The 26 Best Restaurants in Panama City | Eater

"At Krume, Austrian head baker Natalie Salzmann starts every project — sourdough, cardamom buns, lavender knoten — with organic flour sourced from Weinviertel, Austria. The perfectly crunchy baguette is a must-try, as are the multigrain and black sage loaves. At breakfast, you might enjoy a country loaf with various spreads: kalamata tomato, garlic dill, and almond-based, pink pepper cheese from Casa Planta, a local vegan cheese maker. At lunch, try the ginger soup or squash toast with sage. Or stop by for a drink from the coffee bar, where baristas handpick Panamanian coffees." - Jorge Chanis

Probably the best option if you want to try some sourdough bread in Panama. Everything tasted good. Specially the salmon toast. They also have a good coffee bar. You van also get a sourdough loaf to go.

Loved the food I had at Krume. I had the salada del huerto, huevos cremosos and pumpkin toast (ask for lemon to brighten the dish). Their food is really price, but they use high quality ingredients. I also had the Krume latte, which has interesting flavors but I prefer the iced latte bc the coffee flavor is much more bold. I suggest going during a less busy time otherwise you’ll wait for a very long time for your food.

They have a weird table system here, I stood In the restaurant for 5 minutes waiting to be acknowledged, no one did as the staff was having an internal argument in the back. So I sat at the large community table and waited for 3 more minutes. Nothing. Finally I walk up and make eye contact with the cashier, ordered and paid for a coffee. By the time it arrived 2 separate services decided to come by and say I can’t sit there. Offered me a dirty table. My estimated time at the shop, 10 minutes to drink the coffee. Arguing with already angry staff… terrible. 😞 I went twice, first day was okay - today horrible, 3rd time, I won’t come back. So many good coffees in Panama willing to take your money and smile.

Hands down the best bread in town. Fresh, flavorful, and made with real care. The coffee is equally exceptional, brewed to perfection. You can genuinely taste the love and intention in every bite and sip. A place that nourishes far beyond the plate.

Great spot for a quick bite. Delicious sourdough and coffee, gets quite busy during lunch time. If you'd like a table, I would recommend to reserve ahead of time. Parking spots in the plaza are quite limited.

Krume is the best of the best in Panama City if you want fantastic bread, bread-based dishes (think toasts and sandwiches), and coffee. Truly special! Their pour-over coffee is perfectly brewed, comparable to what you would find at Café Unido, Sisu, Mentiritas Blancas or other any other top-notch coffee shop. And their bread is crusty, bursting with flavor, and creatively combined with both sweet and savory ingredients to make for a wonderful breakfast or brunch. Come here!
