I had the curry ramen and it was really good. I was sad to discover that the naan chips were substituted with store bought crackers. The flavours were good and enjoyed in that cold day outside. There are a few more options I’d love to try in the future.

My wife and I were just there for lunch today. There’s a line out the front 1:30pm on a Monday which’s saying something. It’s super warm inside which is awesome for a cold day like today. The service was top notch. I did not get the waiter’s name, but he’s super effective and tentative to us the whole time while taking care of the other customers. Took away empty plates refilled water glasses without us asking. It was great. The food was delicious too especially the beef don. The sesame sauce really elevated the flavor. It’s the first time I had a beef don with that flavor profile and I loved it. Overall, I would very much recommend this place.

Amazingly delicious food, transparent and reasonable bill, and good service. I got the spicy tonkotsu and would give it a 10/10 as a ramen lover. Matcha ice cream was also perfectly balanced. Would definitely go again and recommend.

Ordered the Karrage Curry Rice with japanese fried chicken... simply the best japanese I've had in NY. This dish blew my mind. Amazing!

Found this little ramen shop on Yelp and came in at 5pm. There was no wait. These soju drinks are so good! The flavor of the ramen broth is really good. I wish the meat was a little more tender but I other enjoyed the ramen. We also ordered karage chicken and that was solid.

If you’re looking for authentic Japanese ramen, I would NOT recommend this place. Not worth the price. Service was quick but unwelcoming. The sesame ice-cream was good tho👍

This Japanese cuisine was a culinary delight. So much so, we came two days in a row. Totally recommend the tuna tartare, karage chicken and of course the ramen bowls

Came here with a friend for dinner after work on a weeknight, and we had a bit of a wait before getting seated. It is quite a small space, so seating large groups will likely take some time; luckily, our wait for two wasn't too bad. Only concrete feedback about the ambience is that it was very warm in the restaurant, so it wasn't as conducive to enjoying a hot bowl of ramen on top of it. I ordered the homemade yuzu turmeric drink ($3) and the (recommended) Kuu chili ramen ($17). I thought the prices were very reasonable for ramen in New York! The ramen was very filling, if a little bit heavy. It isn't like other ramens I've had (shoyu, tonkatsu, dashi), and the chili broth had a sweet tang to it. I enjoyed it and also appreciated the variety of toppings that came with it, but again, just a bit heavy and oily. The yuzu turmeric drink was also good and not too sweet (almost like a tea) and helped cut through some of the oil, but I found the yuzu a bit too subtle.

Kuu is a small ramen shop that is a very reasonable walking distance from the Oculus. There was a small line outside but we were able to get seated quite efficiently. Because the place is on the smaller side, I don't really recommend having a party larger than 5 but it was a nice and quaint place. Our server took our orders efficiently and had the food come out in a timely manner. I ordered the Tonkotsu Shoyu which was good but nothing extraordinary; it looks like a classic, picture perfect ramen!. My friend tried the Kuu Chili and she was able to substitute pork with more chicken, so that was nice they were able to accommodate her diet. Overall, service was quick and the servers were nice. It was delicious, but wouldn't go out of my way to come back.

We came here on a Sunday at 2pm and I was wondering, who would be eating at 2pm? well, we took the last seats (party of 2) but people were emptying the seats quickly so it didn't take too long for another pair of seats to become available. Service was great and the food was even BETTER! Beef menchi katsu curry: 10/10 good, curry delicious and perfectly crispy. It was delic Tonkatsu shoyu ramen: after eating a bite of this, I don't know what the previous ramens I've had in my life tasted like but they don't taste as good as this. Never been so satisfied with a meal before in my life. This ramen is revolutionary, truly the best ramen outside (and maybe inside some parts!) of Japan! I could not recommend this place more! It's so worth it to come for the food (and some of the views in the financial district!)

{Overall: 3.75; Food: 3.75} Service: 3.75; Ambiance: 3.5 I have been eating at Kuu for years, and the quality of the food has always stayed consistent. (I've also ordered their noodles for delivery multiple times and they never disappoint.) The type of Ramen they make is perfect for when you're hungover or looking for something warm and comforting to eat and don't want to leave the neighborhood. Their ramen is delicious and definitely leaves you wanting to come back. The restaurant is small, but it has plenty of places to sit (it's also great for solo diners) and the service is friendly.

Came here for a quick ramen fix with my in laws - it's a pretty small restaurant, so seating can be a bit cramped. Definitely would not recommend for a party over 4 people. The place fills up fast and you might end up waiting outside for a bit, but service is fast and diners are always in/out of there. We got to try 3 different ramen - the beef one was a bit too sweet, but otherwise really good. And all the apps we ordered were great.

We got there about 45 mins before closing and the staff still accommodated us (don't make a habit of our poor behavior though and make sure if you do cut it that close, tip well and leave as soon you can so they can close up!). I had the spicy chilli ramen and my sister had the sukiyaki donburi bowl and we shared the cucumber salad. The cucumber salad was very refreshing. The ramen was tasty, but the broth was a bit salty. The toppings in the ramen were generous. My sister's bowl was good, but it didn't seem like true sukiyaki--the meat isn't cooked by the heat of the rice, instead was fully cooked at arrival. Of the various times I've walked by Kuu for years, everytime I visited the city, I've wanted to come but it's always busy. It's a great little ramen shop in the financial district and I'm glad I finally got to try it. Will come again in the future!

Right after Sunday church, a few friends & I decided to stop by for lunch. We were quickly greeted by the waiter Chris and were seated. Right away initial reaction is that this is a small cozy place focusing on Ramen, simple app & now curry on rice. If you were to come during busy time you would not be able to linger and converse. Water was quickly brought to our table and orders were taken. Service was quick. Our food quickly arrived and everyone enjoyed their food. Since it was quiet we were able to sit and talk for another 20-30 minutes before we left. Small menu but all in all well done. I recommend this place if you want a bowl of hot Ramen.

Kuu serves great quality ramen. It's a small store in Fidi, but has space to sit in if you don't want to takeout or get it delivered. Often at night there will be a short wait to dine in, but not very long. We love the tonkotsu shoyu ramen which comes with the typical toppings, half an egg, chewy seaweed, and scallion and a delicious broth that you want to drink.

We stopped by Kuu after craving Japanese curry and this restaurant did not disappoint! If you happen to be near FiDi and are craving a savory and hearty Japanese meal, Kuu is the perfect spot! Prices and flavors definitely beat out many of the bigger restaurants in midtown and east village. The pork katsu curry brought me back to Japan. It was rich, savory and I honestly could have eaten two! I wish they had additional sides of toppings you could order for the curry though. I had to order a pumpkin croquette bun separately to throw into the curry and I honestly enjoyed it more than the pork katsu itself. The ramen was also one of the better ones I've had in NYC and this is not an exaggeration. Noodles were thinner than most places and the broth was so rich and fatty. As you can tell from the pics, almost nothing was left over. I'm already considering this my go-to spot for Curry and Ramen in the future!

Recommend. The chili ramen is fantastic! I ate in at the side bar, and found myself whispering sweet nothings into my bowl of spicy, delicious noodles.

Food (4/5): Got the kuu chili and my partner got the beef curry ramen. The kuu chili had good noodles and meats but the broth was too salty. I asked to add hot water to make it less salty but still quite salty. The beef curry ramen that I tried was quite good. It could've had more beef slices. Service (5/5): The server was patient and helpful. They seated us quickly, got food out quickly, and came over to help when asked. I asked to add hot water to the salty ramen and they were able to do it with no issues. Ambiance (4/5): Kind of a small and cramped restaurant but they do a good job of fitting a bunch of seats and using dividers. It's decorated to look like a Japanese ramen lunch spot.

Average ramen place with plenty of options to choose from but with basic ingredients. Some Ramen places, will add additional spices, mixture of diverse vegetables, or add additional components to help "spice up" their food, but that was lacking here. Additionally, they were very few vegetarian options, except for the miso ramen, which I ordered even though it still tasted good. There is indoor seating available and it's located in an east / strategic part of the city, close to Weill Cornell Hospital. The soup tastes good even as take away, so it makes it a convenient meal for those who also have to return to the hospital o.

We ordered the Kuu chili ramen & the pork katsu curry rice. The wait time was about 30minutes for a table for 7. The seating was a bit tight, so I would not recommend for a large group. However, food was certainly delicious. For the pork katsu curry rice, portion could have been more generous since there was only about 6 pieces of katsu. The ramen was on the spicier side, so if you like spicy food, this option is for you. I also ordered the pomegranate drink (not pictured) which was about $3. Definitely a good addition to your food.

Stumbled upon this gem of a place in lower Manhattan, near World Trade. Small cozy restaurant with Japanese staples. I was by myself so only could try their recommended signature ramen, the Kuu Chili. Menu has Two chili peppers on it and sure was a bold flavor. Luckily I prepared by ordering a Yuzu Tumeric drink to calm my palate. It is chicken stock, ground chicken with a piece of pork belly, marinated egg, bamboo shoots and plenty of julienned scallions. Satisfying. I will definitely go back to try their curry dishes and Japanese fried chicken. They all looked fantastic on the menu. The busy lunch crowd is testament that their food is good. Service was courteous and quick

Despite the brisk weather, we were swiftly greeted as we waited in line outside, and within moments, we were ushered in and seated at one of the few tables in the intimate space. The ambiance of the establishment exuded warmth, with its snug interior and friendly staff. With only a handful of tables, Kuu Ramen offered an inviting atmosphere, accommodating no more than 20 patrons at a time. As we perused the menu, our anticipation grew, and we were not let down. My husband opted for the Kuu Chili Ramen, a spicy and aromatic delight that packed a flavorful punch. While it was a tad too spicy for his palate, he swiftly traded bowls with me, and I happily indulged in the Spicy Tonkotsu Miso, a rich and savory broth that left me thoroughly impressed. The portion size was generous, offering excellent value for the price - we were all very happy and had a lovely time whilst there. Meanwhile, our son savored every bite of his Tonkotsu Shoyu, complete with all the accoutrements on the side. The attentive staff ensured that our dining experience was nothing short of delightful, adding to the overall charm of Kuu Ramen. Kuu is about a half mile from work, so I placed a to go order and walked over to pick it up. I ordered through the Yelp app and paid through the Yelp app as well. The reviews look good online so I was excited to try it out and I've really developed a liking for Ramen. The location is a small spot on Fulton Street but the signage is pretty good and once you go in, they have beautiful wall art decoration tight space to eat it but you can't eat in the server was at the door and I said I had to pick up order and she showed me to the front counter with the register is and my lunch was there to pick up so I picked it up to go back to the office. I ordered the TONKATSU SHOYU RAMEN and the Kuu Fried Chicken. They were packaged well and the actual sauce to go with the Ramen was in a separate bowl. I like this because it kept nice and fresh and not soggy the rum was really good they had like fresh green onions, pork broth, kaki pork, arugula, bean sprout, garlic chip, naruto, egg, sesame, and black garlic oil. It was really delicious. The fried chicken was delicious and came with a spicy mayo! It was good and I'll be back!

Was having a ramen craving and found this spot in FiDi on google maps so decided to check it out. I was pleasantly surprised at how flavorful and rich the broth was! The ramen was served with thin noodles which I loved. The restaurant itself is a little small, only a few tables to sit at, but people were in and out super quick. Service was also very fast, my food came out a few minutes after ordering and was nice and hot.

Tiny place, near the best Fulton st train station. I was craving good, affordable ramen with aesthetically comfortable dine-in capacity. This was the best I found in my search and I do agree it fits that description! The server was quick - they have to be given it's so small. So, it's run quite efficiently. Although she never came to collect my money so I went to the register as a good citizen should. Lol. The ramen here isn't my fave, I have my fave spot that is still unmatched so far, but this is different & tasty nonetheless. I've had twice now, once in once to-go. It's a bit saltier than I'd prefer but if you've got a cold that's good. The dark meat is a bit harder than how I'm used to my chicken being in ramen but so flavorful I killed it. Go, enjoy!!

The broth smelled like old, rotten pork. The restaurant didn't smell great either. I couldn't stomach it.

Came here a few times after work and always had a great experience, but one time I invited family for a quick meal at the restaurant and it was unfortunately a horrible experience. The server assigned to us was extremely aloof and rude, rolling his eyes on us and not being accommodating to simple requests. The restaurant had a particularly limited space and seating, but with that atmosphere it was acceptable enough to enjoy your ramen. The Kuu Chili ramen (4/5) was always a delight. Spicy, rich, and full of umami. The food here is good, but as the saying in the restaurant industry says "people may forget the food, but not the service".

After a long hard day from work, Kuu Ramen is the best place for a hot quick ramen dinner stop. Unfortunately, there are times that the queues will always be long and steady, nonetheless, it will be worth the wait because the food is filling, refreshing, and flavorful. I highly recommend eating here during the evenings around winter season, it's one of the places I usually come by with a friend to have a personal chat. By the way, I have noticed that the fewest friends you can invite here, then the waiting game will be less than a few minutes. Lol.

Food was very spicy but very good! The service was very good! We came 30min before closing to try it out and the the staff had a very last call but decided to fit us in! This was amazing, because we really wanted to try it out. The Ambiance was good as well! I still feel it was extremely nice that they let us in even though they were going to cut the last call. Now to the food! We ordered the Kuu ramen, honestly it was extremely spicy!!! It has a lot of flavor and I even ordered this in mild but the heat REALLY kicks in even with mild! I would recommend something none spicy if you can't stand the heat! The fries on the other hand with the sauce were amazing and to die for! My other friend ordered curry with rice! She said it tasted very good and was amazing! I would totally come back again but would order a none spicy ramen. It tastes very good but even for mild I wasn't able to stand the heat! Would totally recommend this place!

AMAZING ramen in the financial district. This was just steps around our hotel and definitely recommend. I got the spicy miso pork ramen and it was phenomenal. it is a small place but we got lucky with a seat. service is great and very quick.

Cute spot. Small but the wait wasn't long. I like that they have plastic dividers since tables are close together. I had the nori fries -wish there was more nori on it but it was good. The donburi rice was good -pretty solid and the ramen was also yummy. For a small place, they have quite number of items on the menu. Would recommend if you're in the neighborhood and get a bubble tea next door at Coco!

We dropped in without a reservation on a Sunday evening and were quickly seated. We got lucky because it was the last table available, and there were some other people that came in behind us who had to wait. The restaurant is pretty small on the inside. I ordered the Tonkatsu Shoyu ramem, and we got the pan-fried gyoza as an appetizer. The gyoza came out quickly and was nicely fried and really tasty. The ramem followed shortly after, and it was full of thinly sliced scalions and mushrooms. The broth was rich and had really good flavor. The noodles were thin and well cooked, and overall, the soup had a good balance of ingredients. I really enjoyed this bowl. Everyone else at the table really enjoyed their food as well. I would definitely recommend this place if you're in the area and are craving ramen.

Was pretty busy with meetings so wasn't able to have lunch until like 2:30pm. But that ended up to be perfect timing since I got a seat immediately in this rather tiny shop. Delicious spicy ramen, but eat it very carefully because you could easily splash red droplets on your white office shirt! Kuu Chili Ramen: I'm normally a tonkotsu guy, but this bowl was so highly recommended here I had to try it instead. Though I love spicy, I usually try not to order spicy ramen because the heat usually overpowers the subtle broth flavor. They somehow managed to find just the right balance where I could taste the complex heat and still get a good tang from the chilis. Also, loved how meat-centric this was. Huge slab of tender pork belly, which I could peck away at and eat in little bits with my soup and noodles. And the ground meat was very pleasant, almost tasted like that perfume-y lemongrass ground meat you get at Thai restaurants. The noodles were just ok though, not as fresh tasting as places like Ichiran or Ippudo.

The sun is setting, My wife looks at me. I look at her, We embrace.  Warm, spicy and full of soul just like my wife. That's what I felt when I ate the Spicy Tonkotsu Miso Ramen. Spicy and a perfect temperature for the NYC cold and enough soul to teleport me to Japan. The service is impeccable, thank you very much Chadapa. Will say, I could've done without the Kakuni bun. Twas cold and mostly pork fat than pork, but the flavor was still there. If I ever find myself around here again, I'd submit myself to Kuu Apologies, I went so hard in the paint, I forgot to capture the moment.

I googled ramen that was near us and seen the amazing reviews and had to stop bye. The ramen had great flavors for it to have been a vegan broth. The only thing that I needed more of was the spice bomb. This place is very small in the inside but that's expected for it to be in NYC and a ramen bar. The service was ok for it to be one person serving us. She did great. I would definitely go back!

Small little place, so you might have a wait. But it is worth it. Ramen was fantastic! We also ordered an appetizer which was delicious. Reasonably priced. Not accessible if you're disabled, as all tables are high. I had a hard time even with a cane. But food was great, and staff was friendly.

The ramen here is insane. I love the texture of their thinner noodles. The broth is perfectly seasoned and not too salty. Perfect spice level. Just a great bowl of ramen. Skip the hand roll. Pretty pedestrian. Get the ramen. Two bowls if needed. It's that good.

one of my new favorite ramen spots in lower manhattan! can't believe i've been sleeping on this incredible hidden gem ramen spot in fidi all this time. kuu ramen offers some very delicious eats with dishes from their star child, the kuu chili ramen, to some newer foods, like the cheesy kimchi gyoza and japanese curry line. there's an impressive amount of seating inside (they really make use of their space well!) the servers are SO quick to help you, and the food came out in no time! such a great dining experience for a casual ramen spot! shoutout to krit for giving us his recommendations. what we ordered (* = my faves): - yuzu jelly sake shot* - takoyaki* - kuu spicy fried chicken - homemade cheesy kimchi gyoza - hand rolls: california, spicy tuna*, salmon avocado, shrimp tempura - tonkatsu shoyu ramen* - sukiyaki beef curry* i couldn't stop myself from drinking the ramen broth, every sip was packed with flavor!! their kuu chili ramen is what made its way onto Eaters best NYC ramen restaurants list, but we got their special tonkatsu shoyu ramen bc i can't do spicy LMAO (don't come at me pls) - the broth is apparently simmered for 11 hours for PEAK FLAVOR, and you can def taste it!! not super salty either which is much appreciated. i really was slurping at the broth until my friend had to tell me to stop bc the noodles were looking really sad with no broth LOL apparently they just launched a new japanese curry rice line in april, and i loooved the flavor of the curry, which takes them 10 hours to make! i'd say the curry itself is a little bit on the salty side, but the rice counterbalanced it well. the takoyaki is definitely a highlight for me too. if i were to come again, i'd def be ordering the takoyaki again while trying other appetizers.

I had the miso beef soup and it was a complete bowl of crap, horrible flavors , uncooked ramen and the beef had a rancid taste to it, definitely not worth the price , it's literally one of those cup of noodles with a bunch of random things you'd find in the fridge (day before payday soups) the service was good though super friendly staff, as for the seating it felt rather cramped up and your pretty much sharing a table with random people with a clear wall of plexiglass in between you guys, bottom line this place isn't for me.

My friend and I came for lunch on a Tuesday and were seated pretty quickly. The shop itself is small and cozy. After looking at reviews, I decided to order the kuu chili chili ramen. I enjoyed the warm bowl on a cold day! I did not think I could finish, but I did so it definitely satisfied what I was looking for!! The egg was well cooked, I enjoyed the ground chicken and chili flavor, and I personally liked the thin noodle texture. The broth was not super thick or heavy, which I appreciated. The pork was unfortunately too overcooked and dry, which was sad because it is normally one of my favorite parts of the ramen! Overall, not the best ramen I've had and there are certainly better in the city, but it hits the spot and is convenient in FiDi!

Friday 3.30pm Quite excited to try this place. The restaurant had people dining in but at least 5 seats empty. Waited for soemone to ask me to sit. I sit right at the high table by the window. Waited not sure, 8-10min? So I got up and asked if I could get the menu. The guy said yes, and came after 5min with menu only. Meanwhile, he was packing chopsticks? (putting chopsticks inside the paper wraps i think), or not sure what, but not attending tables. I turn several times to get his attention. But at thus point i set myself a time to leave, like... if he doesn't come after 3min I leave. And then, after 3 min, I left

Cute little neighborhood spot for a quick bite. They currently have a 2 for $52 deal that comes with 3 appetizers, 2 ramen bowls and one cream puff. The desserts were all so good (have 6 choices on the menu to choose from), and we got gyoza, takoyaki balls, and chicken wings. However, the ramen we had last time was way too salty. I've had ramen from Kuu before and it was not this salty so perhaps it was a one-off thing. Otherwise, really enjoyed the dinner! Service is efficient and courteous. When you enter the store, you go left for dine-in and go right for take out.

The place was not very big but the service was great. Very attentive waitress and friendly. For takowasa, the ratio between the wasabi sauce and octopus was right on point. For the fried chicken, it was crispy on the outside while the inside was juicy and tender. As for the tonkatsu shoyu ramen, the tamago was a little over cooked. The pork was so soft and the taste was great. The soup base was flavourful while not too salty. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience.

I use to come here for lunch when my coworkers wanted ramen. Was finally able to come back here after many years of the pandemic. Some major changes include actual waiters as this used to be a seat yourself after you order place and hooks on the side and under the tables to put your bags and coats. We came here in a group of 3 at 1:30pm on a Saturday and it only took us 5 min to get seated. I got my usual Karaage with shio ramen and they taste as good as it used to be. I love the salt and dipping sauce they have for the Karaage. The main thing I love about this place is the chili. If you like spice, I recommend ordering the ramen you like (I've tried their chili ramen but still love their shio more) and asking for the chili paste (not really paste, more like crunchy chili bits). I got to come back here and my friend got to try their vegan/vegetarian ramen which she enjoyed.

Tucked away on a side street in the financial district a block from the WTC is this Ramen Shop. It's a small space that serves up some decent ramen, Japanese apps and they recently added hand rolls. Kuu is one of my favs for lunch downtown when I'm craving a bowl of Ramen and don't want to leave the area.

Delicious ramen! I usually am not a big fan of ramen but it was really good. I had the kuu ramen and the tonkotsu spicy. The kuu ramen was very flavorful and a good kick of spice. the food came out fast and the service was good! definitely would come back for some

Went for quick dinner little before closing. Place was clean and neat. Ordered Japanese fried chicken, takoyaki, tonkotsu shoyu, unagi don. Or ring was pretty easy and first dish was out within 5 min..in general quality was good on all items. Tonkotsu was my fav., as was cold and wet out, so the soup hit the spot. Soup broth itself was super-nice. Could have just drank that for dinner, lol. Not salty and full of flavor. Takoyaki was super-solidly done. Not outstanding but much better than average. Consistency was just right and love the wavy squid pieces on top. Fried chicken was nicely done, cooked thru, not overly done, little crunchy, mild but natural flavor. Unagi Was again super-solid. Eel well done, not chewy, flavor was eel like but not fishy. Rice done just right. Overall good experience. Would come back again if in area.

Super great ramen! I do not normally go to ramen, and this was a delicious first time! there was quite a line to get in, but staff moved us through quickly and we were served fast. The ramen is definitely spicy if you like that, and the hand roll was great.

3.5 Alright ramen, the noodle was overcooked. But quite enjoyed the small dishes like the raw tako, cabbage, etc. Eel don was fine, not bad but for $19 the quality was not there. Fried Squid leg was either good or not bad but nothing special.
