"So you love Korean Chinese food - i.e., the food that Chinese immigrants brought to Korea, like jjajangmyeon? Well, I’m going to burst your bubble now and tell you that Kyodong Noodle’s jjajangmyeon is not the holy grail you seek. What is to love is the jjamppong, a spicy seafood stew with noodles, and the ulppong, its mild, brothy cousin. Skip the sweet-and-sour tangsuyuk, which is sweeter than it should be, in favor of the kkanpoong chicken, which is more balanced. It’s also fun wandering the Hmart that this food court is in, picking up random ramen bundles and Korean mu radish for kimchi, but take your time and savor your noodles first before they bloat." - dakota kim

"Located inside the H-Mart, Kyodong Noodle specializes in Chinese-Korean jajangmyeon (noodles in a black bean sauce). Also on the limited menu is sweetly sauced fried chicken, seafood noodle soups, and sweet and sour pork." - Cathy Chaplin

Stopped by for some takeout as i was craving haha GM Yun or black bean noodles. Also needed some fruit, so i opted for Kyodong which is located in the HMart supermarket. Food and service was pretty good and was nice to be able to shop while your waiting for your food. One thing the Korean shops perfected is packing food to go and it was no different here. Neatly packed and in great shape when I got home. The noodles were tasty too, but I’m used to getting some ground meat mixed in the sauce and there wasn’t any in their version. Could have been five stars, but their version isn’t cheap, so I expect to get a little meat at least. Glad I ordered a combo which included the sweet and sour pork, because I am not a vegetarian :). The combo is a great option when your eating alone cause buying the two items separately would set you back way over $30+. Was definitely enough food me with even some left over for about $27 after tip. The sweet and sour pork was also pretty good. You do get one side dish, yellow radish which pairs well with the dishes, just wish they had kimchi as well. All in all a great dinner which hit the spot, but will keep trying other spots for jajangmyun for the next time.

I was so surprised once I saw it got 4.9 on Google Maps, then I realized that only 8 reviews. I will give it a fail score for this restaurant. It is located inside H Mart, Arcadia, CA. I love H Mart and always had something to eat after or before the shopping. I had a spicy seafood noodle soup and fried sweet and sour pork stick set. I have to say they are good-looking, they can get 4-star if the score is only by looking. But the taste was awful, it's tasteless. The pork was only sweet without sour, even touch. And the pork stick is full of stalk but with a very tiny pork slice inside and also tasteless. The noodle soup was not spicy even not salted. The seafood portion was a very small and bad smell. My daily eating is very light salted, even though I still feel the foods were tasteless. Can you imagine how bad the flavor is?

Google
I missed that this place was located inside of the HMarket 🙄. I’m still looking for a replacement to New Garden (Hacienda Heights) Jajamien noodles. This was a good start. A small storefront with a few other eateries sharing large tables. Noodles were thick and chewy and the sauce was meaty. I needed a little soy sauce and pepper to punch up the sauce but I love the shredded cucumbers on top. Good start on my journey for good jajiang noodles. The HMart is Asian market paradise with every food, snack , produce you can imagine.

Google
Good: great value (if take into account of California pricing), noodle was great. Like the menu item#1 and #2. Opportunities for improvement: went there three times. At least two times, there were no other customers ahead of me, but the chef won't cook my food immediately, instead he took his time to prep/cook other things.

Google
We came two days in a row the first day I had the jjampong combo, and believe me when I say this, it was better than any jjampong you can get in Vegas (home town). So good we came back but I wanted to try the jjajangmyeon and I was not disappointed! I’ll be back next time I’m in town.

Google
tried here three times and the salinity of the Jjambbong soup was slightly different. but their sweet and sour pork is really good. I'm satisfied with their portion and food overall. definitely I'll be back.

Google
Ordered the jajangmyeon combo (with tangsuyuk) (around $22) and had it delivered. It was still pretty warm when it arrived but the tangsuyuk turned a bit hard. But when I dipped it in the sauce, it still tasted pretty good and the pork was tender. The portion was on the small side though, maybe because it is a combo? As for the jajangmyeon, the portion was decent for the price. It was a okay meal overall. But I will probably try this place again in person next time so the food is more fresh.

James Ly

Google
The jajangmyeon was pretty good. It had the smokey flavor from the wok, wasn't too salty, and noodles were chewy. Very generous portion of noodles and black bean sauce.

Yelp
$11.99 for a big bowl of black bean noodle to eat this at the food court inside the h mart, no need to tip, great deal!

Yelp
This establishment is located within the H-Mart Grocery store. It's part of a very busy food court and sometimes you won't find seating until someone finishes eating and leaves. This sometimes also means you have to clean the table before you sit. I heard good things about their jjajangmyun (noodles with black bean sauce) and tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork) and came by to try them. Afterwards, grocery shopping... How convenient is that?! We ordered jjajangmyun combo with tangsuyuk, another jjajangmyun, and fried dumplings. We found seats, cleaned our table, then sat and anxiously waited for our food. They finally called our number, and our food was ready. Yeah! We started with the fried dumplings which was hot and crispy. The seasoning was just right and didn't really need you sauce... But, my secret sauce... one part soy sauce, one part vinegar, and one part red chili powder. Mix them well with your chopsticks (forks with well too). After a couple pieces, without them with the sauce, we moved in to the tangsuyuk. The tangsuyuk looked like maybe there wasn't enough sauce... We decided to try the food the way they were served (respect for the chef). The sweet and sour pork was nice and crispy on the outside and very tender inside. There was just enough sauce to give that sweet and sour taste. After a couple pieces, we dunked the tangsuyuk into my special sauce (soy sauce, vinegar and red chili powder) which we enjoy the tangsuyuk so much more. Couple more pieces with the special sauce, we're now going in for the black bean noodles (jjajangmyun). I'm order to enjoy the noodles, one has to thoroughly mix the sauce and noodles so the sauce is evenly coated. We added a lot of red chili powder to only one of the noodles. Now the taste test.... Yes. The recommendation was accurate. The jjajangmyun is quite good. I kinda wish there are more onions grilled in the sauce, but it was good nonetheless. The spicy version was good too, but I wish I had some Sriracha sauce instead of the red chili powder. It's so much better with the Sriracha. I think we ate too much. Lol Because I wanted to try all the food I wanted, we went crazy on our order. Next time, I'll have to be more in control of myself. Hahaha! Thank you, Kyodong Noodle! Did was great!

Yelp
This was another place that my in-laws highly recommended and we came here for dinner one day during our visit over Thanksgiving. I was a bit surprised that they would enjoy food court restaurant in an H Mart, but I was even more surprised when I saw the size of their jjamppong bowls (spoiler - it's HUGE)! I personally am a jjajangmyun fan, though. While they did have the combo menu (which would have been perfect if we were a small party), we ended up getting a full size order of tangsuyuk to share. I was more than slightly disappointed to find that jjajangmyun does NOT come in a bowl equally large as jjamppong (WHY?!)...but the noodles were delicious, and the tangsuyuk was even MORE delicious than I had anticipated. For an H Mart food court restaurant, this place definitely delivers!

Yelp
Decided to grab some lunch today since my partner and I have always wondered about the food stalls in H Mart, the smells always tease my stomach whenever I walk by LOL We came here and ordered their Veggie Jjajangmyeon and another order from Kazu Mori (see my other review from there if you wanted to learn more about their vegetarian options!) While we waited for our order we decided to do some light shopping as we needed a few items for our dinner tonight, that took about 15 mins but when I came back to check on my order it still needed another 10 mins (this place was very popular compared to the other stalls!) It looks like the Veggie Jjajangmyeon was their only vegetarian option, but I still wanted to try! Once we received our order we came home and I had a bite (well, maybe 5 BIG bites) from my partner's dish. The flavors were delicious! I enjoyed the saucy veggies and the noodles had a nice chew to it! I can see from the windows that it looks like they make their noodles in house! If I was not a vegetarian, I would've tried their seafood noodle soup, it looked like such a huge portion! But the Veggie Jjajangmyeon was just as tasty! And the girls at counter helped me understand which dish was veggie friendly - because I was interested in their Japchae but it had pork and made with fish sauce - price was not too bad, but I did wish there was a little bit more noodles seeing as how huge their other portions were. But nonetheless, I would recommend this place and dish to any vegetarians in the area that would like to try tasty Korean food!

Lisa C.

Yelp
It finally happened--they've raised their prices, and the portions have gotten smaller. However, they're still the only place around that serves jajangmyeon, and it's still delicious with their house-made noodles. Just a heads-up! New menu pics included

Yelp
Dined in on 11/11/24 for lunch around 11:30 am. It was busy inside, but we were able to find a table to seat 4 of us. We ordered the Jjamppong and jjajangmyeon. Jjamppong was a huge spicy bowl filled with seafood, vegetables and noodles. It was definitely good comforting food for a cold day. The seafood was a little skimpy for the price. The soup had great flavor. Definitely a highlight. The Jjajangmyeon was good, but a little too salty in my opinion. The flavor was a little lackluster. I wouldn't order it again. Value: Fair value, but wished there was more meat Eating in Hmart was nice to see the different foods that they offered. When you return the trays, the area was cluttered and filled with trash. Hopefully they can clean it up since it was busy.

Joann V.

Yelp
3.6 stars If you're craving something spicy, soupy, & noodley, this is a decent choice to hit those cravings. The noodles are nice and thick. The spicy broth is rich & savory. The spice & salt level is tolerable to me. The service is ok & it's located within HMart's food court. I'd definitely come back for their noodles. With that said, Kyodong only specializes in seafood jamppong/ullpong & jajangmyun. As far as variety is concerned, it's pretty limited to add-ons such as fried rice, dumplings, or tangsuyuk (k-style sweet & sour pork).

Katherine N.

Yelp
I came here to get the jjambong, it's a spicy seafood noodle soup. I got the combo, which also comes with sweet and sour pork. It was perfect for the weather, rainy and cold. This soup did not disappoint, they added enough clams, mussels, sgeump ans octopus pieces and lot of cut up veggies. It's a huge bowl and I knew I would not be able to finish it so I asked for a container ahead of time, before I started eating. I think it's a great portion to share with someone. And they gave me the pickled yellow radish. This place was pretty busy today. I noticed a lot of people eating in and having take out orders. The people working here are friendly and accommodating to your needs; whether you need a water cup, container or a bag to put it all in. Thank you KyoDong Noodle staff. I enjoyed my spicy seafood noodle soup!!

Emily L.

Yelp
Get the spicy noodle soup!! It's a massive bowl with the bounciest noodles, lots of seafood, and a tasty spicy but not too spicy broth. This stall is inside the hmart so have a meal before you grocery shop!

Priscilla C.

Yelp
Tried jjampoong for the first time here and I fell in love. It is a delicious bowl of spicy seafood noodle soup with such good flavors. It is a wonderful experience because the bowl is HUGE for such a good price (almost bigger than the tray) and with so many pieces of seafood!! You can definitely split it as a complete meal with someone else. If I eat it on my own, it's good to last another 2 meals. They are pretty good with making it less spicy (since I'm weak and have a relative low spice tolerance). The most recent time I went, the spiciness was perfect. The first time it was still too spicy after I asked for less spicy so I asked for another empty bowl but they were so kind to offer me a 2nd bowl of the clear soup! Slightly embarrassed haha but there was no one else really in the food court on a weekend day evening around 7:30pm. Customer service is great and very helpful. Highly recommend the jjampoong, especially for seafood lovers. Located in the food court area of H mart.

Kevin The Iceman L.

Yelp
The experience and ambiance of this place is amazing. Truly appreciate the manager and the line cooks, I came in at the height of the lunch rush and they were able to get my order out super quick. The service and quality of the food was unparalleled! Would come back again!

Ron R.

Yelp
We have come to this place several times now. It is in the Hmart food court. The court can get pretty crowded and noisy during peak hours and especially on weekends and holidays. You place your order at the counter of the restaurant in the food court and then they call your number over the PA system. There are tables for families and other tables for large groups or to share. There is ample covered and uncovered parking in a private lot. When done eating you bus your own table and take the plate back to the restaurant. We have gotten the 옛날짜장면 (Classic Jjajangmyun) several times now. At first we were pretty impressed with it, but after several tries we think it is just ok. Actually, it tastes better if you take it home and leave it in the fridge overnight and then reheat it. Don't know how that changes the flavor and texture, but it tastes very good that way. On our last visit we tried the House 볶음밥 (House Fried Rice) $13.99 Fried Rice with Pork, Chicken, Shrimp, and Assorted Vegetables. Add Black Bean Sauce (Jjajangmyun sauce). They actually gave us the Jjajangmyun sauce on the side of the rice without us asking for it. We thought this sauce would be really weird with the fried rice but it was actually really good. The fact that it was on the side was really helpful as you could control the amount on the rice.

Yelp
This place is in H-mart and is sooo fresh and amazing !!! Eating inna grocery store feels homey and like comfort food. I love the jjampong and tangsuyuk combo! The portion size is huuuuge! The tangsuyuk can be a bit dry but its definitely crunchy! The jjampong is flavorful! The person taking your order is friendly!

Cyl C.

Yelp
Date of visit: February 13, 2024 Selections: Jjamppong Experience: My brother, his girlfriend, and I decided to share a Jjamppong together since they served large portions. We had to wait a bit for our food to be ready since there had been a backlog of people that had ordered before us. There were so many hidden goodies inside the soup since it was packed with seafood, veggies, and noodles. It wasn't spicy, but had a good flavor, even though I was only able to manage drinking the broth and eating bits and pieces of seafood and veggies since I was feeling sick. I ended up taking the leftover soup, which ended up being two little to go containers for my husband to try later.

Vic C.

Yelp
Kyodong Noodle is located inside H Mart, towards the back of the store, if you are entering the main entrance. It is close by the restrooms. I came by here to meet my friend for lunch this past Wednesday. We ordered a little before 11:45 am. I ended up having: #3 Jjajangmyun, $11.99 prior to tax- This is a black bean noodle dish with a very nice thick and savory black bean sauce. The portion size is plenty to serve two people (although I ate it all myself, lol. I had a very light breakfast and I really didn't have much of a dinner that night) and a fair price. I thought the noodles were cooked perfectly. I just wished there were more sliced cucumber for added freshness. I actually make my own jjajangmyun at home (and yes from scratch. Surprisingly it isn't that hard to make) and thought this was pretty good and would recommend for others to order this dish. Please note that traditionally jjajangmyun is made with pork, so this dish is not vegetarian and vegan friendly, in case there are some that are on one of those diets and are not familiar with Korean Chinese dishes. ------------------------------ (Total= $13.22 after) My friend ordered #1 Jjamppong (spicy seafood soup noodle, $14.99 prior to tax) and really liked it but since I don't really eat spicy foods, I didn't try any. The portion is pretty big and so she had leftovers to take home (she asked for 2 plastic containers from the restaurant to pack up her food. She packed the seafood and filling separately from the soup actually and was planning on making noodle at home to have this dish for another meal since she ate most of the noodle). After you pay (my friend was so kind to treat me), you are given a number. Your number will be called, along with the name of the restaurant (the announcement system they use in this small food court is used by all 4 of the eateries here). After you finish eating, you are supposed to return the tray to the restaurant you purchased your order from (as there is a sign on all the tables directing patrons to do so). Food is excellent here and portion sizes are quite generous. The price is fair, especially in this day and age. Would come back here again in the future.

Cecilia H.

Yelp
I got an order through delivery and ordered a jiajiamen and tangsuyuk combo. I really enjoyed the jiajiamen (black bean noodle). It had a lot of flavor and had a good amount of veggies and meat. I added my own cucumbers for added crunch. I however was not a fan of the tangsuyuk. I just thought it was super dry and I didn't like the flavor. This was my first time trying tangsuyuk so maybe I'm just not a fan. Everyone said it was huge portions so it's definitely shareable or at least 2 meals. The noodles were so good that I honestly wanted to eat it all. Update : - the spicy jangjangmyeon is very spicy! My stomach still hurts from it! Maybe stick to regular if you can't eat anything more than hot Cheetos haha. Also the Mandu was just ok....

Ashley S.

Yelp
a yummy spot to grab food from after shopping at hmart. there is a lot of seating and it's not too crowded, so you can dine in the food court or get takeout, and the employees wrap the togo packaging so well. the combos are the perfect meal to eat. i get the jjampong with tangsuyuk, and it i s the perfect recovery meal.

Mei F.

Yelp
Current go-to spot for jajangmyeon (black bean noodles). Noodles are chewy, sauce is flavorful, and the combo, of course, is heavenly. Restaurant is one of many in a food court inside of H-Mart. Free water: ask for water cups and fill at the water fountain. Like a typical food court, you find your own table and seat yourself. There is a good amount of seating and the turnover is pretty quick, so I haven't had to wait for too long. In general, once people are done eating, they clean up and leave soon after.

Helen C.

Yelp
Located in H-mart, Kyodong Noodle is a great place to grab take-out or dine-in. I usually get the jajangmyeon and tangsuyuk combo, but the ulppong and jjamppong are pretty good too. Prices are reasonable given the portion sizes. It does take a little while for the food to be ready during lunch or dinner hours, but it's never been more than a 15-20 minute wait during the times I've been there. Would definitely recommend!

Grazielle M.

Yelp
This is located inside Hmart. We got the Spicy Jjajangmyeon and the Pork Fried Rice; both were flavorful and big servings, even suitable for two people to share. The pork fried rice oddly contains more chicken than pork. There are plenty of tables and chairs that you can utilize if you are in favor of having the food dine-in. The service was exceptional and fast.

Ann M.

Yelp
This dish did not disappoint! I love me a good stir fry ja Jiang mian and this was so good. It had a perfect combination of sauce, seafood and noodles. It's a order at the counter and they call your number to get your dish. There are a lot of tables and chairs to eat inside the H Mart where this restaurant is. What a great find. Will definitely go seek this restaurant out again next time I'm craving these noodles.

Daniel J.

Yelp
This location is better than the Los Angeles location, but behind the Torrance location. Flavor is strong and good, but slightly too salty. Shame because I wanted this location to be better than Torrance, so that I can eat jjamppong more often. Food turnaround is the slowest of all Kyodong locations I've been to. The way orders come out in a haphazard manner (someone three orders behind mine got their food first) and how management just lets food crowd up the tiny counter suggest to me that they don't give enough of a damn. Although (or perhaps because of) there are more seating than expected, the food hall feels crowded. It's not Kyodong's fault, but the tables are sticky as hell.

Katherine K.

Yelp
Ordered spicy seafood noodles, white seafood noodles and jiajang noodles. All came in w good portions. Spicy seafood noodles have good flavor (ordered less spicy) and chewy noodles. It came w a lot of veggies and decent amount of clams and squids. White seafood noodles are basically non/spicy version of spicy seafood noodles. Jiajang noodles are a bit heavy in my opinion cos of the sauce, but noodles are chewy and with good texture. Will definitely come back to try other dishes.

Arden P.

Yelp
My mom and I have been going to Kyodong Noodle for a while now-I think it's the best restaurant in the H-mart food court. Then portions are pretty big, enough to feed 2+ people haha! The fried shrimp is on the more expensive side as it's shrimp, but honestly it's worth it. The sauce is sweet and sour. The jjamppong is a rich seafood soup with muscles, clams, a shrimp (with its head and shell intact), octopus, carrot, zucchini, Napa cabbage, and noodles.

Rose C.

Yelp
Located inside the supermarket HMart in Arcadia. If you are in a hurry and hungry this good place to grab and go. Their food is pretty good with lots of choices. They give generous amount of food and price is reasonable. Jjam-ppong: I like theirs how they cook their noodles, not saggy. They asked you how spicy you wan and that's how it's prepared. It would really be good it they add more seafood on it. noticed it had very little on it. Tangsuyuk: I ordered pork. The breading is not thick. You can really taste the meat. Their sweet and sour sauce is perfectly made, the sourness and sweetness is perfectly made. I always asked for the sauce to be on the side. Jjangmyum: it's delicious. I like the creaminess of their black bean sauce and their noodles are perfectly cook. Customer service is not bad and service is quick. The place is a food court setting, very casual.

Ammie T.

Yelp
The food was okay overall. The noodles were chewy, but the soup lacked flavor. I ordered the seafood noodle soup, and while the portion was huge, it didn't really hit the spot. On the bright side, the dumplings were good and full of flavor.

Jessica T.

Yelp
I often come here for a quick bite if I'm craving Korean noodles. I'm a fan of their non-spicy seafood noodle soup - it's so flavorful! Though it might be a bit salty, it's just so good on a cold day. This is located in the Hmart, inside a small food court-like area. It is self-serve, so you order, get your number, and get your food when your number is called. It is a pretty clean food court. The workers at Kyodong are friendly and will help recommend you dishes.

Es C.

Yelp
NEVER GET THE JJAM BBONG or Spicy Seafood Noodle Soup GOT FOOD POISONING. From their shellfish. It was horrible. I had the absolute worst time. Disgusting!!!!! Their tangsuyuk is good. Jja jjang myun is good when they don't make the sauce too sweet. Do not get their jjam bbong it's the friggin worst

Kathy B.

Yelp
My favorite place to get jjajangmyeon!! I got separate orders of the jjajangmyeon and tangsuyuk and the tangsuyuk plate was huge!! I'll stick to the combo next time but it can definitely feed two hungry people and great amount for the price.

Gloria L.

Yelp
Located in the Hmart food court, this place serves comforting Korean noodles. I decided to try their Jjajangmyun, which are Korean black bean noodles. My order came out in about 15 minutes and there was plenty of seating available in the food court. The black bean sauce is thick and includes diced up pork and veggies. The flavor was savory with a hint of sweetness. The noodles were soft and not as bouncy as I hoped, but the taste was decent. Overall the black bean noodles were solid and was good to try but I probably wouldn't come back for it.

Lisa C.

Yelp
Located in the food court area of Hmart this place definitely hits the spot if you're looking for korean chinese food. Everything taste as expected and portions are beyond generous. Two of us shared 2 noodles and 1 sweet and sour pork - left overs Galore. So worth it. So coming back.

Jessica W.

Yelp
My favorite place in SGV for black bean noodles. We don't see alot of these noodles I'm SGV besides ktown and it is really good. I usually get the black bean noodle with the fried pork with sweet and sour sauce. The portion is pretty big and can feed 2 people. I've also tried the spicy seafood noodle soup and the soup is good. The noodle is a bit saugy, but I don't really eat this as much. It is a good amount of seafood in this dish. This is located inside Hmart in the food court. There are seating inside Hmart to eat. And I suggest to eat it right away than taking it to go.

Leo C.

Yelp
Another great gem at H-Mart food court. Food stall specializes in Korean noodle soup, few rice and dumpling dishes. It's located next to Kazu Mori. They're seafood noodle soup are humongous. I saw someone having one of these huge bowls yesterday for lunch and I had to come back today to try them. I ordered the jjamppong spicy seafood ($12.99) and it was packed with robust flavors. It consist of fresh noodles, various vegetables, seafoods (clams, mussels, shrimp and squid) and served in a red hot soup base. Fiery red hot soup looks intimidating, but I have to say, the soup was very addictive, refreshing and comforting! Spiciness of the broth was very tolerable. The noodles had a very good chew to them, more round and thick. Decent amount of seafood. Delicious overall, worthy return visit.

Radius G.

Yelp
The pretty chinese girl, I think her name was melody, but she was super kind and helpful to me and even recommended me some dishes and K really gotten to enjoy them. She was super kind and helpful and this is my first review ever on yelp so 5 stars!

Christina C.

Yelp
I am craving Jjangmyeon like I ate at The Source OC second floor food court. So, I give this place a try. I ordered the Jjangmyeon, pork fried rice & tangsuyuk. The Jjangmyeon noodle is chewy but I am pretty disappointed with the sauce. Maybe my mind keep having a flash back how delicious the one I ate at the Source OC. Lol I think this place the black bean sauce is lack of pork meat. Feel like just black bean sauce with many slices of onion & cucumber. The pork fried rice was okay. But, the Tangsuyuk was really yummy I will come back for this next time when I go to HMart again.

Liliana C.

Yelp
Kyodong Noodle is located inside the Hmart foodcourt! They have super affordable Korean dishes that are extremely scrumptious and satisfying! I got their Jjajangmyun combo with tangsuyuk for just $15.99! Such a great deal and big portion as well. The worker was very nice to take our phone order even though they were about to close. Our food was ready in less than 15 minutes and ready for us to pickup once we got there! I love how their containers are perfect to separate the sauce from the noodles. They even gave us the sweet and sour sauce in a separate small container as well, so the tansuyuk was still slightly crispy! Everything was veeeery yummy and fresh. Would definitely recommend this place!!

Yelp
I originally was going to get curry but I saw a picture of the seafood noodle and changed my mine. Ordered this dish with medium spicy. The lady said that spicy wasn't too bad. My husband ordered his curry bowl at another spot nearby. His food came out before mine, so I ate some of his. When my food came out - it was in a to go container. I had originally asked for to go but changed it when I found out my husband got it for here. So they had to switch it, which took a few minutes. But the soup was delicious and spicy with spaghetti noodles and lots of seafood - octopus, clams, shrimp, veggies. Had a nice kick and I really enjoyed it. A little spicier than the lady said, but still very good!

Yelp
Kyodong is inside H mart within their food court area. Among all the places, I noticed more people ordering from here, especially their Jajamyun. Ordering was easy and service was good. I order picked up and was excited to try out their Ullpong. I felt the noodles was delicious and the soup had a nice light taste, but did not like the seafood. Unfortunately, the shrimp was not fresh and all the clams had bits of sand in it. Unfortunately, I do not plan to give it a try again in the future. My guess is this is more of a place for jajamyun.

Yelp
Best eaten fresh dining in vs. taking home but we did order it to-go. The packaging was actually very good for ordering to-go with the ingredients separated and secured. The jjajangmyun and tangsuyuk combo was very filling! 2 people can easily share that 1 order.

Yelp
This spot is located on the right side of Hmart, near the rest of the other food vendors. I ordered the spicy seafood noodle soup and my friend ordered the curry katsu rice. While the soup was perfectly seasoned, the noodles were slightly over cooked. But it was the perfect comfort food on chilly day, the portion is large enough and filling. My jjampong cravings were definitely satisfied.

Yelp
Good jjamppong! Soup is well seasoned, not as watery or bland as other restaurants. They add a good amount of seafood., but it's still not enough. Wish they added much more meat. Still, the overall taste makes up for it. Noodles are good. They give large portions. Though it may not be the best compared to others, definitely hits the spot when you crave jjampong. I'd come back on another lunch break.

Yelp
Craving jjampong? Bring two stomachs. This bowl is ridiculously large that it is an actual effort to finish the entire thing. But it is so perfect for a cold day with hot soup that has a spicy seafood soup base and noodles that are cooked perfectly with a little chew on it. Seafood itself is pretty OK, but it adds a nice sweetness to it against the spicy chili flavor. And again, huge portion and if you get it with the tangsuyuk then you'll have a sweet and savory chicken crunch to contrast. It's a lot of food. Definitely worth the money.

Yelp
I find there seafood jjajangmyeon to be too salty, I've had it for a second time and it's as salty as I remember it unfortunately :/

Yelp
Decided to try out this place after shopping in hmart since we were craving Jajangmyeon. For $11.99, I would say the portion is pretty worth it! The flavor of the black bean sauce is definitely on the mild side, more savory than sweet which I didn't mind. My favorite part were the noodles, they were perfectly cooked, bouncy, and chewy. I'm assuming they made the noodles in house since they were all slightly different sizes. Given it's one of the only restaurants that serves the dish in this area, I could see myself stopping by again on my next hmart run!

Yelp
Stopped by for some takeout as i was craving haha GM Yun or black bean noodles. Also needed some fruit, so i opted for Kyodong which is located in the HMart supermarket. Food and service was pretty good and was nice to be able to shop while your waiting for your food. One thing the Korean shops perfected is packing food to go and it was no different here. Neatly packed and in great shape when I got home. The noodles were tasty too, but I'm used to getting some ground meat mixed in the sauce and there wasn't any in their version. Could have been five stars, but their version isn't cheap, so I expect to get a little meat at least.

Yelp
Went to H-Mart to do some grocery stopping and became a little hungry so we decided to try this place out. Its located inside the H-mart and once you walk in keep left and keep walking. There's multiple little restaurants where you can try different things. We decided to go for the spicy jjajangmyun and tangsuyuk combo. The spicy jjajangmyun had the perfect amount of heat and flavor. The noodles were cooked perfectly and were coated perfectly with the jjajangmyun when mixed. The jjajangmyun had a good amount of pork and vegetables in it as well. I think the star of the show though was the tangsuyuk. The tangsuyuk was so crispy and was perfectly paired with the sweet and sour sauce. Both dishes were large so definitely perfect for sharing! It comes with a little side of radish which we asked for more because it paired well with the jjajangmyun. Overall if your in the area or just finished getting some groceries this place is a great to try. They also have a non spicy version jjajangmyun!

Yelp
This has been my go-to place for jjajiangmyeon for years. I only order the jjajiangmyeon and haven't tried anything else, but I can at least vouch for it. It's a pretty simple jjajiangmyeon (black bean sauce, onions, pork, and potatoes? stewed together. Whenever I order it, it comes out in 5 minutes (sauce is kept in a metal container (in their kitchen) to keep it warm and noodles are cooked and cooled). I've tried other places but I don't like that they add cabbage but this place doesn't

Yelp
I was craving jjajangmyun (black bean noodles) on Sunday and Kyodong Noodle was one of the closer locations. I arrived less than an hour before their 8 pm closing time to place my order and the wait for my food did not take long at all. Appreciate that they ask customers if they want utensils if they're ordering to go. The sauce (which also includes pieces of meat and onions) is housed in a separate container on top of the container with the noodles. I had difficulty with opening similar containers at other noodle places, so I was very surprised at how easy it was to remove the sauce part of the container without making a mess with the noodles. After mixing the noodles and sauce, I dug in. Yum. The jjajangmyun was delicious! The order also comes with a side of sliced pickled yellow radishes, which is your typical perfect accompaniment to this dish. There was plenty in this dish that I couldn't finish it all. I was happy with the portion and the price ($9.99)! While waiting for my food, I noticed they also offer a combo with jjajangmyun and tansuyuk for $15.99, so that'll be next on my list to try. After watching Record of Youth (kdrama on Netflix), I also want to try their jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle soup) as well!
