Update: The gum chewing main cashier has only gotten worse, if that's possible. He'll act real helpful when the owners (who seem sweet) are watching to vet him, and totally change his demeanor when they're not around. And he gets a snobby attitude whenever you don't give tip, as if it should be expected. This man is poisoning your business! The other workers seem to be pretty reasonable and likeable. Original Review: It's remarkable to me that they have kept the same workers here for so many years, especially considering that the main cashier (short latino man, with a cap always on) is one of the worst I've ever dealt with. You would think his demeanor might change over the years, with increased adeptness and understanding, but no; he still gives you looks like he'd rather you leave, than he work; he still talks to you like your patronage is for granted. Also, lower your prices. Read the room. We're in a tough economy right now, with many suffering. Your pizza is not that special. If places in Manhattan can give it away for three, you have no reason to be charging four.

Been coming here 10+ years and it’s about time I left a review to acknowledge the awesome work this family business is doing! The pizza is consistently delicious, no frills customer service- serving up Brooklyn realness. One of the few anchors of Church Ave that’s earned its legacy :).

Extremely rude people! They only take cash. I was calling a friend to bring me cash before I started eating when I found out they only take cash. The lady snatched the one slice of pizza back from me and ordered me to put the can of soda back in the fridge. Never in my life was I disrespected this badly. Horrible customer service and thank god I didn’t have to eat there and support some horrible people and their business.

This is Probably the most overrated & overpriced pizzeria in Kensington Brooklyn. The Pizzas are trash. They don't accept credit or Google/Apple pay. They're not adjusting with the times. They take cash only. The staff sucks. I have no idea how this place got a good reputation.

Classic neighborhood pizza but the pastas are also great. I hope it stays open forever, don't take Korner for granted.

This garbage gave me a nauseous gurgling colon within two hours of eating. I am NOT lactose intolerant, so this means they use fake over-processed mozzarella or something like that. 3) It’s cash-only. In 2024. Come on, get with the 21st century for crying out loud. Others in the neighborhood recommended this place, and all I can think is that they’re out of their goddamm minds — or maybe they’ve just never eaten real food made with fresh ingredients. Thought it might have been something else from that day, so had a leftover slice for lunch to make sure. Nope! Two hours later, same horrorshow in my intestines. Had to throw out the rest of the leftovers because it made me so sick. Seriously, forget this place! Beverley Pizzeria, right around the corner, has an amazing Southwestern pie that costs less, tastes a thousand times better and doesn’t make me feel like puking while I’ve got the squirts at the same time. Sorry, Korner Pizza. Gave you one chance. Never, ever again.

This place has been open forever and there's a reason why... it's delicious. The prices are worth every penny. Portions are huge and you will have leftovers.

I don't understand how this place is still in business, especially with Beverly Pizzeria around the corner. Crust was undercooked, pizza was flavorless, ingredients are of dubious quality (my GI tract is quite unhappy the morning after). Cash only & not worth the trip down the block to an ATM. Service was fairly poor - the guys behind the counter seemed annoyed by our order. Lighting is also terrible & the restroom was closed to customers. I will definitely not be eating this "pizza" ever again.

I tried this pizza the other day and I must say that I was very pleased. I ordered a pepperoni slice and a sausage slice. The customer service was great and the staff was friendly. The atmosphere was cool. The other customers were enjoying their pizza. I will definitely be back to trying other pizza options on the menu.

I have no idea why this place has such low ratings on Yelp. In fact, Eater.com awarded it with the "Golden Slice" award few years back. There is a reason it's been open since 1966. This is hands down my favorite old-school pizza shop. I hear people complaining about price?? It's $3.50 for a slice of cheese pizza which is pretty average for nyc. If you're looking for a bougie pizza with fig and goat cheese, this is not your place. But if you're looking for a New York slice, then you should give it a try. Also recommended is their eggplant parm- It melts in your mouth. And everyone who works here is like family. It's been family-owned for decades, and it shows. What a fantastic neighborhood and beyond restaurant. Give it a try!

28 years of eating their slices and i still love it. Getting a slice from Korner when passing by is never a bad idea.

My mom ordered food for my aunts birthday. We had baked ziti, sausage and peppers, spaghetti with garlic and oil and chicken parm. All I have to say is WOW!!! Everyone oneof us that ate, all enjoyed it (and we are a bunch of picky eaters). We have had sausage and peppers many times, but having it from here has been the best sausage and peppers we have ever had. They were also extremely accommodating with the food we ordered due to food restrictions. I have eaten and ordered food from there many times, and have been impressed. There have been times I've eaten at a place and when I catered the food, it wasn't so good. Not this place!!! There catering and food were on point.

Great pies and slices, and nice workers. Old school, simple menu and cash only. When you want some proper NY pizza, look no further.

I've been eating pizza here for 31 years and have never been disappointed. The service is good and the ambiance is of a classic pizzeria. Their recipe has never changed. It is definitely the best pizza in the neighborhood hands down.

The Pizza here is marginal at best. It is overpriced for the quality they give customers. Soggy, not hot at all. It reminded me of cafeteria food. Owner not easy to get along with. They showed their true colors during the first couple of years of the pandemic.

This establishment has been here at the same location for over 50 years and there's a reason---- ITS GOOD!!!! The quality of the ingredients is top notch and unlike lots of pizza places, they have never lowered their standards. The cheese is amazing as well as the sauce. A little sweet and rich and full bodied. Eggplant parm is loaded with cheese and just hits the spot. Sausage roll with dipping sauce cannot be beat. Quick and friendly service. I'd go back any time when I'm in the area.

This place has been in the neighborhood for years. They also did not check V Cards during the pandemic so that's why I racked on the extra star. Otherwise they are known to have expensive pizza, they go to Italy every year and raise their prices, and use mediocre ingredients. Used to come here years ago but would not dare now.

Good pizza, I've had a few other items on the menu that was ok but prob wouldn't order again. Not saying it was bad but I personally wasn't crazy about it for the price. I normally don't order meals from a regular pizzeria anyways. But people are very nice there and the pizza is good compared to most places.

Good, satisfiable, love the interior of the restaurant. The pizza is too cheesy for my tastes but most people might not complain. Sauce was above average, wish it was crispier.

I lived in the neighborhood for most my life and they have always been known to be the priciest out of all the local pizza spots. If they'd drop their prices, they would be one of the better spots in the neighborhood for sure.

What the hell happened to this place? It wasn't the best before but it's definitely gotten worse. I just had it after not having it for years and it's beyond mediocre. They skimp on the cheese. They skimp on the sauce. And the crust is thicker cause they can't even put the sauce up more. Terrible. I will not be returning

Super pricey and when I asked for a mushroom slice, the employee threw the canned mushrooms onto a plain slice and then proceeded to put it in the oven. It was mediocre pizza. Mediocre mushrooms. Never coming back for sure.

Korner serves decent Pizza, but it is all downhill after that. The owners are remnants of the Old Boro Park "Goumba" days. Cash only policy, they overcharge and short change their customers. Don't bother complaining because they'll toss you right out. I amazed that they can get away with running a business as if they were The Soprano's.

Some of the worst pizza I've ever eaten came from this place. I've given them many chances over the years and every time I've been disappointed. It is so hit-or-miss... burnt, raw dough, and everything in the middle. The latest pie was basically just greasy slop in a box. When I complained and asked for a new one I was basically told to go "f" myself. Screw you, Korner Pizza.

This place doesn't know anything about customer service. When you order anything they tell you wait 15 minutes to be ready. After you had waited 25 minutes, they say the order is not ready. Then when you tell them don't make the order anymore since it took so long for it to be ready and most of us don't have 30 minutes to wait for food to be done; they want to tell (the customer) that it's your fault and you are a liar. They literally will call you a liar! I will not recommend this place to anybody! Too much headache and their tomato sauce is not good at all!

I've been going to Korner Pizza my entire life. They have always been the most expensive pizza around. They're also the last pizzeria from my childhood that is still around. If you see a middle aged Italian man making the pizza, go in and buy a slice! It's worth every cent of the 3.50 for a plain slice they charge. But if you see anyone else making the pizza, RUN! You will get a slice of pizza that isn't worth a fraction of the 3.50 they charge per slice. Not to mention they run the place like it's Sal's Pizzeria in "do the right thing". I mean literally a year ago they had a cop on cop shooting in front of their store that was later pinned on Radio Raheem.

Korner Pizza is your standard, average, local pizzeria joint. It's not the best I've had and it's not the worst I've had. It's solidly average NYC pizza (which means it's pretty damn good). The place is cash only and the interior is reminiscent of old style parlors. If you're in the neighborhood and craving a slice, I'd say give them a shot.

Great place, neighborhood staple that's been here forever. If you don't like or patronize this place you're probably a transplant from the midwest. See yourself out.

A place that rests on its laurels. My friends have been going here since they were kids, and I started around high school. It's got character in the form of a great location, concrete table outside, and plenty of seating inside. I take off stars because the pizza really isn't all that amazing. They also charge on the high end but only accept cash which is incredible for 2020. It's still a great place to walk by for some pizza and Snapple.

I'm only reviewing the meal we had tonight. If I cold give less than one star, I certainly would. I ordered the chicken hero with lettuce and tomato. I got the lettuce and tomato and it was fresh, the bread wasn't bad either, but the chicken ? That chicken was crusty on the edges, so dry I about choked on my first bite. It got hung in my throat and my husband had to get something for me to wash it down with. There was also a short black hair on the sandwich as well. The mozzarella cheese sticks were just ok. They taste like they were frozen, fried and sat for a while. We won't be ordering anything from them again. Don't bother trying to complain, the owner, the last time I had a complaint, shut me down. We decided to give them another shot and this happened. So, we're done. Also, not cheap either.

My # 1 childhood pizza place! I hope it always stays open. Even though I don't live in this neighborhood any longer, every time I am in the neighborhood, I get a slice or 2, or even order a full pie for the family.

They only take cash and the pizza is pricey. I wouldn't really recommend it. There are other pizzerias that would appreciate your business.

I liked their food back in the 1980s and the 1990s, but the newer restaurants in the neighborhood are so much better. The pizza and the entrees at Uncle Frankie's on Fort Hamilton Parkway and Beverley Pizza on E. 2nd Street taste a lot better and you get much bigger portions.

Korner Pizza has been around here for a long time and reminds me of child hood. Its gotten quite a bit pricier and the pizza doesn't taste as good as it did back then. But if you just want a good slice of pizza, this is a great place. Their pie costs almost $20. However their crust to cheese ratio is perfect. The crust is extremely crunchy and thin.

If i could give no stars i would, went in there the other day ordered two pies one with extra cheese and one regular. They both barley had any cheese on it, charged me 50$ for both pies and one can of soda that i drank while standing outside. The pizza was extremely doughy no sauce barley any cheese, i love pizza and this place was the biggest disappointment of my life.

Born and raised in this neighborhood. My family has been ordering from this place for over 15-years. Pizza is the only thing we've gotten, and I have to say the quality of the pizza is as good as we first remember. If you want good ol' Brooklyn Pizza, this is the place to go.

$3 for 1 slice of pizza and $1.50 for a Poland Spring water... Most pizzerias in the area a slice is $2 and water is universally $1...The neighborhood is mainly filled with minorities and immigrants... The pricing of each item on the menu is insane... They charge $7 extra dollars for extra cheese on a pie! The nerve of this place! Also, the lighting in here is blinding!

Apparently, this is the only pizza joint located in McDonald Ave, so even though I'm not too crazy about this place, I go here only because I have to. Luckily, I don't have to go here to buy a slice of their ridiculously over priced pizza ($3), which tastes on average like any other corner store pizza. There's nothing special about it that would make you say, oh wow. So therefore, they only receive a two star, minus 1 star because their pizza is expensive. To be honest, the only reason why I go here: (1) Their is no other pizza place in town (2) I like to make my own pizza at home (3) I'm too lazy to knead my own dough so I go and by it from them instead ($3.50). _________________________________ Here's How To Make Your Own Pizza: INGREDIENTS: Parchment paper, crushed tomato sauce, grated or sliced mozzarella cheese from the supermarket, oregano, and lastly a pizza stone set from Bed, Bath and Beyond which will cost about $30. PREPARATION: Cut the dough in half to make two personal pies and place it in a metal or porcelain bowl with saran plastic wrap covered on top. Then leave it in the oven to rise for about two hours with the oven off. PIZZA TIME: Set the oven to 500 degrees for about 15 mins. While waiting, roll the dough with your hands on top of the parchment paper until it looks like a pie. Place all ingredients on top. Lower the heat back to 350 and pop it in the oven for about 8 min. But just make sure to check the bottom of the pizza to make sure it's well cooked. Once it looks like a pizza that you see in a pizza store, then it's ready.

Very good pizza and friendly service. Never grip about the way you want it. They treat you nicely. The place is clean too. Wish they were closer.

How can Brooklyn pizza be bad? Korner answers that question; the pizza is terrible. the other food is "meh". The two women (I think this is a family business) that work the counter are most unpleasant.

I'd rather give this place a 2.5, but because their pizza is actually pretty good I'll give them the extra .5 star rather than take it away from them. I will say their slices are super cheesy, bread tastes good, never had an issue with their slices. I have a few issues though with them. They're really expensive for a standard Brooklyn pizza. They are not Difaras, L&B Spumoni or Grimaldi's. And yes, they don't charge as much, but it's much closer to that tier of pricing than most pizzerias. They don't take credit card (It is the year 2016. How do you not take credit card. That is insane), and they are also not on Grubhub/Seamless/Delivery apps. Again this is insane for the year that we are in. I know those apps and credit cards charge fees but for the high prices these guys charge for slices and pies they can absolutely offer these services.

This place is the worst! I've lived in the neighborhood all my life and know these people personally Korner pizza was a family oriented mom and pop pizza shop that was friendly and inviting and served quality food cooked by their own mother and severed by their sons. Now the place is just a shell of what it was the food dishes are terrible! After waiting nearly two hours for delivery we got chicken parmigiana was like rubber and eggplant that looked like it had mold on it pizza was greasy with mozzarella cheese that's more like cardboard than the soft chewy Grande cheese they used to serve. Service is non existent don't even think about voicing your concerns they won't care one bit Anthony is rude and disrespectful and encourages you not order from them any more as if he was a self proclaimed pizza guru in fact just the opposite. Bottom line this place feels more like a skid row pizzeria dirty and cold. The people there act as if they are doing you a favor when you order. If there's any positive reviews about this place take them with a grain of salt. I can say with confidence that this place should be shut down.

Cheese steak hero I had was OMG so amazing. It's a local family owned business with long tradition with members of the family at the counter and it's just a wonderful atmosphere.

I love Korner and think they have amazing food. I don't care if the pizza is more expensive than average. It's worth it. The salads are really good too, and the croutons are very fresh. Room for improvement: Turn off the TV! Or put on something better than Highway Patrol or Pawn Stars!
