I’m absolutely blown away with the amazing 10/10 overall food quality!! I moved to Colorado Springs over 2 years ago from Staten Island New York, and I gave up on finding great quality Italian food from trying so many so called good places around here… Until my friend Jason from Bella’s bagels another great local place recommended me here and wow everything was so incredible including the amazing service from Emily! Thank you so much, and you see me here weekly now!

Google
If I could give 10* I would! Emily R was our server, very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. We shared the Risotto, amazing flavor, salads were very fresh and delicious. I had the Bologense Spaghetti and my wife had the Ravioli special, both dishes were fabulous. What a great Anniversary dinner, thank you. Highly recommend trying this for authentic Italian cuisine.

Google
I would give this a 3.5 due to service & atmosphere. Food was amazing 10/10. Between the appetizer & entrees coming out it was a long wait, not really a big deal. Towards the end of our meal our waiter seemed like he disappeared & stopped coming to check on us. We had to ask flag him down to get the check & asked for a dessert to go. He brought the check after a bit, never returned to pick it up. We had to ask the bus boy at the next table over if he could take it. From the time we got the check, our food boxed to paying & getting our dessert it had been 32 minutes. 32 minutes of us just sitting there with no food in front of us & drinks empty. Total time spent at dinner was 2 hours for 1 app & 2 entrees. This is ridiculous. For this reason, I do not think I would be returning even though the food was amazing. The restaurant Is very loud, there was a birthday party behind us & they were extremely loud that we could not even hold a conversation. Also, food & drinks is fairly priced.

We stopped in this Friday (July 18,2025) Daisy was our host/waitress and she did a fantastic job. The lunch menu was perfect the atmosphere was cozy. It was not busy so we were in and out in an hour.

This is one of our favorite places to go for celebrations! The food is beyond excellent and the service is always top notch! We enjoy each experience!

Google
The food is absolutely AMAZING, the service not so much 😔 Ordered the salmon and the baked manicotti. Astonishing. The waitress put in the wrong order so it took extra long to get our food. She is super nice and very apologetic BUT there wasn’t any compensation. Messing up the order messed up the rest of our night because the store we needed to go to had closed. Comping a dessert, taking off an entree, some kind of discount would have been nice. The food is expensive. WORTH IT. But not when not compensated for error (especially for how nice the restaurant is and how expensive it is). We were rushed as well:/ we were still eating when they asked if we wanted to-go boxes and to assist with putting food in said boxes. Wouldn’t recommend if wanting outstanding service but HIGHLY recommend if wanting super great food!

Google
Pretty basic Italian food. There are some gluten free options but overall pretty "mid" as the kids would say. My daughter's meatballs were dry, I ordered the cod special and the fish was super fresh, the picata was good with fresh capers and not salty. The salmon is farmed but grateful the waitress was knowledgeable on the food.

Google
Overall, our experience was average considering the price and ambiance. We ordered the salmon medium rare, but it was served almost completely raw—about 95% uncooked. When we brought this to the server’s attention, we were told that this was their version of medium rare (refer to the attached photo for reference). When we requested a replacement, they surprisingly took the half-eaten salmon, cooked it further, and brought the same piece back to us. This was quite disappointing and unexpected. The calamari fritto also didn’t taste fresh. We usually dine at North Italia, and unfortunately, the food here did not come close to that level of quality or standard. I had read great things about the chefs at this restaurant—certified and highly praised—but that was not reflected in our experience today.

Yelp
This is absolutely the best Italian restaurant in all of Colorado in my opinion! We learned that the owner is an award winning Italian chef! The flavors, the quality, and the service was all phenomenal and you are treated like a 5 star guest. The quality of the food makes up for the pricing of the plates. If I could rate this place a 100 I so would! This was a perfect romantic dinner. Highly recommend to anyone!

Yelp
La Bella Vita really delivered on flavor and quality. Everything was clearly handmade, especially the pasta--perfectly al dente and fresh as can be. I had the tortellini, which was rich and comforting, while my wife went with the Parmesan chicken piccata--light, zesty, and cooked to perfection. The focaccia bread was warm and fluffy, and the burrata? Unreal. We actually ordered another after our meal because it was that good. No dessert this time, but we'll definitely be back to make up for it. Only reason I'm not going 5 stars is the portion sizes--just a little on the small side. But to be fair, that might be more of a "me" problem... I'm kind of a fat pig when it comes to Italian food. Still, totally worth it.
google avatar

Yelp
Great service, really good food. It felt like a home cooked meal which we loved. The gravy with the calamari was incredible, not too acidic. I had the cream based meal which was suggested by the server. It was good, but I wish I would've tried something with the traditional red gravy, but that's my fault.

Michael R.

Yelp
Perfectly authentic. As traditional and classic as you can imagine. Great "small town" vibe that matches the personality of the food and drink. Textbook southern Italian gem.

Rob O.

Yelp
We did take out this time and the quality of the entrees matched what would have plated for dining in.. After at least a dozen experiences, we've had an "ah ha" moment about the food. It's the noodles. Have never tasted anything as delicious. Marinara has just the right balance of flavors but was a bit salty for my taste. Make sure everyone at the table a dessert because after you share, there will be some take home boxes to share again. 'OH, OH. THIS REVIEW IS FOR THE LOCATION OFF GARDEN OF THE GODS.'

Yelp
Service was very good. Food left a lot to be desired. Just bland. Needed help, seriously. Don't bother.

Yelp
This has been one of the most memorable Colorado dining experiences for me. In the entire Colorado Springs area La Bella Vita is a five star gem and I'm so glad I found them! I came here for my birthday last week and it was such a delight to dine here. The first thing that stood out was the friendly and hospital service from the hostess to my server. Then the second thing that stood out to me was nicely decorated the restaurant was, and the menu. Thirdly, which is probably the most important of all is how utterly amazing the food taste! All of the entrées, my husband and I ordered were spectacular and my dessert was perfect! I had the chicken piccata which was good but not enough food. And my husband had a beef ravioli special which I wish I would've gotten instead of the piccata. Both dishes were out of this delicious and we did order their lemon-cello cheesecake and I personally did not like it, but the tiramisu I ordered was spot on! I look forward to coming back soon and trying out some of their other dishes which I'm sure are fantastic! Thank you La Bella Vita for making my birthday very special! It's a 2 thumbs way up for La Bella Vita!

Yelp
Every time I travel from Arkansas to Colorado Springs to visit my grandchildren I have to find an excuse to go here to eat. It is some of the finest Italian food I have ever had. The wine selection is wonderful. The service is not super fast. But it's reflected in the Care taken as your dish is delivered. This is not a cheap place to eat. But it is worth every penny.

Yelp
I've had La Bella Vita on my list for awhile. I finally got to dine here. To start, the restaurant provided complimentary bread for the table with some olive oil. Half of the bread was hard. The mozzarella caprese was fresh. I wish it came with a drizzle of balsamic glaze. I ordered the veal parm which was average in terms of flavor. I wish it was paired with pasta instead of rosemary potatoes (the potatoes were hard). My husband had the fettuccine vodka con gamberi - the sauce was good, and the shrimp were big and juicy. Tiramisu was decent. The service was great! If you're sensitive to sounds, keep in mind, you can hear everyone's conversations reverberating throughout the dining room. The art on the wall can be described as Italian-influenced with no cohesion. Overall, just okay. *3.5 stars*

Yelp
Excellent experience, good was amazing. Service was wonderful, our waitress was very friendly and helpful with recommendations. The food was wonderful 10/10

Yelp
We had a reservation for Saturday night during Thanksgiving weekend for 6. The table was ready and the restaurant looked pretty decorated for the holiday. The pasta is homemade and was delicious. One of my pet peeves is restaurants that don't supply a side salad with pasta. Salad and meatballs and frankly anything extra was just that--extra. Also dishes such as chicken parmigiana came with potatoes and broccoli. I like pasta with my parmigiana but of course that was extra. The server was overwhelmed. I ordered my drink after the others and it never arrived until we asked for it. My son ordered a salad and never received it. Water glasses were never refilled. It was a shame because the food was delicious but service would have me hesitate to return.

Rocco D.

Yelp
This could have been because of poor ordering, but our food was not good. Scileppi's is easily better than La Bella Vita. Service was ok-good, but nothing special. For how much we paid, this place did not deliver in the slightest. I do not typically complain/write reviews, but I could not finish my meal because it simply was not very good.

Yelp
La Bella Vita is a quintessential traditional Italian restaurant in Colorado Springs. The small dining room, lighting, servers on the ready, all create the high end traditional Italian spot vibe they are going for. The food does range in quality. They start you with some focaccia which was a wonderful start to the meal. The melanzane parmigiana (eggplant parmigiana) was layered and soft, much like a cake. The lack of crispness in the breading can be enjoyable texture wise if the flavor is there but there was a lack of flavor overall. I feel very similarly about the gnocchi al pomodoro e basilico. Texture of the gnocchi was great but lacked a bit of salt in the gnocchi itself. The sauce was a great tomato basil sauce but is very basic flavor wise and when the gnocchi isn't adding much flavor it ends up falling flat as a dish altogether. The rigatoni alla carre is the highlight dish we had. The pesto cream sauce is supremely enhanced with the mushrooms, artichokes, and tomatoes that creates a blend that is absolutely worth getting. The tiramisu is an extremely large tiramisu compared to the other standard tiramisu from around town. It is thoroughly a delicious tiramisu and I love what I believe are white chocolate chips sprinkled throughout the tiramisu. The cannoli was a pretty standard cannoli and didn't disappoint at all. While I think there are better Italian places in town, La Bella Vita really fits the traditional Italian restaurant vibe well.

Yelp
Was one of the best Italian restaurants we've ever eaten at * period * The place is extremely charming with the ambiance including a wine room designed to look like a house in Italy complete with a clay-tiled roof within the restaurant. We also had the most friendliest and kind servers - it really added to the warm atmosphere. The best part is the owners are from Italy who actively take part in the cooking, with the second generation now helping out in running the restaurant. Every dish was delicious, cheesy, and too good. Regardless of what you order - you must order their tiramisu. We loved it so much we ordered one more to go! What we ordered: coffee Burrata Alla Bella Vita - 4/5 Panzanella - 4/5 Tortellini Della Nonna - 5/5 Baked Manicotti - 5/5 Fettuccine Vodka con Gamberi - /5 (I don't eat it but was told it's good by friend) Tiramisu - 100/5

Yelp
Went back another time with friends, again, BINGO! "Winner, Winner Chicken Dinner!" No, I didn't have chicken. Ha....seafood and pasta I had, great! Q Seriously, you can't go wrong with this place. Excellent service and good. We'll be back!!!!!

Yelp
Great service! No complaints Seating area is small Reservation needed! Loved the food Lots of people!

Yelp
awful service, very rude, can't handle more than one table at a time. I would not recommend if you want a nice night out to a restaurant papa john's would be better service than here!!

Yelp
Wonderful place to take my wife for her 40th birthday. Service was excellent and the restaurant is very charming. We started with the Calamari Fritti, my wife had the lobster/shrimp special and I was recommended the Fettuccine Vodka con Gamberi. All of the meals were top notch. Truly enjoyed our experience and I was pleasantly surprised with the cocktail menu as well. Looking forward to making this a great spot for years to come.

Yelp
First off, this place is not easy to find, AND looks like you're in some closed business tower. That being said, inside is great and bright. Excellent service, greeted promptly, and the waitress explained any questions with a smile. The bread was one of those things that set the tone, crispy, chewy, and soft all together. Dinner was great, I had the chef special stuffed chicken, with potatoes and spinach. The flavors were like all over the place, in a good way! The tiramisu is made in house, and a HUGE portion. Definitely recommend stopping in here!

Yelp
This was our first time at La Bella Vita and it was so so good! Our waitress was very nice and attentive and had great recommendations for us. The starting bread was so good and fresh tasting! We also had caesar salads that we loved. My fiancé got Pollo Parmiggiana and I got Rigatoni alla Carre- we loved both! Super super yummy, cute italian vibe restaurant- overall a great experience and we will definitely be back!

Yelp
Such a lovely Italian restaurant in Colorado Springs! This place is no means over the top fancy but more of a laid back place you can bring family or friends to have a great meal. I can not remember my servers name but she was absolutely amazing! She recommended that I try the Salmon Baslico and it did not disappoint. The salmon was perfectly cooked and paired well with the beautifully seasoned basil sauce. The only thing that disappointed me was the side of potatoes and veggies that were served with the fish. They just seemed to be an afterthought nothing special compared to the Salmon.

Yelp
I went here on a date tonight and do mot even kind of recommend!!! The location is absolutely terrible, you can see carls jr and the highway out the window! The fold tastes like it's microwaved, even the bread is bland! And the SERVICE IS TERRIBLE!!!!!! The waitresses have no regard for conversation and wait until you start talking to interrupt and once they do they're rude about it! I did not have a good time here!

Yelp
Ordinary food. Odd service. Expensive. The hostess wasn't thoroughly welcoming. After the "don't you want to sit alone at the bar?" question, I was seated in the center of the room at a table, with several other unoccupied tables in the area. . The waitress literally got about 4" from my face when I was trying to order, and again, later, startling me. The pasta side wasn't the $8 as quoted in the menu, but $10. The food was brought seconds after I started eating the salad. No one offered to return the pasta or keep it warm until I was ready to start the main course. Honestly, I can make better spaghetti with meat sauce at home. This is a testimonial as to why people don't want to eat out in Colorado Springs, but make the trek to Boulder for great eating.

Thomas V.

Yelp
This is an unusual restaurant. The food is excellent. The service is excellent. The atmosphere is distractingly blah. The place looks like an old office someone put tables in. No drapery. Lighting that a boy scout would have selected. The food is the reason we come. This restaurant offers good food, but with strange pairings. We have never been to an Italian restaurant that paired their dishes with potatoes instead of pasta. Marsala sauce belongs with pasta, Scallopini sauce belongs with pasta, Scampi demands pasta. Were the potatoes good... yes, but I don't serve good green peas with lasagna. Good food, strangely served. The ambiance was screaming, pleading for help.

Alec B.

Yelp
The server was rude and talked to other tables because our food took 45 minutes to come out. A table that was sat 20 minutes after had their food first, the server said "your order was complicated". She had no idea how to serve a table. No apologies were said for the delay. The "veal" more like mystery meat and it was tough. The carbonara had been sitting in the window for so long that it became solid. The server said "that's the Italian way". That's not anyway to serve food. The only highlight was the manager who was kind and considerate.

Yelp
Delicious food! Great service! Our waitress Sarah was sweet and attentive! She reccommend a delectable pasta dish. Will be back my next time in the Springs!
google avatar

Yelp
The food is great. I always go the tortellini. The cappuccino and tiramisu was also top notch. Service is always friendly!
google avatar

Wesley A.

Yelp
This is not like any other Italian restaurant. The chef definitely knows how to treat the ingredients and has his own flavors. The staff is attentive and very efficient. This place gets crowded, so get there early. The location and ambiance don't quite do justice to the quality of the food. My wife had the Linguine alle cozze. The mussels were exceptional; succulent and smooth. Not the dry, spongy ones you get at other places. And plentiful enough to be a meal in themselves. The sauce was a spicy tomato-based sauce made with diced tomatoes and pepper. It certainly gets your attention. I had the Fettuccine Vodka con Gamberi. The cream sauce was a wonderful balance of flavors. It was creamy without being oily. The shrimp were cooked to succulent perfection. you'll need a second basket of bread so you can mop up the extra sauce.
google avatar

Debbie D.

Yelp
What a hidden gem and absolutely amazing!! Alexa our waitress as more than helpful and encouraging us to explore. Well explore we did. the risotto Milanese which was the most amazing flavor bomb of risotto. We had the rigatoni which was so full of flavor and artichokes that tasted straight from Castroville ( and I'm pa cry since Castroville where they are grown is close by. If you are in this area and want great Italian food, this is a must visit and this is truly amazing.

Kathy C.

Yelp
I am Italian and I had a cousin (very Italian) visiting from back east. We went and the food was terrible, sad to say the owner is also Italian shame on him. I will never go back or take anyone there ever again!
google avatar

Monika B.

Yelp
The food here is great! Some dishes stand out more than others. Example, the lasagna, the things I'd do for a slice of it. The chicken Marsala, not so much. I love the bread and oil you get when walking in. The service. Hear me out okay, the people are amazing, but they are made to act so stuffy! You're getting High class 90's in here with how the place is decorated. If you're going to keep original deco, let the servers chill out a little? It would give the place a super chill vibe that it's dying for. Not upscale modern; that would ruin it. Just chill. But! I digress, and ultimately that's just a personal preference. I can say, we will be back soon happily all the same.

Yelp
Excellent service all around. We felt taken care of and the food was delicious! We visited Venice and Rome this summer and it felt like being back in Italy!

Yelp
Absolute favorite Italian Restaurant in Colorado Springs. Great service, especially at lunch. Forestiera sauce is simply to die for, and the appetizers are great.

Yelp
This has got to be the best Italian restaurant in Colorado Springs. Pleasant surroundings and wonderful food. Still makes my mouth water. Yum. Our waitress was very knowledgeable about every entrée.

Yelp
Great food and value! I really enjoyed the chicken Marsala. The service was good and it was decently quiet and well visited. We will be back!

Yelp
Beautiful atmosphere and delicious authentic Italian from a native-born and trained chef. The complimentary bread was perfect with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. It was my first time to try a panzanella salad, and it did not disappoint! The fresh Parmesan was so good on both the salads and pasta. My daughter-in-law would have loved some angel hair pasta with her piccata, but she did love the chicken and sauce. The potatoes were light on flavor as well. The baked manicotti and lasagna bolognese were off the charts incredible! My carbonara was so delicious, but I prefer the pancetta to be rendered more. It was still wonderful. My son loved his tiramisu and my dream man and I shared a mouth-watering crème brûlée. Really great service as well!

Dan D.

Yelp
First class amazing Italian food. Have been going there since around 2016. Have never been disappointed with the food. Try to get there 4 or 5 times a year. It has become increasingly pricey over the past several years, but I guess everyone has. Regardless the value is there. Great service, ambience and the quality of the food justifies the price

Yelp
With the help of Yelp, I decided on La Bella for our night out to celebrate our anniversary and boy did they deliver! I make my own pasta at home, so impressing me with pasta is not easy, but they absolutely crushed my expectations. My wife ordered the tortellini and I ordered the linguine alle vangole. When they came out to the table, I knew right away that this meal was going to be fantastic. One bite of the tortellini and I was mind blown. This is the best pasta dish that I believe I've ever had. It was insane. My dish was great, but I'm definitely getting the tortellini next time. We've lived in the springs for a year now and we finally have a favorite restaurant.
google avatar

Debbie G.

Yelp
Always have Excellent service and everything is homemade. A place you don't want to miss!

Lindsay W.

Yelp
I have been to Italy. This is only place I've been that the food and the atmosphere are just as good as the real thing! WOW!! I was visiting from out of state only in Colorado Springs to 2 days. The food and cocktails were so good that we decided to come back 2 nights in a row! If I'm ever back in the area, I WILL be back here!
google avatar

Michael M.

Yelp
Mama and grandma would be undone. Perfect. Cocktails appetizers antipasto, ensalade, vino, booze huge entrees to share, cappuccino, tir'a-mi-su spumoni Asti spumonte. Had it zll on a cold & snowy night. That's right Aldovina-'Lois Jimmy Joe and Landa all went to the other side wishing they had take you there. Maybe in Heaven there is forgiveness. Aahh-what the heck Go and take your entire Familia Or be square

Yelp
One of the best Italian restaurants I've eaten at in CO. We were a group of 6 so it took a while for us to get our food. Actually our server didn't come over to us for about 15 minutes after we sat down, so we had our entire order ready. We ordered 3 bottles of wine, calamari, bruschetta for the table. Calamari was one of the best I've had. Personally I got the carbonara and it was delicious, although I had to ask for peas, even though in photos it shows it with peas (I love peas). Overall the food was spectacular and the ambiance is quaint. We loved it!

Yelp
Food was hot and tasted fine, dessert was good. Quality of food definitely could be better for the price point, but inflation is everywhere at this point. The lighting seemed a tad too bright for a restaurant, but our party of three came in for a casual dinner not expecting ambience. No discernable music playing, or general ambience allows the tightly packed dining room to sound like an auditorium. Service was horrible. Our server Eric was obviously stressed out, he was very short with us and barely gave us any attention. It took a while for him to greet us and get our drink orders taken. The wine we ordered also took some time to get to the table. Eric walked by multiple times and didn't even glance at our table when we were in need of refills on our water and bread. When requesting refills he would visually scoff at us and not respond with a definite answer. Most of our interactions consisted of him passing by our table and us trying to hail him down with an ambiguous, mumbled response in return. As someone who's worked in the service industry, I understand when things get hectic, interactions have to be quick when bouncing between tables. But being rude and annoyed in front of the customer shouldn't even be considered. It's ironic since our needs we're mostly fulfilled by assistive staff (which we had no problems with), so I'm having a hard time understanding why he was so flustered when it seems like most of his job is intended to ensure customers are having a memorable experience. Eric walked by empty handed every time I saw him pass our table, which shows his incompetence of multitasking as a server since he could easily tend to our basic needs (or at least ask if we needed anything) while heading to another table. After ordering dessert, we were visibly ready for the check with our wallets out while he passed us multiple times not even glancing at us. The table was taken back when we asked to split the check at the end of our meal and he responded with an annoyed, condescending look right to our faces without saying a word. This interaction was the sole reason I chose to write this review, I am usually patient and understanding and like to give people the benefit of the doubt, however, his whole demeanor and overall rudeness straight to our faces ruined our night and made us regret even going here. The principle of even tipping our server was harsh considering how subpar the service was. Other servers seemed to be tending to their patrons, so I wouldn't say service is overall horrible. We definitely had a bad apple server which stained our first impressions of this restaurant. **Also updated my review from 2 stars to 1 considering the multiple 5 star reviews seem to be fabricated by bots. Funny enough, I'd rate the service they used to pump up the reviews higher than the establishment itself.

Yelp
I'm not an Italian Food aficionado, but I thought the food was great here. I had the bruschetta for an appetizer and it was awesome, really flavorful. I had the Chicken Marsala entree and it was delicious. I esp liked that the servings were manageable size. Except for the desserts...my friends had the spumoni and got several scoops of it. It had a very quiet atmosphere and very good service. Would definitely recommend it.

Yelp
I came here for a Christmas party, food and drinks were great serving portions were perfect. The appetizers were perfect as well their cocktails. I will definitely be back here! The atmosphere was great!

Gerard V.

Yelp
The food was good. The seating was very uncomfortable. One sank into the cushion on the booth so that one's head was about level with the table. Then we noticed horrible acoustics. The restaurant was fairly crowded so the noise level was almost unbearable. There were four of us and we could barely hear each other talk. A few updates to the restaurant could fix these problems.

Yelp
The Beautiful Life Restaurant left us little to want. The drinks were great and the food, make no mistake: all delicious like chocolate cake. The cannoli, fit for the Holy, See what Italy might be in the twenty-first century. Cappuccino was great , warming the soul from foot to pate. Daniel our server was friendly, fast, and incredibly attentive to our every plate not liking to leave the finer details to fate. And so we are. It was great!
