OMG totally delicious and fresh food. The ribs were damn good, tender, and good bbq sauce. Now the fried chicken was hotttt, fresh fried, and tasty. Good cold beer. The service was friendly and fast. I will 100% go back.

This was my 1st time here and the service was absolutely the amazing! The food was so delicious, right down to my glass of Tea. My waitress was so kind and was open to making suggestions to us. The wings were great and the fresh hot waffles were delicious! She made sure we were happy with our dinner choices. I asked for my dessert to go, she wrapped it up tightly for a safe trip home. When I asked for more Tea they even gave me a cup to go! As we left she gave my Son another suggestion for our "next" visit! I wish I would of gotten her name. We are looking forward to our next visit. Thank you for making us feel welcome as if we were "regulars" 😊

Stopped here while my wife was seeing her doc at the Kaiser around the corner from this restaurant. So glad we did! Delicious homestyle food with friendly service. The stuffed French toast and biscuits and gravy are amazing. The restaurant has an old diner feel which I appreciate. I loved the bench swings in the waiting area, reminded me of a dock at waterfront park in Charleston, S.C. that has these swings down to the end. Highly recommend!

The food was good. Tried the alligator sausage. It was pretty good. The atmosphere was ok, sort of reminded us of granny's house. But there was a VERY large party (about 20+ people) half adults and half kids that made the atmosphere extremely loud. It wasn't so much the adults, but the kids (around middle school age) were running around in the restaurant, hollering and playing, unchecked by their accompanying adults. It was so loud I considered going elsewhere. If my child hadn't asked if we could stay, I'm sure I would have. The combination of the unpleasant atmosphere and the waitstaff forgetting my three times ordered water and other ordered items leads me to believe I probably would not go back there again. But I'd say give em a try. The food wasn't bad.

My co- workers and I were looking for a good Chicken and waffle place to eat in Riverside, when my Supervisor stumble upon a photo of a delicious plate of chicken and waffle so we went to the website and saw all of the deliciousness. So we decided to give it a try and can I say OMG we all loved it! 😍 They chicken was seasoned well and the waffle was amazing. We all enjoyed. We love Riverside and try to find at least one mom and pop place to stop heading in or out of the area. This time we found Kountry Folls and so glad we did! When I say right off the freeway i mean it. So easy for us to get right back on the road after such a tasty meal. We love a good breakfast in our house and these portions kept us full and happy all the way home. Cute and cozy inside it really gives off that country feel. From the old school bar seating or the swing type benches in the waiting area. Service was awesome and we didn’t have to ask for anything. I’m typically not a fan of hash browns, but they were seasoned well and I ate them all. My daughter ordered what I think was called the farmers breakfast with hash browns and biscuits and gravy on top. She couldn’t finish them all but she tried her best. My son said his chicken friend chicken was some of the best he’s had. The potions were huge. Great stop. Have you been?

Had breakfast here on Saturday and ordered it on Sunday for dinner. That is how great this place is. The chicken tenders are amazing since they are made fresh. The eggs and top sirloin was great, meat cooked to a perfect medium as requested. The pancakes slapped since they were light and fluffy. My partner got the Dave's bigger breakfast, which was massive (Eggs, a Waffle, Bacon, Sausage, home-fried potatoes, biscuits, and gravy). For Sunday's dinner, we had fried Chicken and half a rack of ribs, the hot turkey sandwich, and of course the chicken tenders. For the fried chicken, you have the option of having it sauced up with BBQ, omg it brought me right back to my childhood. This place is a definite must-try if you're in the area.

Listen. A good down home breakfast place is priceless if you can find one. This place is phenomenal. I feel like I stepped into my Grandmas house in the early 90s with the vintage furnishings and it just added to the cozy experience. We came in October and their Pumpkin Pancakes are the best pancakes we've ever had. Highly recommend this place.

We came to this restaurant on Super Bowl Sunday 2025 with a party of 8 for my mothers birthday. We expected it to be busy, so when they quoted us a 20-30 minute wait, we were fine with it. Those 30 minutes, plus some, went by and a tall young man calls us and offers to sit us in two booths, sitting back to back. We gratefully decile as we are celebrating my mother and we would like to sit together. At this point smaller parties are getting little to no wait time and we understand that a party of 2-4 is easier to seat than a party of 8. Now, I'm not sure if he was a host or some sort of management but he approaches us 15 mins later and tells my mother to follow him and he would show her where he was offering to seat us, I followed and again he offered two booths apart from each other. Or we could wait a little longer for a table for 8 that would become available soon. We told him we were in no rush and would like to sit together. We walk back to the front and we notice that smaller parties that arrived well after us have been sat in tables next to each other that could have otherwise been pushed together for a larger party. Again, we attempt to be patient as my mother really wanted to eat here. The straw that broke the camels back was when an hour and 20 have passed and we have yet to be sat. A party of 7 walks up and get sat immediately where we were told we would be sat at. When I pressed the issue, this poor excuse for a manager or host chuckles and tells me "oh yeah I forgot" and proceeds to offer us two separate booths again. I've never seen such a pathetic display of customer service nor of front of the house coordination. I unfortunately did not catch that young man's name but if he's in charge of any portion of operations then this restaurant must be desperate because this man does not know up from down.

We usually come here for a work related celebration... birthdays of colleagues, work anniversaries, etc. My group works night shift so we come here straight from work and have breakfast. We esp. love the Wingdings, waffle and the hot chocolate or Oreo shake. Food: I can say that it is consistent. Every time we come here, it tastes the same and quality is great. Service: Fast and friendly. Ambiance: We like staying at the back coz it gives a honey vibe. It doesn't feel like a restaurant.

I can't believe I have never graded this place, this restaurant has always been a go to for Fried chicken in Riverside. I was introduced to this place by some family a long time ago and I always come back to it. This restaurant is definitely a "home style" type of restaurant with its service, environment, and food. From breakfast to dinner no matter what you get the food is fantastic. I know it's been awhile since I've had a plate of Fried Chicken and I'm glad to say it's still delicious and moist. As well as the cornbread muffin.

Service is very friendly, everyone has such a pleasant attitude. Food choices are numerous, and various items. The chicken fried steak is my go to but many other items are just as tempting.

I was greeted when I walked in, and seated right away I ordered the "Fried Pickles" however I really can't give an HONEST REVIEW on them because I don't feel it would be Fair to this ESTABLISHMENT.... Below you will see the photo of them .. the "Presentation" was Horrible... besides they were SUPER CRISPY aka a bit BURNT... but I'd give them another try on a different day....as far as the "AMBIANCE" it was nice,, made you feel right at home.. a "cozy" little spot..

Very good food! Service was slow but I think because the after holiday rush. Maybe they didn't anticipate the crowd off from work and school. Place is country vibe.

We went for breakfast and the first thing that stood out to us as we looked at the menu is how much of it was made in house at the restaurant instead of pre-done and just warmed up by them. The Kountry hash is a perfect example of a hash that was clearly mixed together and cooked well for the order and definitely not from a can which if you're a corned beef hash fan you know is way too common. The bacon and home potatoes were very good. The pancakes filling. But the biscuits and gravy were the favorites, not too dense but didn't get soggy even with the ample tasty serving of gravy. Service was friendly, the wait not too long and coffee refills timely. A comfortable spot for a weekend breakfast with good serving sizes for the value.

Great value for the money. Food portions were plentiful. If you are looking for great value, the farmer starter meal is under $10.

The food was pretty good. I loved the restaurant it felt homey. I have to say that the service was not the best by our waiter Cesar. In the other hand they should give that position to Juan. He was amazing, friendly and attentive.

Super cute, homey cafe with good food and excellent service. Employees are wonderful, attentive, and kept my coffee hot & topped off. Although a bit pricey, they do have a breakfast specials menu (valid weekdays 6am-noon). Portions are large enough for two people to share. I had the "kountry fried steak" which came with two eggs any style and two sides (I opted for toast and hash browns with onions) and my husband had the steak and eggs with the same hash browns and opted for the waffle ($3 up charge). Highly recommend!

Food was decent service by Juan spectacular I highly recommend for him to be a server has great service because our server Cesar was not the best. I felt very welcome and well taken care of by Juan that it made up for the server bad service that's why I gave it a 4 stars.

Hidden gem! Local spot hidden off the freeway near the Motel 6. The parking is limited. The service is excellent and the meal portions are big! I enjoyed the delicious breakfast, great taste. Our waitress was exceptionally good at getting our order and food to us fast.

Heuvos rancheros is my go to. We have had the pleasure of having Vanessa as our server the last few times. I feel like she needs some recognition for being knowledgable about the menu, her kind demeanor and not making you feel rushed for as busy as the place is. Food is amazing, service is stellar here and it's such a chill place to have a family breakfast. We always enjoy a weekend family meal here.

I seen plenty of mixed reviews of this place but all we got was great service and tasty breakfast. I wish I had taken more pictures but I was too hungry . I felt like I was at my aunts house, the one that I like. Definitely coming back when I'm in the area.

Was in the area to visit family and decided to stop into Kountry Folks, for a nice late breakfast with the family. From the start, I like the homestyle and family vibe here. When we arrived we waited for a few minutes for a table for 6, and immediately noticed the dessert counter at the front. After being seated with looked over the menus for a bit since none of us had been here before. Our waitress for very kind and gladly took all of our orders when ready. I didn't to go with the chicken and waffles, in the Nashville hot style, which my son chose the same meal. but opted for the Nashville hot and BBQ option. Let me just say...that meal was HUGE! Three whole chicken wings, served on top of a slice of white bread, along with pickle slices if you chose the Nashville hot option. As well a huge homestyle waffle with 4 quadrants, topped with butter and severed with a side of syrup. I know my son wasn't going to finish his, but honestly neither could I, which just meant some great left overs for the both of us. Overall: Wonderful and friendly staff and the food was absolutely delicious. Only bummer was we left to full to try any of the desserts...but maybe next time if we're in town?

Most of the people who work here have been here a LONG time. That says a lot about the owners. All the staff are amazing. So hospitable. The food is OVER THE TOP amazing. Literally the best fried chicken and country gravy I have ever eaten. Their lemon meringue pie is the best!!! Every thing I have ever ordered has been amazing.come here for exceptional service and the best comfort food!!!

The service and food were great. Very home style and friendly staff. I ordered the Sedona as an omelette with hash browns and fruit on the side. Everything was super fresh and extra hot when I got it. The hash browns were solid and the fruit was fresh cut. Also, coffee was constantly being refilled :) Overall, great spot and highly recommend!

Super friendly staff Flor was very attentive and sweet with great suggestions for our dinner. We had the excellent wing plate and ribs. Tender ribs and juicy chicken and a taste of the Nashville hot sauce WOW that elevated my wings hot and flavorful

Came here for the first time couple days ago, food was good, service was good too. The only thing I would recommend would be that the restaurant needs a deep cleaning, floors, tables and light fixtures.

Amazing Service!! Everyone is so nice and accommodating. They keep going around making sure you are good and have everything you need. Food was delicious and portions were good. Will definitely come back. Ohhh and can't forget how cute the place is!!

This place is whack. Tried for the first time this morning. Sat at the counter for a hot min and nobody asked if I'd been helped yet. Finally someone did, and moved me to a table. Apparently no counter service today. Ordered the Louisiana skillet w/sourdough toast. Got limp/soggy hash brown and burnt white toast. Then the waiter sent the bus boy to drop off the check. No thank you, no come back again, no how was your meal- nothing. He didn't say a word, just slipped the check onto the table. I've been super low maintenance and friendly, so that's just the type of service they have. I'll not spend my money here again for whack food and lack of courteous service. Plus, it was just dingy- that'd be fine if it was clean, but it didn't look clean. My table was dirty from prior diner. And I've waited tables before. This place blows. Don't understand why it's so busy, must be the catchy name.

I passed this place twice and it caught my eye! I'm a sucker for breakfast places! I went after going to Kaiser and it was amazing! Definitely recommend! I will be going again and save some room and money for pie! The waitress was so sweet and helpful! If I lived closer I would go often because I felt like I wasn't just someone paying for food! I felt welcomed!

I would always joke with my girls that we're going to go to the Old Folks restaurant, and they knew exactly where I meant. We've been hitting this joint for years. My calling it the Old Folks wasn't far off back when we first started coming, and it's still not too far off today. There's always aged people there having their meals. LoL, now I'm one of the fold. How time flies. What I like about Kountry is that you can get breakfast anytime you want. Huge breakfasts at that! No skimping here. You're going to get a country breakfast with all the extra stuff. It has taste too. No bland at hand. You're in for a treat if breakfast is what you're hankering for. I paid a call on the folks one Thursday evening for dinner. Meatloaf was on their menu, and likewise on mine. I had to get my fix. A hot plate was soon delivered to my table, and a hearty plate of food it was. Just look at the picture below. Isn't that beautiful? You've heard the saying that "the picture doesn't do it justice." Well, in this case, it does. I have a pretty good camera on my phone, and it shows it like it is (except when I take selfies, then there always seems to be a smudge on the lens). And excuse the bit of slop on the rim of the plate, I dipped my finger in the gravy, I couldn't resist. Emily Post would have smacked my hand. As you can see by that reference, I'm fully initiated into the Old Folks catagory. I think that Miss Emily would be happy to know that she's still a force in the world of manners. The meal tasted as good as depicted in the picture. It would be cool if you could do a scratch and sniff. Emily wouldn't approve, but I won't tell if you don't. Go ahead, give it a try. Quick Tip: The place is pretty busy for breakfast, especially on the weekends. Maybe that's why they serve it all day. If you miss out early, then have breakfast for lunch. Bacon gets a pass and is appropriate for anytime, day, or night. Despite what prim and proper Emily Post may preach.

I absolutely love this place! Food portions are huge and delicious! My favorite plate is the chicken with waffles. The fried chicken here is one of the best fried chicken I have ever had and I don't care for fried chicken! But I will drive out here to eat their chicken! You just try this place! And the customer service here is just so amazing, everyone is sweet and very pleasant.

The food is just the bomb! I love the people and the service and especially the food. I always order the chicken wing plate but have tried and enjoyed many different dishes off their menu. One of my favorite is the fried okra. Lawd! So good. Be back soon

The Cinnamon role french toast is everything! I went on a Saturday morning at around 9:30am and the wait for two was only 20 minutes. The service was friendly and prompt all while ensuring we had the best breakfast meal!
