Where To Find Filipino Food in Las Vegas

"Kusina Ni Lorraine offers a fast-casual dining option for those in North Las Vegas, checking off all the boxes of Filipino food cravings: lumpia, pancit, savory stews, and grilled meats. Additionally, the eatery doubles as an Asian mini-market, featuring staple Filipino ingredients, drinks, and snacks. Stock your home with Datu Puti Vinegar and Soy Sauce—a fundamental duo in both Filipino pantries and dishes—or, if you don’t feel like cooking, bags of chicharron—deep-fried pork rinds for snacking." - Bryan A'Hearn

I went on5/31/24 at 8:40 AM. I asked for the buffet. The female worker said, " no buffet." I had to select the food for takeout. The food was good but service was very impersonal. I didn't feel welcomed. Oh no employee greeted me when I entered the store. The store was empty. Don't think I will return.. by the way I am an Asian/Pacific Islander.

Google
The atmosphere is just a typical Filipino grocery with a fast food joint. The food was old and sticking on the liner of the pan. We drove for a good 30mins just to try their food and when we got there the food wasn’t appetizing at all. I felt we wasted our driving time especially we saw a high rated stars in yelp. After seeing what was presented to us the yelp reviewed is just an overrated.

This place can take orders for the day of the party. We ordered party platters, which is great because last minute. Thank you

Google
The other day I stopped by to pick up some food. My Filipino wife usually goes in alone or with me. I was alone this time. While the several workers accommodated the many Filipino customers, they ignored me. I’m 6 ft 3, and hard to miss. I stood waiting for at least 10 minutes. So…I left and will not return. I don’t want to have a requirement of being Filipino to be served. I’ll add,the food is inconsistent, sometimes it’s good..sometimes it’s dried out and not fresh. Basically..the attitude is sub standard! Go elsewhere for good food, and respectful service,Not Kusina na Lorain!

Google
The halo halo that they serve here are completely false advertisement from the picture that they show! The first time: no ice cream it was practically ice with milk! They said they’re supposedly out(even though the fridge was stocked full!) but still had the audacity to charge full price for an incomplete item! The second time I gaved them another chance to prove better service. This order was for my daughter. I don’t even think this is considered a scoop of ice cream or at least a table spoon! Very stingy service and servers or what we called in Tagalog “Korripot!” I practically paid for a shaved Ice with milk! Not authentic Filipino halo halo nor the genuine Filipino hospitality! I have attached pictures to warn others!

Google
Excellent Filipino market and restaurant. You can even buy fish or any kind of meat and they will fry it for free. This is one of the few Filipino establishments in the area. Let's support this business.

Google
Went here for the first time today... it looks small from the outside but when you go in it is pretty good size... when you first walk in there is a small market with all kinds of Asian goodies... I LOVE my snacks so that's the first section i always check out... and i wasn't disappointed... so many choices for a small market... they had different kinds of sticky rice, sauces, Asian can goods, instant noodles, rice noodles, bihon, pansit, they even had produce and some fruits... but what we really came for was the hot food... we were looking for dinaguan... we went 2 different Filipino places but they don't serve that dish... so when we saw that they had it that was a must... their pansit bihon was tasty ad well... we really like the little fried anchovies snack... it was freshly fried so crunchy and seasoned well...

Google
It is a Filipino market with a small eatery. I hit up the eatery. It is absolutely delicious and prices can't be beat. They have the best Pork Blood stew I've had! The pork belly is crisp and flavorful! The Pancit is buttery with a delightful hint of garlic. I will be going back. I want to try all of their dishes! They have a ginger chicken curry. You cannot beat Filipino ginger chicken curry! I also cook, so I will certainly make a dedicated grocery shopping trip with a lunch in the near future! 10/10. Highly recommended!

Yelp
* Food was ok. Not buffet style but buffet price. Food was warm * Servers were Not very friendly. Speaking in Tagalog when I asked about a certain item made me feel they were talking about my inquiry. * Ambiance is a typical Filipino market with kitchen area with tables to sit and eat. The BEST Filipino Buffet is Nanay Gloria on Spring Mountain. You serve yourself or they can serve you as well but their food is hot on a steam table.

Yelp
Tasty spot for some good Philippine cuisine. Besides having a restaurant it's a market as well. It's a must try spot.

Yelp
I'm a big fan of this place. It's just because let me explain. If you're in the Filipino tribe they always criticize why'd you eat at a Filipino restaurant when you can have home cooking. I ate plenty of Filipino places already. Some are just like too commercial not original. Or it's like a hit or miss. I come to this place cuz it reminds me of my mom when she was alive this was our place. Some of their food is just like Mom's home cooking. Rip mom miss you. If I was to go to seafood City I'd probably spend 60 bucks just two plates. Today here at this place same food the price is pretty economical to me when it came out to 29 bucks for two plates.

Yelp
So, it definitely doesn't look like much from the outside. This place is off the strip. The inside is also not the newest, not the most aesthetically pleasing, but my cousins and I were visiting and honestly, the way that the place looked, is pretty typical for these filipino places with immigrant filipino owners. Not knocking it! Trust and believe. Just an observation. As I see my generation (1st gen Filipino american) take over their mom and dad's business, you tend to see more updated and modern places. Okay, to the food! I have never been to a filipino buffet. It has always been "turo turo", so this was cool already. The food was very good. There was monggo which was almost as good as my mom's. I loved the tocino. I could have just eaten all of that! The bistek was yummy, but not much onions and more soupy than I'm used to. I liked the kare-kare with some bagong. The sinaag was pretty tasty. My cousin also tried the squid adobo; her only problem was that they didn't take out the spines. The dinaguan was pretty good too! miswa was yummy. Drinks are not included, but they have all the fountain drinks; canned soda; melon drink as well as sago't. We didn't have any of those, just ice water. The price wasn't bad especially when you consider the casino buffet prices. 14.99 plus tax. Plenty of white rice as well! Overall, I enjoyed the food. We stuffed ourselves silly and it was worth it. We would go again when in Vegas. Maybe one day someone will do a filipino buffet in VB (hint, hint any of my fellow pinoys/pinays!)

Yelp
Went to buy menudo and the pork was tougher than my grandma and so many carrots and potatoes. 1 tilapia is like 11$. I was just craving. But i shouldve bought it at marianas for 15$ with 5 tilapias. Somewhat food is tasty but not sure if its freshly made.

Yelp
Picked up some beef tapa for breakfast this morning. Meat was on the tough side this morning. They're not very consistent with their tapa. There are some days when it's tender but not today. But here's my issue today. After consuming what I could eat, my wife sees a piece of hair on the inside of the container!! Wth!

Yelp
I have to say, I am so thankful for Kusina Ni Lorraine. I placed an order for my daughter's wedding. Apparently there are 2 packages to choose from. I chose package 2 which contains a choice of 6 medium trays. You can choose whatever items that you would like. You can also add additional tray or side items and desserts to your order. I ordered pancit, rice (large trays separate from my 6 med trays), 200 Shanghai lumpia, 100 vegetable lumpia's, and my 6 medium trays were, 2-chicken on a stick, mechado, adobo, chop suey, and shrimp with green beans. The ordering process was easy, I just called it in, let them know the date of the event, tell them my order and pay a small deposit fee. With all the food I ordered, it was unbelievably affordable. Everyone raves about the food and how delicious it was especially the pancit! The food was a big hit that there were no leftovers!! I can't thank Kusina Ni Loraine enough, the wedding reception was fantastic! If you ever want affordable and great tasting food for your next big or small event, you should consider Kusina Ni Loraine, you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Food good here especially for catering. Staffs are nice and friendly. Store is clean. I'm glad I live so close.

Yelp
All I wanted was to eat to fulfill my hunger but once I opened up my to go food. Well all I got was fat!! Disappointed and still hungry, I ended up getting Taco Bell.

Ireen M.

Yelp
Nice to find decent Filipino food away from home. The price is reasonable and decent portions. You can ask for free broths which is typical for carenderia in the Philippines. The service is good which is expected for any Filipino restaurant.
google avatar

Noemie M.

Yelp
Foods are actually good but a little pricey I think. They have a lot of food to choose from. I heard you can order ahead of time but I haven't tried it. They also have some already made desserts. I really like their kutchinta. They also have a mini oriental market inside aside from the restaurant. This is actually a good spot. I just wish the workers a little friendly and nicer.

Miguel H.

Yelp
Nice little store and restaurant. Had everything some people may be looking for. And a nice selection of Filipino cuisine to have for lunch or take home for dinner.

Robby Rose S.

Yelp
I like the location since I live close by, food is ok depends what day you buy since it is commercial they would reheat like pork belly I bought was reheated so when I took it home it's not freshly grilled. I usually order the Dinuguan you can't go wrong with that, the mongo, I suggest fried stuff is ok I guess best to go is Friday and Saturday that's just my opinion on freshness. The workers are nice as long as you don't give them attitude and don't get offended easily. Overall, 4 Price, ahh not that happy some are overpriced on the grocery section. Mabuhay,

Yelp
Excellent location... fast professional friendly... large selection... good size parking lot... A+

Yelp
Dishonest people at this location ( W. Ann Road). The food being served is NOT within compliance set by DPBH! Some of their cooked food are set on the side counter not on the warmer. Jack-up prices on some of their merchandise at the grocery side! They are ringing higher prices on some of their merchandise differently of what the advertised price says. Overall pricing, too high! Their a-la-carte pancit is priced too high, all but noodles and cabbage. If it's a-la- carte, they should have added more meat in it. The dining table is dirty!! The food servers are NOT wearing facemasks and head coverings! I will NOT patronize this food chain joint anymore! This 1 star review goes to West Ann Rd location
google avatar

Isabel P.

Yelp
Most of the foods are EXTRA salty. There's no amount of bland white rice can tone it down. The customer service leaves room for a lot of improvement! Price point is not on point.

Arlene R.

Yelp
2 stars pretty generous. Pork adobo has poor quality meat like the rest of their meats that they use. Too bad. Good flavor but pretty tough to chew

N J.

Yelp
We went here because of a recommendation from a you tuber named Rock Star Eater. We had high expectations for this place because of the recommendation, we were very disappointed when we finally ate the food. Of all the food they served, I can only recommend the kare-kare. My girlfriend was so disappointed.

Patty C.

Yelp
If you like Lumpia the homemade taste of this place is fantastic. It's a small grocery store with Filipino items and lots of dishes like chicken adobo too. Must try

Bob C.

Yelp
I had one of my luncheon events catered by this restaurant. Everything was spectacular. Thomas was great he delivered. Everything did a very nice job and now me and my wife go into the restaurant I especially like the squid and I'm a white boy. What does that tell you thank you so much your skills are excellent
google avatar

Mia L.

Yelp
I did catering for my birthday and I can honestly say it did not disappoint, everything was so tasty and fresh and they even put in extra work to even make it look nice and cut little flowers out of lemons , I would say for the price I paid it was definitely worth it and would 100% do again

Yelp
I need to place an order at Henderson branch but nobody was answering since morning. Mind you it is now 2pm. I called Ann Rd branch to ask for the # of their Henderson location and was told to call the Rancho location because that's the owner of that branch. I was like ooookay. That's odd and not very helpful. It's like they don't want your business. I have Ann Rd branch 3 star just because the lady I spoke with was nice. I called Rancho. The lady that answered the phone put me on hold after I told her what I need and then she hang up. Thinking that was just a mistake, I dialed again. The same voice answered. I told her what I need and she immediately told me to just Google it. I told her I've been calling since morning the # I found on Google, and that I called Ann Rd branch and was told to call Rancho because they are the owner. Her voice obviously frustrated told me to just Google it. I explained again that the number found on Google has not answered since morning. And I repeatedly told her that Ann rd said to call their branch in Rancho. Exasperated she then said "wala kasi may ari dito, iGoogle mo na lang" Wooooow! ‍ so much for customer service. These employees does not want our business.

Jenn L.

Yelp
Food is a hit or miss and the employees are often rude. I've come here a couple times trying to see if it was an off day for the cook or employees. Food was better the second time around but the employees... not so much
google avatar

Maria M.

Yelp
The food server behind the counter had no mask and kept on talking while scooping food in the styrofoam container. I didn't say anything because I don't want to embarrass her. I went ahead and paid for my order but I threw it in the garbage. She should not keep on talking with her co-worker while serving or scooping food coz she could be spitting her saliva into the food. Don't know if she has hepatitis, HIV or Covid.

Khalhea G.

Yelp
Tonight I went in to get some lumpia. Since it's fried to order I decided to browse the store while it was cooking. The lady in the front felt the need to follow me down each aisle and pretended to fix things. i guess she felt the need to "watch" me, the only BLACK in the store. I ditched her and sat in the dining area to ease her anxiety. I enjoyed watching her run around looking for me. When she finally came back up front she "found" me and looked quit dumb. She was so embarrassed she had the cook bring my lumpia to me. I will never set foot in that racist establishment again.

Deloris G.

Yelp
This place has gone downhill. The server working the counter continued talking to a friend 2 or 3 min after I walked to the counter. I ordered the pompano fish as a combo. The server scooped up rice, then informed me that it doesn't come in the combo. Since she couldn't prepare this as a combo, I asked to get the fish alone. She then put the rice back into the rice cooker. Now I don't work in food service but I don't think it's sanitary to scoop rice into a plate & then put it back into a cooker with clean rice. I paid for the fish but I don't plan to return here. Prior to the COVID outbreak, I ordered food here frequently. NEVER AGAIN.
google avatar

Sheena Q.

Yelp
I think $70 for 50 lbs of rice is a little too much. I bought it anyway because we need it. NO TO PRICE GOUGING.
google avatar

Theresa M.

Yelp
The best place to go for Filipino food. The lumpia is excellent!! The pancit is the best I've ever had. Mungo beans and sigsig are the best!! OMG!! I love going here.

Tmr L.

Yelp
I ordered a Large whole roasted pig a week ago and i was really dissapointed it was skinny, not crispy,no meat inside.it was pale not even red color and it looks like its been seating for many hours and that was 303 dollars.Never again .

Yelp
Went here today. Love their food. Reminds me of my mother in laws cooking before she passed away. Customer service is terrible. But the main thing that disturbed me today made me sick to my stomach. While Logan, (my girlfriends son) was finishing up.... the guy in the stall was using the plunger to unclog the toilet. And the stench filled the air. I was gagging as Logan kept complaining of the smell. The guy came out whistling and walked straight out. Didn't wash hands or anything. So we were going to order food. We're waiting on the lady while she casually changed over the pans. As we finally received help and I told her what I wanted, the guy that was in the bathroom came out to assist her with the dirty pans to take back. I ended up leaving. Be careful with this place. I won't be coming back. I usually come here once a week and spend 30$. Now I need to search AGAIN for good Filipino food. If you know of a good..CLEAN,SANITARY restaurant please let me know... What a disgusting employee....

Yelp
ROTTEN FISH - Sometimes the food here is good - once in a while. It's the closest Filipino place to our home that's why we stop in once in a while. Yesterday did it for me though, bought some Tilapia to fry at home - WHAT THE HELL! The fish was greenish yellow inside. The meat was mushy (obviously previously frozen) and the stomach had this greenish/yellowish mucus like stuff on it. How dare them even give this to a customer when the guy cleaning it for sure saw the state of this fish. I will never stop by again specially knowing they are okay selling sub-standard CRAP or fish I mean. Be warned the pictures are gross. This place is gross. Left a message and so far no one called me back!

Joanne M.

Yelp
The BEST Filipino food on this side of town! I've lived here 8 years now, and just stumbled upon this place last year! EVERYTHING is delicious! My husband and I frequent this place at least once a week! Their karekare is my absolute favorite. My husband and parents really like their dinuguan (if ya know, ya know).

Vic T.

Yelp
Worst pilipino food in Las Vegas. Food was old and greasy. Very bad fast food I ever had and ended up throwing it out in the garbage can!!! AWFUL FOOD!!!!
google avatar

Diane E.

Yelp
if i can give Zero stars i will. These people the rice was $52 the other, now they put $60 for a medium grain rice, not even a jasmine rice, just because of the coronavirus and these people panic buying they really are taking advantage...that is sad.... shows what kind of business you are..
google avatar

Tracy C.

Yelp
Outside looks really small but inside you have half a restaurant and the other half store.. cashier is not as friendly but I always tip her (never know what a person Is going through).
google avatar

Dennis G.

Yelp
Went in to buy rice. They didn't have any put out where it normally is. We asked them and they said they had some in the back, but was selling a 25lb bag for 38$. Never going back to this place again. ***RIPPING PEOPLE OFF!!!!***

Yelp
Never knew about this one closest to my parent's house, I've always gone to the one on Ann road and always ordered catered food. This one was convenient for where I needed to be that day. I called about 2 hours before I needed to pick up to order 100 pieces of Shanghai Lumpia and a half tray of pancit. I asked if it could ready by 230, which they said not a problem. Perfect for me because l I had to do is run in, pick it up, and I'm on my way to my potluck in time. I ran some errands and got there at 230. When I went to the cashier, she advised it wasnt ready and proceeded to say I said 245. She went to the back and she said they were almost done anyways tho, so I went ahead & paid for it. It became busy, so I sat in one of the tables and was watching to see if they were bringing any of it out. 20 minutes later, I had to ask where the food was. She seemed like she was training, so I gave the benefit of the doubt, however it took them another 10 more minutes to bring everything out. I definitely wouldn't order any catered food from here anymore. I'd rather go the extra mile myself to Ann road because they've always had food ready by the time they say it's ready.
google avatar

Todd T.

Yelp
Found this location by accident... quite pleased.. have been to other locations in the past.. this one is much nicer. It is convenient that that have a store there.. no longer have to drive to seafood city or 168 to pick up items the wife likes. And the buffet is great!! We can now drive around the corner for good food ! Hope the keep the quality up!

Yelp
Dorris is such a sweetheart! She's very helpful and goes the extra length to make sure you're taken care of.

lorna c.

Yelp
Has a lot of choices for to go items. The portions are pretty good too. The ladies are very friendly . I would say though the pancit can get too dry when sitting too long in the warmer . Overall I am happy that I can grab Filipino food whenever I crave for one .
google avatar

Mia S.

Yelp
I saw this place on Yelp and just so happen to drive by it. Stopped in an bought the 2 item plate, C-2. I got the Chicken Adobo and Lechon Kawali. Wasn't a fan at all. Chicken adobo taste was off, and lechon wasn't crunchy at all. Honestly the Sinigang soup tasted like dirty dish water...Definitely not my GO-TO-SPOT.

Marikoh H.

Yelp
lorraine's filipino food in rancho drive near craig rd is open on quarantine shutdown. customers are eating there during covid...they sell food items that are 2-3 days old & they just reheat & reheat it. additionally, while covid19 is going around & restaurants are ordered to be closed by gov. sisolak, lorraine's is open for customers to eat which is prohibited. another offense: lorraine's is gouging rice for $40.00 for 25 lbs bag & $75.00 for a 50 lbs bag. the original prices before covid is: $ 21.95 for the 25lbs bag & $ 39.00 for the 50 lbs bag. i was about to buy rice but upon knowing the high price i decided not to. i called the nevada attorney general's office and i asked for a form where i can write all this information & mail it back to them. i am now informing you about what happened so that other buyers will know about the price gouging. this restaurant/store had been on channel 13 dirty dining twice & this is the reason why i do not buy take out food there anymore. this place must be shutdown..!!

Yelp
First time here at Kusina Ni Lorraine. Very disappointed. The lady that was serving our combination order was so stingy and I have to asked her put some meat to my Kari Kari and she said she can only put only 3 slices meat and I was shocked. Anyway, We will never ever go back and Food was not good anyway.
google avatar

Yelp
Good variety of Filipino food. Nice clean and huge space. The staff is very nice. I like the two Filipinas that help in the front. Very respectful and pleasant. Most of the times their Sisig is on point but there's been occasions where it was too oily. Just a tip they need to drain the excess oil.
google avatar

Steph M.

Yelp
This location was dirty. Sticky floors. The pancit was underwhelming, kinda bland compared to other locations.
google avatar

Kristina S.

Yelp
I'm not fond of this place when it comes to checking out... The more you buy, the more you will end up with tooooooooo many TAXES charged that has no explanation why in one receipt ends up with too many taxes??????

Yelp
Lumpia #1 hands down the best !!! Every time I have a party to go to I show up with a minimum 100 and they fly !!!!!!!!!!! Matter a fact I just called and ordered a hundo for tonight's baseball team Xmas party !!!!!!

Yelp
Ordered Longanisa (SPECIFICALLY asked for short fat real Longanisa). NOT The hotdog like Longanisa or what so called hamonado Longanisa, and what I got!!!! The wrong Longanisa. This is supposed to be my comfort food and now its ruined.

Yelp
Good food. Love the Kare Kare. Ordered an extra large to-go but they didn't have enough. We agreed to wait 30mins for a new batch to be cooked. They gave us more meat due to the wait. Great accommodation. Clean and well organized.
