Google
Great & very authentic Berlin Döner! Sauces were tasty as was the kebab bread. Highly recommend if you are craving an authentic Döner. Loved the vegetarian options!

one of the worst food experiences i've had while living here. i'm 90% sure i received the wrong item, but did not have time to dispute. the meat was well seasoned but tough to chew. i ordered the kebab cone and received a sandwich the size of my hand for $13...gone in 3 bites. probably worth half as much as i paid. never coming back!

The guy working there was very nice and just a chill guy and very knowledgeable about the food and ingredients. The food was very good and so were the drinks.

Google
This place is great! First of all, the staff is super kind and helpful, it was my first time stopping at this kiosk in the Essex Market and the cashier was great help in guiding me through my decision! I just wanted to try a little taste, so I got the Taco. $6 and some change, it was worth it to really taste the flavors. In any choice between taco to wrap to bowl all toppings are included! The flavors were vibrant and savory. I really recommend giving this place a try! I know I’ll come back for something more than a taco next time!

Some of the main proteins and toppings were missing. The server was very courteous, but the kotti bowl wasn't the most delicious. Very average for a gyro salad bowl.

Had the wrap kebab with roasted tofu and substituted the feta cheese and white sauce with the vegan white sauce ! The wrap was flavourful and the tofu was perfectly marinated. Hope to see more vegan options in the future here !

Yelp
Having been in the area quite a bit, I've been finding myself at Essex Market often. There are a variety of food vendors here but this spot spoke to me as it seems to be one of the healthier options. I popped in for a weekday for a lunch and enjoyed it upstairs in the seating area. It doesn't get too crowded so if you need to grab and go that's also an option. I got the chicken wrap which comes in a tortilla and it was so good i got it again the very next day lol. It's really a perfect lunch item as well since its super balanced, easy to eat, and filling! It's also quite authentic and reminded me of the döner i had in germany!

Yelp
Location - This place sit inside the historic Essex Market as a vendor station. Essex market has a nice ambiance but is pretty dead later in the day around dinner time, it seems more like a lunch spot since they close early. Efficient service - I ordered for pick up and it was ready when I got there. Delicious - The chicken was incredibly tasty flavorful and tender. I loved all the textures and freshness that the veggies on top of the warm rice brought. The white yogurt sauce on top is perfection! You really can't go wrong here.

Yelp
The best place to eat inside Essex market! We got the donor kebab and it was pricey (not by NYC standards) but huge! Definitely enough for two people to share. Lots of vegetables and meat and with great flavor. When I arrived around lunch time on a Saturday there was no line and no wait. My kebab was started on right away and was finished in 5 minutes. Great service and great food!

Yelp
Service was pretty inconsiderate. They had no customers. I was the first person to order a kebab. 4 customers follow me shortly. They all get their orders before me after 10 minutes. After my olrder is finally ready, I mention to them how did I get my order AFTER all of the other customers that were behind me. Citing there was a mix up in the machine. Not reasonable. Only then I get a Luke warm apology. Never again. The food does look good though. Such a turn off.

Yelp
Super delicious and super filling!! The crisp on my sandwich was amazing. I shared my sandwich and was full with the half that I had, so definitely something that can be split

Yelp
Came at busy weekday lunch time. Supposedly prime turnaround time. Pros: Salads and sauces felt fresh. Cons: Meat. Was measured out of container, not cut from the skewer. Skewer was not rotating or showing any signs of being actively cooked. Perhaps it's just for show? Meat texture and taste was as if it were sauted, not grilled. Thumbs down from me...

Yelp
The guys behind the counter were nice and friendly. And the 2 done Kebabs we had were really tasty. But there was virtually no meat whatsoever. I would think 3-4 times the amount they put in (chicken & beef) would be enough to balance all the other veggies and sauces. So they need to put in 4 times the meat. Loved the bread, though! It was worth a try, but we won't go back.

Yelp
Great fast casual spot with fantastic doner meat cooked to perfection! Flavors were good and it was the perfect lunch!

Yelp
Was in the area to shop at Trader Joe's Essex Crossing so came to Essex Market for lunch. The chicken over rice was delicious and a step up from the typical street meat gyro guy. I loved the way the chicken was seasoned with something similar to cinnamon or cardamom. The flavors of the meat, rice, pickled cabbage, onions and cucumbers melded really well together for a satisfying lunch. I'll definitely be back to try more menu items.

Yelp
As a real german I have to say that this doesn't taste like a German Döner Kebab at all. The taste is okay but it definitely doesn't taste like Döner. Meat needs to be beef and garlic sauce is missing.

Yelp
God this place is great. I just finished my sandwich and I can't wait to go back.

Kim K.

Yelp
Delicious! Ramon made me a chicken rice bowl the right way! Wow! Full of flavors! I'll be back.

Yelp
Really tasty but for someone who actually lived in Germany, I was so disappointed that there is no falafel. It is NOT like what you get in Germany and to me having Berlin in its title is false advertising. I went there bc I was hoping for the classic Döner shop and was just sad. I appreciate the concept and how truly good the food tasted but its advertised as authentic. In Germany, I never paid more than 5€ so $16 dollars is crazy. I understand its NYC but again this is not like in Berlin bc Döner to Germany is the Deli sandwich to NYC. Again it was very good and very close but any place in Germany would at least offer falafel. To end on a positive note the Club Mate made me happy, that is very German.

Yelp
Nothing too negative to report on this place. They were running a great special on Uber Eats so I hopped on the train. Had the classic chicken Schwarma and the bowl. In all, solid food at a good price. Would likely stop by if I was in the area.

Yelp
Authentic. Lived many years in Germany and these were my fast food of choice. A kebab joint on every corner. But I have not found a place in the US that does it right. Until I visited this place. Wow. Will definitely do it again.

Yelp
Not your typical Doner Kebab place! It was different. It was really really good. Very juicy and tasty rice bowl platter. I ordered for lunch and they were very quick with delivery. I had an issue and they had to re-deliver me a different order and they took care of it in such a customer service professional way! Thank You!!

Yelp
This was my first time at a Kotti Berliner Döner Kebab. It was a Saturday at 2pm. I made my way passed the other vendors to get to their station. I ordered the Doner Kebab which is a food item that I've never eaten before. I carried my meal down the stairs in the crowded Essex Market and found a ledge where I could stand and eat. Seating is not easy to come by. The sandwich was good considering it's German food which lacks spices that kick. I found it very filing.

Tim S.

Yelp
I work near Essex Market. The only thing good about being back in the office is hitting this spot for lunch. Usually order the sandwich or bowl with chicken-- but have more recently been getting the vegetarian version which I think I like even more. Food is always fresh and staff so friendly. Makes my day.

Yelp
Guess it's difficult to have a rotating meat Cone in Covid times. I like seeing the meat cut of the cone and not taken from a metal container. In general would be nice to see the other ingredients on display so one could control the amount. A little too loaded (with sauce) for the bread, which was the closest thing to a Döner here. The inner part of the bread is too thin and the whole thing just falls apart. Somehow the balance or choice of ingredients is not right and it doesn't come together as good tasting Döner. The price of almost 15$ is hefty considering doener is considered "cheap" Street food

Yelp
This spot is so good! If you're in any doubt, try their slider for $5 and you won't be disappointed. This is authentic, high-quality and not to be missed my friends.

Yelp
I don't know why there are not more reviews on this, it just opened in Essex Market. it's off the charts. the bread is crazy fresh, the chicken is so flavorful. it's expensive, but its BIG. it will fill you up, they dont skimp on anything, including the dope veggies
