"Krone has been properly invested in: from the façade to the hotel rooms, everything is chic and high quality, the restaurant is modern and sleek. The food is very good, with select produce turned into aromatic dishes with plenty of flavour. At lunchtime, a smaller range of interesting options. If you are staying longer, Basel and Alsace are very close by." - Michelin Inspector

Drove here for dinner after a friend’s recommendation for a traditional German Dinner. It was exquisite. We had the Cordon Blue Shnitzel and the Veal with Mushroom Sauce and Spaetzel. Both dishes were incredible. Our waitress was amazing. She was very kind, attentive and helpful.

Comfortable beds, recently renovated rooms in Building 2, family owned, great service. Restaurant has delicious food, and excellent staff. Price / Performance relationship excellent. They only put a few rooms online, so if online shows booked out, it pays off to give them a call.

A local hotel / restaurant runned by a family. Passed down from genenation to generation. Food is good too but room does not have any air conditioning nor fan.

Yelp
Went into this visit a bit apprehensive about what I would find at this hotel/restaurant and I was pleasantly surprised at how fabulous the entire experience was. The food here is so amazing and the staff was so helpful and welcoming. My husband and I ate here for lunch and dinner for three days and EVERY SINGLE meal was outstanding. I can't say enough good things about the food here!

Yelp
Review is based on a fabulous dinner in the hotel restaurant. Our first choice was "closed for company holiday", so German friends recommended this place - what a find! Located in an old farm house on top of a hill, the views - even on a rainy day - were fantastic. Old-school, rustic southern German food (think deer, wild boar, veal liver, mushroom soup with cream, etc.) can be found here. Large, hearty portions. Delicious. Service is fast and friendly, and our dinners - pork medallions in mushroom sauce, lamb chops with rosti, and salad with grilled deer and fried quail eggs were spot-on. Top that with an interesting bottle of an unfamiliar wine varietal (Regent) and ice cream sundaes, it was pretty perfect. And very reasonably priced - dinner for 4 with a bottle of wine = 120 Euros. After dinners in Switzerland, this is bargain basement prices. It's a bit of a trek - especially in the rain - but definitely worth a visit.
