"From its linen canopy to its wooden shelves filled with Greek wines, there’s an inviting rustic-chic vibe to this large Greek restaurant – enhanced by the presence of a homely fireplace. The team know how to put their guests at ease and are happy to tell you the story behind each authentic dish. If you want a taste of proper taramasalata without leaving London, this is one of the best places to be – and the ‘Greek Olive Oil Experience’ is a brilliant way to start. Ensure you save room for the 'karidopita' chocolate and walnut cake with ‘kaimaki’ ice cream." - Michelin Inspector

London’s New Restaurant Openings

"It’s all about family-style feasts at this Greek restaurant in Kensington, where you’ll find wild goat and lamb-filled dolmadakia to share. But it’s the five types of Greek olive oil and sourdough to start that’s got us really excited." - team infatuation

A place that feels like home. I’ve been to Krokodilos twice now, and both visits were a true pleasure. The food is generous, flavourful, and clearly made with care. The langoustine with orzo sauce was hands-down my favourite — rich, comforting, and perfectly balanced. And the flatbreads? Warm, soft, and impossible to stop eating. Another one worth mentioning the pastisio, with ox tail ragù and graviera bechamel, to die for. As per the desserts, tarta lemoni is a very refreshing choice for this spring. The homemade yoghurt outstanding. The atmosphere is cosy and welcoming, with friendly service that makes you feel looked after without ever being too much. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to linger a little longer. Already looking forward to my next visit.

I celebrated my birthday at Krokodilos restaurant in Kensington and it was truly unforgettable! The food was exceptional, every dish had a creative twist and a subtle Greek touch that made it feel both familiar and exciting. Chef Angelos is incredibly talented, his flavors, presentation, and attention to detail were impressive. The ambiance was elegant yet warm, and the service was excellent. A perfect spot for a special evening with a unique Mediterranean flair. I’ll definitely be back!

Such a gem of a restaurant. Gorgeous atmosphere and just surrounded by big tables all having a great time. The food was amazing, so nice to not have a generic copy and paste menu for once. The chef is creative but everything still so delicious. Loved the flat breads, the spicy feta dip, great Greek salad, red mullet and monkfish with avolemomo sauce. Will be back to try the goat!

What a restaurant!!!!! Don’t walk, RUN 🙈. An explosion of flavour and just the most tasty lunch I’ve been able to appreciate in a long time when travelling. The staff look after you so well and every recommendation was appreciated regarding the menu. I love the fact that they switch up the menu based on the season too :). Fresh ingredients too (love this off course) - beautifully decorated and I just love the kitchen/chef/cooking is in view. 100/10 and we can’t wait to visit again xoxox

Great new place. They do a modern take on Greek food. The food is pretty good. The only complaint I had was dessert was a bit on the sweet side, but was good nonetheless. Had a variety of dishes. I think my favorite was the flatbread. Also had the prawn saganaki and the cod. I’d like to try the rabbit and oxtail next time though! Our server was well informed. The atmosphere of the place is lovely. Definitely need to go to dinner at some point here. They have a good wine selection too.

Krokodilos – Laid-Back Excellence with a Greek Soul in Kensington In the heart of Kensington, Krokodilos is a restaurant that doesn’t shout for attention — it simply earns it. With its Greek-influenced Mediterranean menu, carefully sourced ingredients, and relaxed elegance, it brings a refreshing sense of warmth and authenticity to one of London’s most refined neighborhoods. It’s the kind of place that feels like a local secret, even as it steadily builds a loyal following. Ambience: Relaxed and Inviting with Subtle Personality Krokodilos strikes that elusive balance between effortless style and genuine comfort. The design is minimal but warm — soft lighting, natural textures, and tasteful décor that hints at the Aegean without slipping into cliché. Whether you’re seated by the front windows or at the open kitchen counter, the atmosphere remains calm, communal, and thoughtfully put together. It’s a setting that works equally well for a quiet weekday dinner, a long lunch with friends, or a spontaneous evening over wine and small plates. Food: Mediterranean Simplicity with a Decidedly Greek Touch At the heart of Krokodilos is a modern Mediterranean menu with a distinct Greek sensibility. The influence is subtle but unmistakable — from the ingredients chosen to the seasoning profile and the structural simplicity of the dishes. Expect clean, bold flavors, with a strong emphasis on olive oil, herbs, citrus, grilled elements, and fresh seasonal produce. The kitchen avoids unnecessary complication, focusing instead on precision, restraint, and a deep respect for the ingredients. This approach results in food that feels soulful and honest, but also elegant and well-composed. It’s comfort food elevated — Greek-inspired cooking filtered through a modern London lens. Drinks: Mediterranean Wines, Balanced Cocktails The wine list is compact and confident, with a strong Mediterranean leaning — and several Greek bottles that are well worth exploring. Whether you're in the mood for a bright Assyrtiko or a juicy Xinomavro, the list is curated to complement the menu’s flavor profile. Cocktails follow the same ethos: clean, seasonal, and never overdone — they’re there to lift the experience, not dominate it. Service: Professional, Warm, and Quietly Polished Service at Krokodilos is everything you’d hope for in a neighborhood favorite: attentive but unintrusive, knowledgeable but never overbearing. The team moves with quiet confidence, and the overall tone is relaxed and friendly. Whether it’s your first visit or your fifth, the hospitality feels genuine — and it makes a lasting impression. Final Verdict: Modern Greek Comfort in West London Krokodilos is an easy place to love — not because it tries to impress, but because it knows exactly what it’s doing. The Greek touch in the menu gives it identity, the space gives it warmth, and the cooking gives it purpose. For a refined yet relaxed dining experience that still feels connected to real flavors and generous hospitality, it’s a new standout in Kensington.

I invited my friend to this store as I had high expectations for it after passing by every time after my gym. I even took a picture, sent it to Silly, and said we should come here when I first arrived. It turned out that the wild lamb dish was not recommended—it wasn’t tender—and the oak porridge was a bit salty. What I couldn’t tolerate was when my friend said she wanted to take the leftovers to go, the waiter gave a very subtle but obvious 🙄 look, which felt somewhat discriminatory and looked down. I felt grossed out by it. I’ve never received that kind of look, no matter which countries or restaurants I’ve been to in my whole life. Definitely won’t come back and don’t recommend it, no matter how cozy the interior decoration is. The quality of service and overall customer experience outweigh everything else. One star for other dishes and another one for the atmosphere
