Came here for lunch and was pleasantly surprised by how full the dining room was — always a good sign. The vibe was classic and nostalgic: red carpets, framed press clippings, a very cash-blessed Buddha at the entrance, and servers who move with the quiet efficiency of a place that’s been doing this right for decades. We ordered the Pad Thai with chicken and the fried pork chops with jalapeños — both excellent. The noodles were perfectly chewy with a subtle smoky wok flavor, not too oily, and generous with chicken and vegetables. The pork chops were addictive — crispy on the outside, tender inside, with just the right kick from the jalapeños. Service was kind and fast. Portions were generous. Prices reasonable. There’s something reassuring about a restaurant that isn’t trying to be trendy — just consistently good. Would absolutely come back. Next time, I’m bringing more people so we can order half the menu.

I love LV Seafood. Food is fresh and always good. I'm never disappointed.

Food was really good and comforting. Restaurant is very clean, doesn’t smell like typical Chinese restaurant. We went on a Tuesday night for dinner, so there was no wait and the food came out quick! Service was great, attentive and friendly. Favorite dishes: house special fried rice & salt and pepper pork chop

For a while I've been searching for really good Chinese dine in restaurants. This place is definitely a hidden gem i did t know about. Food is amazing!!! The service was on point. My wife and I went on a date and felt very welcomed. Very attentive service. Definitely recommend!!!

Google
2nd time coming here. First time was awesome- everything was great. This time around, complete opposite. The food is not consistent, we ordered the same thing as last time except different rice dish. The pork chops- super salty, orange beef super sweet, and the green beans had way too much thick sauce- making the dish overwhelming. Wished it was the same as the first time around.

Google
Man.... After 6 years, I've made my way back to LV Seafood for the salt & pepper porkchops and beef fried rice. Still as delicious as I remember. Got to go. Inside still as I remember. Waited 30 minutes. Place was busy with dine-in, take-out and pick up. Many wanted LV. I ask for porkchops extra crispy and the beef spicy

Google
One of the best Americanized Chinese food restaurants. This is not a Mandarin or Cantonese place , per se. Serves all your favorites, generously proportioned. Varied and extensive menu. Usually very busy. Decor is nothing special. Lots of take-out orders delivered on time, usually 15 minutes or less. This is excellent food.

I wasn't feeling so great didn't really get to enjoy my food that much. Forgot to take my pictures too. The tea was amazing my friend loved it. I tried something new. Shrimp with black bean sauce & fried rice instead of white rice. & added veggie lo mein. My friend had pineapple fried rice, Mongolian beef, bok chop with garlic. My only complaint was they gave me streamed rice I wanted fried rice and they only added egg (not the peas carrots, & green onions). Other than that. The experience was cool 1st time dinning in.

Yelp
Ok, so we've been to LVs three times now in the last month or so. That's how good it is! This is by far the best Chinese restaurant in town and beyond. (Iykyk) Food: orange chicken (just crack), sweet and sour chicken (goodilicious), green beans (addicting), chicken pad Thai noodles (yumkin), veggie egg rolls (crispy goodness), chicken potstickers (flavor!), chicken fried rice (yeassss!), and Thai tea (mind-meld) with free Jasmine tea (gut health) and waters (on a hot day). Service: very attentive and very polite even on a busy day. When you're done eating, they ask to pack up the leftovers for you. Lastly, you get fortune cookies at the end of the meal but you won't need it cuz you'll be full. Ambiance: it's a family affair. we've only gone in the afternoon and it gets busy. There's plenty of space for big and small parties/groups. I like sitting by the windows that let's in more sunlight at the front. It gets a little darker sitting towards the back but there's plenty of reflective light. I've had my share of Asian cuisine but THIS! this is the go-to spot for yours and mine. Don't trust me? Go eat here for yourself and take a friend and let them take a friend and let them take their best friend, so on and so forth. Make it a fanfare to remember!

Yelp
Overall this is a very good place for Chinese with good food, service, and reasonable prices. We ordered our usual dishes we always order when trying out a new Chinese restaurant so we can compare apples to apples. The shrimp with lobster sauce had good flavor and decent sized shrimp. Not impressive tiger shrimp but at least not tiny little ones either. Overall, solid. The fish with black bean sauce was good -- fish was very tender and the sauce had very good flavor. There were a couple pieces of fish where the texture was a little off like they were not as fresh. But overall good. The Mongolian beef was cooked well and the beef was very good, but I found the sauce a little too salty. The chow fun was good. No complaints. Very solid 4 stars. We'd definitely come back and try some other dishes as well as our favorites.

Yelp
Went here to get some Chinese food. Greeted and seated. Ordered Salted Pepper Pork, fried rice and broccoli beef. Received some courtesy Hot tea while we waited. Received our food. Tasted both the salted pepper pork and fried rice. Omg! You can taste the flavor. Salted pepper pork was made to perfection. If you live in Long Beach or Lakewood. This is the place to go. Plenty of parking and the staff is friendly. The place is Clean and hidden too. I rate this place as one of the best authentic Chinese food in the area. Price is about right and the portion size is perfect.! Coming back when I crave l Chinese food.

Yelp
Classic sitdown American Chinese food that's packed with flavor and big enough portions that you don't break the bank. Orange Chicken is the highlight here. Tastes like real oranges used and with a kick of spice. The meat was tender while the outside was nicely crackling crunchy. The perfect mix.

Yelp
Best Chinese restaurant in North Long Beach and Lakewood! Service was great, food delivered to table quickly, and food itself was delicious! Tonight, I had Orange Beef, but there are plenty of great entrees. If L V Seafood is open to suggestions... would you please add Xiao long bao (小笼包): steamed pork dumplings (soup dumplings) to your menu? I have other menu related requests, but let's just start with this one. Actually, I might as well request the rest right now... Since I'm single, CUPS of hot and sour and egg flower soup for dinner. It's not a meal, it's an appetizer. It enhances the whole meal. Since I only order for myself, I don't need or want a huge bucket of soup. I can easily justify spending $3-5 more for an appetizer for myself, but not $11. Also, a smaller portion of spring rolls would be great too! Szechuan Beef Grubhub for delivery. And that's about it. Everything else looks great. On future visits I'll be trying their Scallops and Asparagus, Sizzling Beef, and Seafood and Tofu hot pot. Looking forward to it!

Yelp
I will start by noting this was a to go order so we ate it 15 min after pick up. Even with the extra commute this was fabulous! If I could do 4.5, I would. Let's run down the details. Friday night order. Called it in around 5:30 and picked up in 15min. Parking isn't great but they have a 15min pick up spot so it was perfect. Vibe was a cool old school Chinese restaurant set up perfectly for family style dining. Salt and pepper pork chops was the fav for both of us! Great cook and high quality meat. Not too fatty and perfectly seasoned. Crunch for days! Orange chicken was the 2nd favorite. I liked it because it was still crispy while being saucey which isn't easy. I feel sometimes they are too breaded at other places, not here! Lots of texture and a great orange sauce that was balanced by not being too sweet and still bringing a light spice. Beef chow mein didn't skimp on beef and noodles were perfectly cooked with great flavor. Is it the best you ever had, probably not but it will fill a craving if you have it. Not greasy, which is nice. Last is the honey walnut shrimp. This had great flavor but I felt had too much breading and it didn't maintain the crunchy like the orange chicken. I would order it again if we ate there since not sure if the extra commute before eating contributed to the loss of crunch but likely won't get for take out again. So many other items I would like to try on this extensive menu that I don't think it will be missed. All in all I think it lived up to the love it gets in the LB food group. And if we could do 4.5 stars I would have. They don't do delivery which delayed me trying but discovering the special pick up parking was a big win and will motivate us to try again and again!

Yelp
My sister and I have been ordering from LV Seafood for years, but our orders have always been to-go, especially during the pandemic. After years of going to Royal Capital Seafood for our celebratory dinners, I decided to try LV for my mom's birthday dinner. Decision was based on our preference of family style dining and the closure of Royal Capital in Westminster.

Yelp
I've been coming here for years!!!! One of my favorite restaurants in Long Beach growing up! The food is delicious, the owners are kind, best place to eat with your family! The pan fried noodles, the salt and pepper squid, and the honey walnut shrimp are my favorites!! Thank you LV Seafood for continuing to be the best!!!

Yelp
Food is always delicious! I can't complain so close to home. I don't have to drive to another county for some good Chinese food. I usually order for pick up for the last 8years and have dined in 3 times. Not the most memorable experiences some will keep it at "pick up" Food never disappoints! I've tried most of the menu too

Yelp
Old school, which is fine by me! Seeing the dated interior, listening to instrumental music, LV Seafood has a vibe of a Chinese restaurant stuck in a time warp decades ago. Unlike modern Chinese/Asian Fusion restaurants, with booming hip hop/rap music & trendy food names, I dig the vibe of yesteryear at LV Seafood. Lunch Special menu https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=g7j-gm-GH28o-7ZWYfgftg&userid=xsT4KZTu_KnOVavtuXn4RA My litmus test for Chinese food, Mongolian beef was on the Lunch Special menu, therefore Mongolian beef was lunch for the day Mongolian beef lunch special- https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=-4XTqfjvICwd5SnV6Kkw9A&userid=xsT4KZTu_KnOVavtuXn4RA Tender chunks of juicy beef, I highly enjoyed LV Seafood's Mongolian beef. Ample amounts of scallion, the plate was delicious and satisfying. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=gYbJxJ2XGk_jYeP-lPUrfA&userid=xsT4KZTu_KnOVavtuXn4RA Service was good. The spacious dining room was mostly empty. Parking is via shared parking spaces & private lots at the Norse Way Village in Long Beach. LV Seafood is a classic Chinese restaurant, which I hope never goes away. The food is good, moderately priced, without pretentious or modern trendiness. Timeless, if you will. I look forward to visiting again, soon.

Yelp
I have been meaning to try this place for ages, and I finally had the opportunity during my lunch break. All the staff talked to each other in Cantonese, which was a good sign that the food is authentic as well. My roasted duck soup noodle was good, as the duck was traditionally prepared and flavorful. However, the consistency of the noodles tasted like instant ramen. I don't know whether it's undercooked or that's the intended effect, but I was not thrilled. The steamed bok choy was delicious and balanced the richness of the duck well. I also enjoyed the hot pot of tea that's served for all the customers without me even asking for it. The tea was fragrant and tasted good, especially on a cold day. Service was decent. I was seated right away and the server took my order shortly after. I did have to wave down the staff to pay my bill, but that didn't take long either. Parking was tricky along this weird diagonal street, as it was hard to monitor cross traffic backing out.

Yelp
You know, my family has been ordering takeout from LV for years and have enjoyed their offerings. Lately, however, things have changed. Their quality and flavor just haven't been there and their prices have gone up. 2x shrimp fried rice, 1x broccoli beef, 1x pork steam dumplings, 1x chicken lo mein = $85. Ouch. Our entire meal was very lack luster and just didn't have the flavor profile that has kept us coming back for so many years. I think it's time to take a break and look for other similar places in our neighborhood.

Yelp
My go to place for Chinese when I'm back in the area. Amazing authentic food and great service in a family run place. Have been coming here for over a decade and the owners are the sweetest can be. It's nice that they have more staff in than just their family and have been going strong. Perfect little causal place to come with family or friends so you can order more and take a little of everything. It really feels comfortable coming back here and everyone here works so hard. I always get takeout, but you are greeted right away and they still ask if we want a table each time. Always have to get the pan fried noodles, dry chow fun, Chinese broccoli, and whatever protein in salt and pepper. When I used the eat meat they had the best deals and freshest seafood possible. The chow fun is always overflowing the takeout container and filled with crispy vegetables. The pan fried noodles literally haunt my dreams. They keep the noddles so crispy and that sauce they put on top is perfect. Their crab Rangoon are triangles so I think the ratios are better. The salt and pepper tofu is perfectly crispy and traveled so well. Make sure to add plenty of garlic and jalapeños to each bite if you can. Love that they expanded their menu to include more vegan options so dietary restrictions rejoice! They also don't charge for their condiments so have at it with the hot mustard and chilli oil. This place is truly an institution and I cannot say enough good things about my first stop as soon as I land at the airport.

Yelp
So glad I found this place. I'm on my carnivore diet and the gentleman helped me find the right dish for lunch. So accommodating and fresh. I was able to sit right in and the ambiance was good. Great place to bookmark. See you again LV!

Yelp
After shopping, we decided to eat dinner here at L.V. Seafood Restaurant in Long Beach. A friend told us about this place and it will hit the spot if you are craving old school, genuine Chinese cuisine. We arrived a little past 8 pm, and there were maybe 3 other parties dining inside. The place is big so they could accommodate a big party if need be. The staff is very nice, and when we realized we were the only ones left, they told us not to rush. We ordered the House Special Fried Rice, Beef & Broccoli, and the Salt & Pepper Pork Chops. Every dish was freshly made and perfect! Nothing was too salty or underseasoned. The portions are good, and the prices reflect that. Sam, the owner, brought us take out containers to pack up our leftovers. He chatted briefly with us, telling us how he and his family have been in business since 1996! Wow!! That's awesome, and I'm so glad they were able to stay afloat during and after the covid pandemic! L.V. Seafood will be on my radar when I'm in the Long Beach area craving some good Chinese food! Support this local small business, and fill your bellies without breaking the bank! ;)

Yelp
We recently moved to Long Beach and we were craving for some authentic Chinese food and guess what, we found it! We really enjoyed it and we will be going back to try different dishes. Out of ordinary we ordered szechuan eggplant and it was BOOM! We will be definitely coming back to try different dishes. Service was great and seems like family run restaurant and they were super friendly.

Yelp
Even though prices keeps going up everywhere else, this place is consistent with their pricing. Still the best value around the area for a great quality foods. Their lunch specials are great. Portion is good. Free hot tea and fortune cookies. Also, free steamed rice. Can't beat that! Service is always top notch. Very attentive staff members. Parking can be challenging but the food makes up for it.

Yelp
I keep forgetting to write a review for this spot. I've come here multiple times for Chinese food in the Lakewood location. It's a mom and pop shop, and they have decent pricing for good comfort food. Service always good and quick. This place always have a good number of customers every time I've come. Parking is easy and just a very chill place for Chinese food. The decor is outdated but the place is always clean. It gives a nostalgic kind of vibe. My go to dish is the house special noodle, because I love how the dish has crispy noodle soaked in sauce. They also serve walnut shrimp with mayo, fresh steamed fish, and duck. Presentation looks good. Honestly, I would just get their regular dishes instead of the specialty dishes. They're ok for the location, but I think I rather drive to SGV if I want those dishes. Their tofu dish and regular fish dishes are good. I keep coming here because it's close, and when I want family style dinner. The staff are always very friendly and you always feel welcomed. Parking is also super easy.

Yelp
This place was busy on Christmas Day, but there aren't many options on this day. Luckily, they have a lot of seating outside. It took us about 30-40 minutes to get seated. Once we were seated, we ordered a few plates, such as Honey Walnut Shrimp, Orange Chicken, Fried Pork Dumplings, and noodles. When everything came out, it was all delicious. The one thing we didn't get to enjoy was their orange chicken because it came out when we were ready to leave. We had to take it to go. The ironic part was that four different employees asked us if we were good, and all four times, we told them we were missing the Orange Chicken. Given the pace and volume of orders they were probably receiving, I was very sympathetic to the kitchen. I would most definitely come back gain.
google avatar

Claribel V.

Yelp
I got 2 orders of orange chicken and 2 orders of salt and pepper fried squid for a small Christmas potluck with friends. The serving was pretty big and we had leftovers. I really like the orange chicken because it was very crispy and thinly sliced. The squid was also really good, crispy and didn't taste oily. It is delicious dipped in red vinegar. The entrees came with steamed white rice. Everything was reasonably priced especially for the portion size. I am definitely going to order more often at this restaurant and would like to try their lunch specials.

Yelp
This is what you want in an authentic Californian Chinese Restaurant! Huge portions, share or plan for a to-go box. I guess I'll leave it at that. I'll add, If you like PF Changs this is not your place.

Yelp
IVAN and STAR were amazing! The food was the best in ever had! So good you will not be disappointed

Yelp
Tried the wonton soup amazing broth so delicious, steamed pork dumplings came out nice and hot. Then the house fried rice with extra duck. All great choices and then finished off with the salt and pepper crab which came with jalapeños and green onions and a lightly fried batter that was so tasty. The servings are large for sharing family style and the service was excellent and quick! Love that it's a cozy spot for Chinese with a great seafood selection. Family owned and operated for over 25 years!

Kim N.

Yelp
This is a family owned business and they provide excellent customer service! Best of all the food is so delicious and they offer a fantastic selection. The portions are huge so expect to have left overs! It's a fun and cheerful environment!

Rick M.

Yelp
The food is very good. Service is OK. We had takeout. The ambience look like a Chinese restaurant.

Yelp
I'm so excited to have been introduced to this restaurant! Food was fresh and tasty with ample portions and friendly service. I can't wait to share it with others. My sister and her hubby have been coming here and while we did go during lunch time, the fried rice and chow mein were off of their dinner menu and my jaw dropped at such a plentiful serving each was. The green beans were perfect with a nice crunch to it and the chicken was beautiful white meat sliced and tender. Sauce was yummy on it as well as the beef and Chinese broccoli where we added mushrooms to. Nice rich sauces without the too thick cornstarch texture. The fried rice was so lovely with the nice sized shrimp pieces along with chicken and more. The chow mein with the pan fried noodles was wonderful. Unlike other restaurants the variety of proteins offered included nice size pieces of fresh tasting fish I am so looking forward to going back and trying some of the other items.

Yelp
My friends and I went to LV for dinner on a Saturday night. It was semi busy so it took a few minutes to find parking, luckily a few spots in front opened up eventually. There doesn't appear to be a parking lot but there are spaces on the street (which has parking lot like spaces). Inside, the restaurant has an old school sort of feel, like the Chinese restaurants I would go to as a kid in the 1980s. We got seated toward the back at a large round table w a lazy Susan. The table itself was rather wobbly and pushed so close to the wall that one side of the table had chairs no one could access or sit in because the table next to us was too close and to get into those seats or around them would have required the other table's diners to stand up--and they willfully ignored us. Having other customers be unwilling to move isn't the restaurants' fault but putting the tables too close is. At any rate, our group was able to sit around 3/4 of the table and fit but once people were sitting, most could not get up unless 3 or 4 others also got up to allow the person through. It was worse than being in the window seat of a plane as at least those usually only go 3 people deep, not 6. As we sat, we were still waiting on 2 more people to show up but the staff, though cheerful and friendly, came back like every 30 seconds asking us if we were ready to order. Eventually our straggler friends arrived and we ordered. The food came out very fast and even though we ordered about 8 dishes, they all came out within 10 minutes of the first dish hitting the table (probably less). We ordered the salt pepper fish, braised string beans, sausage fried rice, beef bok choy, walnut shrimp, eggplant and a few others (I can't recall). We were a pretty hungry group so we went through the food before I could snap any pics. Overall, the group really liked the eggplant, the fish and the shrimp. I thought everything tasted decent but I wasn't necessary blown away by anything, but for the price, I was satisfied with the flavor and quality. When we finished, it took a while for the check to come and we had a hard time flagging down staff to get the check. The staff was always doing something, and they were always friendly, but they could probably use some tweaking to their service habits to ensure customers get the service they need when they need it and to make sure customers aren't crammed into a tight corner. PS - this was my first time but my other friends who live around the corner mentioned to me that they usually do pick up to go quite frequently, so food is good but dine-in service could use a little help.
google avatar

Crystal D.

Yelp
I've eaten here a couple of times and the food has been consistently good - with the exception of the spare ribs. They were pretty dry. My favorite items include the orange chicken and Mongolian beef. The pan fried noodles are tasty but I wish they were more pan fried as opposed to soft like chow mein. The restaurant itself is a good size but can get busy on weekends. I prefer to pick up food but the one time I ate in the service was efficient and friendly. Parking can be tough on weekends and evenings.
google avatar

Kevin D.

Yelp
Ok this is some of the best Chinese food I have had within a reasonable driving distance. My wife brought this home as takeout and I know it would have been even better if we had it at the restaurant. So with that being said I will be going next week! You know it's good when the Fried rice comes in the little old school white boxes! The Hot and Sour Soup Fire!
google avatar

Dietmar F.

Yelp
Lucky this Friday to park close, walk in and get seated right away! The food here is FANTASTIC and Chinese food as you expect it. Fresh veggies, tasty sauce, large tasty chunks of chicken, fish, shrimp and chopped bbq pork. Started with Hot and Sour soup, combo fried rice, then snow pea chutes, shrimp with Lobster sauce and combo lo mein. Plenty to eat and take home. Great value chased by a couple Tsing Tau!!!
google avatar

Kris G.

Yelp
The food here is delicious! From what I recall, we had the orange chicken, salt & pepper pork chops, salt & pepper squid (aka calamari), broccoli w oyster sauce, fried rice, house chow mein, honey walnut shrimp. The shrimps were a good size & everything that was supposed to be crispy was nice & crispy! The storefront looks small on the outside, but inside is decent. Looks like your typical Chinese restaurant with round tables & lazy Susan's. Staff was quick & attentive. The only downside for me is I had a killer migraine that evening & into the next day. This leads me to believe they likely use MSG. If/ when I return, I'll have to watch my intake, but the food was so good, i don't know if I'll be able to stay away!

Yelp
We've been to LV Seafood a good handful of times now. It's not usually my first choice but Hubby loves this place and my tastebuds and appetite are always satisfied after eating here. The vibe has that family-owned, old-school Chinese restaurant charm. I've dined with parties of 2-6. But I've seen larger parties of 10+ dine here and the staff seems to accommodate with ease. I've enjoyed the following over the years: - Fried Tofu https://bit.ly/3ud1kr5 - Singapore Style Rice Noodles (ordered with no egg) https://bit.ly/3uh8gni - Braised String Beans https://bit.ly/49B3UHu - Black Mushrooms with Asparagus https://bit.ly/49xlMmC - Vegetable Chow Fun https://bit.ly/478ynLH Solid spot for Chinese food located next to a crystal shop. Parking can be busy on Norse Way but it's not impossible.

Yelp
The best local food in the area hands down. For Chinese food, this is my go to and has been for a few years. Always fresh and tasty. Service is great, whether you eating in or taking out. Cute and quiet, nice people who are friendly and offer suggestions when asked. Went for take out on New Year's Eve and couldn't believe how packed it was! I didn't realize how many people love this place

Yelp
LV Seafood is a place where Sam and Yina, the owners remember everything about your family. They ask you about your parents, the kids, and more. They are sweetest business owners and despite a fire to their restaurant and a recent car crashing through the front end of their restaurant, they have persevered. Whether it's calling for takeout and Sam is picking up the phone or we are dining in, or celebrating a party, the service is consistent and the portions are huge. The recent remodel has brightened up the place as well. Thank you, Sam and Yina for being part of our community and always being so friendly!

Yelp
Every dish was very well seasoned, hot, and nothing was too salty or sweet. A bowl of rice was also served on the side as well as hot tea. Sweet and sour pork was very soft and the veggies in it were cooked perfectly. The chinese fried rice was very soft and has the perfect amount of add-ins. The eggplant was not very spicy but did have good flavor and perfect texture. Chow fun and the salt and pepper pork shop are probably my favorite from what I got. Service is good, if you need help it's easy to flag down a worker. It was not too loud of noise on the week day we went. What I thought was the best part was the price for how much quality food we got. 4 people all full and left overs to take home was less than $80 (not including any tips). Can't beat the quality to price ratio. I can't wait to come back and try more dishes. They also seemed to have a good amount of pescatarian friendly dishes.

Yelp
This is the most unprofessional business I have ever encountered that STEALS your money (more on that below) I had a big event happening on Saturday up in East Los Angeles -- it started at 11am. We wanted to cater from LV Seafood since their prices and food were decent (and we live in the south bay). I called them over a week before and put in my order and requested to pick up *the night before* for the party since LV Seafood doesn't open until 11AM. We had a full service kitchen for the event so we didn't mind have to reheat / retoast food. The owner of LV Seafood was insistent that we should pick it up morning of so that the food is fresh. She said she would even come in early to cook for us so the food is ready early. I was really surprised and super grateful for the service. I told her she didn't need to, that we were fine picking it up before. I also told her that the food then HAD to be ready by 930 because it takes us 45 to drive to the venue and we had to start party set up in the morning. She said 930-945. I said, no, 9:30. If not it's totally fine I can pick it up the night before. She said okay 930. She gave me the total 259.60 and to bring CASH ONLY (this will come back later). So the day before, in the morning, I called to ensure the food would be ready by 930 for pick up. Her son picks up and was confused, saying they opened at LV Seafood. I told him the owner promised me 930 -- he said "oh well if my mom promised you, you should be good." ?? Okay? DAY OF. I went to the bank the day before and took out exactly $260 and had the bank put it in a money envelope. I sent my friends to pick up the food while I went straight to the venue to start prep. My friends arrive at 9:15, wait until 9:30. The door is open but the grate is closed -- so my friends are able to call into the restaurant. No response. They call again if anyone was inside and that they were picking up the food. No response. They called me in concern that no one was responding and it was 9:35 at this point. They went around to the back door and pounded on the door. No response. They tell me they hear SOMEONE shuffling in the kitchen. I start calling LV Seafood. I can literally hear the phone ringing through the phone while on speaker with my friends -- no one picks up. It's 9:45, my friends are now shouting into the place to get the person's attention in the kitchen. Nothing. Finally they go out to the backdoor again and shout again. The person (revealed to be the owner) SNAPS THROUGH THE DOOR, "I heard you okay?!" If you've been hearing my friends try to get your attention, why would you not acknowledge them?! Even if the food was not ready, why would you not come out and explain the food was not ready? Instead of weirdly ignoring them and we were all concerned no one was at the place?! The owner (the door is still CLOSED by the way) then tells them to pull their car around to the backdoor. They do. BY 9:52 (!!!) the food is finished and she brings out the door to them. She says "I didn't respond because I wasn't finished with the food." HUH? That's so weird? My friends, with the money envelope, give her the money. She walks into the restaurant with the money and my friends prepare to organize the food in the car and leave. Three minutes later she RUNS BACK OUT AND STANDS BEHIND MY FRIENDS' CAR and says "$20 is missing!" sooo conveniently AFTER she disappears with the money inside the restaurant. My friends explains no, we counted it several times and the BANK counted it. They request to see the money again to count. She REFUSES and won't let them leave without an additional $20. My friends say they didn't have cash. Owner says "Oh! I have tap to pay inside. You can come in." WHAT? After making a fuss of cash only suddenly you have tap to pay when you're stealing? My friends were so frustrated by the ordeal and needed to leave for the party fast so they just paid the extra $20. But we will NEVER be using or eating LV Seafood again. I do not like dishonest business practices -- and it was extremely suspicious how she refused my friends to see the money again and how $20 was missing after she took it inside. It was also so rude and unprofessional to ignore my friends for 20 minutes and have the food late. Unacceptable. People who need catering BEWARE.

Yelp
Really good and crispy Orange Beef and Salt and Pepper pork chops! Both were well seasoned and crunchy (: We also tried the vegetable fried rice and it was pretty decent. Food was a 5/5 HOWEVER the actual service and waiting for food was disappointing. The salt and pepper pork chops came out first, 10 mins later the Orange Beef came out and about 15 mins later the fried rice came out. It was disappointing because we couldn't really eat since the rice was the last thing to come out. When it finally did, the other two dishes were cold already :/ 2/5 for the waiting in between dishes

Yelp
LV Seafood always hits! The pork chops are always a must as well as the crispy noodles. We also love the salt and pepper shrimp. I've had their steamed fish to their chop suey, all delicious! I do ask for the chop Suey pepared without any cornstarch and they will comply.

Yelp
One of the best Asian restaurants in Long Beach. This family-owned restaurant has amazing food, the service is excellent and the prices are affordable. Don't miss out!

Yelp
I'm a new fan since I'm new to the neighborhood. There was a gentleman in the front that gave very good recommendations for my large order. Servings are huge, food is fresh. I also orders a duck noodle soup that came with a quarter duck!? It was super juicy and flavorful I ate the rest of the duck with rice! It's tucked in a little street by our place. Restaurant was bright, well maintained, family friendly (large group friendly). Since then we have been ordering more than once a month. Try their noodles, soups, veggies dishes. Oh and the salt and pepper pork chops!!!! Super gooood

Yelp
Been here a handful of times now and this place never disappoints! Mom and Pop Chinese spot. Classic food you're nostalgic for and excellent service to boot! Highly recommend the orange crispy beef, but heck, everything is good! I've introduced numerous friends and family to this place and they all LOVE it!

Yelp
Excellent lunch specials food. $2 more per table for fried rice instead of steamed rice. No soup or egg roll w lunch specials but the prices are commensurate.

Yelp
Love this place, its a traditional old school chinese cuisine that are not found anymore. We had the wings, fried rice, kung pao chicken, and beef and broccoli and they were awesome. The service is good and if you choose to dine in, the ambience is great. Whenever I'm in the mood for authentic chinese food this is the place. I recommend it.

Yelp
Complimentary tea upon being seated, fresh food, great soups, attentive service. It's a good solid place where families gather. Not a fancy place or quiet place.
