"Like so many good casual spots, Kure started out as a food cart—when the lines got out of control, the owners knew it was time to expand into brick-and-mortar. The menu is full of fresh-tasting acai bowls and smoothies, along with a healthy selection of cold-pressed juices and other healthy eats, like oatmeal and matcha (the West End location actually has some heartier lunch options, too, like salads and quinoa bowls). Astonishingly (and awesomely), 90% of the ingredients used in their products are grown or made in Portland. The other locations only have juice, smoothies and açai bowls, but they're in almost every neighborhood: SE Division, Downtown, Hawthorne, and Moda Center."

I went to Kure Superfood on two separate days, and was happy both times! Staff is very friendly, and personable. Fresh ingredients and taste! Really great spot for on the go.

Google
Easy place to pop in and get something quick. The Avocado Smashed Toast was just right for a little something to eat. The music was very nice like trancy electronica, it was a perfect escape from the easy listening in the office.

Google
Good food The reason I gave two stars is because the atmosphere is super awkward and uncomfortable. No indoor seating. I think it might be this location that is like this. Only outdoor where people are working and cleaning out side. So if you want somewhere you can sit and eat somewhere peacefully and enjoy your yummy food don’t come here (unless you are on the go) They also don’t make Acai bowls but on google they say they do. (which is why I came here in the first place) Overall good food but bad vibe

Google
Really fresh, and exceptionally yummy healthy food choice in the heart of Portland. Spot is warm and inviting. Decent sized menu and priced well. Portions a little on the small side for the price.

Google
Came in when I was having a terrible allergic reaction of hives and couldn't eat anything but fruit and vegan stuff. the staff were very kind to describe the allergens and ingredients to me. Ordered a take away acai bowl which was simply delicious and also a fruit smoothie. My friend also picked up a bowl for themselves.

Google
I have always loved Kure for their fresher take on the smoothie, bars and other foods. I always get the Builder, because is has Almond Butter in it, which is a nice departure from with fruit or green smoothies. Prices may seem a tad high, but they are using fresh ingredients (vegetables, Kale, eyc.) and less of the typical fruit juices you would get at a place like Jamba. Good stuff and good for ya.

Google
Had a delicious açai bowl one morning and it was the perfect start to the day. Super fresh and fast service. Would definitely have again!

Hetta Q

Google
The mission bowl is so good! The smoothies and juices are really yummy too. The employees at this location are easy going and friendly. Some of my favorite food in Portland!

Maria-Elena T.

Yelp
Got the mission bowl and a green juice. I forgot to ask for green apple added which would make the juice sweeter. It was too tart for me. It tasted like it was good for me. Bowl was delicious. They did not skimp on the pepitas! Yum! Lettuce should be more bite size or provide knives. Only forks and spoons were available to go. Service was friendly and quick.

Yelp
Disappointed. Very expensive and ended up throwing half of it out. I wanted something healthy. Got the berry smoothie as berries tend to be lower on the glycemic index. I realize part of the ingredients were dates, but geez! It's like a date smoothie. How many did they put in?? It's clawingly sweet and overpowering. Doesn't feel healthy at all. Might as well just dump 10packets of sugar in.

Yelp
Didn't even get to try... Their hours say 8-4, but when I walked up to go in (at 1:45pm) I was cutoff by someone walking out the door, who told me it was "break time", and that they were closed. I drove there just to try the place out. I'll never go to this location, or any other location under this name. Due to both (evident) lack of staffing, and lack of tact in communication. I gave one star because zero isn't an option.
google avatar

Yelp
Delicious! A little pricey but it was really good. Will be visiting the other locations, but highly recommend coming to this one as well.
google avatar

Yelp
Excellent customer service. I stopped by for a quick and healthy option before I started my day. I had the avocado toast. You can't go wrong with it. Kure's take included sprouts and from what I could taste, really good flakey salt and some citrus. My company reported enjoying their smoothie as well. Great first time experience!

Yelp
I used to live next to Kure Hawthorne and now I order on Grubhub and Postmates from Kure downtown. The little wing is excellent. It's what I get every time, at least once every two weeks. However, ordering online really sucks. I always indicate that I need urinales and they never give me a straw. Part of the joy of drinking this is having a straw. Secondly, online it says I can pay more to add strawberries. However, there is no place to go or click on to actually do that. Therefore, I'm never able to actually get strawberries. Both these issues happen on both apps. Calling Kure is tedious and never gets me anywhere. The person who answered the phone said they have no way to reach any of their branches, so the phone number is rather pointless. They also didn't offer any indication they would fix the apps. TLDR: great smoothies, terrible service and broken online delivery apps.

Yelp
Great vegan gluten free options. Staff is awesome too. fresh juice, smoothie, and a few delicious bowls. The mission bowl specifically is terrific!
google avatar

Shauna M.

Yelp
I have a Kure addiction. I love their açaí bowls and their mission macro bowl (with brown rice and greens and avocado and a bunch of other goodies) is one of my favorite grab and go lunches. The staff here is always so friendly and service is quick. No complaints!
google avatar

Yelp
Really wanted an acai bowl even though it was freezing outside. Conveniently Kure was across the street from my hotel. I had been to this location before so I knew it should be a quick stop. I ended up ordering the Bowl of the Gods which has a peanut butter base instead of Acai. It was too watery and sweet for my liking so I was a bit disappointed. Next time I will stick with a regular acai bowl but I had wanted to try what they were known for. The person who took my order also made my bowl. He was very pleasant and very quick. I will still be back for a regular acai bowl if I'm ever in the area.

Yelp
I love this place as a great meal replacer. reasonably price you get points when you scan your barcode. you can pay from your phone and in most locations are open until 5 o'clock. can't complain everybody here is always friendly, in/out within 6 mins
google avatar

Yelp
Worst service I have ever received in my life. I never write yelp reviews, but whoever that guy is that works upfront is rude, inpatient, and makes you feel stupid for asking a few simple questions. First time in my life I didn't leave a tip and as a visitor from out of town, I will most certainly never go back whenever I return. Always be kind to others, especially if that's your damn job!!
google avatar

Alice P.

Yelp
Great place to spend way too much on a drink Seriously tho, very good green juice Would be better if they added some jalapeño or something to spice it up. My boyfriend loves the peanut butter ones, he usually gets the 'PB & Awesome' whereas I get the 'kid Kyoto' -- which I love
google avatar

Bianca I.

Yelp
Delicious smoothies! Not a lot of variety on the acai bowl options but the bowl of the gods was very good! Staff is super friendly and quick.
google avatar

Issy D.

Yelp
I grabbed a quick açaí bowl here (I've been on an açaí bowl kick lately) and was in and out very quickly. The employees kept apologizing for the wait but they were hustling so I didn't mind! Plus it was barely a wait. I got the full sized bowl of the gods açaí bowl. It had granola, strawberries, coconut flakes, almonds, bananas , and peanut butter blended in. I'm bummed it wasn't creamy peanut butter plopped in there but rather blended in. The bowl was really big for 10 dollars but a little bland in flavor. I like a richer taste, but it was still very refreshing. I would be interested in trying their juice and other bowls.
google avatar

Yelp
"Hate that I love you so!" I don't want to love it because it's not cheap, but it's not too spendy either. The juices and smoothies are so refreshing and so dang good. A couple of my favorites are the Lady of the Day, Double Rainbow, and Berried Alive. I've taken their immunity tonic shot a few times and it has definitely made me feel a heck of a lot better. The love potion juice tastes really yummy as well! The acai bowls are totally worth it. My favorite is the Bowl of the Gods. It doesn't make you regretful of what you get, but just enough to fill you up. My last visit was a little puzzling. I made my order and noticed that the person making my smoothie grabbed a pre-made blender and started taking some banana and other stuff it of it and then adding more stuff into it to make my smoothie. I'm sure berried alive doesn't have banana in it but it was so overpowering from the pre made blender batch that the taste lingered. I was rather disappointed. I hope this isn't a practice that they will pick up. I'm excited to go to Kure Kitchen to try out their macrobowls!
google avatar

Laura D.

Yelp
I'm in love with the Kid Kyoto smoothie, it is truly one of the best smoothies I've ever had. It's filling, tasty, not watery at all and very healthy. Also, the owner is very friendly and down-to-earth.
google avatar

James M.

Yelp
Thanks for the great fresh juices. Served with a smile!! Fast and great options. You can order in advance, too on the app.
google avatar

Emily N.

Yelp
Really great smoothies and juices! My boyfriend ordered the protein smoothie and it was really good. I ended up getting the green juice since it was pretty cold outside. Definitely recommend them both, the guys working there were great too and the service was quick.

Yelp
this cute lil place exceeded my expectations - the staff were lovely & friendly & the sunnyside bowl/oatmeal were great ! thank you!
google avatar

Jay Z.

Yelp
I was craving an acai bowl while in town for a conference. This is super close (walking distance) to the Hilton! Turns out that the acai is premixed. You can't sub in stuff (I wanted to sub in almond milk instead of what the Sunny Side normally came with). The portion is also smaller than what I'm used to compared to the size I get from my normal joint (Sestain in Chino Hills, CA).
google avatar

Yelp
Builders Smoothie: tasted very natural, not artificial. Smoothie consistency very well done, not too thin or thick. Bowl of the Gods: very nice and loaded with toppings. But... açaí was very runny, like a smoothie consistency... so I drank most of the bowl. Or should be thicker and it should hold the topping pieces together... not coat it like a syrup.
google avatar

Adam C.

Yelp
As a man who loves his peanut butter and bananas, trying the Bowl of the Gods was a must and I'm so glad I did. The blended base had a perfect amount of peanut butter in it and I found myself devouring the bowl faster and faster with every bite. Also, I loved how the hemp seed granola had a kind of puffed rice cereal mixed in, it kept the granola light and airy and it wasn't overly sweet like so many other granola varieties I've come across, so I was super happy about that! Absolutely nothing bad to be said about this masterpiece and it's a delicious pick me up for any time of the day. I can't wait to stop by again and snag another one. Stop reading this review, treat yourself, and go grab one of their fantastic bowls! You deserve it :)

Yelp
1 star for awful customer service , if you show up to the location during store hours the door will be locked . The employee will stare at you awkwardly and proceed to do nothing like a bot . There are no signs telling you anything . I would recommend green leaf juicing Company nearby . Carioca Bowl and Moberi are better establishments with better customer service aswell ! I will never support poor customer service ! Also do not DoorDash from this place they set the pricing 3 dollars more and they make the bowls half assed .
google avatar

Yelp
What's really good: Hot Mess Oatmeal (one of the best oatmeals I've had!) Matcha Matcha Man (with stevia, so perfect!) The oatmeal bowl looks small, but it is filling! What's not that good: Bowl of the gods (very liquidy, it's light pink, not much acai in the blend) If you're in search of a good acai bowl, come to Los Angeles! Or go to Hawaii, at least that's what I'm advised.
google avatar

Sandee T.

Yelp
We came here EVERYDAY whilst in Portland: Day 1: Try green juice #1 [Lush Life] = mmm, tasty. Day 2: Try green juice #2 [Extra Mile] = HOLY...what was that that just hit our tongues? Almond butter? Thick and creamy smoothie. Sold!!! Day 3: Try green juice #3 [Queen Green] = ohhh meh. Day 4: Repeat #2. Day 5: Repeat #2 twice, once before brunch, once after brunch.... * YES - Great friendly service everytime. * YES - You can buy any size and ask them to split into 2 cups. Cool~ Wish they had a joint in LA....

Yelp
4.5 stars Kure had a clean and beautiful interior. There was a line when we went in the morning, and it was no surprise because it was an amazing experience. They had Numerous Healthy desserts and raw wraps. They had so many Great products I wanted to try everything, but I only stayed in Portland for a day. Bowls takes longer to make than smoothie because they need to chop fresh fruits. We waited about 7 minutes for our bowl. My friend and I shared the bowl of the gods and were both satisfied. It was delicious and healthy. The granola on top of the bowl was just sweet enough and crunchy. We saw Piles of fresh produce in kitchen. Pricey but healthy and filling serving size
google avatar

Jessy M.

Yelp
I had never tried an Açaí bowl and stopped in here to try one! I was impressed. It was so good. I will definitely be in to try another one sometime.
google avatar

Maryam E.

Yelp
Ok so the pricing maybe not so much but omg the freshness of this place Just as soon as you walk in you get a whiff of fresh fruits / vegetables Their smoothies are all awesome, I had their oatmeal, their oatmeal bar thing, and their açaí bowl which I am currently drooling for. If I even visit Portland again I would definitely stop by
google avatar

Alyssa A.

Yelp
I personally couldn't find anything negative to say about KURE. I believe, personally for the price point, you get a good size portion (referencing the bowls). You can go to other juice bars in PDX or suburbs and sadly get less substance and toppings for the same price. I also read on a different review that they started adding ice to the smoothies and bowls..and I definitely don't mind it. It makes whatever your drinking/eating last longer. Aside from price and portions, the juices and smoothies really are awesome. I wouldn't say you COULDN'T find the same drinks or bowls elsewhere. It is nice that they have multiple locations and have added hot foods.
google avatar

Layla Kailani M.

Yelp
I love the juice and açaí bowls here! The smoothies are also top notch. The Bowls for the win though. They are amazing!
google avatar

Linh V.

Yelp
I'm from out of town, and despite that Kure is a chain, I wanted to give it a try. And I'm so glad I did because their oatmeal is the best I've ever had!! The Hot Mess is around $5, but it's completely worth it. It contains ingredients your average oatmeal lacks, and it provided a tasty, light breakfast for my early day. I would eat it everyday for breakfast if I could. I also tried the smoothie, Berried Alive, and it was perfection. Perfect texture and not too sweet! All in all, I'm bummed they don't have Kure where I'm from!
google avatar

Yelp
I'm pretty obsessed with acai bowls, smoothies and juices right now. There is no shortage of these juice bars in San Diego. Of course we went in search for a good one in Portland, and it definitely looks like we found it! I did not get a chance to try out there Bowl of the Gods (shame on me), but I did have their Extra Mile and was it friggin great! The texture was perfect! The combination of their almond butter, coconut water, kale, coconut yogurt, bee local honey, coconut manna, and ice was a dream come true. Definitely refreshing, perfectly sweet, and satisfying! I could have one every day! The best smoothie I've ever had, bar none. I also had one of their Green #3's that was already bottled up and it was super good! I also had a one of their Cally Snaps too! Very good! I'm sad that I didn't get to try out more of their menu and visit all their other locations. I can see myself becoming a regular if I had a Kure Bar or Kitchen close by. Instead, I will have to hit my spots in San Diego dreaming of Portland's Kure!
google avatar

Pandajoi ..

Yelp
Great catering service! Fantastic work, organized, and on time! We ordered 25, 5 of 5 kinds and they were a hit.
google avatar

Karen Q.

Yelp
I have been on a hunt for the best acai bowls in town and Kure has been on my to-try list for quite a while. I finally stopped by this place on a super hot day looking for a refreshing treat. I got the Bowl of the Gods since it seemed to be one of the more the popular items on the menu. It did not disappoint! The peanut butter tones were an unexpected surprise! The fruit on top complemented the peanut butter flavor well. The entire bowl was not very sweet, which was nice since it didn't leave you with a sugar-induced headache. I know that it was extremely warm outside, but I wish the blend was a bit more frozen to begin with since it got a bit soupy towards the end. I will probably be stopping by Kure again in the future since there are multiple locations, making it accessible. Keep in mind that there will be a bit of a wait during hot days.
google avatar

Kevin L.

Yelp
Kure Juice Bar creates really healthy and tasty combinations of greens, fruits, coconut water and even avocados. They offer some of the freshest and most delicious smoothies we've ever had. Try the Queen Greens, you'll thank me. Their pre-bottled juices are great too, with one word labels that tell you exactly what the juice is best for.
google avatar

Joshua R.

Yelp
The best smoothing place in Portland. I've been following these guys since they just had one cart on Hawthorne. Great to see them expand to more locations. Always thankful for the crew in the mornings at the Taylor st. Location. They have always been efficient, making good smoothies efficiently. Never making me miss my bus to get to work. Super chill duo they got working there in the mornings. I'm partial to all the smoothies with the protein in them like Kid Kyoto!
google avatar

Monica H.

Yelp
Kure's the cure! My friends and I came here in hopes of detoxing our bodies from a crazy food day in Portland. Their smoothies did just the trick. Atmosphere: Clean, natural, and fresh. Just like their menu. Sound: They played some awesome tunes that got me movin' - and the baristas joined me too! Menu: Large variety of smoothies, juices, and other breakfast items. Ask the baristas what they recommend! What I had: I was looking for something on the less sweet side, so I ordered a Kid Kyoto. Perfect. Try if: You appreciate fruits, veggies, and hip environments. Forget it if: You'd rather spend $6 on 3 cups of coffee.
google avatar

Emilu A.

Yelp
Every work day my friend and I walk to Kure on SW Taylor for a shot of KLG (Kale, lemon, ginger). It's one of my favorite rituals. Great customer service, they even greet us by name now, and I always leave feeling like I did something really good for my health. Cheers!
google avatar

Eric F.

Yelp
Excellent service and a great pitstop for green juice as well as kombucha. Prices were surprisingly reasonable in the realm of juice bars and I'd definitely come back the next time I'm in town.
google avatar

Annie L.

Yelp
Came here to try their $3 special they had for the Bowl of the Gods, which is a peanut butter based acai bowl. I love the vibes/decor of the space and love that everything is plant-based. The bowl itself was tasty and I thoroughly enjoyed it. My partner felt it was too peanut buttery for his liking, so I finished his bowl for him. Maybe the portion for the discounted bowl was smaller, but I felt like I wouldn't have wanted to pay $9.75 for the same sized portion. Looking forward to coming back and trying some of their juices!
google avatar

Danielle L.

Yelp
Kure Juice Bar saved my life this week!!! They were able to help with all my specific requests with such positivity. Highly Recommend. The smoothies were delicious. Yum. I'll be back again for more without a doubt. The new Sparkle Pony drink was the best smoothie I've ever had. Thanks JC & Zoë for improving my day significantly with their smoothies.
google avatar

Amber N.

Yelp
I come here literally every day that I work. JC is amazing, always professional, and he makes my berried alive better than anyone. Love the new bars, especially the mint. Great place and great crew!! I definitely recommend to everyone!
google avatar

Mia S.

Yelp
I really liked this place!! The juice I ordered, farmers favorite, was amazing! So fresh, tasty and balanced! I also have had smoothies which are tasty but not my favorite from here.. It's a clean place with positive vibe and good music! I like it! Yum!
google avatar

Clara M.

Yelp
Pretty sure they only hire descendants of Greek Gods to work here. You can't help but notice that every single employee here is tall and gorgeous with glowing skin.. even the ones in the back cutting up veggies! You are instantly greeted by these beautiful specimens and the mostly delightful scent of fresh bananas and maybe even freshly cut grass? Basically everything you could consume in this place is good for you, so you can't go wrong! Just hope that some of the Grecian God vibe rubs off on you when you walk out the door.
google avatar

Michelle K.

Yelp
I was super excited to find an Acai bowl place out here in Portland. After eating way too many Voodoo donuts the night before, the boyfriend and I were looking for a nice light breakfast and Kure sounded perfect! I ordered the Sunnyside and he ordered the Bowl of the Gods. Sunnyside tastes more like a typical acai bowl while Bowl of the Gods tastes like water down peanut butter. Gross! Also Sunnyside has a thicker consistency and seemed to hold up better than Bowl of the Gods which turned to soupy puddle quickly. DESPITE that unfortunate bowl, I really enjoyed my Sunnyside bowl and all the toppings were so yummy! I also thought that the portion size were much larger than what you get back home in Cali so yay for that. I might order it less sweet though because it was on the very sweet side, but other than that I was really happy with Kure! Definitely order the Sunnyside if you're craving an acai bowl!
google avatar

Nia R.

Yelp
I LOVE this location. I love Kure in general but this location is my fave. I've been coming here since 2013. Everyone is SO nice it's truly unbelievable. They're always super accommodating with my nut allergy, always offering substitutions and being careful to use separate equipment. They always take my recycled bowls and cups to use. Super fast service. Always asking about my day and always so happy. When it's not busy they'll sometimes offer up the leftover smoothie or shots from my order or someone else's order. Not to mention everyone in there is so beautiful and sweet, it's very pleasant to walk into. It's always so clean and they allow my dog to come in while I wait for my order. The music is always so upbeat and happy which brings me up no matter how ugly it is outside. Now the bowls, I always order the same thing. Bowl of the gods no almonds and a lady of the day. No where I've ever been, and I've travelled a lot, can even come close to their Acai bowls. The consistency of the base is perfect and thick, the granola is my favorite help granola from natures path, the set up is beautiful. Both the bowls and smoothies are always thick and consistent, never watery or Icey. I can just go on and on about the place, the menu and the workers. Basically everyone and everything is perfect and I will forever remain in love with every beautiful human in there and their acai bowls and smoothies
google avatar

Nadia Z.

Yelp
yummy smoothies + açaí bowls here! super cute place too. I usually go w/ the lush life smoothie, defiantly recommend! :)
google avatar

Ted P.

Yelp
Kure used to be great, but they changed their menu in mid-2017 to cut their costs. Kure has added ice to all of the smoothies -- and RAISED the prices. Their once-delicious smoothies now taste like watery $8 relics of good times gone by. You can pay an extra $1.50 to get a smoothie without ice, but they no longer use all frozen fruit so the smoothie will be a lukewarm disappointment. Why two stars? I've never been had diarrhea from their smoothies. That counts for something, right?
google avatar

May Y.

Yelp
Kure, may I profess my love to you. Everything is awesome, Extra Mile is cool, Kale is awesome when it's with almond butter. Everything is better when coconut yogurt and juice mix together, Side by side, banana and granola gonna win forever, let's party forever, Honey Bee Good, I like Portland, Portland likes me, we're all working in harmony. KURE IS AWESOME!
