"From its linen canopy to its wooden shelves filled with Greek wines, there’s an inviting rustic-chic vibe to this large Greek restaurant – enhanced by the presence of a homely fireplace. The team know how to put their guests at ease and are happy to tell you the story behind each authentic dish. If you want a taste of proper taramasalata without leaving London, this is one of the best places to be – and the ‘Greek Olive Oil Experience’ is a brilliant way to start. Ensure you save room for the 'karidopita' chocolate and walnut cake with ‘kaimaki’ ice cream." - Michelin Inspector

Krokodilos is a forgettable Greek restaurant in Kensington - Review - London - The Infatuation

"Krokodilos—with its perfectly polished floor-to-ceiling windows and gorgeous artwork—falls short in the taste department. This Greek restaurant off Kensington High Street has the heavy curtains, linen lamp shades, and impressive bar with bottles lining an entire wall, to make anyone want to spend an evening in the fancy-feeling dining room. But when it comes to the food, it leaves a lot to be desired. photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch Pause Unmute Starting with the ‘Greek olive oil experience’ that’s poured tableside for an underwhelming show. It’s about as exciting as receiving socks for your birthday. The starters are better than the mains, so focus on Greek salads and spanakopita flatbreads for a light dinner rather than going all out with things like delicate confit cod topped with an overpowering vinegar-heavy sauce, or a tomatoey prawn saganaki with barely any prawns. Inside, it’s a mix of old Kensington locals who likely have more money than taste buds, friends all dressed up for a bougie birthday dinner, and the odd couple with a 20-year age gap and an appetite for mediocre grilled calamari. Food Rundown Greek Salad A stand-up Greek salad, get this for the table. photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch ‘Spanakopita’ Flat Bread This was on the specials menu, and it was also the best thing we ate. So if it happens to be on, know that it’s a tangy, salty flatbread that should definitely be ordered. photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch Confit Cod If you order this, make sure that the sauce comes on the side. Without it, it’s a perfectly nice, light cod dish with creamy mash topped with crispy sourdough crumbs. The sauce ruins all of that with its intense vinegar-y flavour. photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch" - Rianne Shlebak

London’s New Restaurant Openings

"It’s all about family-style feasts at this Greek restaurant in Kensington, where you’ll find wild goat and lamb-filled dolmadakia to share. But it’s the five types of Greek olive oil and sourdough to start that’s got us really excited." - team infatuation

Krokodilos in Kensington is a standout choice for modern yet authentic Greek dining in London. The atmosphere is warm, refined and beautifully designed — the perfect setting for a memorable meal. The real highlight is Chef Angelos Togias, whose creativity and precision elevate every dish. His balance of traditional Greek flavours with contemporary techniques results in food that is both comforting and sophisticated. You can truly taste the quality and intention behind every plate. Exceptional food, attentive service and a stunning ambiance — a must-visit.

Had dinner at Krokodilos and, honestly, I’m still recovering. The wine list? A masterpiece. Not just Greek — a curated world tour in a single menu. And the steak… unreal. The kind of steak that ruins all future steaks because nothing will ever compare. Krokodilos isn’t just a restaurant — it’s a whole mood. Already plotting my return. 🥩🍷✨

Krokodilos delivers an excellent mix of Greek classics with a modern touch, all designed for sharing. The space is beautifully done - spacious, perfectly lit, and decorated in a way that feels both contemporary and cozy. Service is outstanding: attentive without intruding, and paired with background music and well-placed tables that make conversation easy and private. The food was a highlight across all courses: spanakopita and Greek salad that tasted fresh and full of flavor, lamb kebab and shrimp mains that were cooked and presented perfectly, and a lemon dessert that was creamy yet refreshing. Even the house-made sparkling green tea stood out - light, crisp, and unique. Krokodilos feels carefully thought through in every detail, making it a real pleasure to dine here. Quietly rated: worth stopping.

Absolutely loving this restaurant! My husband and I are quite picky usually but we literally finished every single dish!!! The service was impeccable as well. Special thanks to Christian! What a wonderful evening we had ❤️

Went for an evening stroll and passed by this restaurant with an outdoor patio sitting/dining area.Decided to have a glass of wine. Ordered the greek red which turned out to be lovely. Glanced through the menu and got hungry!the wild goat seems too interesting to miss! Jeff was more than willing to accommodate me for dinner without making any reservations. I will definitely come back when I am in London the next time!

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Krokodilos. Traditional Greek recipes are deconstructed and reimagined in a quicker à-la-cart way, but still maintain their core characteristic flavors. Fresh Ingredients along with good service completed the night nicely. Portokalopita is a must!

Such a gem of a restaurant. Gorgeous atmosphere and just surrounded by big tables all having a great time. The food was amazing, so nice to not have a generic copy and paste menu for once. The chef is creative but everything still so delicious. Loved the flat breads, the spicy feta dip, great Greek salad, red mullet and monkfish with avolemomo sauce. Will be back to try the goat!

A place that feels like home. I’ve been to Krokodilos twice now, and both visits were a true pleasure. The food is generous, flavourful, and clearly made with care. The langoustine with orzo sauce was hands-down my favourite — rich, comforting, and perfectly balanced. And the flatbreads? Warm, soft, and impossible to stop eating. Another one worth mentioning the pastisio, with ox tail ragù and graviera bechamel, to die for. As per the desserts, tarta lemoni is a very refreshing choice for this spring. The homemade yoghurt outstanding. The atmosphere is cosy and welcoming, with friendly service that makes you feel looked after without ever being too much. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to linger a little longer. Already looking forward to my next visit.
