I had a lot of hype for this restaurant because many people said it was better than Noodle Inn, so of course I had to give it a try.
The very first thing I didn’t like was how hard the door was to open. We arrived around 3pm, so it wasn’t busy at all and there were plenty of empty tables. I thought we would be seated straight away, but I was wrong. When I finally opened the heavy door, one of the staff members came straight up to me and said, “No, you wait,” then pushed us back and slammed the door shut. Honestly, that moment alone made me want to leave immediately. The attitude was completely unnecessary. My friend insisted on staying because she still wanted to try the food, so we waited around 10 minutes before being seated.
When we were seated, our table was extremely close to the couple next to us. Even though they were separate tables, the gap was so small that any movement affected the people beside you, which was very uncomfortable.
I wanted to order the biang biang noodles with beef ribs, but they didn’t have it, so I ordered the brisket instead. The food was okay—nothing special and not very different from Noodle Inn. It honestly tasted like they use the same recipe. I also ordered the sugarcane juice, which tasted more like canned juice than fresh. The portion size was big, though.
To make things worse, the toilet was very dirty and smelled disgusting, which really added to the negative experience.
Overall, the food wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t amazing either—just average. Combined with the poor service, uncomfortable seating, and dirty toilet, I don’t feel the need to come back.
