The Best Hot Pot Spots In Philly - Philadelphia - The Infatuation

"An hour-plus wait on a Saturday is commonplace at this Chinatown hot pot spot. And that’s because the Chinese restaurant lets you hoover up salmon sashimi, goods from the salad bar, and AYCE hot pot all at once. We lost count of how many trays of ruby red pork belly, marbled wagyu, and fish balls we plowed through in 90 minutes (relax, it was only three), and it was all pretty first rate. FYI—they take online reservations, so plan ahead if you want to avoid getting up-close-and-personal with the sidewalk for an hour. $33 for lunch and $40 for dinner You get a free lobster for every three people" - candis mclean

The best hotpot I have ever tried in Philadelphia area. All meats taste fresh including the seafood. Lots of options: ribeye, pork belly, beef, abalone, scallops, and plenty of vegetables and other variety of hotpot condiments, all included in the AYCE. They also have several options of drinks. Service is nice. The place decorated like old wooden Chinese style. The broth is very flavorful as well. Very satisfied :)

Google
It is a fantastic place with amazing food ! I recommend trying it. Of course, it is not the best hot pot I have ever tried but it’s definitely one of the better ones in Philly. The food at the meat bar is fresh, only the lobster from the special menu (weekends) seemed a little older than supposed to be. But again, even the lobster was delicious. It’s not like we would have been sick. I have been already 5 times and have never been sick. It’s really a place I recommend

We went on Sunday around 2 PM for a party of 2 people. There were at least 8 other parties seated when we arrived but definitely not rush hour/dinner-time busy. It took some waiting around before we were seated as there was no one at the front/reception area and there seemed to be only 1-2 waiters working. We did not have any troubles finding the restaurant. The entrance is down Cherry St, just past the grocery market. You have to take the elevator up to the 3rd floor. We got the double pot with Extra Spicy and non-spicy Beef Bone Broth. The non-spicy/regular Beef Bone Broth was good but did seem a little diluted. It has ginger slices in it, so do be diligent if you’re not fond of eating raw ginger. Both broths are refilled with the non-spicy beef broth base. You get a selection of specialty items when you first sit down, which includes dishes such as Wagyu, oysters, and clams. We were able to select 4 dishes and decided on getting 4 orders of the Wagyu. Not sure if the number of specialty dishes changes per party size, maybe 2 special dishes per person? In any case, the Wagyu was good but definitely not the best quality (compared to the Wagyu from Chubby Cattle). It was good but didn’t “melt in your mouth” as anticipated, which is fine considering it’s AYCE and not a Wagyu-themed hotpot restaurant like Chubby Cattle. The Wagyu was more tender than the AYCE beef belly slices and was a good choice to try. You also get an iPad to order the AYCE meat, which includes beef belly, pork belly, and a few other options. There is a little area to grab appetizers, vegetables, and other hotpot items. I couldn’t help but feel like the food wasn’t as fresh as it could be. Or maybe it just felt left out, though still perfectly edible. For example, the fried chicken appetizers appeared old and soggy, though not sure how it actually tasted since I opted to not get it. The fried tofu skin were also a little damp. Everything was edible though and tasted fine after cooking in the broth. There is a whole fridge of drinks to select from, all of which are included in the hotpot price and is unlimited. Just be wary about some of the drinks since we noticed a few had expired dates (for reference we ate here in March 2025). I think more popular drinks, like the aloe, won’t be a problem with their expiration dates. It’s not really a health hazard to drink unopened bottled drinks, but it’s always a bit of a turn off and makes you wonder what else is being left around or unchecked. Overall, this hotpot restaurant was a good experience but easily forgettable for me—a one and done-type of experience. The broth, meat, and available food selections were good, but not as high quality to me as Feng Hotpot’s soup broth or Chubby Cattle’s Wagyu. I do think Kungfu Hotpot is one of the better AYCE hotpot restaurants in the area and the price ($40 pp) is well justified for what it offers/AYCE. However, seeing expired drinks and unappetizing appetizers makes me wonder about the overall quality.

Google
Coolest most deliciously authentic hot pot ❤️‍🔥 everything was so perfect & loved the service and atmosphere. Just make sure you’re not a picky eater and don’t expect to be coddled through this process 😂 our server was so nice and explained things but yes you’ll have to get up to go get your veggies/noodles/toppings/rice… the whole vibe is SO fun and the price was incredibly reasonable for how much food we got! COMING BACK ASAP

Had Friday dinner out with friends! The restaurant is on the 3rd floor. There is an elevator going straight to the restaurant. Spacious and family friendly. Wheelchair accessible.

I recently dined at a Korean hot pot restaurant and had an outstanding experience. The service was exceptional; the staff was attentive and knowledgeable, making great recommendations. The food selection was impressive, featuring a wide variety of fresh ingredients, from quality meats to an array of vegetables and dipping sauces. The flavors were rich and satisfying, making each bite a delight. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I can't wait to return!

Google
We enjoyed a delicious introduction to hotpot at this popular 2nd floor restaurant in the heart of Philly's Chinatown. Recommend making reservations if you're coming for weekend dinner.Their price is very reasonable for all you can eat plus free beverages! They offer a wide variety of veggies, noodles/starches, fruit, sauces, quail eggs and more, as sides to boil. Every party or 3+ gets free cut lobster parts as an add-on to the meat and seafood options. Since the hotpot has a center split, we were able to go vegan on one side, meats/fish on the other for boiling. Hotpot is fun but messy: recommend wearing something you don't mind spilling on.

Google
First time at Kung Fu Hot Pot and wow, the food and the service is amazing!!! Love the fresh seafood and their presentation of each dish is out of this world. Love, love the soup base. I ordered the tomato soup base and my husband ordered the spicy and they were both so delicious! The staff and the manager, Aaron are so attentive, kind and very friendly. We also went for lunch and they have special lunch menu too. Definitely give it a try and you won't be disappointed! Keep up the amazing work. We'll be back again. Xoxo

Yelp
You can't go wrong with all you can eat hot pot and BYOB. Great atmosphere and setup at each table along with a huge variety of ingredients and options. The quality of the options are solid as well. Kungfu makes for a fantastic time with friends and/or family to enjoy a hot pot dinner together. Service is always efficient and on point as well. My go to!

Yelp
Here's a polished review based on your thoughts: This place is hands down the best hot pot I've had in years! I'm from MD, and for the price, this spot was far superior to anything I've tried back home. One thing that really stood out--and I'm surprised more people haven't mentioned it--is the rich bone broth. Unlike most places that dilute the broth with water as you go, they actually refill it with more broth, keeping the flavor deep and satisfying throughout the meal. We had a party of four adults and two kids and were offered two lobsters plus ten items from the special menu. We went all in with eight orders of wagyu and two orders of scallops--both were excellent. The quality of the meats on the unlimited menu was incredibly fresh, which isn't always the case at all-you-can-eat spots. Beyond the meats, they had a great selection of frozen balls, veggies, tofu, and an impressive sauce bar. The all-you-can-drink Asian beverages were a nice bonus. I would go back in a heartbeat. If you're a hot pot fan, this place is a must-visit!

Yelp
Great value for ayce! Broth is very flavorful you don't really even need the sauce. You have to get the split pot with two flavors. We got sichuan and bone broth and loved them both. Medium spicy is pretty spicy even though Im Asian, so be careful for those that cant handle heat. Great option overall and even have free lobster! There was 7 of us so we got two lobsters. Their premium limited items were phenomenal too, the wagyu was probably american but really well marbled. They also have a small section of cold plates ready to eat that were great, i liked the tripe dish a lot. Also free drinks is such a plus and they got some cool asian drinks. Only issue is the elevator smells like fish haha like rotten fish. But once you get through that the interior and ambiance is very elegant and makes ypu forget about the fish smell immediately. I suggest reservations at peak times as we walked in at four but at 6 there were a lot of people waiting

Yelp
First time here, I had my eyes at this place for hot pot for a while based on the good rating, finally got the chance to go because my daughter keep bugging me about hot pot so I said ok. Went up to 3rd floor from the elevator and it's there. Seating are very nice as it's all wood bench, the environment is nice and clean with a lot of space. Plenty of food to choose from, most of the main food pick from iPad and it will send it to the kitchen, at anytime you want more just add more item and send it from the iPad. Drinks are included and it seems like you can get as many drink you want from the fridge. The side stations have all the veggies, tofu, fish ball type of food, a sauce station to make your own food. Anyway, they came out with a lobster which seems like it's included for everyone, I picked what we like and all the food was fresh and tasty. This place did not disappoint me as I will go back for another hot pot email, also service was good.

Yelp
WELL WORTH THE PRICE, on initial glance, the price tag can be quite intimidating but listen here...the value is impeccable and hard to beat Fresh seafood, unlimited beef, unlimited asian drinks... The salmon sashimi was actually my favorite thing on the menu...super clean taste, delicious Feels like a completely different ambience and environment when you are on the street and take the elevator up. Service is 4/5 - quite responsive but at times, they can lag. Not too big a deal tho!

Yelp
Went incredibly well, server was nice, accommodating and patience for first timers. The music was relaxing and the food was superb. Although limit choices, I would recommend!

Yelp
Fantastic food and service! I went there with my cousin on a Tuesday afternoon right when they opened so we were the only people there which meant there was no wait. The prices are great value for what you get and they have an open soft drinks bar and a buffet vegetable bar where you handpick the vegetables you want for your hot pot. The server then gives you an IPad where you can order all you can eat meats and they have a wide variety. The ambiance was very calm and the interior design is great, everything is clean and well taken care of. The server was very nice and accommodating too. I recommend everyone come here!

Yelp
Came here for the third or fourth time. It never disappoints. They always have good selections of meat and vegetables options. The included bottled/can drinks are also so good. For $39.99, it is all you can eat and with two premium items per person. Good value and tasty! The staff was kind and checked on the water level a few times. I recommend waitlisting or making a reservation on Yelp ahead of time as the wait can be quite long during prime dining hours. The inside seems clean but the elevator going up was a bit sketchy. The only down side was the limited dessert options. We will be back!!!!

Yelp
I've never been to a hotpot before, so I was a little hesitant in doing so. I ended up having such a fun experience! The ambiance in this place was very cute. We were able to get unlimited meats and noodles to cook, and the drinks are endless as well. Our service was very quick, and we got a lot of food. Definitely recommend while in Chinatown!
google avatar

Yelp
There is a wait if you go at peak hours (weekends, dinner time). This place is good. They limit you on the premium items, such has crabs, wagyu beef, etc. The selection is good and they also offer unlimited drinks . One of the better hotpots in Chinatown. I think it is 39.99 all you can eat. Service is good and they check if you need more broth.

Yelp
Very tasty hot pot place with great variety of items. On floor 3 for the elevator in the Cherry St alley. Good drink assortment that's included with the hot pot. Price for all you can eat includes lobster, crab, ribs, on top of the special proteins, so there is only the one price level. Other places may have 2 tiers for regular or premium but this only has 1 so be ready. Nice inside and the tables are big for all your plates and such. Staff good at bringing out more things for you or filling up broths. All the food trays were nicely kept and refilled when low. All the standard hot pot items veggies, noodles, fish balls, etc. The sauce cart was well stocked as well.

Yelp
My husband and I always enjoy coming here for hotpot as their selection is always a treat! It's a little hard to find at first. There's a small elevator in a dinky doorway. It smells like fish going up but you can see they tried to compensate by placing numerous air fresheners in there ha ha! Seating area is gorgeous! It's as if you're eating at an outdoor market. It can accommodate large groups very well and on busy nights they do have a wait list so you can enjoy the town while waiting. We've waited at most 2 hours 45 min for a party of 5 on a Friday night. 0 minutes on a Wednesday night for 2! Food choices are mostly seafood and your typical hot pot meats with a couple more unique items you would usually only see in an Asian grocery store. They always taste great and have a good selection of vegetables as well. My husband loves that they offer unlimited Asian teas and cold drinks in a refrigerator in the bar area. They're all delicious and fun to try for those that haven't had them before. Service is great, as you order everything in a iPad and items come promptly. We never had issues with seating or getting service when needed, Definitely recommend overall. Make sure if you do plan on coming on a busy night to keep an eye on the waitlist and put your name early!

Yelp
I came here with a friend while visiting Philadelphia, and candidly wasn't sure what to expect with the flat pricing. I was worried for no reason--the premium and non-premium items were incredible, and they had a fantastic selection of fresh vegetables, tofu, and other fixings. The place itself is very unassuming from the outside, but inside it feels like you've been transported to a small village during a festival. The way the seating is set up makes your table feel more private than most restaurants, and the overall vibe is very chill. We didn't feel pressured to rush, but service was also fast enough that we didn't feel like we were sat waiting on service and wasting our own time, either. The unlimited beverages are a hidden gem and allow you to try some really fun drinks. It was a wonderful time, and the food was absolutely delicious. Put yourself on the waitlist in advance via Yelp!

Yelp
I've heard a lot about hot pot but didn't think it could be a worthwhile experience for me since I'm pescatarian-- I was so wrong. I LOVED this experience! First off, this spot is on the third floor so their entrance on Cherry St. is just an elevator. Upstairs, it's a big and bustling space. We came on a Friday night at 8:30pm for a pre-Lunar New Year parade dinner, and it was crowded because a lot of people had the same idea! We had a to wait a bit even though we had a reservation but we didn't mind because they had benches by the front. We got to pick two broths (we went with the spicy broth, tom yum) and since we were a group of three, we got a free lobster too. We ordered some other specialty seafood and meat to the table on a little paper sheet as well as on the iPad. We did order salmon sashimi and never received that unfortunately. We had to remind our server about some of the other things we ordered (they were swamped, to be fair), but we had more than enough food to eat. A highlight for me was the help yourself section towards the front. They have a ton of different vegetables, seasonings, sauces, fruit, and a fridge of great beverages that you can get at your leisure. Like I said, we had more than enough food to eat! Pricing was $39 for the AYCE, and total per person came out to around $53 with tax and tip. Quick Recommendations (from my first hotpot experience): - the spicy broth gets spicier as you use more, and even with added water, the flavor got a little overwhelming by the end of it - be prepared to google cooking times for the seafood, they don't provide recommendations so it's really on you - wear clothes you can wash easily in the event of spills and also smell (because the sauce can be potent)

Yelp
I'm actually quite surprised that it has taken me this long to write a review for Kungfu Hotpot, as it easily and rapidly became our go-to hotpot spot in the area. It opened maybe a year or so ago and we've been frequenting since the beginning. It had hardly any growing pains and was great from the start. There aren't a TON of meat options, but the meats they do offer are good. You get a few specials depending on the size of your party whenever you go, including options like jumbo prawn, scallops, and arctic clam. We usually end up getting multiple rounds of the sashimi, which is shockingly fresh. The sauce bar is plentiful with everything standard you'd want. The app bar has a good amount of fish and vegetables beyond what you actually order. And the drinks are free with a ton of variety, which is great. The food comes quickly and the empty dishes are cleared even quicker. Parking can be a bit tricky, but that's the nature of Chinatown itself. We've never waited for a table but they do take reservations. And the price is great for what you're getting.

Yelp
Beware of Worms. And duplicate charge on card. This used to be my go-to hotpot, but after eating an oyster and then going for a second one, I realized there were worms (LIVE SQUIRMING ONES). I reordered the second time, only to find another LIVE WORM in my oyster. I completely lost my appetite. To add insult to injury, we were given a 20% discount on our meals, but they ended up double-charging us at the end. Awesome.
google avatar

Jo L.

Yelp
Food was good. Nice atmosphere. Decent food. I feel it was a bit pricy but they do give you lobsters and other stuff. I'd rather it be cheaper and not give those things for "free". Enjoyed the variety of drinks available in the fridge Depending on when you come there can be a really long wait. The I've also heard about the smell of the elevator but they much have fixed that because it wasn't bad when I went. Maybe don't come on trash day.
google avatar

Yelp
Hotpot is AYCE for $33.99 per person. There is the sauces/condiments bar, fresh veggies you can get yourself. There are various meats & seafood to order off the iPad. You get your pick of broths too. They have desserts too & it comes with drinks - sodas, herbal teas etc. All the food items are fresh. Good service & good value. Weekday price is $33.99. Weekend price is $39.99. We will be back.
google avatar

Lily W.

Yelp
The broth is not that good. The meats were pretty decent quality. The sauce selection was not splendid. There were sufficient sides options, like fish balls, veggies, noodles, etc. The sushi was mid. This is an alright option if you have hot pot cravings. You self serve for everything besides the meat and broth which will be brought to your table. Atmosphere was whatever.
google avatar

Nicole T.

Yelp
Delicious hot pot! Love that I can get my own vegetables, drinks and seafood, sauces and more. You can also order off an iPad which you have tons of selections of meats and cooked food. You also get a whole lobster for every 3 guest, and specialty selections. we came out more than full. Service was attentive and friendly, places was packed, so I would also recommend making reservations or getting on the yelp waitlist. Definitely recommend.
google avatar

Devon L.

Yelp
Only second to Chubby Cattle for best hot pot in Philly. I would argue that this place popping up pushed Chubby to level out its pricing and offer more bang for buck. In this sense, Kungfu is a trailblazer and stands strong in its own right.
google avatar

Alana L.

Yelp
I was in a group of 8, but I wish the bowl was slightly larger. Even if it was 4 of us, I still felt that the bowl is small, the spicy broth was regular, and we all agreed it was a bit too spicy. We did love the self service for drinks, sauce bar and non-hotpot items. The meat choices were okay. I prefer ordering meats, seafood, veggies, etc and having it come to the table so there is more eating and cooking time, but regardless a great experience. It was a bit expensive ($51 each after taxes), but included premium items (wagyu and scallops) so not terrible. I'd probably skip the premium items if I go back.

Yelp
Walk down the terrible Mango Mango alley and take the small, slowest elevator up to the indicated floor. Each hotpot area fits many so if you're here for 2 it can be a wait. AYCE where you order meat and all the other items are buffet pick-up (veggies, fish balls, sauce, appetizers, etc). The hotpot setup heats up well and the broth is well done and flavorful. They don't have the optimized hotpot setup (spices separates, utensils with hooks, easily controlled hotpot settings, etc) but it still works. More unique is they have a fridge full of Asian drinks (tea, soybean, kids drinks, etc) for AYCE. It's built into the price but I think it's fun to try the different drinks that I would never normally try. I'd make different ordering decisions next time, but no real complaints. Service was helpful, didn't have any problems with time limit, or ordering items. There was some special (?) and we got to choose some speciality meat items which was neat (american wagyu, bull frog, prawns, etc). I am looking forward to taking another person here and trying more drinks.
google avatar

Jason L.

Yelp
They were quite busy when I came and it's a tiny bit shady on how to find this place. You have to go through a smelly small elevator to the second floor. But once there, a foodie world pops open and the variety is more than most places I've been to and I've been to all of the ones in the hot pot capital of southern California. Well worth the visit.
google avatar

Yelp
This place is pretty highly rated, so I was expecting a lot for this restaurant. One thing that was already pretty off-putting was the 1 hour long wait that my group had even though we had made a reservation! I get that it was lunar new year, so the restaurant must've been busier than usual, but it's still frustrating that we had that long of a wait with a reservation. There was also some dishes that we ordered that took long to come out, so the service felt a little inconsistent at times. I did like the selection of food and drinks -- it's definitely a plus that there is such a wide variety of drinks and they are unlimited. I think I would be happy to come here again and would recommend trying it out because the dining experience itself is pretty great, especially compared to some of the other hotpot places I've had in Philly.

Yelp
$40 for all you can eat hot pot is a pretty good deal, especially when Kungfu throws in free drinks for everyone in your party. We each tried about 4 different drinks from their refrigerated section - that alone would have been a pretty penny if purchased a la carte! We made a reservation for our party of 8 (*they said you could only reserve for parties of 6 or more). For every three people in your party, they give you a lobster, so my son suggested next time we invite one more person! With our party of 8, we had 16 special non-AYCE items (to choose from a list that included wagyu beef, live bullfrog, live clams, live shrimp, giant prawns, scallops, abalone). We went with the wagyu beef, clams, giant prawns, and scallops (which were frozen). We also ordered other cuts of beef (very thinly sliced), pork belly, salmon, Japanese tofu, spicy marinated beef, and several other items - there was so much to choose from! We also helped ourselves repeatedly to their AYCE vegetables (spinach, napa cabbage, bok choy and at least five other greens), tofu (fried tofu, regular tofu, tofu skins), noodles, 6-7 different kinds of mushrooms, fish fillet - so many more I cannot recount them all. Different members of our party also made their own sauces from the large selection of toppings/dips at the sauce bar. We had one large hot pot divided yin/yang stype into two different kinds of broth - we opted for the beef bone broth (not spicy), and the "mild" spicy broth. I like spicy food and I would not have characterized the spicy broth as "mild"! Delicious but definitely spicy hot! Tip: wear lighter clothing (I was wearing a fleece sweater and got so hot between the steaming broth and the spice). We've also been to Chubby Cattle and the consensus is that the two places are so different it's hard to really compare them. If we were bringing our Chinese mother/grandmother, we'd take them to Kungfu. If we were bringing our white parents/grandparents, we'd take them to Chubby Cattle. And while it's true if we had 9 people we'd get a third lobster, we were already a little crowded around our table even with a bench on each side of the table - and those who were sitting on the beef broth side could really only reach that broth and vice versa - which was tough if you can't handle spicy so well and are stuck on that side! (which would be another vote for Chubby Cattle where you can get your own bowl of broth).

Yelp
Usually a long wait to get in for dinner time. Once you're in, the food is great (plus the cool Asian drinks are also included in the buffet price). Staff are attentive and you're never left waiting for service. Will definitely come back again.

Yelp
All you can eat hot pot. $40 per person for the higher priced foods such as lobster, scallops, wagyu, and live shrimp. We had 3 adults and a child so we were able to order 7 items off the higher priced menu which was not all you can eat. After those 7 items come out, those cannot be refilled. Each table gets an iPad to order the items that are AYCE. A lot of beef options available. Thinly sliced pork belly, chicken, duck blood, spicy beef, salmon, and noodles were on the iPad menu. There is a bar area to create your own dipping sauce. They have unlimited soft drinks that you can try in the fridge. The fresh produce, squid, tofu, and processed meatballs/sausages are in an area where you can serve yourself. There is an area with dessert and fresh fruits. Next to this section is another section with Chinese cold cuts such as beef tripe, chicken feet, braised beef shank. Everything looked and tasted fresh. We came on a Thursday night for dinner and business looked good. I hear on the weekends, it gets packed.

Yelp
Had a fun time visiting friends and enjoying all you can eat hot pot. We really enjoyed all of the options available for food AND drinks. There was such a wide variety of options for meat and veggies. They also had lots of different noodles available in the buffet area. Our group opted for the all you can eat so we had a lot of fun strategizing what we would order, and we ordered a lot off of the iPad. The staff was super attentive and kept asking us if we wanted refills and to clear our plates. It was also nice to be able to check out costs at the front (no charge) so that we could keep them all relatively scent free. Definitely worth a stop through with a large group. A very fun and interactive meal.

Yelp
Really good hotpot place with good meats and seafood selection. It is an add on but of you don't prefer that the display for other items is amazing too! You order some items- meats, etc from a ipad and it is a self serve for veggies etc. I love how they have a unlimited drink section too that is super cool. This place is a little hidden, make sure to take the elevator to the 2nd floor. The interior is super nice and big. Good for small and large parties. I reallt liked the prawn and the bass plus their meat selection is very fresh. I am excited to visit again, this was super delicious! Oh! And they have salmon sashimi too.

This is such a solid AYCE hotpot place. The broth is so rich and flavorful, and there's a good variety of food even with the basic option. The place is not too spacious but the interior is cute still. I love that they have free flow drinks as well. I would definitely come back if I'm in the area.

Yelp
This was my first visit to Kungfu hot pot with 2 other friends, and we had a great experience. We arrived at 6:30pm on a Monday with no reservations, and were easily seated. The entrance is on Cherry street, and you take the elevator to the 3rd floor (slowest elevator of all time..) Kungfu Hotpot is AYCE, with the option of $32.99 for the basic chicken, beefs, porks, etc - but $38.99 for premium proteins as well as a free lobster! Our party of 3, we were allowed to have 2 premium proteins per person and went with 3 servings wagyu, 1 serving live shrimp (3 pieces), scallops (3 pieces), and striped bass (3 pieces). The wagyu was very tender, and all of the seafood was amazingly fresh. We opted for the tomato broth, and the beef bone broth. That beef bone broth has so much umami, it was so good. They also have a self serve station for complimentary beverages, sauce bar, and area to get your noodles, rice cakes, veggies, mushrooms etc - and a small buffet bar with pre-made ready to eat food. Everything was delicious, service was good and we had a great time. I'll be back again. The bill came to about $50 pp with tax and tip included, worth it for the quality of seafood and that lobster imo!

Yelp
First off, come early and sign up on the sheet to reserve a spot! This place was packed to the brim with people waiting. The restaurant is small too, so it doesn't seat many. In terms of service, it's pretty good. Most of the workers did their jobs without a hitch. We didn't have to ask people to take empty plates away, we didn't have to wait extremely long for the food to come. For the price, the quality is decent. Don't expect top notch quality, top notch presentation, or an unlimited variety. It's got the basic beef cuts for hotpot but what's better is that based on the amount of people you have, you can order two premium dishes per person. So this includes wagyu, scallops, frog, etc. Also, you get a free lobster per table! As for the vegetables, there was a good variety as well and there's even more selections for vegetables, tofu, and noodles in the self-serve refrigerated section. Yes, this section and the sauce section can be a bit messy and look in poor shape but overall, I have no complaints. Next to the self-serve section is unlimited drinks like soda, chinese teas, fruit sodas, etc! This was probably the most exciting part. I'd definitely come back!

Yelp
Amazing all you can eat hot pot place. We always come here for any celebration since there is a lot of different items for people to pick from for the hot pot. You order the items on a touch pad and the food comes quick. It can be a little hectic when you have a big group of people sharing one pot.

Yelp
Overall: ayce quality food for the price! Decently Price for so many luxurious items (abalone, American wagyu, giant scallops, jumbo prawns) and other delicacies of the sea. Definitely worth trying. Came with a group of 5, shared a pot which included 2 flavors: chose original and Sichuan. The fish balls and veggies are up for grabs by the sauce station near the front. Everyone gets to choose 2 premium items from the list, rest is all you can eat. Tip: all you can drink Taiwan/Chinese soft Drinks!! I was so excited to try them all~ Service: decent Asian service, attentive Ambiance: very cute and wooden decor inside!

Yelp
This has got to be the best hot pot establishment in Philly (if anyone knows otherwise, feel free to message me). The food is fresh, as plentiful as you wish, and easily accessible. It's setup where all meats are ordered via an iPad (as much as you want) and everything else is buffet-style, including the beverages, which is a pretty sweet deal. You can get as many packaged beverages as you want. It's a good time for $40 a person. Highly recommend. Each party gets a number of special/premium items as well, wagyu beef, scallops, clams, etc. Among the other items for grabbing are seaweed knots, udon/ramen noodles, fish balls, sausages, mushrooms, tofu, tofu skin, squid, potatoes, fruit, and bok choy among a ton of other stuff. And of course, there is a sauce station. The only downside is that they don't accept reservations for parties less than 3 or 4 (I can't remember). So if you happen to go during a rush, very likely you will be waiting an hour for a table. Value: 5/5 Quality: 5/5 Quantity: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Atmosphere: 4/5

Yelp
First time trying this hotpot spot out and I highly recommend coming here! I usually go to KPOT but now I found my new spot. It's a hidden spot where you take an elevator up to the third floor and there it is. We had the premium option and it comes with a lobster and everything was just delicious. Our broth was half Tom yum and tomato based broths. You order your food off the iPad and also there's stations set up for more food that you can grab, sauces, fruits/desserts and also a fridge where you can grab unlimited drinks. The unlimited drinks was awesome, great selections of teas. My favorite ones were the coconut, herbal and the honey jasmine green tea. I had a lot of those drinks and felt like I got full from that. Servers were so attentive and nice They provided great service! I will definitely be back to this spot. Highly recommend!!

Yelp
My goodness kungfu hotpot was an awesome experience. Ive had hotpot all over the DC metro area and nothing compares. For about $40/pp (we had a party of 3) they gave us a free lobster and choice of 2x premium proteins each. We got 4 wagyu beef, jumbo prawns and scallops on top of all of the included all you can eat ingredients. You get a fully stocked sauce and veggie as well as choice of any drinks in the fridge. The sauces were all very flavorful and service was great. Cant wait to go back.

Yelp
This has to be my no. 1 hotpot place in the area so far. All you can eat style hotpot with a great selection of meats, seafoods, vegetables and fruits. Easy to order with an iPad app and flavorful broth base, my favorite one has to the the fish soup base. Everything was fresh and tasty, the only downside is that they don't allow reservations so there might be a long wait if you come in the wrong timing! The price might be higher than other all you can eat hotpot places in the area, but it was well worth it, atleast in my opinion.

Yelp
I came to Kungfu hot pot with a friend. We think it was okay. She didn't like it because everything was self-serve. They give you a tablet to order meat and seafood. You walk to another section for the rest of the food. There is a small list of specialty items that you can order once and isn't all you can eat. You also have a fridge to take a drink from. This is a good idea for portion control. I like the fresh and high quality seafood options. It's definitely something different compared to other hot pot places. The table is spacious so there is a lot of room for the food. We sat on benches. It's an interesting theme between nature-ly and a modern looking bookshelf. It's on the 3rd floor so you have to use an elevator. The whole time I'm thinking I am going to a massage place. Haha. My friend was saying she hopes the elevator doesn't break, because there is no other way to get up to to the 3rd floor unless there are hidden stairs somewhere. Kungfu hot pot is a lot pricier than any other hot pot places in Philly. It came to be about $40 a person, maybe more. The seat is a bit low with a wide table so I'm constantly standing up. Also, I prefer smaller individual hot pots compared to a big one to share. Overall it's not bad. Something to try if you can.

Yelp
Every hotpot meal here is a sensory journey! The variety of broth options available caters to different palates, from the rich and hearty bone soup to the spicy mala that packs a punch. The quality of the ingredients is top-notch. Whether it was the paper-thin slices of premium beef, the fresh seafood, or the crisp vegetables, each added a unique note to the flavorful symphony!!! The highlight of my visit was the excellent service. The staff was friendly and attentive, taking the time to explain the menu and offer suggestions based on our preferences. They made sure that the food was replenished timely and our hotpot was always simmering at the perfect temperature. The restaurant took hygiene seriously, and it showed in the pristine condition of the tableware, cookware, and the overall environment.

Yelp
SO GOOD! All-you-can-eat hotpot with a great selection of meats, seafoods, drinks, tofu, AND vegetables; now that's how you do hotpot right! I'd recommend the premium, over the basic, AYCE as it gives you access to a much wider range of proteins and is only a few dollars more per person. We made a reservation for Mother's Day, which was a good idea in hindsight, because the place was packed with families waiting on line to be seated. Parties of over 2 people get a complimentary lobster. You then have the option of picking a single or split (2) hotpot bases. Depending on your party size, you will have a limited number of premium dishes that you can order (2 dishes per person). The premium dishes include items like Wagyu beef, abalone, large prawns, etc. You can also order items like beef tongue (a personal favorite!), salmon sashimi (also great), and black tripe! The vegetables and drinks are self-serve, similar to other AYCE-style restaurants. You walk up and help yourself to the assortment. They have all of the tofus that I like: fish tofu, frozen tofu, fried tofu, tofu stuffed with shrimp (another personal favorite!). They also have a wide variety of fish balls, including fish balls stuffed with meat. The selection of drinks is also solid. I really like sour plum juice and soybean milk, both of which they have. The sauce station also has everything you'd need: black vinegar, soy sauce, Chinese bbq sauce, sesame oil, sesame paste, chili oil, cilantro, green onions, etc. Overall, I was super satisfied with the wide selection of foods and drinks that Kungfu Hotpot had to offer. The seating arrangement is also pleasant, if you can get one of the spacious tables by the windows. You may be able to request these upon reservation, but I guess it would depend on how busy the place is when you go.

Yelp
Kungfu Hotpot is a good hotpot spot in Chinatown! You have to enter the building and go up an elevator to the 2nd floor in order to access the restaurant. The price point for Kungfu is pretty price as opposed to other AYCE spots in the area (~$50 after tax and tip per person) but the amenities are pretty unique. You get a few limited choices of specialty hotpot meat items on top of the average meats (wagyu, scallops, prawns). Then you can order your basic marinated beef, pork or chicken off an iPad to get sent to the kitchen. The non-meat items such as vegetables, fish balls, tofu etc. are buffet style in a separate section of the restaurant. This is also next to the sauce station and beverages. What I like about Kungfu is that you get an unlimited selection of popular Asian bottled beverages. The restaurant itself is spacious, charming with its traditional Chinese-style decor, and bright. Service was efficient to get your soup bases and order in ASAP. I definitely recommend Kungfu for hotpot if you're like the additional selection of special meats/seafood and wide beverage offerings. Keep in mind the price point (other hotpot places are around ~$30 AYCE with the same core soup/meat/buffet style vegetable options if you're content with just that!)
