"Kusina Filipina was a Filipino restaurant in Beacon Hill, Seattle, operated by the Paraiso family from around 2010 until 2017. The restaurant was a neighborhood hub and beloved by the community. It closed after the building was sold to new owners who raised the rent, forcing the family to close the establishment." - Harry Cheadle

"Kusina Filipina was a popular Beacon Hill destination for family recipes by the Paraiso family. Rising rent costs forced the Paraisos to shutter Kusina in 2017. They acquired other turnkey restaurants — Manila’s Pride in Federal Way and Paraiso Filipino Native Foods in Tacoma — and sisters Trixia and Paula opened CheBogz." - Mark Van Streefkerk

The food is pretty good here - it tastes like my auntie's Filipino cooking (a good thing!). I haven't tried brunch here yet but hope to soon. My only complaint is that the restaurant could use some better lighting.

Very family oriented place, huge food portion for a good price and cozy interior for catching up with friends or just eating alone. I plan on repeat visits, even if it's not the best Filipino food I've had. Then again it is buffet style.

I'm always happy to eat here. Great atmosphere: the staff is always super nice and accommodating. The food is great. Reminds me of home. And you get a ton of food for your money. And there's often a choice selection, from what everyone thinks of when they think of filipino food (pancit and lumpia) to pinakbet (my favorite). I prefer Kusina Filipina to Inay's. Please never leave.

So my sister was dead set on finding a Filipino restaurant to eat dinner at on a Monday which I guess is a bad idea since Isla Manila and Inay's is closed on Mondays.Which is great because I love Lumpia, Chicken Adobo and Pancit ! So, I Yelp searched and found Kusina Filipina which had really good food pictures and reviews. They are listed as closing at 7:30 on Yelp and 7 on their website. We arrive at 5:40 and their is pretty much nothing left there to eat except 6 dishes that were obviously sitting way too long.(everything is served cafeteria style) Which normally I would of just left immediately but, my sister really wanted to have something. The dishes left were Chicken Adobo, Chicken Curry, a Tamarind Soup in 2 types of meats, sausages, and something else. No Lumpia, no noodles, no fried stuff. Just rice and the six dishes sitting in the pan. We got Adobo, Sausage, Pork Tamarind Soup and the Chicken Curry. All of the items were lukewarm and the food was all overcooked probably because it had been sitting for several hours. The flavors were solid but, this meal hands down was a horrible experience and I won't be returning anytime soon. The girl at the counter was super nice so this is not a service problem at all. However, with a hour and half before closing and you are keeping less than 30% of your possible food as your inventory and it is old and cold. The place should just not be open in the evenings, what was left is obviously "scraps" being pawned off for full price and how would I ever want to come back other than at opening if I knew that this is the regular practice for the restaurant. At least have made to order type items like fried stuff or noodles available in the evening. I fully understand to not go into restaurants 30 minutes before close but an hour and half is unacceptable to not have anything.

Unique cafeteria-style Filipino cuisine! You won't find anything like this in Seattle. Hearty meat- and potato-based entrees. Interesting, but safe, flavors.

Hearty food, good atmosphere. Turo-Turo style means that service is fast. Service is friendly. This might be my new favorite Filipino restaurant in Seattle.
