Kumpel & Keule Review - Kreuzberg - Berlin - The Infatuation

"If you visit Markthalle Neun, you’ll probably pass a butcher stand called Kumpel & Keule, which also serves burgers that are some of the best bites you can get in the whole food hall. Just a five-minute walk from there you’ll find Kumpel & Keule’s standalone restaurant where you can try more of their creations in a sit-down setting. From tatare to veal sweetbreads, high-quality meat is the star, and don’t worry, their perfect dry-aged classic beef burger is on the menu here, too." - Cindy Brzostowski

Fantastic burger. Not a cheap one (12€ + 2.5€ for bacon) but it is one that would give you immense satisfaction. Line gets a little long on the weekends as burgers are prepared fresh to order, but it moves fast. French fries (6€) were delicious too - nothing like your average Döner shop fries.

I was planning to go here for more than a year, and I have to say the burger was as good as expected. I took the burger without the bun, because I cannot eat it. They told me I can bring my own bun the next time and they would create the burger with it. Great thing! However, I would suggest to add a wheat-free or gluten-free bun to their card to close this service gap. The meat and the bacon were really delicious and the overall taste is an explosion for the taste buds. A must try for all meat lovers. They buy/produce local and/or fairtrade. Appreciate and support it! Well done guys!

One of the best burgers I've eaten, it was worth the wait. So juicy & full of taste - add bacon & cheese!

I had a burger with extra cheddar and fries and both of them amazing! Definitely worth trying it 😋

Came to try the burger after hearing rave reviews. Had the ‘burger of the month’ smash burger for 10 euros. Ingredients were top quality and fresh but somewhat of an oomph missing in the who thing. Will go back to try out other options though.

Excellent meat selection. Very transparent. And you can tell that the people working their are very into what they are doing. If you have a chance grab a burger - they are excellent, perfectly cooked and taste amazing.

I can safely say that this is one of the best places to have a burger in Berlin. It was a generous portion with quality ingredients

I went to this butchery to try their famous burger. It was really good especially their bacon which tastes amazing ! Nevertheless the meat was a bit to cook for my taste, well done when I prefer medium rare. Plus, they could be a bit more generous with the cheese, the slice is very thin. Overall a very good place for burger just not the best value for money. (I paid 14,5€)
