The 8 Best Thai Restaurants in Broward County, Florida | Eater Miami

"This spot can feel a bit lounge-y, with its jams spanning acoustic pop covers to house beats. The fare is equally as much of a modern vibe. Before digging into its Thai specialties, often doused in homemade cashew, basil, garlic, or ginger sauce, give its curry puff appetizer a try. It’s chicken, potato, and curry wrapped in a wonton – you can’t go wrong."

Google
Is Sushi Thai or is Thai Sushi? Either way this is a good place. The staff is incredibly friendly. They have a nice diverse menu with so many options. We got the khao so it along with three different sushi rolls. All was very tasty

Google
Kub Kao Thai & Sushi is a hidden gem in Davie! The sushi is incredibly fresh and flavorful—no need for extra sauces. The Thai dishes, like the Duck Lover and fried rice, are packed with authentic flavors. The restaurant is clean and modern, with attentive staff that make you feel welcome. Portions are generous, and the presentation is top-notch. Whether you’re dining in or taking out, it’s a must-visit spot for Thai and sushi lovers.

The food at this Thai restaurant is cooked with love and care. Every dish is tasty and made with good quality ingredients. The service is also warm and attentive — you can really feel the love in everything they do. Highly recommend!

Google
Been here several times and always get the pad see ew with beef. They're consistent with a delicious sauce and tender beef. Their Pad Thai and Peanut Sauce stir fry is also delicious. My friends would also get their sushi and they recommend it. Friendly and attentive staff, especially by Pooki who serves us every time we come back. Reasonable prices and large portions. One of the best Thai restaurants in town.

Google
One of the best Thai restaurants I’ve been to. I keep coming back to try different dishes, and everything is consistently good. Their curries, soups, sushi, and Thai tea are definitely worth trying. The service is generally good, though it could be better at times. I will keep coming back.

Google
Overall it was a great experience... Seated promptly and food came out in a timely fashion... The only thing that stood out was the lack of wasabi placed on the roll plate. We enjoyed the whole meal and will definitely return!

Google
Delicious food, good quiet atmosphere and prompt service. Highly recommend the fried rice or sushi rolla.

Google
Amazing food here , can’t go wrong with anything you order. Everything is made to perfection. REALLY recommend this spot to anyone in the area.

Yelp
Great lunch specials. Always well packaged when delivered. Good sushi and fresh food.

Yelp
This place has both great Thai food and sushi! This time I tasted their sushi and left very happy. I recommend arriving early or making a reservation because it gets so full : that there was even a line waiting for tables and we were there on a week day! I also heard they have great lunch specials : but also a great crowd. I had a dragon roll. It was very good and I didn't share! ENJOY!

Yelp
This was my first time here. I came here with my aunt & uncle and we all loved the food. They have a very large menu that includes a full sushi & sashimi selection, Thai dishes, etc. We shared a seaweed salad, which was very large and delicious. I had the pad see ew with chicken, my aunt & uncle each had pad thai. The portions are very large They seemed to be short staffed.

Yelp
Was craving sushi and remembered reading some great reviews on Kub Kao. We arrived around 7:00 on Friday night. The place was packed but found a table outside. Our waiter Gustavo came over quickly taking our drink order. We ordered a spring roll appetizer which arrived 20 minutes later. I was hoping for quicker service but understood they were busy. They were hot , tasty and crunchy severed hot in a basket. Was so hungry forgot to take photo. Placed our dinner order which consisted of chicken pad Thai for my husband and my daughter and I order three roll, Spider roll, Philadelphia roll and shrimp tempura roll to share. I will say the rolls were amazing. The rice was cooked to perfection and the fillings tasty and fresh. The chicken pad Thai was loaded with nice size pieces of chicken and the noodles cooked well and tasty. I have never given three stars before but had no choice. Placed order as stated above. The chicken pad Thai came about 30 minutes later. No sign of our sushi order. So my husband started his meal. 15 minutes later I asked the waiter where are the sushi rolls. I explained to him that they shouldn't served his meal so early before our meal. The waiter said he thought we were sharing it. So after our conversation Gustavo brought out one roll. Then five or ten minutes later the next roll and finally after another five minutes the last roll. I'm not sure about anyone else, I like all rolls at the same time so I can decide which roll I want to eat first. I have never been served rolls so far apart. The food was amazing but the service from the kitchen was horrible. I really want to give it another chance but will think twice before I do.

Yelp
Service was excellent. Server made "cheating" chop sticks for our toddler which he loved. Food was excellent. Tempura Shrimp sushi was amazing. Pad thai was delicious and would have easily served two. Even the ginger salad dressing tasted freshly made.

Yelp
Great Thai restaurant, my daughter and I found in Davie, the dining room has adorable orchids throughout and feels very comfortable. We had curry and my favorite pad woon sen. The service was incredibly good and they were very attentive

Yelp
Best Thai in Davie!!!!! We ride or die for their lunch special. Conveniently located in a Publix plaza, we go Publix shopping and then swing by for lunch. Pad Thai tofu! Pad see yew beef! Tom Kha! Pineapple fried rice! Spring rolls! Perfect ginger dressing every time! This place rules so hard and we hope they are around forever and ever because the food is so dang good every time. Wait staff is friendly, the tv monitors always have fun things to watch like Thai or other country street vendor videos. Music playlist is always hittin too.

Yelp
This place was packed when we went at like 7:30pm but they seated us right away. Came to take our order right away as well. The service was good and waitresses were really nice. I ordered my food which was the drunken fried rice and there was a piece of metal in it. Looked like maybe from a sponge I am not sure what it was but I almost ate it. I let the waitress know and she took the plate away even though she said she couldn't see what I was talking about. They gave me a whole new order but didn't discount the first one or anything. So I paid full price. The flavor of the food was ok.
google avatar

Yelp
Absolutely loved my experience! The flavors were authentic and every dish was beautifully presented. The staff was super friendly and attentive. Can't wait to come back for more! Highly recommend!

Yelp
So this visit was my second time trying to eat here. The first time I came I was packed inside but no one was outside eating however the outside tables weren't being offered so we left. This time I made a reservation, when we arrived we were told that the tables weren't ready, however once more the tables outside were empty. I waited a few minutes and asked if we could just sit outside. We were sat and then immediately other parties asked the same and tables outside got full immediately as well. Anyways I ordered the lychee nigori bottle and it was so smooth. For starters I had the steam mussels which i thought they were going to be warmer to the table and be more flavorful. The sauce that came in the side was good but it needed something more. Now the food was really good. The lobster sushi roll was absolutely beautiful and delicious. The fried pieces of lobster were flavorful and the sushi itself was really yummy. We also had the duck in basil sauce and again really delicious and perfectly cooked. I really enjoyed our meal and would be back. Definitely try to make a reservation in advance.

Yelp
My favorite sushi spot in the springs. The rolls are big, and extremely flavorful. The drinks there are spot on. I always have a good time when we go to the restaurant to sit and eat, but the food is still equally as good take out. Everyone is always very nice, and you can bet I'll probably be back This week :). Super saiyan roll is my favorite, it has crispy salmo skin on top. I've had a few other rolls. I'm super picky with curry but theirs hits the spot.
google avatar

Naomi M.

Yelp
I ordered the Tiger roll and spicy edamame. The sushi was made right in front of me (we were sitting at the bar) and it came out quickly with good presentation. It tasted even better than it looked. The edamame took quite a while to come out and was mediocre. The "spicy" component comes on the side and the edamame did not have enough salt. The restaurant is simply and beautifully decorated. I love the draped rope lights over the preparation area. Can't wait to go back and try the volcano roll next time.
google avatar

Lisett G.

Yelp
Everything was delicious. The seafood ceviche was very good and a little spicy but I like spicy food. The red Dragon was also good the raw tuna on top add more flavor to the roll. And last we had the Magic ji, this roll I wouldn't order it again only because between the avocado, spring mix and cucumber takes away the flavor of the hamachi in my opinion it has too much green but flavor is not bad. The menu is pretty big you have a lot of options to choose from. Definitely recommend this place. The service was also very good.
google avatar

Yelp
Loved this restaurant. It is small but quaint and the service is very good. We were seated immediately and the food came out quickly. Everything tasted good and had great presentation. The lunch specials are also such a great deal, will return

Yelp
Great Spot for Sushi & Thai to visit in Davie. I love coming here for the sushi because it is always fresh, nice presentation and sensational flavor. The Thai dishes are always good. The service is exceptional as well.

Yelp
Pad Thai is yummy, the chicken wings taste frozen and the curry puffs are ok, havnt been here in years alittle different than I remember.

Yelp
Outstanding on all fronts. Huge portions and amazing service. Can't ask for more. Make sure to tip your waitress well

Yelp
Food was delicious. Nice vibe indoors and outdoors with lovely orchids. Service was good. Thoroughly enjoyed my dining experience and will return

Yelp
This is my favorite place for dinner. Good service and fresh sushi. Happy people here. Always smile greetings you. Good food and good prices. Best Pat Thai shrimp noodles and chicken wings. DELICIOUS
google avatar

Priscila X.

Yelp
A small but very cozy space. I suggest booking if you plan to go during dinner time. The service was very kind but they didn't explain or suggest anything on the menu. Our order was "Sweet and sour chicken", which I found super sickly after a few spoonfuls and "Chicken udon" whose sauce was delicious. The food took a while to be ready and the waitresses weren't paying much attention to asking if we needed anything else or if we would like the bill, they were paying more attention to delivery or take out orders. The price is the same as the general average for any other restaurant in the same category.
google avatar

Vanessa S.

Yelp
I had the honor to Dj at one of their events and that's how I find out about this amazing place! I love the atmosphere and the food but the best part about this restaurant is the owner Mr. G aka Jira every time I find myself in South Florida is one of my stop before any gig. I recommend the pineapple rice, the Poké bowls, and of course, the curry puffs all of the above with these are my favorite favorites and the chicken satay.
google avatar

Mohammed E.

Yelp
The only Thai restaurant we came across that serves mango sticky rice. We found the sticky rice to be little over sticky lol but the mango was sweet so that made up for it. We ordered panang curry , salmon panang and pineapple fried rice, everything was yummy. The only thing was the salmon wasn't that spicy as requested. Surprisingly the restaurant was packed on a weekday and we loved the upbeat music that kept on playing, it made us feel like we were dining in midtown. We were the last to leave the restaurant and employees had all smiles until the door closed (Good job team).
google avatar

Danesha D.

Yelp
I order the mango sticky rice to go because I wanted a quick dessert. Granted it's not mango season so I'm not complaining about that. The rice was horrible. It was like a ball of undercooked dough that would not separate. It was hard to separate the rice and even harder to chew. I don't know if it was a bad day but I would not come here for that again.
google avatar

Nga L.

Yelp
Placed order on Uber eats. Delivery was quick and smooth. What we ordered: Pad see ew had lots of tofu and broccoli but where is all the noodles?? Although it lacked a good balance the flavor was really delicious. Drunken noodles, we would NOT order again. Tofu seemed steamed and wish it was cooked the same way it was in the pad see ew. This dish had bo flavor. As you can see how white the noodles are. There was also no flavor at the bottom to toss it in. Bell peppers need to be chopped smaller. This dish was a disappointment and we really wanted to love it.

Esther C.

Yelp
Great place for both Sushi and Thai food. The flavors are phenomenal, service - pleasant and attentive. The place was crowded with patrons who all seemed to be enjoying their food. They give you lots of food! Definitely on my top 10 list. Soon they'll need a bigger place! Thanks.

Yelp
Wow great place for thai food in Davie. We arrived around 5pm and were seated promptly, for appetizers my vegan wife ordered the vegan spring rolls, i ordered an avocado roll a monkey roll and the chicken wontons, all was good and plentiful. For main course we ordered the massaman curry i ordered mine with shrimp and the wife ordered hers with fried tofu. It was all really good. The thai tea was delicious. We both had to get containers to go, we were so full. The service was good, by the time we were done the place was full of patrons. It is a small place but the ambiance was good. This is a small no frills thai restaurant, but the food was awesome and well presented. We will definitively go back.
google avatar

Yelp
If you want an unbelievable sushi or Thai meal, go to Kub Kao on University Drive in Davie. The owner makes sure that everything comes out the way you expected it to and he comes around to make sure that you are enjoying your meal. It is definitely worth a trip to this restaurant
google avatar

Angelo R.

Yelp
This was my 2nd visit here. The first time was when they first opened. Fast forward a year later, and it's just as good. And really busy! We came on Thursday night and it was packed. Best apps to order is the Kimono Shrimp and if you don't like fried, go for the Hamachi Jalapeno. The shrimp is wrapped in this perfectly crispy shell and the hamachi is super fresh. As for the sushi, I highly suggest the Daddy Love Browne Roll which a "Lobster Bomb" roll with their own twist. The presentation itself will impress you. For those who don't sushi, then you can't go wrong with the Duck Pad Thai or Volcano Tiger Prawn. Both are prepared with love and the portions are enough to share. Also, the Pad Kra Pow Phed (half-crispy duck) is another great option. I guess we just love duck..LOL :) And of course, you can't leave this place without having their fresh hot Thai donuts. So addictive. Big fan of this place. Chef Ji is really dedicated to creating elevated Asian food. So visit them when you're in Davie or Cooper City neighborhood. Also, they have plenty of free parking.

Yelp
Came back because I throughly enjoyed the first time. This time there were a few different hiccups that made the experience a little less than the first. The crispy tuna was great and plump. The lunch salad was a little sad/basic looking but had a good taste. The spring rolls they serve with the lunch special come out in a cute presentation but 2/3 of ours were cold on the inside. They gladly remade them for us. The sushi specials were beautifully presented and fresh. The chicken with garlic was just ok. I added the eggplant as it was amazing last time and it was also just ok, maybe even a little watery. The last time I tried the mango sticky rice it was pleasant, sticky, and tasty. This time the rice was incredibly difficult to get into and it took 3 people to break off one little bit. It took sticky to a whole other level. When we mentioned it was hard and not like last time, they said the rice was premade so that's how it was. They took it away and took it off the bill. The cheesecake tempura though was delish! Will definitely be back but maybe stick with sushi or the curries.

Yelp
The food is good, but the service is horrible. I came here with a group of 6 on Friday afternoon. It wasn't too busy when my group came, and we were seated fairly quickly. We ordered our drinks and entrees. Thai Iced tea and Fanta. For entrees, we ordered the Shrimp Tempura roll, Hot JB roll, fried rice, soup, Stir Fry, and a Shrimp Drunken Noodle. The fried rice was for a child. We requested the rolls and the fried rice to come out first. The waitress said she could not guarantee which would come out first. Weird, but ok. The rolls and the soup came out first. However, the fried rice never came out. The poor child had to sit there very patient and hungry with no food. We asked the waitress the eta on her food, and she said, "Be patient, it's coming." Anyone who works in service understands that the children's meal ALWAYS comes out first. The Stir-Fry came out next, and still no sight of the child's meal. The drunken noodles came out, and shortly after, the fried rice came out. It took over an hour for the hot food to come out. The waitress never came to the table to check on us. She never tried to resolve the issue by bringing something else for the child to eat in the meantime. She deliberately walked by the table several times and refused to make eye contact. She never stopped to check in and apologize for the long wait. She did absolutely nothing! When I complained to the waitress, she stated they only have 1 chef and the hot foods are taking longer than expected. Unacceptable! The food was decent, and the presentation of the food was nice. BUT, the service was extremely poor, and I will never patronize this restaurant again! Horrendous service!

Samantha L.

Yelp
Omg! This place is so gooood! I love cilantro in davie, but this place might be my new spot. Prices are on point and portions are amazing.

Elaine T.

Yelp
Too crowded not enough space between tables. No hostess @ door. Service ok. Food was good but better else where.

Yelp
This dish was so good I'm going back again tonight. Service was great too. Ambiance more then fit the theme. The food is so good there was a line to eat there (Friday night).

Yelp
Saw an ad on this restaurant in my feed on IG and decided to meet up a friend here for dinner. The best decision made. They have inside and outside seating. We opted for inside seating. It's a small restaurant with maybe 9 or 10 tables inside and 3 or 4 tables outside. Nice lighting and color scheme. They have beautiful orchids in magenta, blue and white. From the moment you enter the door, you feel very welcome. The waiter was wonderful. Customer service was outstanding. All the waitresses had smiles on their face and they were all very helpful. The food was amazingly delicious. We ordered a bottle of Lychee Sake with a cup of Lychees. Yummy! As appetizers we ordered Kimono Shrimp and Crispy Rice Tuna. Truly delicious. My friend ordered soup, King of the Sea. She says it was very good and loved that it had a kick to it. She also ordered a Monkey Roll which is topped with plantain. I tried one and it was very good. All the flavors just blended well. I ordered a Deluxe Pad Thai with Medium Spice. There huge pieces of steak, fish and large shrimp. It was so delicious. I even took an order of the Pad Thai for my fiancé. I can't wait to go again and try other dishes. I highly recommend this restaurant not only for the flavors and freshness of their food but the great customer service was so very much appreciated.

Yelp
First time trying Kub Kao. It was such a pleasant experience. Even though the restaurant was super busy, we were greeted and was sat down very quickly. The servers were all very nice, friendly and efficient . We ordered Thai Ice tea, coconut shrimp, Panang chicken curry, and Pad See Ew. Everything came out fast and tasted amazing. Highly recommend. Love that our meals were a lunch special. So we also got springrolls dunk in sauce in a shot glass . Presentation was super cute. The miso soup was tasty and the salad was refreshing . Loved all of it . We're definitely making another trip back and bringing our friends.
google avatar

Yelp
Small local little spot in Davie. They have a wide variety of options to choose from. Starting with the salad, the dressing was delicious. But I feel like it was a mixed match of different types of lettuce. I then got the rainbow dragon. It was tasty, but I definitely should have just stuck with the normal rainbow roll, it was too heavy. They had all of your traditional rolls and then a few chef specials. It's a small quaint spot, has a nice local vibe worth checking out!
google avatar

Henry H.

Yelp
Wow. If you have not been to Kub Kao, RUN don't walk to this gem of a restaurant. It is an intimate size restaurant with beautiful decor, a fantastic vibe and AMAZING food. We went two the restaurant twice last weekend and my wife made me commit to bringing her back in the next 5 days. She NEVER has asked me to do that! The menu has a few of your traditional items and several great new options that make your mouth water. The spicy Edamame are glorious to the taste buds, but your eyes will water at times!! You really should try Kub Kao!

Yelp
Delicious and fresh fish Was there on Mother's Day's. Took myself out for lunch and was a beautiful plate

Yelp
If you're looking for a place that has SO MUCH variety then this is the place for you. This menu has a little bit of everything for anyone who likes Thai and Japanese cuisine. The menu can satisfy the sushi lover, the pad thai craving and even someone who just loves special fried rice. I tried the spicy edamame to start and it was so delicious but definitely very spicy. I also had a craving for crab Rangoon so I tried theirs and it was delicious and you can tell they made the insides with more than just crab and cream cheese. It had a hint of onion and that dipping sauce was phenomal. Not too sweet. For my entree I got the volcano sauce deluxe which comes with shrimp chicken and beef. I never tried volcano sauce before and I absolutely loved it. It has a kick but isn't really spicy to where your mouth would be burning. It came with tons of veggies too which I enjoyed dipping in the sauce. My friend ordered the peanut sauce with tofu because she's vegan and she was happy they had options for her to choose from. As for the dessert I got the ever so classic banana tempura and even though it has been some time since I had it last, this was definitely one of the best I've had.

Yelp
KUB KAO Thai & Sushi is a lil spot hidden (but not really hidden) in Davie. Spontaneously came across it while driving to Paris Morning Bakery since its in the plaza right across from it. You can see the Thai & Sushi sign from the street. I came during the dinner rush on a Wednesday evening and although almost every table was filled, I was able to snag a table for one. If you don't dine out by yourself, I recommend giving it a try & KUB KAO might just be the perfect place to start. Sometimes dining alone feels weird but I felt at ease since there were actually quite a few others dining by themselves. I was seated right away and the staff was super friendly and attentive. I ordered the salmon roll and dynamite hand roll because I have to try dynamite if a spot has it! The food took a bit but came out at a decent time considering how busy it was when I arrived. The salmon roll was a classic and the dynamite hand roll was actually pretty good with a good amount of baked seafood inside. If I'm ever in the area again, I'd probably stop by to try some of their other dishes.

Yelp
I knew I could count on my local moms when I posted in our FB group for sushi date night recommendations! Kub Kao Thai & Sushi stood out for me since it has several vegetarian, vegan and tofu options! First up we ordered beverages. I was hungry and had a headache so I just opted for a Coke and my husband went for his regular...his ride or die Corona lol...Pretty standard stuff but I love the attention to detail with the glasses! Our server was fantastic and was great with menu recommendations. Apps - spicy edamame, tofu with bean sprouts and shrimp sumai...all of these were a 10/10 I had the Red curry with tofu and a side of white rice...oh my goodness this was ah-ma-zing! I also had a vegetable roll...ask for a side of spicy mayo...you won't regret it My husband had the fried rice (huge portion) with chicken and a salmon Philadelphia roll...I don't think I've ever seen him not eat all his food AND take leftovers! For dessert we opted for the Chocolate Trilogy...this was super yummy, and not too heavy...we both enjoyed several bites! I was tempted to also get the Thai donuts but I maintained some self control. Overall - We will definitely be back, especially since it was my husband's first sushi experience and he loved it!!! We already enjoyed some of our leftovers the next day!

Yelp
We just ate in for the first time. We have ordered take out probably ten times now. The ambiance inside is so nice! The decor is lovely. The service is excellent. The food is even better. I don't even want to post this because I don't want Kub Kao to be even more popular than it already is.

Yelp
Came here with my hubby and we had a good meal. We ordered the miso soup, shrimp soup , Californian roll, ginger house salad and the fried tofu . All very filling and tasty . Good service as well . Super date night but I should have ordered a Sapporo beer . Parking is not bad with publix around the corner .

Yelp
Stop by for Quick Lunch, Felt like Fine 5 Stars Thai & Sushi Cuisine, quick, very Nicely Decorated Plate, Ultra Tasty with A great bouquet of Spicy & Oriental Flavors jumping into your Mouth. simply LOVE It! Highly Recommended ! I will Be BACK! ‍

Yelp
We ordered the homemade noodles recommended by the waitress as well as the Panang curry. My husband also ordered the JB roll. We. Loved. All of it. Everything was so full of flavor and we just kept wanting to eat more. The noodles were such a yummy texture and the curry was so creamy. The service was fantastic. The only thing was that the music was blasting, so it was hard to hear my husband. Other than that, this is hands down my favorite Thai place in Broward.
google avatar

Laura A.

Yelp
I ordered the chicken pad thai and spring rolls via uber eats. The food was very good upon arrival, and the spring rolls were not soggy (as has been my experience with Uber eats orders from other establishments). Spring rolls came with sauce, utensils were provided, and pad Thai came tightly packaged so I can only assume service is decent at worst. Pad Thai was good, didn't rock my world but definitely satisfied me. The spring rolls had me really happy because of the crunch and how good they were. I also wish I had tried their tea, but decided against it this time.

Natasha B.

Yelp
Horrible service! Walked in at 9:20p door clearly says they close at 10p Server refused to seat or serve us stating they close soon and we needed to know what we were ordering Ladies name was Pam
google avatar

Nanda M.

Yelp
The place was PACKED. And the online orders were literally layered up the wall. While I love when a place gets recognition and has good business, the staff was overwhelmed. Food was delayed, service was just okay. The food itself was mostly good, and the pad Thai and basil chicken were very good. We also ordered chicken wonton soup, which was tasty, curry chicken puffs (good), tuna roll (we did not like this), and a kids breaded chicken (good). We did appreciate how fresh everything was! The decor is really modern and makes you feel like you are not in a little shopping center in a suburb.

Yelp
Stopped by for a spontaneous dinner with a friend on a Friday night. The place was busy but we were able to snag a table outside. We tried the Light Brown sauce dish and a red curry with a salad. The food did take a bit to come out but when it did it was steaming hot and tasted really fresh. We loved everything we tried and the potions are so big! That was our favorite part. I would definitely be back if I'm in the area to try the sushi next time.
