Andrea was the best and most helpful person imaginable. She helped me pick out the BEST pizzas and boxed them up so nicely. She had great recommendations that my entire family appreciated. We will be back soon because the food was delicious and Andrea was amazing!!

What can i say except this place is simply amazing! I have never raved about a pizza like this before or any other pizza restaurant. If i had... move over you are no longer the number one spot!!! The price is right, great workers and the food is so very fulfiling. Koronet Pizza you've gained a 5 🌟's trophy 🏆 🏆 🏆 🏆 🏆 What I loved the most was the workers took the time to explain the options they had to offer and you can surely taste the love with every bite.. just the right amount of cheese, sauce... everything perfect! OOOH MY, guess what vegans? There's options for you too!!! Ask them they will tell you all about it. I had a regular slice which was so big... but then I looked over and saw a bigger size slice--- like what!!! Let me tell you, I ate the first slice and ordered another..I was thinking to myself I should have just got the jumbo instead; But I knew that I wouldn't have eaten it all. Besides, I didn't know how it taste. It was my first time there. So instead of ordering the jumbo, I watched the two young basketball players take a shot at it. They tried their best they really did 😆. They had only went mid-way and gave up because they had "practice in a few" (Mmmhmm 😆). I'm telling you that jumbo size is breakfast, lunch and dinner all in one. I suggest a regular size if you ate earlier and a jumbo if you need to stay full for the day or if you have a really big appetite. My next attempt, I'm trying them all... well not at once but once or twice a week. This place is great I'll be back soon... I think i just said that lol see, I can't stop expressing my thoughts about this place and thinking about the slice I ate. It was yesterday literally!! 6/4/24 CHANGED MY LIFE. I had the best sleep ever!! No more ordering pizza from other food chains. I'm going to have to travel here if the family wants pizza. Thank you for the great food and service. Delicious! Thin crunchy pizza crust and a lot of cheese! Gigantic slice! No bathrooms here so go to the hospital or Starbucks to use the bathroom!

Nice spot, gets "lost" but is still a great spot in a classic New York style! If you are in this are this place is a good visit to those who seek satisfy their needs for quality pizza. And their jumbo slices are actually Jumbo like gosh that huge))) I am a pepperoni pizza guy but a got the Chiken Buffalo ranch jumbo slice and don't regret it. Ad a pepperoni love I definitely got the pepperoni pizza pie slice and damn that delicious. Sauce great, crust great, toppings awsone!!! My 5 stars you got guys good job. Oh and I spent only $14 for a meal I could barely finish with a soda!

The smell of this pizza shop filled up the side walk. I had to grab a slice. Definitely was an above average New York City slice. I love the jumbo slice options! I got the regular slice but i was super tempted to get the jumbo 😭Customer service here was pretty awesome too! Id definitely come back

Terrible- I can not believe what happened yesterday. I went to this place because it looked really nice on the outside and it looked like a small normal pizza shop. But the biggest mistake I made was not looking at their FAMOUS GIANT PIZZA SLICE. Going for 5.50 a slice. It’s the size of about 3 slices in one ITS HUGE. I ordered a normal cheese slice 3.50 and a sausage calzone 7.00 and I was full by the time I saw their GIANT PIZZA. PLEASE COME IN HERE AND ONLY GET THAT. You can order the entire pie for 40.00 a bit pricey but when I asked the counter woman who was very nice said that it was worth 3 pizza pies into one. You HAVE TO COME BACK, or try the giant slice at least once.

Californian here, so admittedly maybe not an expert on pizza. I stopped by this place on a whim after a visit to the Met and I still think about it. Got something pretty basic, maybe the Margherita, but it was very fresh with a thin crush.

We make it a point to come and enjoy this delicious pizza! Best in town in our opinion. Plus - one of the largest slices we have ever seen. No public restrooms - can and bottle drinks only, including Stewart's shop sodas. Restrooms are a few blocks away in Central Park. They have seating for about 15 people in the entire restaurant. Will be back again! Our fave is the buffalo chicken pizza (not imaged here)

A solid slice in a world where there is some real crap pizza in existence. Cheesy, saucy, crispy bottom. If you're walking around and looking for a slice this place won't disappoint. Side note: Beware of not great pizza in NYC! It's a travesty for tourists to walk into any place and think that's NY pizza. Do your research and don't settle. Please!

It's all about that jumbo slice! I am amazed how well those huge slices maintain a crispy bottom. The quality of the pizza is decent, pretty average New York style fare, but the novelty of the jumbo slice is where the action's at. This can be a fun place to bring out-of-town guests and will also satisfy those pizza cravings if you're in the neighborhood.

The food was ok, the service good and got a seat. I came here based on a recent review after my doctor's appt. Sometimes reviews do not live up to their name.

It is close to the Metropolitan museum, so we decide to get there to get a New York style pizza. The price is affordable and the size is big. I love the chicken with white sauce. They will reheat the pizza for you once you make your selection. The space is a bit limited, and not many seats. so you might need to take it out.

This pizza joint has been around for decades. I used to go when I was a grad student in the mid 90s.They're known for their giant sized slice, now $6. $3.75 for a regular (but still bigger than average) slice which I enjoyed today. I give their pizza a 4.25. Friendly, efficient service, affordable prices, and very good well-portioned pizza make this pizzeria a win.

Overall, very good pizza! I tried the vodka pasta pizza slice and it was quite tasty! Service was great, very friendly! I liked that they warm up the pizza for you. I will be returning to try their other flavors!

The pizza tasted okay going down but I had food poisoning less than an hour later. My friends got the last two pepperoni jumbo slices, so I was served a plain slice with pepperoni added on top. There was a visible difference in the type of pepperoni used on the slices my friends had versus the makeshift pepperoni slice I had. Fortunately my friends were unharmed. My guess is that the pepperoni they had lying around, which was used as a topping on a plain slice, is the blame. Hopefully you do not suffer the same fate!

I was on campus exploring the morningside park side of Columbia and decided to check out this no frills pizza place. The first noticeable thing about this this place is their JUMBO pizza slices. The whimsical size of the slices is very much "New York" and adds to the overall dining experience. What I really appreciated is that the pizza also TASTES incredible. They have a classic thin crust pizza pie and the sauce is flavorful. There are so many jumbo and regular size pizza flavors to choose from and one slice is pretty filling for dinner. I've been several times now and everyone is always friendly which also adds to the experience.

It's a small pizza shop but nothing beats a jumbo sliced pizza. We tried pepperoni and chicken Alfredo. They were both really good. I liked the thin crust as well. This was my after school stop when I was in college. The flavor has been consistent over the years.

I ordered a Margherita slice and a a vodka slice both tasted great. They sell the jumbo slices as well but they look like they can feed a small family of 4!

Good tasting pizza, it was not expensive and also the places clean, and the people that eat there are so kind they even let me use their cheese!

this place kicks ass. would come back here every time i wanted a slice if i lived nearby. grandma's slice was crispy & tasty, can't speak on the other slices here. heated up quick and was amazing. heater was on too high though, cool it in the pizza house.

I was with my sister and wanted to get some classic New York pizza. I've had this place before and was thrilled to see it again when we were hungry and ready for food. Once again, this place was fantastic. Quick service and good prices. The pizza seems to be usually reheated but otherwise it's still great! Some seating in the restaurant otherwise this is a great spot for grabbing food and having a picnic.

This might be my favorite pizza in NYC (in its category of course). I got the margarita pizza, 3 garlic knots, and a can of coke for $9.75. It was so good and i'm kind of a pizza snob. Super quick and not a bad price. Their ranch is also so good! Totally recommend!

The pizzas are super huge, I got two slices and I couldn't finish it. It is pretty greasy and it lacked flavor. The pizza was just oily and that's all I tasted.

I grew up in NY, went to the west coast for 20 years and haven't found the pizza I grew up with since moving back. THIS is the pizza I grew up with. The cheese slice with runny cheese. Chef's kiss.

Great pizza, large slices, and pretty quick. Stopped in here while out walking around the area. Crust was thin and crisp. I'm was happy it was soggy and soft. The slice itself was big but had jumbo slices that were even bigger. Lots of different slice/topping choices. Friendly and would come back

I tried their regular cheese slices & were pretty good . Customer service is good too. It's a small place but you can actually have a seat & eat .

I was craving pizza, saw Koronet across the street, and I was there. Those jumbo slices were HUGE and honestly I'd love to try one eventually, but I wasn't hungry enough for it so I just got one margherita slice that ended up being $5.50. They have free toppings for you at a small table near the door so you can dress your pizza up how you'd like. It was a good looking slice, but I won't drag this out-- the bottom was way too soft considering I ate it right when they gave it to me. I expect a crunchy crust when I'm eating that thing right when it gets out of the oven, and this one was visibly drooping as soon as I started eating it. It is a problem when I can't tell the difference between the crust and the cheese. But if you, too, are craving pizza though, Koronet will be good enough!

A great slice if you are in the area. The white slice tasted like a grilled cheese sandwich in a great way. Pepperoni and bacon were very good too. But the White Slice. Great.

Solid pizza spot especially in the UES. Will be coming back here unlike some of the other spots in the neighborhood. MARGHERITA SLICE The way I would describe the crust: tender. It has this delicate crisp and just crunches into this tender and light crust. Good on the cheesiness too, with a sweet, juicy tomato sauce to counter the salty pools of white stretchy cheese. Crust is not difficult to chew. BUFFALO CHICKEN SLICE I don't usually like to get these as they are super American but again tender crust and importantly TENDER and flavorful buffalo chicken that isn't too artificial or forward with the buffalo flavor; you'll get a solid chicken flavor here too. NUMEROUS, packed smaller chunks than your typical but more than makes up for in volume of chicken decorating this slice. Yum I don't take into account price in my ratings but if it matters to you it was $5 a slice.

Huge slices, fast service, friendly staff. They even have a gumball machine that my kids loved. What more could one ask for?

Listen y'all, I'm a large man, I can palm a basketball... look at my hand in reference to their slices! One of my favorite places to enjoy pizza. Filling and delicious! "Largest slice in NY since 1981" is no joke. Great undercarriage, tasty sauce, and stretchy cheese. This fed three adults and a 5 year old. Wild. Try 'em out!

Im from the west coast, the pizza their is trash asf this has to be one of the best joints I've been too, I highly recommend

In nyc with my daughter for just one night. Had 3 pizza slices from 3 restaurants. Definitely miss real pizza in Northern California. Went to MET and had to get our last slice. I got pepperoni. It was good. No complaints. For New York it was average. For west coast it would be the best pizza around. If you find yourself in upper east side by center park I recommend it.

Soggy crust! Bleh look at how soggy this pizza is! It was inedible. Do not waste your money.

Koronet Pizza looked good when I walked by last week. I liked the decor and when I saw the reviews I knew I had to return when they were open. Let me tell you the reviews don't lie. The service was excellent by friendly employees that were smiling! The pizza was ready in no time and well worth the $4.25 for the best slice of white pizza I think I've ever had! I ate the crust and all it was so scrumptious. They let me sit inside at the counter. It's very sunny in there, and outside, around noon. The workers, both construction and medical workers were in and out buying lunch. It's a very popular pizza place in the neighborhood. I'm recommending you skip the $1.00 slice pizza joints and get quality mozzarella and ricotta, plus they have a wide variety of toppings here at Koronet Pizza. Check out their menu.

Normally I would not spend $5 for a slice of pizza but I was HANGRY and really needed some food to get in mah bellah! All I can say is- Wow! This thing is huge! ( That's what she said! ) I had a Margherita slice which was the size of my head. Thick slice, crispy bottom, nice mix of cheese and sauce. I was pretty full and happy after this. They also have a Jumbo slice on the menu and I'm kind of scared to even attempt that one! Calzones, sausage and assorted rolls, different pizzas, and non alcoholic drinks offered in a clean shop with some tables to sit at. They are right near the 77th street 6 train subway stop.

Go big ... or GO JUMBO! Not only does Koronet Pizza sell colossal-oversized-giant-huge-mammoth slices of pizza, it sells supremely-tasty colossal-oversized-giant-huge-mammoth slices of New York's favorite fast food. We selected from the pre-made options in the counter display a regular-size white cheese slice and a jumbo margherita. Both were quickly heated and served as well as surprisingly satisfying. Koronet is among my spouse's favorite NYC pizza picks. I'm not one to disagree with her ... except maybe regarding appropriate attention, lack of affection, my hubby chores, the money sitch, our future, and, most importantly, where are we gonna eat tonight ... so I'm gonna concur with my wife in saying Koronet Pizza is worthy of 5 stars ... and not just because the JUMBO pizza slices are bigger than her head. Speaking of big-headness, it sounds like I've got chores, affection, and finances to go attend to ... later!

Good quality pizza, quick and friendly service. They even have seating inside if you want it. If you need a slice I recommend stopping by. I enjoyed both the traditional and square, thin crust slices.

It's a great football pizza slice. Great flavor. The crust is flavorful and crispy. If you're really feeling hungry go for the giant slice

I've never been a fan of Koronet near Columbia, as I've always felt the huge slices were too gimmicky. I do like the UES location, though, so I stopped by for lunch last week. I had a sausage slice and really enjoyed it. The sausage had a great fennel flavor and the pizza tasted fresh. Definitely hit this spot up!

Amazing slices for a reasonable price! I don't live in NYC anymore, but swing by this place every time I'm in town.

The pizza was delicious and responsibly priced. Very small and no bathrooms - but that wouldn't deter me from going back!

Get the vodka slice. Quick service, cheap, tasty and a clean restaurant. My go to for lunch when I work over here on Tuesdays.

I was in my old UES neighborhood and close to this branch location of the Columbia University area classic pizza place. I first went to that Broadway location in 1986 and fell in love with their jumbo slices. I've been there off and on since I left the neighborhood 25 years ago. Anyway, I go to their Lexington Ave. spot and immediately order a jumbo slice. Honestly, their slice is actually a bit better than the original. Good sauce to cheese ratio and very fresh tasting. Worth the premium price paid. I'll be back.

This was exactly what we needed after a morning walking and enjoying Central Park. Wonderful pizza, all by the slice or as a pie. We got the jumbo cheese, jumbo spinach/ricotta, and jumbo tomato/basil/mozzarella. When they say jumbo they really mean it -- these slices were enormous!! Each pizza had a perfect crust, thin but not too thin, crispy but still with chewiness and not burnt. The cheese pizza totally satisfied the craving for a classic New York slice. The other slices were clearly made with fresh, quality ingredients (fresh mozzarella, fresh spinach, ricotta, and basil, etc.). This Is a very no frills kind of place and it's clearly a spot where a lot of locals come for lunch and that's exactly why we loved it and would recommend it to anyone looking for a pizza slice in this area.

Gi-normous slices of pizza here! They kindly cut mine in half because i knew i wouldn't be able to finish it. I'm a purist, so I stuck with the plain cheese slice. It was very good and filling. Prices not bad too! Clean place, with ample seating.

Pizza is too greasy. Plus I've witnessed the server use his hands to push down the trash and then service another customer without washing hands. I think hygiene is a problem here not to mention mediocre pizza. I do not recommend.

Got 2 slices to share between the two of us and it was absolutely amazing! The margherita pizza was super flavorful and the fresh tomatoes were amazing. The white pizza had the right amount of cheese and they all complemented each other well. The ricotta cheese was to die for!! Definitely a trek up here, but SO worth it!!

Supposed to have been a half sausage/onion and half cheese pizza. In reality they delivered a full sausage/onion pizza that was cold with the cheese sliding off. Very disappointing.

This became my go-to spot for pizza while I was in the city! Good prices for normal (but still large) and jumbo slices. The jumbo slices are truly giant and can be easily split between two people. Service was quick and definitely had that authentic New York feel.

This was the first meal we had after we got to NYC, and it was amazing. We got the 18" tomato, mozzarella, and basil pizza...it was bomb! Plenty for 3 people + leftovers for the next day. One of the best pizzas we had while we were there, so we were fortunate to find it. ONLY thing I had an issue with (and the reason why this place got 4 stars instead of 5) is that the same guy handling cash/money was also boxing up pizzas without washing his hands in between. Major no no for me :(

Made our way here on a chilly day. This crispy, warm pizza really boosted our spirits. We did not try the mammoth 32" pizza, but the "regular " slices were still pretty large. The pizza was a little on the thicker side for a thin crust pizza, if that makes sense. The "undercarriage" was nice and crispy! We also really liked the garlic knots.
