KOUKLA ESPRESSO BAR

Along with the usual espresso and beverage menu, this café surprisingly offers a lot of food options (pastries, sandwiches, acai bowls, and salads) which is more than I was expecting for an espresso bar. I got a large Matcha Latte ($5), Blueberry Scone ($?? ), Caramel Donut ($4), and a Banana Bread ($7). The Matcha Latte was creamy and nutty and delicious. It was also such a bargain at five bucks! The Blueberry Scone was tender and flaky. I actually don’t know how much I paid for this one as I forgot to grab the receipt when I left. The Caramel Donut was pretty good. It was dipped in icing and topped with (I think) mini caramel balls. It was sweet but not necessarily caramelly, if that makes sense. The Banana Bread was pretty good, moist and sweet. The café itself was lovely and I noticed a couple of patrons sitting with their laptops working. And I totally get it- the space was quiet, not too crowded and had great drinks I’ve mentally added this place to my list of good spots to get some work done without being bothered.

Koukla Espresso Bar is like a trip to a European cafe. Great coffee, croissants, breakfast sandwiches, snd focaccia sandwiches for lunch. I love Aperitvo Hour with a Negroni or glass of wine with some prosciutto and cheese. Great vibe too!

Happy-to-see-you vibe. Great coffee, espresso. Beans roasted in Brooklyn; currently a blend of Guatemala and Columbia—they (the beans) get along. It’s solid, beats the Birch blend in my book. Welcome to the neighborhood, Greece transported meets modern coffee. Play Portes, Plakoto … or just vanilla Backgammon. I can vouch for the Burrata and Omelette. Kalimera!

We love this espresso bar, a perfect spot for coffee lovers, offering expertly brewed espresso, lattes. My girlfriend had strawberry matcha latte. We liked Koukla.

We’ve been waiting for the opening of this lovely cafe for a month, and we made it to be the second customer! Very spacious, cozy, and elegant decor. We tried the cheese pie and cappuccino, very legit and I look forward to trying the focaccia menu next time 😋

This place is adorable and as someone else mentioned, it’s like being transported to a European cafe where they also have wine, etc 😉 The food was amazing, had the Mediterranean sandwich which was so unique but flavors blended very well, and the banana oat latte which was such a nice surprise. Plan to go back for the focaccia. The variety, the coziness, and the super nice people…makes you want to hang out here for hours. Can’t wait to try the rest of the menu. Although there’s another cafe down a few blocks but this one is class and tranquility personified. Will definitely be back. Hope they never change <3

Beautiful coffee shop just at the corner of 36ave ! Pastries are delicious and amazing coffee 😍 Well decorated, good music and vibe. Staff is so friendly ! I recommend

In a world of a thousand coffee shops popping up every day everywhere, this Koukla stands out as a great place of hospitality and service( Vicky owner is superb). Cool food options too for a coffee place (not just pastries and cookies).. looking forward coming back..

Came here on a snowy day. Cappuccino was served in a cute mug albeit not hot enough. A decent croissant. Small space, extensive menu.

Tried Koukla! Saw it pop up recently when I walked past and finally made it today. Barista was very nice, wasn't super busy on a Monday morning. Seems like they have a ton of pastries and things to eat. Wasn't crazy about my latte with hazelnut but I want to go back to try the banana oat latte or a matcha!

Wow, the service was fantastic, and the pastries were even better! It's a new café that just opened up, and I popped in for the first time tonight. I think I even met the owner, a wonderful lady. She was so kind and let me and my friends try a chocolate muffin. I'm giving it a 10/10 and would definitely recommend it! I also tried the turkey avocado sandwich, which was very flavorful. It's a great spot to sit down, grab a coffee or tea, and enjoy a pastry.
