Kui Shin Bo Review - Japantown - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"When you’re quoted an hour wait at Sasa and have an urgent craving for raw fish and rice, head five steps over to the (typically) less-crowded Kui Shin Bo. The sushi at this Japantown spot (with another location in the Marina) isn't as tasty as what you'd get next door, but it does the job for a quick fix. Aside from sauce-drizzled special rolls or maki with salmon or tuna, there’s also an extensive non-sushi menu that’s approximately the length of a 5,000-piece LEGO manual—it covers about every Japanese dish you can think of, from takoyaki and ramen to donburi and agedashi tofu." - Julia Chen

Google
Super yummy vegetarian sushi and ramen. The host did a good job recommending dishes that we liked. The mushroom creamy ramen was not rich or heavy at all, and the vegetarian sushi was particularly good.

Google
We enjoyed everything — veggie okonomiyaki, sushi, fried squid. Very extensive menu! Okonomiyaki tasted as good as Osaka. The rest wasn’t the best Japanese food I’ve ever had but yummy, no complaints. Nice hole in the wall vibe and fast service. We will be back.

Google
got take out here, and i got the creamy mushroom ramen — i felt like it lacked flavor and was just a little bland! good portion sizes and they packaged it well but was lacking flavor. also wish it had tofu (some kind of plant protein). service was good but it did take a minute for them to make the food! my friend got the volcano and caterpillar roll and loved both! would not go back for the ramen tho haha

Google
Fun restaurant, good food but lacking a bit of flavor in my opinion. The garlic noodles were great, but the ramen’s brother lacked flavor. Good for walk in.

When you visit Japan Town in San Francisco and want some Japanese food, you may like this restaurant, it is small but I enjoyed my Lunch here

Google
Great vegetarian food with lots of options. The veggie sushi was amazing since it was packed with flavor and different textures. The veggie okonomiyaki was also amazing - crispy with a lot of sauce on top. The creamy mushroom ramen was good but not the best I've had, especially in Japan Town. I'd recommend a spice level higher than 2. Service was fast and portion sizes are good, 1 entree per person is probably sufficient.

It’s really a cozy place which offers really great sushi’s . This was my first time having sushi in SF and had great experience at Khi Shin Bo. All the prices are reasonable and food quality is grt

We’ve been coming here for almost a decade now and we’ve never had a bad experience. Food is superb and service always awesome!

Yelp
Great lunch menu deal that's also available on the weekend. The place is popular but there's lot of seating so you usually won't wait. Among three friends we tried the tonkatsu, tempura, agedashi tofu, and avoyaku roll. You cant go wrong with getting the tonkatsu as part of your lunch menu.

Yelp
The food is so delicious and the service was nice! I got the Black Garlic ramen (spicy level 2 had a perfect comfortable kick to it). My partner got the Saki Donburi and says it was fresh and creamy. We shared a Takoyaki. I wish we took a picture of the before, but here's a picture of the after. Proof that we killed it - from someone who notoriously never finishes her ramen bowls

Yelp
Recommend by a friend and would say that it's a good solid 3.5 stars, not too shabby but also not exceptional:) if you are looking for Japanese comfort food, then you may be in for a treat! We order the chicken skewers, grilled squid and an okonomiyaki and we're very full after our visit The chicken skewers were solid, had a nice char to them, very tender!Unfortunately I was disappointed by the whole squid, wish they were grilled more and came out smokier. Not worth the price. We also got the beef and cheese okonomiyaki! One of the more unique dishes. Had lots of cabbage in it but doesn't feel like you are eating vegetables. A very hardy and healthy-ish dish that won't leave you hungry!

Yelp
A friend wanted sushi for dinner so I was looking on yelp to find a place, so happy I decided on Kui Shin Bo! Located in the east Japantown mall, it's not as busy since most of the restaurants are in the other mall. It's upstairs, very unassuming and tucked in a corner. The menu is pretty extensive and has most of the typical Japanese dishes. My friend ordered 2 rolls and I had the Chicken curry Katsu. The service was amazing, they kept refilling our water when we ran out. It seemed like a small family owned place and the ambience was intimate an Overall, this will probably be my new go-to spot when friends want Japanese food in our neighborhood!

Yelp
Lowkey restaurant in Japantown mall with a cozy ambiance. The dishes are big and yummy! We got chicken katsu curry which was amazing! They have a lunch special which comes with salad and miso soup. The staff was super nice and welcoming.
google avatar

Michelle K.

Yelp
I got the dinner set: udon and katsu. I wish the udon portion was bigger since they take away the rice, salad, and miso soup as a result. The katsu was great but the udon wasn't my favorite. The place seems a bit old but it's relatively spacious, and you get seated quickly as a result. Food also comes out super fast!

Yelp
This is a nice little restaurant located. In Japan Town. My friends and I were looking for a simple lunch in the area that wouldn't break the bank and ended up here. The staff is very nice! We showed up a bit earlier before lunch on a weekday and the restaurant was pretty much empty. I ordered the baked salmon sushi roll, my friends ordered a miso ramen and the two set meal. Our meal was decent and we were all full and had leftovers to bring home! I felt that the baked salmon was alright, I've certainly had better - bur notably, it was filling and reasonably priced. The two set meal seemed to be the best out of all three options especially for the pricing. Overall this restaurant was decent especially for the prices but it wasn't very memorable in taste.

Yelp
I always love coming to this place. Food is fresh, authentic and delicious. Any time in in the city it means ill be eating here

Yelp
When trying to eat here, consider that there might be a long wait depending on when you go. The place is small, so it's hard to fit a party more than 5 people. However, this restaurant is located in Japantown, so there's plenty to do and stores to go around. They have a yelp waitlist, so it's easy to track where you are in the list. The service was great once we were seated, our food came fast so I felt like I wasn't waiting too long. The portions were good, but I wish the additional roll that was given could've been a speciality roll because I don't really like "California rolls". My dad got the unagi plate and that looked delicious, so I need to go back and try their popular dishes to gauge out the place better.

Yelp
A cute simple place tucked away on the road less traveled (in other words, the east side of the Japantown Mall)! They had a $16 dinner set where you can choose two mains to have alongside rice, miso soup, and salad. I got the pork katsu and curry rice, the latter of which is supposed to be a top favorite. The katsu was a good size and well-fried. The curry felt very homemade, but lacked flavor (had to add some katsu sauce to boost it up a bit). The staff was very friendly!

Yelp
We came here on a Sunday afternoon and the wait was pretty short! Our food came out pretty quick as well. We ordered a Unagi Don and a Combo Okonomiyaki (which came with seafood and chicken). The Unagi Don was quite worth it! It was perfectly grilled and it came with soup and salad. The Combo Okonomiyaki was very flavorful and had the perfect amount of sauce. However, I wish it had more seafood or chicken in it to balance out the sauciness. Compared to other ones I've tried, this okonomiyaki was very fried along the edges and was very hot. This made it way more oily and heavy to eat. The restaurant itself is quite small and dim. I like the coziness of it but it can definitely use some lights. The workers there were very nice though. Overall, I don't think there's much that makes this restaurant stand out. Nevertheless, if you want some nice simple Japanese meal, you should stop by!

Yelp
Ordered delivery and didn't love it, but maybe would have liked the rolls, udon, or ramen? For the chirashi bowl, the fish was cut haphazardly and was fishy, the rice was a little too sweet, and the octopus was very chewy. Chicken teriyaki had very small pieces of diced chicken with sauce and then the sides are just kind of there. Bonus points for how they packaged the two and stabilized the trays with a flattened Sapporo container.

Yelp
Came here for a family dinner, we got a bunch of different dishes. We got ramen, 2 bento boxes, and several different kinds of sushi rolls. My favorite is definitely their rainbow sushi! Tasted good and love the presentation! Overall Rating: 10/10

Yelp
Nested inside east mall in Japantown SF. This is a cute little restaurant which has a ton of Japanese dishes. I got take out but I will come back and dine here. I ordered vegetable Okonomiyaki & Soba noodle - Yesai. Both were fantastic. The okonomiyaki is one of those incredible things which despite sounding like a pancake actually is a complex dish various vegetables squash, zucchini, carrots - all cooked to it's perfect state. It has a variety of textures and the temperature and flavor is "just right". Mind blowing.

Yelp
Came here specifically for sushi and put our names down on the Yelp waitlist in person. It said the wait would be 1-11 minutes, but I think we waited around 5-10 minutes. It's a pretty small and casual joint, more like a spot for a quick bite or hanging out with friends rather than a fancy date spot. We did like the vibe with the lantern lighting and fish artwork though. Beef Kushiyaki: Had a good amount of sauce and flavor, texture was decent, and there was a decent portion of meat. Volcano Roll: Loaded with imitation crab and sauce, felt like the typical American sushi experience where everything blends together. Super Dynamite Roll: Each piece had its own taste, not as saucy, but I preferred it with a bit of soy sauce and wasabi. Service was pretty standard and fairly minimal. Overall, it's a decent spot to grab some standard American sushi rolls or explore their extensive menu.

Yelp
Still loving this spot, in the less popular side of the Japantown mall. Get away from the crowds, usually a minimal wait time, enjoy a relaxing ambiance, prompt service, and have some yummy Japanese food here! My wife's favorite is the nabeyaki udon and mine is the vegetable soba. The soup broths are simple, not too salty, hit the spot for us. Today we tried the chicken katsu and it was quite good as well.

Yelp
Hidden sushi restaurant in Japantown! The items here are very straightforward, and good to fulfill your sushi fix. What we ordered for two: - Edamame: This came out steaming hot! This was a good starter, and you can't really go wrong with edamame. - Spider Roll: This was a savory roll, and good for those who like soft shell or imitation crab! This roll came with fried soft shell crab, cucumber, imitation crab, masago, avocado & cucumber, topped with kabayaki sauce & miso sauce. - Crunchy Roll: This roll was more on the sweeter end from the sauce on top, and had a crunch from the shrimp tempura!

Chitvan G.

Yelp
I love the vegetarian okonomomiyaki here. I have visited few times. I'm a vegetarian and they have enough options for me. Also like the tempura sushi here. They could improve on the ambiance of the place.

Yelp
During my recent visit to the Japanese restaurant, I had the opportunity to explore a variety of dishes that offered a mix of delightful surprises and a few points of concern. Unagi Don - showcasing a perfect balance of flavors. The eel was expertly grilled, tender, and rich in taste. However, my only qualm was the inadequacy of the accompanying sauce. While the dish itself shone, a bit more sauce would have elevated the experience. Okonomiyaki - Traditionally pan-fried, this savory pancake was deep-fried, resulting in a texture and flavor profile that deviated from the expected norm. While the dish was tasty in its own right, the deviation from the traditional preparation might not appeal to purists. The Volcano Roll - though not exceptional, held its ground as a satisfactory option. The combination of ingredients created a pleasant medley of flavors, albeit without any extraordinary elements. It stood out as an okay choice for those who enjoy a safe and familiar sushi roll. The restaurant's classic Japanese setting added a touch of authenticity to the dining experience. The decor and overall atmosphere reflected the cultural nuances of Japan, contributing positively to the overall aesthetic. Regrettably, the service aspect was where the experience faltered. Despite the appealing food and ambiance, the lack of attentive service impacted the overall satisfaction. The absence of a seamless and efficient service detracted from the potential excellence of the dining affair. In conclusion, this restaurant offers a mix of culinary delights and room for improvement. The Unagi Don is a definite highlight, but a little more sauce would go a long way. The Okonomiyaki's unconventional preparation might not resonate with everyone, and while the Volcano Roll is acceptable, it doesn't steal the spotlight. The classic ambiance sets the stage, but the lack of attentive service diminishes the overall experience.

Yelp
The broth for the ramen was flavorful and rich. Mackerel was nicely cooked. Teriyaki chicken was good but lacked some flavor. Miso soup was very hearty! Service was fast. The interior ambiance was nice.

Yelp
KSB is a good staple in japantown for reliable, good rolls. Their real spider roll is forREALs the best. So delicious. The fried crab is juicy, sweet and a delight. I love the eel and spicy mayo sauces that go on top. This location has a $16 dinner bento special where you can choose two items and get a small rice, salad and soup. My favorite items to get are the Saba fish (+$2) and the chicken teriyaki
google avatar

Yelp
Surprisingly, Japantown is really lacking in actual good restaurants. The majority seem tourist driven, dishing out sub par quality dishes to get the money flowing. Not this place. This place feels like it actually cares about the quality of it's food, the price, and quantity. It almost felt like a place you'd find in Japan, just some dudes running the place. Service is prompt, place is clean (they literally wipe down each table right away after someone leaves), and food comes out immaculate. It's a little dark inside, but don't matter to me. I actually was concerned because we ordered too much food (usually we get a tiny piece of mackerel or Saba but it was the whole half of the fish!). Tempura was lightly battered and fried to perfection (don't taste that old re used oil but maybe it was due to us coming super early) Love their bento combination set, will definitely come back to try more combos!
google avatar

Elizabeth L.

Yelp
Small shop hidden upstairs from the Daiso, they have a kiosk in the front to join the Yelp waitlist. Doesn't accommodate large groups well, and you'll end up bumping knees with your friends, but that's what adds to this cozy environment. Food is pricey but decent, as is most things in Japantown. When restaurants seem to do it all (sushi, ramen, katsu), they may do some better than others. We ordered an okonomiyaki and a bunch of rolls to share. Decent portion sizes, though the rolls were drenched in sauce and the fish lacked innate depth of flavor, and it's a similar story for the okonomiyaki.
google avatar

Carol N.

Yelp
Kui Shin Bo gets very crowded very quickly. Make reservations or list your party on the Yelp or at the kiosk in front of the restaurant. Their menu is extensive! The reason we chose this restaurant was due to our international friends wanting several different Japanese types of food. One friend chose the bento box (beef teriyaki, vegetable tempura), another chose sushi and another had udon. I had the beef teriyaki/pork tonkatsu bento box that came with salad, rice, miso soup. It was very tasty and cooked perfectly. My hubby had the Wakame Soba and he really enjoyed it. We also shared chicken wings with our friend's 9 year old. He loved it. The service was very prompt and cordial. Seeing that we had listed/RSVP, we were seated immediately. After reviewing the huge menu, we all quickly decided on our orders as we all were very famished. The food came out quickly to everyone's delight. The atmosphere is family oriented and fast moving. The restaurant is clean, organized and orderly. With such an extensive menu, there is something for everyone.

Yelp
great service. there was limited seating but the food was worth it! all the food was very tasty

Alina

Yelp
Only ever have the special rolls here but they are v good! Can get super busy with wait times on the weekends.
google avatar

Joyce L.

Yelp
Super authentic ramen with many different options. We had the traditional tonkatsu ramen and the noodle texture was just right, broth wasn't super fatty or oily and it came with just the right amount of condiments. We also had the matcha beer which came as a pleasant surprise to me. I hadn't seen this offered anywhere else. The staff was super friendly and I loved the partitioned areas where you could have a little privacy. The ambience was what you'd expect out of an authentic Japanese eatery. The restaurant is located across the street from the main Japantown building but it was easy enough to walk to!
google avatar

Quynh P.

Yelp
A ton of options but very mediocre food. It's a great place to stop by if you're in a rush and don't have a lot of time to look around. Total was $114 including tips which isn't too bad cause we got hella dishes and service was quick. The hamachi collar was honestly the best thing there. I loved it with a hot bowl of rice and the ponzu sauce on the side. I also personally really like the cut of fish. We also got the salmon carpaccio (pretty decent), the niku udon (not great), adageshi tofu (eh) and the beef rice (mediocre). The ambiance was pretty chill - we did eat here on a random Monday at 1pm so it was empty. Obviously not the best Japanese food but also not the worst lol. I'd say if you have time and options, there are better places to try but it worked with us being in a rush to get back on the road
google avatar

Felice G.

Yelp
Inconsistent quality. Last time I was here was good (10 months ago). Kinda sad the quality had gone down. The curry was oily, miso soup is tasteless, and the shrimp tempura wasn't deveined. I liked the real crab California roll at least. Sadly, I can't recommend anymore.
google avatar

Sonia M.

Yelp
Came for a quick bite to experiment new restaurants. I was overall impressed with the flavors. The gyoza was delicious just would have preferred it cooked a little longer. Same with the beef teriyaki I would have liked it a little more charred. The sushi roll was spot on I'm not one to eat raw fish and the fish was not bad so that's a win for me lol. Miso soup was super flavorful and the Katsu Pork was nicely battered. We were seated right away and servers were super attentive. Restaurant was located upstairs in one of the main shopping centers in Japan town really enjoyed the ambiance. Spot is kinda hidden upstairs in the corner but once you see the fancy bridge you are near. Would come back and try some more of the sushi rolls
google avatar

Yelp
Always a great and convenient place for Japanese food. Especially like the items on the Red Board menu. Took photos of the menu because the others were hard to read. LOL!
google avatar

Yelp
Unassuming from the outside- a small little place in a mall like structure but absolutely outstanding. $60 later we had a bottle of sake and are full. Fish really high quality. It's a great deal! Service was friendly. Will be returning

Yelp
If you're looking for great Japanese cuisine in Japantown, I unfortunately cannot recommend Kuishinbo. In a place that should be known for its Japanese cuisine, this is a very, very average place to say the best. Their lunch Bento special is the most bang for buck, but even then it's quite expensive for the quality of food (almost $20 per bento after tax and tips). My group tried all the options on their bento menu, and most of us didn't really want to finish it all. The Kaki Fry didn't taste very fresh, the chicken teriyaki was dry, and the other "Katsu" dishes are just average. The seating area is also quite small, and wait times for both getting into the restaurant & for the food were longer than I felt it needed to be. All in all, I personally would not come back, but if you're someone who is less critical on Japanese cuisine, then it can be a fine option for a busy day in Japantown. Otherwise I'd recommend other places nearby
google avatar

Laura D.

Yelp
$16 for a complete meal in SF?! Count me in. Located on the second floor, Daiso side of Japantown is Kui Shin Bo. I love these bento-style meals. You get two choices, plus rice, salad, and miso soup. A complete meal! Quality isn't anything special, therefore the 3 stars, but it's good! They have a HUGE menu, but the two choice bento was the most appealing. The sushi rolls did look good though, so I might have to try it next time.
google avatar

Grace L.

Yelp
Got the Nabeyaki udon (U7)! This restaurant has a large menu of ramen, sushi, udon, donburi, chefs specials, and more! Even sushi burritos Portion was large! Came with udon noodles, tempura, chicken, fish cake, egg, vegetables, and more served in a nice iron pot I'd like to come back to try more dishes~

Marina R.

Yelp
Food was good! Staff was friendly, i got the creamy crispy chicken ramen, the crispy ramen was a little weird cause it was soaking in the ramen, not on top like I thought. Sushi was pretty good and prices werent too bad

Yelp
All of us splurged on our meals the previous night and wanted something lighter on the wallet, but a very good bang for our buck. Luckily, we found this place inside Japantown, and not only that their prices were reasonable, the quality of their food was also good! Plus, everything we ordered was delicious as well! They had a combo special going that night for a 2-item combo of your choice with salad, rice, and miso soup for $15.49, which we all agreed to be a decent deal. I picked the BEEF TERIYAKI and SHRIMP TEMPURA as my options, while my son got the same combo deal except that he opted for BEEF TERIYAKI and CALIFORNIA ROLL. The Beef Teriyaki was tender, juicy, and delicious. What I really liked was their teriyaki sauce, which wasn't overwhelmingly strong, and it had the perfect blend of tanginess and sweetness combined. The Shrimp Tempura was freshly pulled from the fryer, and it came out nicely crisp with tender shrimp inside. My son and I also shared an order of DRAGON ROLL (Unagi on top), which was very delicious as well. One of my nieces ordered their SASHIMI PLATE and said that the quality of the fish was also decent and priced sensibly. My other niece got their CHICKEN KATSU DONBURI and loved it! My nephew ordered their CHICKEN KATSU CURRY and said that the chicken was crispy and juicy inside. The curry sauce was also delicious but not better than his favorite curry place in San Diego. Our server was very polite, humble, and respectful. He tended to all our requests. We also appreciated that they didn't charge us a mandatory gratuity despite our large party of seven, which prompted us to tip even more generously and didn't feel the rude slap on the face like other restaurants do when they tack on a mandatory gratuity of 18% to 20% taxable tip. The ambiance was traditional casual Japanese and limited space. Thankfully, they sat us down immediately upon arrival without prior notice or reservations. Overall, I highly recommend this place if you're looking for reasonably priced decent quality Japanese food in Japantown.
google avatar

Mario H.

Yelp
2/5 The service is good. The ambiance is retro, just fine. The food though. I literally found an equally priced option in a worse area of SF in the evening to make up for this experience here. There are much better options for food out there. Let me just fast forward to the food. The rest of the experience is nothing notable. Neutral. But the food. The beef teriyaki tasted like they cooked it over propane gas. I'm not sure how they got that flavor in there, but not good at all. Meat quality was not great, but I guess that's expected for the price. The ramen. Get this guy some salt. The soup base was tasteless. Too watery. I took a bite and tasted something awful. No, not the old looking mushrooms or the sad looking spinach. It was the car-tire-tasting bamboo. Absolutely disgusting. Chef, you gotta try your food. Know what it tastes like before sending it out. I was really disappointed with the food here. Maybe it was an off day. But I'd cross this place off my list. Most of the reviews were misguiding with the exception of a few that mentioned something was off about the food. Parking is okay. Street parking is tough, but there's a lot underground where you can expect to pay $2-4/hour.

Yelp
Located upstairs in the less-frequented East Mall above Daiso, Kui Shin Bo is one of the best restaurants in Japantown after the closure of Takara. You can tell the owner really cares about the quality of food that is served, as well as the level of personalized service delivered. Every dish our family ordered was delicious. I look forward to our next meal there.
google avatar

Tim P.

Yelp
Way above average. Extensive menu but with wonderful original gems. Always a wait -- except right when they open for lunch. It's worth adding your name to the wait list as soon as you decide to head their way. The special cucumber wrap sashimi roll is both eye catching and tasty.
google avatar

Paolo B.

Yelp
Was in need of a quick lunch and saw that there wasn't a wait so decided to give this place a try. I'm a huge fan of bento boxes because I like to have a variety of flavors in one meal and they had a deal for a 2-item box for $15.88 My go to is always pork tonkatsu and beef teriyaki when it comes to bento boxes. The beef teriyaki was pretty average, meat a bit tough, but edible enough for me to finish it. The tonkatsu was tasty, good meat to breading ratio. Miso soup, standard, and salad with sesame dressing, can never go wrong. I think for the price and being in SF, to get a 2-item bento box for under $20 is a decent enough of deal in 2022. Checks the box for quick and affordable lunch in the Japantown area.

Yelp
Holiday weekend, exhausted from Fillmore Jazz Fest, & the food trucks all closed. Wait, there's Japantown a block away. All the places I've heard of have wait lists. Yelp to the rescue- a 4 star in the Peace Plaza mall. Really? They have restaurants there? Oh, 2nd floor , above Daiso. I'm a real snob about menu art & aesthetics, so KSB had me nervous. The place sat alone in a corner- plastered with faded pictures of meals gone by. Clean & basic inside. There's one of those cool check in yourself, we'll tell you the wait time, & text you when your tables ready. I got in right away cause I could share a big table with another couple who were busy discussing Harvard, & the affirmative action fallout. Some giant angry man walked in, loudly demanding to know the wait time. The poor waiter couldn't grasp what his problem was. I felt like getting up & showing Mr Entitled that he could fill out the form under his nose & find out himself. He just stood there bellowing for a manager, eventually huffing & puffing away. Wonder how his day went? I ordered maguro nigiri, wow, really good! Fish cut perfectly, melty in mouth. On to tempura shrimp roll, tasty fruit sauce topping. And it's a home run. $21 plus tip.
google avatar

Jessica L.

Yelp
Restaurant is really cute and small inside. Ordered the duck leg ramen and tempura udon. The tempura udon noodles and broth were very light perfect for a light meal. Spicy seasoning was on the side and definitely made the broth a bit str but still refreshing. The tempura was okay crispy but lots of batter, great sauce though. 18$The duck leg ramen had an egg drop soup type broth salted. Good dish. 22$

Yelp
I recently had the pleasure to eat at Kui Shin Bo and ordered the cheese steak okonomiyaki. It was crispy on the outside and the steak was well-cooked. The cheese and sauce on top combined was quite delicious. It was quite busy when my group went and the restaurant had a line, but the server was nice and it was well worth the wait.
google avatar

Jennifer N.

Yelp
Its been awhile since I've been seriously overwhelmed by the amount of options on the menu....it is quite literally massive and has like every type of japanese food you can think of: sushi, ramen, donburi, okonomiyaki etc etc For a place that does everything, we were pleasantly surprised by how good everything was. Especially the ramen, its on par with like the shops that only specialize on ramen. Highly recommend the spicy cheesy ramen (medium spice)! The spicy crunch roll and unagi don was tasty too but I'd probably try something different next time.

Yelp
The food was great and came out pretty quickly. I showed up pretty close to when the store was closing and they were very nice and calm about getting the order in

Yelp
Must try: the sushi burrito Why visit? This is definitely some of the best sushi in japan town, and that's saying a lot! The decor is very relaxed and the service is great Protip: don't forget to dunk into the soy

Yelp
I was kindly seated and it was not crowded....a hidden gem! Thanks to Yelp I found it. I was looking for your simple Bento meal and I was very pleased. A very nice portion of vegetable tempura, which I was so craving, was prepared perfectly! The vegetables still had a nice crunch accompanied with a nice fillet of Saba w/ ground daikon & lemon. It was everything I hoped & expected and it was also reasonably priced. I'll be going back to try more of their dishes or I'll order the same thing! Thank you for a wonderful meal Kui Shin Bo!
