their menu doesn't have too many detailed descriptions so I'd recommend doing research first if you are not familiar with Korean cuisine. Definitely a keeper.

lauren s.

Yelp
Best korean bbq in portland, never ordered anything i didn't love. The sauce for the topokki is sooo good. spicy pork bulgogi is the go-to. and their lil potato side thing? so yum love it here

Kimmy T.

Yelp
We came with 6 people and only 4 people ordered while the other two still sat down with. As the side dishes were being served, the two people sitting without the intention to eat were served a bowl of rice each. We didn't know this would cause us to have to pay for gratuity fee. The server also calculated the tip we had to give her. We had no choice in the amount we wanted to tip. We were all kind of shocked due to the price but nevertheless we paid the price.

Na G.

Yelp
I definitely recommend this korean place, i've been going here for years and it never fails to represent. One of the only places with good yangnyeom gejang, bossam, and Jajangmyeon!
google avatar

Kenny H.

Yelp
Excellent homemade flavor like your grandma used to make. Prices are good, especially the lunch specials. We always stop by this spot when we're in town.
google avatar

Angel P.

Yelp
If you're looking for authentic homemade Korean food then this is the place you must go to! The portions are big and absolutely delicious. It was so good I ended up ordering take out for dinner right after my meal. The worker was adorable and made sure we felt right at home. The place may be small but it has a big heart.
google avatar

Rachel D.

Yelp
They're open again! Just for dinner though. Love this place. We've been going for years and the food quality has always been great. The staff is always very friendly and fairly attentive. Anything you get on the menu will be good, some of our favorites are the pancakes (like the kimchi), gogi jeon (sort of like an egg foo young minus the veggies and gravy...), mackerel, and spicy chicken bbq. Other classic (Bibimbap, japchae, etc...) are also good.
google avatar

Nikki H.

Yelp
Banchan was really good and my tofu soup was very hot and tasty but the bugolgi bibimbap was mainly all rice and no flavor. Hardly any meat on it.
google avatar

Molly A.

Yelp
Koreana is one of my favorite Korean restaurants In the area. Both for the menu offerings they have and the banchan provided, as well as a solid meal overall. I like the combination meals that they offer as well. I had galbi with soft tofu stew Which they were able to make without spice, and I found the soup to be very flavorful even despite this. The broth was very tasty and fresh. Probably prefer Kokki if I want to do Korean BBQ, but if wanting a good ol Korean meal, Koreana is my fav. Service is excellent too.
google avatar

Yan W.

Yelp
I came for take out and had one of their lunch specials that's available only during the weekdays. I ordered bulgogi lunch special for $13. They gave me a good amount but sadly the meat was rough and on the dry side. I've had other bulgogi lunch specials at other places and they were able to keep it still nice and tender. Maybe it didn't have enough sauce so it was dry. The rice was surprisingly still nice and soft (not mushy). The banchans were very nice and they divided it up by strong foil so it won't soak through the to go box or slide through other banchans.
google avatar

Heidi Y.

Yelp
I am deeply disappointed in this restaurant. We have been going here for over 15 years. And last night we ate dinner there and had our usuals. The bulgogi chicken was almost flavorless and the price tag is $30!!! It had zero personality. I don't mind a pricey dish-but it better be good -especially for chicken. It breaks my heart to give this review but it is ridiculous. That people are charging $30 for chicken, that pre-pandemic might've cost $15. I know prices have gone up most places, but if they hope to stay in business they might want to rethink their prices. Sadly, we won't be back. Anyone have a great Korean restaurant they want to recommend?

Yelp
Love this place!! Been going here for years. We've ordered the pan fried dumplings, steamed dumplings, goji jun (meat jun), jap chae noodles, seafood pancake, spicy chicken, and spicy pork. We've always been happy with everything we've ordered. You can't go wrong. I love the banchan (sides) that come with your entree. Typically they serve a variety of kimchee, veggies, tofu, and potatoes. You can also ask for refills of your favorite banchan. Koreana offers the option to bbq at your table, just order your favorite marinaded meat and get ready to grill. I haven't done that here but I consistently see other customers do that. The lunch specials offered Monday-Friday are a great deal!

Yelp
I HAVE FOUND THE PLACE. Omg this local mom and pops korean diner made my heart so full. I wish I had more room! I ordered the galbi and mild tofu soup combo and let me tell you no banchan or dish was left behind! I felt a little embarrassed from the ravenous look I must have had while sitting down scarfing down the delicious Korean food that my body was craving. So authentic so yummy, the taste and smell brought me back to my childhood. 100% would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great place to sit and enjoy "the way mom used to make it" Korean food. Love love loveeeee this spot. I'll be back for sure.

Yelp
good korean food. fast service despite only one person serving. they had a bell thing at each table to press when we needed service which was very convenient! the seafood pancake was loaded with seafood, but it was a bit oily for me.

Yelp
Came in with a group of 6, but only 4 of us ordered. Server did not communicate that there would be a gratuity charge at the end for a table more than 5 until paying time and charged us 18% then told us she helped us tip her. We are a group of young adults. I believe we were really polite and well mannered. But we felt like she took advantage of us. The two people who did not order but yet she still served them rice even though they did not touch it and we communicated that they will not be ordering or eating anything at the start. She did not seem too happy about how they didn't order anything. We believe she purposely gave them rice even though they didn't touch it to charge us the gratuity fee. The menu didn't say there would be a charge and she did not state it in the start. 2 people on the same tab for two short rib soup was a total of $70. We got an appetizer for the 4 of us to share and the portion was ridiculously small where we each got 4 pieces of rice cake and the total was $20 for that. We did not understand her until she repeated herself about tipping for us. We all kept quiet because we were all shocked and just paid what she told us to pay but did not show us the list of total cost and how much she tipped herself as well. The food was not the best Korean food we've had. We had so much better. Before we knew our total we rated overall experience 4/10, but after we paid and the way she told us she tipped herself we rate this place 1/10.

Yelp
My go to Korean mom and pop shop. I always get their Yukgaejang (aka my hangover cure). Right next door is Karaoke too which is a plus

Yelp
I've always loved Korean food, especially Gamjatang. Every place I go I look for a good Korean place with good Gamjatang that would rival the ones I had in Korean Town in Toronto. However, I can say that at Koreana I found the gamjatang that I've always wanted ever since I moved away from Toronto. Their gamjatang tasted great with a lot of substance, lots of meat and veggies at great price. This is one of the best Korean restaurants I've been to!
