This place is very trendy and always busy. It's great for hanging out and people watching. The servers are friendly and fast, and the restaurant is clean.
The hummus and the yogurt dip were good, but pretty standard. They would have been better served with warm pita or bread, rather than the lavash. Lavash is usually served with butter, fresh onion and herbs, and sumac. The blueberry pancakes were good. The grilled salmon sandwich was very good with crusty bread. Mom had the tabouleh salad, which was much more bulgar than veg, added grilled salmon for $10. Her meal was tasty, fresh and healthy.
The Sultani meal missed the mark. The chicken kabob was moist and good. The tenderloin was a bit tough, under-seasoned, and didn't look fresh. The ground beef Koobideh had a strange flavor, like too much saffron or something. It was tender, but had a rubbery component. I've had much better. It was served on lavash, with a cold sampler instead of rice. No one liked the eggplant dip, but the others were good. We also had a side of rosemary potatoes, which were too soft and had a strange flavor. We didn't like it. The owner needs to work with the cooks to teach them how Persian food should taste.
I can see why this chain is doing well. She was on the healthy vibe early on. It's a bit pricey, but they have lots of options and flavors. I will come back.
