My friends and I went to LV for dinner on a Saturday night. It was semi busy so it took a few minutes to find parking, luckily a few spots in front opened up eventually. There doesn't appear to be a parking lot but there are spaces on the street (which has parking lot like spaces).
Inside, the restaurant has an old school sort of feel, like the Chinese restaurants I would go to as a kid in the 1980s. We got seated toward the back at a large round table w a lazy Susan. The table itself was rather wobbly and pushed so close to the wall that one side of the table had chairs no one could access or sit in because the table next to us was too close and to get into those seats or around them would have required the other table's diners to stand up--and they willfully ignored us. Having other customers be unwilling to move isn't the restaurants' fault but putting the tables too close is. At any rate, our group was able to sit around 3/4 of the table and fit but once people were sitting, most could not get up unless 3 or 4 others also got up to allow the person through. It was worse than being in the window seat of a plane as at least those usually only go 3 people deep, not 6.
As we sat, we were still waiting on 2 more people to show up but the staff, though cheerful and friendly, came back like every 30 seconds asking us if we were ready to order. Eventually our straggler friends arrived and we ordered.
The food came out very fast and even though we ordered about 8 dishes, they all came out within 10 minutes of the first dish hitting the table (probably less).
We ordered the salt pepper fish, braised string beans, sausage fried rice, beef bok choy, walnut shrimp, eggplant and a few others (I can't recall). We were a pretty hungry group so we went through the food before I could snap any pics. Overall, the group really liked the eggplant, the fish and the shrimp. I thought everything tasted decent but I wasn't necessary blown away by anything, but for the price, I was satisfied with the flavor and quality.
When we finished, it took a while for the check to come and we had a hard time flagging down staff to get the check. The staff was always doing something, and they were always friendly, but they could probably use some tweaking to their service habits to ensure customers get the service they need when they need it and to make sure customers aren't crammed into a tight corner.
PS - this was my first time but my other friends who live around the corner mentioned to me that they usually do pick up to go quite frequently, so food is good but dine-in service could use a little help.
