The store location was in a plaza, so they have plenty of parking slots. We came to buy different kinds of donuts and they are all delicious. Staffs are so friendly! They also sell coffee there that will be matched perfectly with donuts. Give it a try when you are around.

I had an impressive take-out experience with my order of a dozen original glazed donuts from Krispy Kreme, despite the negative reviews from many customers. I am pleased to see that the establishment has taken steps to address previous complaints and has begun to set a new standard for great service and atmosphere. The cleanliness of the location was also noteworthy. I am grateful for the efficient and friendly service provided by the staff, and I look forward to returning in the future.

I’ve been coming to this location for the past several years usually they have way more donuts than this time around. The girl at the register was nice, I was disappointed there was no variety of donuts. I honestly think we bought all they had.

I ordered a dozen of original glazed and online it states when you buy any dozen the price us 3.17 during memorial day weekend. I get to the window and they say no it's when you buy 2 dozen. Well the website does not say 2 nor does it state when you buy another. I asked to speak to a manager and he said the same but the wording does not match what they are telling me. They dont honor or stick to their own sales ads.

I love Krispy Kreme, let me start by saying that! This location …. This location in particular…. I remember when it first opened…. It was fantastic! I’ve watched the quality slowly slip… The biggest problem I have with this location is that they don’t have any other donuts except for original, and God only knows when it’s served fresh… in fact I haven’t gotten a fresh doughnut from these people since they first opened! I have so rarely been to Krispy Kreme locations and yet I already know this is the worst one I’ve ever been to in my entire life!!! If they wasn’t so close by and convenient, I would ask why they bothered opening in the first place. The fact that they have the nerve to be expensive, if you have another location to go to, don’t bother with this one! Just do yourself a favor and don’t come here. Take it from a local. Buy your Krispy Kreme doughnuts elsewhere. Now if you need a drink maybe a coffee or lemonade, then sure come here. They also seem to have a problem keeping employees and keeping their doors open cause a little while ago they used to close at like 3pm… this place is a big problem!

There are three times I’ve arrived here after 7am when it should open at 6 (per online and posted on store windows) no one is here. It’s dark and shades are drawn. Several people are waiting outside. Maybe this store should change its hours. Or hire staff who are going to open on time.. the drive through windows has doughnuts left on the counter with no one inside. When it is open the staff are friendly.

The classic glazed donuts are fantastic. They were still warm in the box. However, the kreme filled chocolate iced donut had virtually no filling. I was a bit bummed as these are my favorite flavor and I only get to come to a Krispy Kreme every few years when traveling. The staff working the register could definitely use a refresher on customer service and the importance of greeting customers. The gentleman working the conveyer belt shouldn’t need to greet customers because no one else is paying attention.

AWFUL! Last time I was here they got my order wrong . I come months later , they have half the selection they use to . On top of that the donuts I tried to order , they were "out of" ! Never coming here again ! When I pulled up to the window the guy had his back to the window cackling w his coworkers . Turned around told me my total, got my change out , turned around again w more cackling and yelling with his coworkers , turned handed me my money , I SAID thanks he mumbled and handed me my bag. I peeked inside and there was donuts all over the floor and garbage ! Wth?!? I took one bite of all three of my donuts and threw it all away. SO gross. The glazed tasted like pure oil .

If I could rate 0 stars I would. I'm not sure whose idea it was to put a Krispy Kreme in Hillside but, they shouldn't have had the idea. They have temporary hours that of course aren't available online. Just close this location already. There's always something that involves them not being open. Remove it from the maps and close them already.

I looked up Hillside KK website to order an iced coffee and all their drinks are unavailable except for milk, fruit chillers or Coke/Sprite. What kind of donut/coffee shop is this??? Other times, the doors are locked and you have to go thru the drive thru. The staff are rude as well. This place should be put out of business and a Dunkin Donuts open at this location.

I just walked into this location and there were 5 employees working--not one bothered to ask if I needed assistance. I all but had to tap someone on the shoulder for service. I was completely ignored and rudely greeted. This is by far the worst service I have received from a KK. I will not be returning. The reviews are terrible NEW MANAGEMENT is needed!!

There's something lacking at this location. They were out of donuts today except for Hershey chocolate monstrosity that obviously no one wants. The service here is inconsistent now they do not keep donuts ready to serve. You have one job to make donuts and I assume that the original glaze is the most popular so to run out is unacceptable.

Lazy, slow employees with the temperament of a post office worker employee. Consistently rude. So if you can read between the lines on the types of people that are employed here and the type of work and quality of work that you see on a consistent basis, you'll know what I'm talking about.

This morning, Friday, August 30, 2024 hubby wanted Krispy Kreme donuts. We see the "Hot Donuts" sign on and hurry in to Krispy Kreme located at 110 S. Mannheim Road, Hillside, IL. We walk in and it smells Soooo Good. We had to stand at the register a little while until the cashier decided to come take our order. The cashier appeared to be a bit overwhelmed and he wasn't fully present. We had to repeat our order 3 times (we all were speaking English). Krispy Kreme has a special going on today which is buy a dozen donuts get another dozen for $2. We bought a dozen glazed donuts and got another dozen glazed donuts for $2. The donuts were fresh, hot, and very sweet. The restaurant needs Real Management on site. The staff is very unprofessional; they are not customer friendly. Krispy Kreme needs staff to monitor the lobby and to keep the restaurant clean. The restaurant needs to be professionally cleaned and the floors need to be mopped. The restaurant floors are dirty and very sticky; a few of the customers talked about how our shoes/sandals were sticking to the floor. A few of the tables were dirty too and the garbage needs to be emptied.

This place used to be the place where my siblings and I would meet up and grab a donut and chat. Unfortunately for the last year or so it went downhill. The employees are extremely rude and they rush you out . They always lock the doors early so they can close early , that's extremely lazy. Lastly , my order is always wrong , that's so annoying ! The staff doesn't even care that it's wrong. Finally, the place is extremely dirty and the floors are so sticky.

This location (one of the only few in Chicagoland) has some of the worst, most aggressively rude customer service I have ever experienced. I asked the woman to repeat my order in the drive thru because I couldn't hear her. She didn't, so I said my order again and she said "THATS WHAT I JUST TOLD YOU". At the window, I said, I don't really appreciate the attitude, I couldn't hear you on the speaker. She said, Ï AINT THE ONE WHO TOOK YO ORDER Then, she closed the window and made this punching motion into her hand at me?! haha All for some donuts!! I would give the Hillside location zero stars, if possible. I placed a fundraiser order with the Hillside location on April 29, with a pickup date of May 8. In the email confirming my fundraiser order, it said someone would contact me from the location within 48 hours to confirm and finalize my order. Fast forward to yesterday (May 7), and I hadn't heard from the location. I didn't know if they had my order, or even how much I owed them for my order. I attempted to call them approximately 20 times and didn't get through to a person once. At that point, I tried calling the Elk Grove Village location, just hoping to speak with someone and maybe get some information. I tried calling there 3-4 times, with no luck either. I left work yesterday at 4pm and decided that I absolutely needed to get some information from this store. I needed to know if there were going to be doughnuts to pick up, because I have people that sold doughnuts to answer to, and how much our order was going to cost so that I could get a check from the bookkeeper. At that point, the only thing that I could think to do was to drive to the location, since they are supposed to be open until 10pm (according to the Krispy Kreme website and Google). I live 103 miles (one way) from this location. When I arrived at the Hillside location, there was a sign on the door that said that they were under special hours and that that location closed at 4pm. From there, the only thing that I could think to do was call the Elk Grove Village location again, and hopefully speak with a manager. I was able to get in contact with a manager at that location and he said that he would reach out to the regional manager, and that I should call back if I didn't hear back within a couple of hours. While I was sitting in the parking lot making this call, there were several cars lined up in the drive thru lane, waiting to be helped, not knowing the store was closed. There were also several people that walked up to the door, as well. So the location was pretty busy, considering they had been closed for almost a couple of hours at that point. I drove home and didn't hear back, so I called the Elk Grove Village location again and spoke with the same manager. He said that he'd make a couple more calls and would call me back, either way. After a few minutes, he called back and said that he reached out to the regional manager and assistant regional manager but couldn't get in touch with either, and that my best bet would be to try to call the Hillside location again when they open in the morning. This person was super helpful and I appreciate their time and effort. I woke up this morning when the location opened and started calling again. I put in 20 unanswered calls to this location this morning. In a last ditch effort, I called Elk Grove Village back, hoping to speak with a manager again. I spoke with a different manager this time. Their first suggestion was that I visit the location to speak to them. After explaining the whole situation to them, they agreed that that probably wasn't feasible at this point. They said that their location could fulfill our order, but it wouldn't be ready until the early afternoon, which didn't work for our work schedule. I straight up asked this manager if I should go to this location, expecting to pick up our order, without speaking with someone and they said "no." This manager also gave me a phone number for a customer service line, which I called after this conversation. This manager was also extremely helpful. I then called the customer service number and explained this whole situation to the representative on the phone. They said they would forward this information on to the upper management of this region and that someone would probably be contacting me. As of this review, I'm still waiting to hear back from somebody. We've done this fundraiser multiple years now and it has typically run really smoothly. We also typically do really well with this fundraiser because Krispy Kreme is not local for us. After my experience this year, I will be thinking long and hard about whether or not we use Krispy Kreme again. If we do, it certainly won't be the Hillside location.

Don't bother visiting this location nor ordering from here. It's a waste of time, money and energy. I've been excited since they've moved closer here in hillside, but I'll make the trip to elk grove ANY DAY. This location constantly has issues with online, mobile or in store orders. Ranging from no glazed in stock, limited edition not at this location, and just today! I sent an online order this morning, 8am, to pick up at 6pm for pick up. They're supposed to be open 6am - 10pm. When I got there at 6, the business was closed at 4pm!!? A sign on the door said they were changing their hours to 6a-4pm since March 17th 2024. It's nearly a month later and how is this service when you close early but still allow orders to go through?! I was not called, emailed, texted nor notified any other way during this entire day while my order sat there! This business has gone downhill since their food selection has dwindled in portion, quantity, quality and availability! The area around the building was crawling with other customers trying to order, with no avail while I was trying to call customer service. They didn't know the building has been closing early and offered no solution. They were not able to forward my order, even though I have already paid, drove here, nor can they guarantee my order was even completed! I can't pick it up tomorrow when they reopen? They cannot offer me anything else but wasted time, money and gas! All I can say it Krispy Kreme is a hoax. Don't hold your breath for their hot light to ever shine again. It's best left as a memory while it can.

The customer service at this location is not even one star . The lobby is never open , but they have their friend sitting in the seat just hanging out . The manger is has being seen sleeping on the back and is some times called to void tickets . And they will tell you that they have to get the manager to void it , so the car line is always long and you can never see what they have on the shelf to buy . This is the only location close to my area and I rather drive to 95th st rather than have to deal with this location . There has been times that they just tell you there is no donuts at all . How can there be no donuts at a donut shop . They have to change all the staff and fire everyone and start with new regional manage , this location can do mutch better and is making the company look really bad .

I went to pickup my paid for online order at 1 pm. i was told i need to go through the drive through to get it. I waited over 30 minutes in line for donuts to bring to the funeral home of a police officer. There were plenty of employees coming in and out. This was ridiculous. The hours posted say 6am to 10pm. What if I walked there to get my order? I was forced to leave a star.

This is not a very well run business. Their dining room is closed, I assume originally because of Covid, and has remained that way due to laziness. The front entrance has a sign with the business hours, but nothing to indicate the dining room is closed. The workers outside had to tell me this along with about 5 other groups of people that showed up. Why not just put a clearly written sign up lol? The food was decent at least. I was given a small coffee when I ordered a medium. The person at the drive thru was also not very friendly either. I'll never really understand why businesses get annoyed at doing the very thing that keeps them in business. Unfortunately, the reason for these issues is very obvious and unlikely to change.

I had a taste for a Krispy Cream donut this morning and decided to stop. This location is currently only open for drive through. I placed my order and received exactly what I had requested. I have read the Yelp reviews and can relate to the service. This location is by Mannheim Road and I-290. I was able to get in and out in no time.

My daughter loves donuts, so I wanted her to try something different. First, the front door was locked. I went to the front door, seeing that it was only 4PM and it was open. When I came into the restaurant it was dirty. Thick dust on top of the donut case. The manager, I'm assuming just stared at me. I said can I order a dozen donuts...literally no expression. Just staring at me. I repeated myself. She yells, I'm listening! I ordered my donuts and was reminded that they close, so not to stay. Closing at 4PM on a Friday? Hours listed stated 9pm. Either way, donuts hard and crusty. Dirty place and super rude employees. Don't bother with this place. I wonder if the franchise owner can read?!? If this was my business, I would find a new manager pronto.

You just take them off the shelf and put them in a box. Whoever owns this place should spend some time there. You're paying people who aren't working.

We drove 10 miles to come to this Krispy Kreme so some children we were babysitting could get a chance to see the donuts being made. On a Saturday afternoon, in a busy shopping mall. The hours are listed online, and on the door, as 6 am - 10 pm. We pulled up around 5 pm and the lobby door was locked. There were about 5 employees all sitting at a table with seriously, a huge amount of donuts, just eating. We waved at them like, are you open? Two of them got up, laughed at us, and started making driving motions with their hands, like, telling us to use the drive thru. They didn't even come close enough to the door to have a conversation. My boyfriend got a little testy because we didn't want to disappoint the kids, and he shouted, are the hours on the door wrong? Can we please come in and buy donuts? One of the female employees started yelling and cussing at us and gave us the finger. I'm no saint, but I don't think you should be cussing at a 10 year old who just wants to buy a donut at your store. It was ridiculous. I don't know why they are so confrontational. The entire shopping center was full of cars, and I can guarantee you that plenty of other people were turned away. Also, not a single car in the drive thru. Closing the doors at 5 pm on a Saturday afternoon? Good luck keeping that store open, especially since the employees are a bunch of jerks.

Drive-thru board and ordering system broken 50% of the time. No hot donuts EVER. Staffed with a bunch of kids. Absolutely Terrible. This location needs to be taken away from whomever owns it or manages it because they are giving the brand an awful reputation and they dont give a sh**. Unfortunately this is the ONLY location within a 50 mile radius. I cant give them my business anymore.

It never occurred to me to check the yelp rating for a Krispy Kreme, but judging by these terrible reviews, I probably should have. If I had, I could have avoided my terrible experience at this location. The staff at this Kripsy Kreme are extremely rude and unhelpful. We only come to Krispy Kreme for the hot doughnuts so when we dropped by and saw that they were coming off the line, I asked if we could have some of the fresh doughnuts coming off the line. The cashier said yes. But of course the woman who put my order together just grabbed some doughnuts off the rack. I told her that I wanted the fresh doughnuts. She lied and told me that they were. I told her I saw her pull them off the rack. She said those were still warm. I opened the box to show her that they were not. She told me that there was nothing that she could do. Ridiculous. Maybe it's the kid in me, but I still have a soft spot for the hot doughnuts from Krispy Kreme. But this location is terrible, so just get some doughnuts from Dunkin and microwave them for 10 seconds. This location is truly awful.

Wishing I could provide a zero star. This establishment is a joke!! They a very poorly managed. ALWAYS understaffed. Sells ice cold donuts that were left over from the day or days before. Also, they NEVER have the donuts that are advertised. Kept the inside of the store closed. Had only drive thru open for online and drive up orders. Long slow line. Late on time that online receipt says your food should be ready.

03-24-24. Out of original glazed donuts. How is this even possible. I thought I'd just wait for them. There is a middle aged black woman getting the dough ready. Turtles move faster. Dragging her feet. I think it's kind of a big deal when you are out of your main donut. Everything is moving at snails pace. Leaving and going to Dunkin. It's obvious this is going to take a long time. The last 3 times I've been here there have been issues. Really pathetic.

I visited on Wednesday, May 1st at about 6:15 am. Doors were locked but the sign said they opened at 6am. I went through the drive through and they said they don't have any donuts. I drove a long way to this location that morning. It was a very frustrating experience. I will not be back. Fool me once...

Super tasty and light weight donuts. I enjoy the traditional glazed donuts although I do suggest to try the other flavored donuts. Get a variety pack for you and your family to try out. It seems light in weight although it has delightful sugary taste to it. It's truly different from other donuts. I would suggest to get ones that a fresh and made to sit after a few hours. It's seems that one that come out fresh from the oven are very light and almost too warm; this is just my opinion. There are only a few in Illinois and so you need to get out and give this place a try. You might be surprised that there is a waiting line in the drive thru area. Best to go early in the morning just before they open. It taste like nothing you have had before. Check out my other reviews and smash a thumb up on the pictures and review if you get anything spark of interest or gave you some info that would change your mind.

If you want some hot, fresh, melt in your mouth glazed donuts, Krispy Kreme is the answer! The dozen donuts were perfect and it was hard to only eat one at a time. I only wish they had more locations. The Hillside location had fast and friendly service. I will most definitely be back!! 5+ stars from this girl!

CHEAPER BY THE DOZEN(S) Why pay full price for a fresh box o' donuts when you can get it for just $1? That's the question I asked myself as I patiently waited in line at this Krispy Kreme on a chilly Thursday morning in December. Most of the KK's in the area vanished some years ago, but there's a couple stores still left on the far south side and one in Elk Grove Village, in addition to this one in Hillside. 12/12/19 was decreed "Day of the Dozen" at Krispy Kreme locations throughout the USA, whereby upon purchasing a dozen of their doughnuts at full price, you could get 12 of their original glazed for only a buck. That's a great deal to draw people in, essentially savings of $9 per transaction. I was none too surprised to see a long line of cars in the drive-thru, nor was I shocked to discover that 50 people were milling around the inside, most either waiting to place an order or waiting to receive their hot-off-the-assembly-line yeasty treats. They had two registers open to handle the volume of customers. Employees were working fairly efficiently, considering that the speed of the DonutMaker3000™ was the limiting factor. They weren't rude or anything, but they looked totally bored out of their minds. Once I got my two dozen donuts, I hightailed it out the door and never looked back. * TL;DR * Though I caught some glimpses of why this Krispy Kreme is the lowest-rated of all the Chicagoland locations (currently sitting at an underwhelming 2-1/2 stars), I didn't really experience too much of that vitriol on my visit. It's not likely I'll return here anytime soon, unless it's for another BOGO-style promotion. If you get a hankering for their classic glazed variety and don't feel like dealing with Dunkin, consider making the trip here. Take it from me, there's no substitute for the real thing.

This morning, I encountered an employee named Mari whose behavior was shockingly rude and unprofessional. Upon arriving at the drive-thru, I was informed by Mari that the establishment was not due to open for another hour. Despite my attempt to inquire further, Mari consistently interrupted me, displaying a blatant disregard for customer courtesy and basic communication etiquette. This repeated and discourteous behavior not only reflects poorly on Mari but also on Krispy Kreme as a whole. Regrettably, due to this distressing encounter, I have decided to cease patronizing your establishment. Furthermore, the irregular operating hours and frequent closures of the Hillside location only exacerbate the frustration and inconvenience experienced by customers. It is disheartening to witness such a lack of professionalism and disregard for customer satisfaction. In light of this incident, I urge management to take immediate action to address the behavior of employees and to ensure consistent and satisfactory service standards. Failure to do so may result in further reputational damage and loss of customer loyalty. As a consumer, I expect and deserve to be treated with respect and courtesy. Regrettably, my recent encounter at Krispy Kreme Hillside has left me with no choice but to seek alternative establishments where my patronage is valued and respected. Trash. Elk Groves location is better.

It's been weeks, but the lobby is still closed. There's no reason as to why (some say staffing issues). That means it's drive thru only. Never been a fan of drive thrus mostly due to inconsistency of communication on both sides. It's important to note that I saw an employee eating her lunch in the window by the sign, initially confusing me about if the lobby was even open. I also arrived on National Coffee Day which gave members a free coffee and donut. After a few minutes of waiting at the drive thru menu, I was greeted with a combination grunt/groan. I ordered a small coffee and a seasonal donut (maple pecan cheesecake donut). I didn't have to wait too long, however when I pulled up, I was asked if I ordered the dozen glazed. I clarified that I did not. It was the same man from the speaker he seemed to talk in an apathetic mumble. He handed me my order in an odd way, giving me both the coffee cup and the bag together in one hand, causing me to have to hold it strangely without dropping the bag or squeezing the lid off the coffee. I don't know how this happened, but the donut, which is suppos ed to have filing according to the website and promo material, did not. The coffee had cream and sugar in it, and I had asked for none. TLDR: Lobby has been closed for weeks, employees present as apathetic, donut aren't made properly, order was wrong. Not sure if I'm going to come here again.

Ok, here we go, I'm completely confused as to why this "Hot Donuts" light has been out for a minimum of 8 months! Customers shouldn't have to wait in a long line, drive up and ASK if there are hot donuts. When I was in the Army, if we saw something that needed to be corrected, we corrected it. You see trash...pick it up; somethings not working...try and fix it or find someone who can. It shows me there's not a sense of pride at this establishment. When you know better you do better. So I hope someone in management reads this. Otherwise, great donuts and employees are professional. The trick is to figure out when they're hot.

8:20am on a Saturday morning. Pulled into the drive thru and we were immediately greeted with "just want to let you know we have no donuts." We clarified, "NO donuts at all??" "Right. We don't have any." With our two little guys in the back seat wide eyed and on the verge of tears, we were prepared to wait a bit and asked "about how long until you have them?" and the response was "I don't know. I can't give you a time." The owner of this franchise location should be mortified.

My first time at this location and literally showed up 15 min to closing last night. Drove an hour to stop here before seeing my niece. Darius was patient and understanding...he went above and beyond. Great hire manager. He definitely need a raise.

Krispy knows we like them doughnuts, but the staffffff. It's SMH atttt alll the times I have been to this one, it just never improves customer service. The drive thru is the only open always because I understand short staffed. The situation is that you pull up, they don't ask you how can they help it's more of a what, or wtf you want attitude. Then they don't repeat order, they get rude, they don't tell you the total. You pull up to the window and nobody knows the order, the total is not given everything has to be asked and repeated multiple times- due to the staff talking crap about us the customer being annoyed at the customer service. It needs to change, imagine not being from Chicago coming to this crap ass services. If they don't like their job just because it's people that know themselves from childhood - bla bla always the story. have customer service etiquete.

Krispy Kreme has delicious donuts; and who does not like a donut? Hint: If You do not like them, do not say it out loud. People will TURN on You. It's the same thing as not liking puppies. Now, let's get to the business at hand: Coffee. It can make or break said donut. KK, your coffee is Horrible, horrifically horrible. Please joint partner w/ Maxwell House or Tim Horton's, please. A donut without good coffee is sad, disappointing, and probably lonely.

Worst run Krispy Kreme I have ever been to. People here are rude and unresponsive. Most entitled employees I have ever met. Will never come here again. It's a shame because we were excited that Krispy Kreme was back in Chicago.

This is the only Krispy Kreme location close on my way to work. Every time, every time I go here even after ordering online they don't have my donuts. This is the 2nd day they canceled my order because they didn't have 3 of the flavors that were available to order online. Yesterday same thing and they told me a 20 min wait on glazed! WHAT DO YALL HAVE???

Just visited here this evening, pull up to the drive through and ask to place my order only to be interrupted with "we don't have donuts." Huh? No apology. Asked when they'll have more "uhhh maybe tomorrow." Like huh? Why are you open? Why isn't there a sign? Why aren't you at least apologetic? So wild.
