KYURAMEN - Flushing

When we walked in we were greeted and asked how many and they told us the estimated wait time. Since it was a busy evening during dinner hours we had to wait 30 minutes. Ramen came really quickly fresh and the noodles were nice and chewy. Soup had just the right about of richness and spice. Just heads up if you order an Eel Kamameshi it will take way longer than the ramen. But I think it is worth the wait. Rice is nice and sweet and has a like crisp on the edges. Eel is always good. There’s a decent amount of eggs provided with the rice as well. Would definitely recommend this spot for a date, gathering and special occasions.

Came here on a Sunday afternoon and there was no wait. Overall I love the experience in Kyuramen. Food was amazing and of course their thai iced tea is so good. Would recommend coming for a simple lunch date. def coming back.

We just randomly went here to eat some authentic Ramen and Japanese food. The food was extremely good and delicious, I applaud the chef of this store. Truly when it comes for a good food trip NYC is one of the best to go. It’s just the service extremely sucks as well. That’s why I gave 3star rating. For how good the food was, the service was the total opposites. Server seems doesn’t seem like what his doing, don’t care about his customers and not courteous nor polite. When you ask a questions it seems like his too bothered to even answer. I really don’t want to even leave a tip, I just did because of the great food. I wish I can choose where my tip will go, for kitchen staff. Overall still recommended because the food was really delicious. Just do not expect anything with their customer service it was so outrageous.

We absolutely love Kyuramen in Flushing! This is our second visit, and it has become our go-to spot for Japanese food in Queens. We appreciate that they always welcome us and our service dog, letting us sit in their cozy private area. The food is consistently fresh and delicious, and Combo B is a fantastic choice! It comes with two ramen bowls, two desserts, two drinks, and popcorn chicken – perfect for sharing. Highly recommend this branch for its friendly service and great atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back again! 🍜

Terrible service, one of the worst my family and I have experienced. From the very beginning, the young lady who led us to our table looked like she didn’t want to be there. We were not asked what we would like to drink. When we finally got our drinks, it was served after the food. Nobody came to check on us. We had to use the call button to ask them to serve our dessert that came with the meal. The young server did not clear our dishes before serving dessert even though I asked him too. The food was good and the atmosphere was pleasant, but we will not return due to such ridiculous service. There was not a single smile given from any of the severs there.

I loved this place!! I visited with my best friend and we had a great time. We went around noon on a Sunday and they gave us a booth! It was clean and the food was super delicious and the price was reasonable for the portion. I had to get extra noodles since they were that good. Make sure to visit if you are ever in flushing! It is right next door to Tangram!

Kyuramen is an absolute gem! The ramen is rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked—every bite is a delight. The wait time was surprisingly short, even during peak hours, and the private booths made the experience even more enjoyable. Great food, quick service, and a cozy atmosphere—highly recommend!

We we’re in a little booth and it was really cozy and intimate. We tasted the ramen soup #1-2 and 3. They we’re all so good. We’ll definitely come back when in Nyc. We had Ben as our server and he was so nice and we received our plate in less than 5 minutes. I highly recommend this place!

Menu is misleading, the full menu with egg has increased in price with no note anywhere until you order and ask about the price. Also the lunch special menu says free preset appetizer and drink but when the server put it in, it was increased by $2+. When asked, they said it is just a discounted prices d is more expensive than just ordering a ramen even though it clearly states you only pay for the ramen and get those free. Edit: Food is pretty good, service needs work. Maybe more training? I have been here and other branches before but the server today needs work. Served rice without asking if we want to take a picture as it is normal for this rice. Served each entree without asking if we need anything else. It is definitely much worse service than it use to be. At least the food is still good.

Came back here and decided to try the Katsuobushi Pork Ramen. They were generous with the pork. Broth was flavorful. Service was friendly.

If you're looking for a good ramen spot in the neighborhood, Kyuramen is a great choice. This chain restaurant offers a cozy and inviting atmosphere, with two floors of seating. The first floor has bar seating and private covered booths, while the second floor features an open layout. Their largest table can accommodate up to 8 guests. On my first visit during the grand opening, I sat at the bar. I enjoyed the ambiance and the view, and I tried the omurice omelette. While I liked it overall, I found it a bit dry, even with the sauce. During my second visit, my friends and I tried the black garlic Tokyo Tonkatsu ramen. This was a hit! The ramen was incredibly flavorful, and I left feeling full and satisfied. For my third visit, I went for the yin yang bowl, which is half tonkatsu and half spicy ramen. It was a great way to enjoy the best of both worlds. On my fourth visit, I tried the honeycomb platter, which comes with five different appetizers. My favorites were the shrimp tempura and eel tamago. I also had the curry ramen with tonkatsu. The broth was rich and delicious, but unfortunately, the tonkatsu was too hard and difficult to eat, so I couldn't finish it. As for drinks, the lemonade and Thai iced tea are both excellent. Kyuramen is definitely worth a visit, especially if you're craving flavorful ramen!

Came in right when they opened and nobody was to be found. Got the food and it was just ok. The spicy tonkotsu ramen was way too oily and greasy. The miso was just ok. The bun fell apart quite easily. I had to sit around and wait 5 minutes for the worker to figure out how to work the card machine, just for me to have to go up to the front to pay. Won't be going again

I recently visited Kyuramen in Flushing, Queens, and had a wonderful dining experience. The food was excellent, with the ramen, oyster balls, and desserts standing out as particularly delicious. A unique and fun aspect of our visit was the wooden board they provided. We turned it into a creative dinner game, playing mystery scribbles and adding an extra layer of enjoyment to our meal. Overall, Kyuramen offers great food and a delightful dining atmosphere. It's a place I'd definitely recommend for anyone looking to enjoy a tasty and fun meal in Flushing.

Restaurant Location: Located in downtown Flushing, this restaurant is conveniently located near many public transportation , municipal park lots, and private parking lots. You can take the subway to Flushing Main Street or take a MTA bus here. Parking: There is metered street parking but it can be a challenging to find a spot due to the traffic especially on weekends. There is a small municipal lot which has the closest walking distance (3 blocks away). There are large private parking lots such as the one in Tangram Mall, Skyview Mall and new world mall which has an affordable hourly rate. Space: It has two levels, 7 table on the upper level with one restroom that was clean. Bar seating and booths downstairs (there probably is a handicap restroom downstairs). Greeting & Seating: Came here on a Friday Night around 5:30pm - no wait. Was greeted immediately. Received Friendly Service from Hostess and Waitress. Great customer service: the waitress, IRIS, was knowledgeable about the menu and patient. Food: There is a large selection of food to choose from on the menu. We decided to order two ramens, Sapporo Spicy Ramen and Tokyo Tonkotsu Shouyu Ramen as Ramen is their speciality. You can choose your own spicy level. The ramen came about 10 mins after the order was placed. The broth was flavorful and the noodles were cooked at the perfect level of chewyness. The two pork slices were roasted that gave it a nice char flavor. The match pudding was lightly sweetened but a bit thick for my preference. It was served with a side of milk. So when mixed it made the pudding to a softer consistency. Pricing was fair as well. Pls photos for pricing. Overall both ramen was delicious and I would recommend eating at this Japanese Restaurant. I would definitely come back. I plan on trying the other locations as well.

After seeing it blow up on Instagram, I just had to see what all the fuss was about at Kyuramen. Known for its famous omurice, inspired by Japanese chef Motokichi Yukimura of Kichi Kichi Omurice fame, I went in with high hopes and an empty stomach. The ambiance at Kyuramen is amazing, with separate eating spaces that provide an intimate environment and a sense of privacy. It's like having your own little dining nook. The server puts on quite a show when you order the omurice, cutting into it to reveal a creamy, gooey interior that sort of explodes open. However, the omurice itself was underwhelming. It was kind of bland, and I expected stronger flavors given the glaze. The omelette was also overcooked, evident by the curled edges of the egg after the server's performance. High expectations definitely led to disappointment here. On the brighter side, their Thai milk tea was spectacular and is what got me hooked on Thai milk tea--absolutely amazing! Their pork buns, however, were pricey and tasted just okay--definitely something you can skip. Overall, while the omurice didn't quite live up to the hype, the ambiance and Thai milk tea at Kyuramen make it worth a visit. Just maybe lower your expectations for the omurice and enjoy the show.

Stopped by to check them out since they recently reopened. It looks like they've expanded their interior to offer second floor seating now which is nice (outdoor seating is gone). I saw that they had a BOGO promotion on Instagram, but at the end of my meal I found out it was just a free ramen coupon for your next visit which is a bit misleading. The service was top-notch with the waiters constantly asking if we needed any help, clearing the table right away and asking if we needed refills of our water. I got the Katsuobushi Pork Ramen which seemed to be a new menu item and my brother got the Tokyo Tonkotsu Shouyu. I enjoyed the pork belly in mine more than the chasu in the Tokyo Tonkotsu. It was braised well but not super tender so there was still a bit of a chew to it. Even though my Ramen said, had a red pepper next to it on the menu, it wasn't too spicy at all in fact, it was mild spicy. We also got the popcorn chicken and this was nicely fried. The chicken was juicy but crispy on the outside and the seasoning was on point. A good rendition of Taiwanese popcorn chicken. Overall this is still a good place to get some decent ramen in Flushing without having to trek out to the city.

First time back since they reopened and it was okay. Not great but not bad either. I felt the rice could have more flavor and the ramen was lacking as well. The popcorn chicken wasn't bad but can't really mess that up. I will probably come back to try other things. The service was great and the place looked just as it was before it was burned down. There's an upstairs seating. Glad this restaurant came back! Can always go for ramen any day of the week.

Came in for an early lunch with my partner. I got the curry ramen with diced chashu combo with Thai iced tea as the drink and a pork bao. She ordered the Omurice with tonkatsu, curry sauce and the same drink. The Thai iced tea was milky sweet, with a faint taste of tea. Enjoyable and soothing. The curry ramen was savory and tasty. All the ingredients mix well with each bite. I thought that portion would be small but the bowl will indeed fill you up and they serve a plentiful amount of diced chashu. If that doesn't fill you up, the formidable pork bao that took me 5 bites to finish will. The Omurice was terrific through and through. Though the rice could be a tad more seasoned, the curry sauce puts in overtime to cover all taste concerns, blending nicely with the egg as well. The tonkatsu addition made it almost a challenge to finish so the price is definitely justifiable. Service was great and the layout of the restaurant is eye catching at the very least.

Sat at the bar where I was able to watch my food being prepared. Very interesting to watch! I ordered the combo meal that came with pork ramen, a pork bao bun, Thai ice tea, and a dessert. The service was incredibly fast and the food tasted perfect. I initially wasn't going to get the tea but I'm so glad I did! I strongly recommend this restaurant! PS. I can't show many photos because I didn't think about writing a review, and I ate my food too fast!

This kyuramen was probably the worst one that we went to in the city. Staff is very impatient and not trained enough. They didn't give us any water until we asked for and the water that they gave was very fishy. Random things swimming in the glass. Very unprofessional

Came on a Friday night and it was semi-busy but was thankful to be seated right away! Good food and friendly service, just like the other location!

Waitress was very polite and she had good recommendations. We ordered Tonkatsu Ramen with white garlic, Original Chicken Ramen, Pork Tonkatus Omurice combo. They were all delicious.

Came back for their after renovations opening promotion. Came during weekday dinner and it was not crowded. We were seated upstairs as I don't think the booths were opened yet. We ordered the mega ramen and popcorn chicken. The shrimp tempura was good. But make sure to take it out the broth or it will become soggy. The soup base is still a little bland but it wasn't bad. The popcorn chicken was crispy and flavorful.

Haven't gone to kyuramen in awhile and they finally reopened the Flushing branch! Had the #4 and it was pretty good. The Thai ice tea was definitely a must get though it was a bit sweet. The service was amazing and the waitress did a really good job explaining what to order and offer us assistance in making decision. We came at 2 and there wasn't that many people and definitely a good place to come for a quick food. Overall, the service was great and definitely recommend coming for their Thai ice tea and excellent service!

Ordered pick-up for a couple of ramens and they were packaged very well. When we reheated the soup a bit, the broth was flavorful. Noodles were a little too hard for me but since I did takeout, easy to cook it a bit more. I got the Korean Kimchi Ramen and I loved the fusion and the slight sourness/tartness from the kimchi. If you're in the area, I would come back!

The food is ok , but the services not even one stars , especially the glasses dude that working , and all the staff is cursing in Chinese , what the hell , customer com in store to hear you complaint about your job ? I understand everyone have their hard time, you can complaint but not on the live floor where there is lots of Chinese around and know what are you talking about !? Serves really need to be improve , so far not even one glasses of water been serve. At least ask ?! Services is really sucks

The to-go setup for their ramen is on point. We made an order and it was ready in about 10 minutes. The noodles sit above the broth so they don't get soggy but stay warm. Had a good mix between mine and my partners. Cost was a touch high but we really liked what we got. My partner got a spicy one. I got a Hardy one. We both were happy and definitely would recommend.

If I could leave a zero I would. I'm not sure if this is a normal occurrence but when my boyfriend and I (not that it should be relevant but he is black and I am Asian) came in we were told that there were no available tables. Despite there being several open spots at the bar, which we had then had to ask if we could sit there. However, within 10 minutes of us being seated a couple came in and were escorted to a table, and then another couple came in and were seated. Despite no customers leaving. I said something to a different server then who had seated us and he shared that there was in fact a table open in their upstairs section. He said something to the server who sat us and they proceeded to talk about it in Japanese next to us and then never acknowledged it. Extremely disappointed and would not recommend the food regardless of this situation.

Stopped by after reopening. The waitress was polite and gave good recommendations. They accommodated to everything. The ramen here tastes great, would come again!!

Went in expecting some good ramen, this place did not deliver. We tried their lunch special, fried dumplings were good and so were the drinks (lemonade and tea), but the ramen itself was not very good. My rating would be two stars if it wasn't for the service. They have a young man as host and server, so it seems like he is all over the place. Additionally, he always seemed to be in a hurry with AirPods in, this did not make me feel welcomed. I told him we did not like the ramen (went basically untouched), and he didn't care he just brought us the bill. It was completely unprofessional to not comp the meal, or at least most of it due to the lack of quality in the ramen. The place is cute, but save yourself some time and try some other great food in the area.

So glad that they reopened definitely one of the better ramen places in the area. The food is really great especially the burgers and the decor is really cool!

6/19/24 came to this restaurant to eat lunch.. i have #4 no spicy .. once we ordered it ... food came maybe 5 mins later.. ice water on a glass cup.. my ramen was good .. but only give u 2 meats? i wish they give 3 meats instead of 2? the egg was good .. the broth was good .. $17.99 with tax & tips around $22 my family had #1 on the menu.. we ate on the 2nd floor.. only 1 staff who served us food .. they speak to me in manderin? which i don't know the lang ..

If you're looking for ramen with a delicious broth in flushing, this is the spot to try. The noodles have a good bite to it. The topping are cooked to my liking. The omurice here is also good. Comes to you hot so you have to wait about 10-20min depending on how pack the place gets. Remember to check in if you want a free thai ice tea/ green tea dessert. Both good and save you about 3-5$. 1 per person. Came here around 6pm and had to wait about 10-20min to be seated for 2. This place gets full around 7pm. Will come back for more.

I came across the restaurant on Instagram and since I'm always game to find the best Ramen plus wanting to try omurice, this was my visit while I was in Flushing. Upon walking in, we were greeted and was immediately brought to our table. I recommend making a reservation. Overwhelmed by the choices, decided to just stick to Ramen and went for the Ramen two ways, Tonkotsu-Shio + Black Garlic Tonkotsu. Both were delicious but final verdict, going forward order a whole bowl of tonkkotsu-shio. The broth was rich, the noodle was al dente as it should be, & pork belly melt in your mouth... Not to mention the silky soft boiled soy sauce egg. Perfect meal for a wintry weather like today. Though very full, I had to try the crepe cake which is another one of my fav. Love ube so shared over with my bro. Not too sweet though the cream was a little heavier than I like. Not sure if I order again. Overall the service was friendly. The place is traditional modern, very clean. I'm definitely going back to order appetizers & the omurice next time!

The first time I visited Kyuramen back in Fall 2019 when it had just opened up was an awesome experience. My friend and I were promptly seated indoors in individual booths with small curtains, which was a new experience within restaurants in the crowded Flushing. The service was great and the food was delicious. We ordered bowls of ramen, bao, Thai iced teas, Amazing Lemonades, and matcha puddings for dessert. When we met up on a Friday evening last year, the place wasn't crowded at all - but now, Kyuramen has expanded to multiple locations throughout NYC! I've eaten at their Union Square location, their Upper West Side location, and more. Each location is decorated similarly with the wood accents, but with its own flare. The staff are all very nice, even though they're so busy. Fave things to get here? Def the amazing lemonades (I know, not the Thai tea - shocker!) and their matcha puddings. I recommend adding some spice to the ramen bowls. Love the matcha crepe cake and mango crepe cakes here as well (the mango slice contains real pieces of mango)! Have been back and will be back more times, especially because of the environment and individual booth seating arrangements.

Kyuramen is probably one of my go-to ramen places in Queens. They have other locations in NYC, but I have only dine in this location a few times. I have tried three types of their ramen: #1. Tokyo Tonkotsu Shouyu, #2. Kyushu Tonkotsu Shio, and #4. Sapporo Miso Ramen (regular) and honestly I couldn't really taste the difference in their broths. If you noticed on their menu, all the toppings for their ramen are the same and it's just different broths. I also have tried their Classic Omurice (with Demi Glace) before COVID lockdown began and it was very delicious from what I remember. I have tried two of their desserts: Japanese Cherry Blossom Jelly and the Matcha Pudding w. Red Bean. I enjoyed the matcha pudding and there can be some matcha bitterness taste. The Japanese cherry blossom jelly was a nice refreshing treat and there's some lychee jelly pieces in the dessert too. But, the jelly dessert overall was a bit sweet for me. Overall, Kyuramen is a good ramen spot for Flushing and I haven't had a bad experience dining here. I hope the other Kyuramen locations are just as good as this one.

Great atmosphere and ambiance! Love that they have so many options including a split ramen bowl so you can try two flavors at once. The wait was not too long and we were seated comfortably in cute private booths. Will be visiting again!!!!

There are multiple locations of Kyuramen in the city, but I believe the Flushing restaurant is the first one, so I wanted to check it out first. As of September 2022, they have both indoor and outdoor seating. My boyfriend and I walked in for dinner and sat in one of the outdoor booths. We tried: + Thai iced tea - free with Yelp check in + Steam pork bao buns + Fried squid tentacles + Tokyo tonkotsu shouyu ramen with black garlic and wavy noodle I'd say this spot was hit or miss. Everything came out of order, which was annoying (ramen first, then apps, then the drink), though the ramen and buns were tasty. The tea was way too sweet - wouldn't get that again, though it's nice as a freebie. They also didn't have the ube cake, which I had been looking forward to. The squid was actually my favorite thing that we ate - would definitely recommend that. I'm still willing to try their other locations, but likely wouldn't make the trek to Flushing again. 3.5 stars.

Food was fast! We were a party of 8 and within 15 mins of ordering everything came out to a very hungry family. Ambiance upstairs was perfect and neat and clean.

A few friends and I came here one night and had a really good dinner the place is small and cozy. When we walked in there was a wish wall which immediately caught my attention I got the chance to read some and the gentleman I front allowed me to add my own wish. I was then escorted upstairs to our table, it was a nice sized table we couldn't wait to get started. To begin we ordered some soju the only had apple and strawberry so we got a few bottles of both. The menu was straight to the point what I do wish is that they had a seafood ramen already put together they had pork and shrimp, veggie so I kind of had to put it together I was worried I wouldn't be able to get what I wanted. For appetizer we got 2 orders of shrimp tempura it was crispy and light the sauce it came with was also good. Everyone enjoyed their ramen I ended up getting the veggie and adding shrimp to it. It was a nice experience. Def going to try another location closer to me.
