The 17 Best Vegan Restaurants in Sydney, Australia | Eater

"The fastest way to an Egyptian kitchen might be through an Addison Road car park, where Walid El Sabbagh serves koshari just as his grandmother did back in Alexandria. Here, your serving of Egypt’s national dish comes with a loud, crackly soundtrack, thanks to the ultra-crunchy fried onions on top. Everything from the dukkah-dusted chips to the cashew-based baklava is totally vegan." - Lee Tran Lam

Amazing Koshari. Very authentic I had a small plate abundant with flavors. Very delicious. My husband even ordered a second dish. The Falafel tastes great too.; very delicious and authentic Egyptian. Very nice atmosphere; colorful and cozy. very polite staff. Great coffee...happy vibes. Must try when you are in the area.

Finally found a proper Egyptian restaurant! No where else in Australasia that you'll find something like this. Truly authentic food, nothing been europenised and flavours are incredible. Thank you so much, I'll be back everything i visit Sydney.

I've been to Koshari Korner a number of times and the food is always on point. The eatery runs out of a food truck with home-style vegetarian dishes and undercover seating decorate in traditional tapestry. It's not fully enclosed so can get quite cold in the nights. My favourite is their koshari and falafel. I've only had koshari in Egypt so it's a bonus to be able to capture those flavours here. Condiments such as the garlic and chilli oil is available. Service can be lacking at times as it's a small joint and seating sometimes hard to find. Nevertheless, they make up for this with their most tasty vegetarian menu!

There's a lot to like here. Imperceptibly vegan. Good food and good service in a spot not otherwise well served. I'm as picky about felafel as the owners here seem to be. The falafel were outstanding. The rest is all competent and very good value, including good and well-made coffee from equipment that would excuse it if it wasn't. But it really was. If you're here, this place will serve you more than adequately. But it served us well, and the team really care.

A hidden gem serving up authentic Egyptian street food with heart. The signature koshari is bold, comforting, and perfectly balanced with crispy onions, spiced tomato sauce, and lentils. Fast, friendly service and a clean, modern vibe make it a go-to for a flavorful, plant-based meal that doesn’t compromise on tradition.

Cool place. It’s a food truck with permanent outdoor covered seating. The food was great. The size of the wrap was small but the prices are good. I had 1 wrap and 2 falafels on the side which filled me up. Nice staff too. Recommended!

Love this place! Amazing food that you may not have experienced before?! You can sit down here for hours or takeaway in minutes. My kids love the hibiscus tea! I love the mixed plate and any of the wraps (cauliflower, etc). It’s a cute and quiet piece of Egypt in amongst the hub of Addison Rd, beside the @australianmartialarts classes. It’s not street food prices (what you’d find in Egypt!), yet for $20 you will eat the freshest and most flavour filled meal of your week, without feeling bloated or still hungry. Served by wonderful people who are so friendly, have many stories if they have time to talk, and you’re giving back to community too! There can be a little wait for some dishes as I think they make everything fresh (there’s no much sitting around ready to go, which is a great sign of freshness and quality!). Grab a table (or book if there’s a few of you) before a show in the theatre or while you’re waiting for your child in the AMA class, or after a fun browse in the Bower!
