The food here is honestly disappointing. If you like bland, flavorless dishes, then this might be for you, but I was not impressed. This plate alone cost $50, and it definitely wasn’t worth it. The service was terrible, and while the place advertises itself as a “Mexican restaurant,” it doesn’t feel authentic at all. The music choice was off, —it just feels like they’re profiting off Mexican culture without actually representing it.

Spent the weekend in Connecticut… or should I say spent the weekend at La Bocco 😭 Between Anastasia and Steven the Vegan (who makes the BEST lemon drops), I’m about to start leaving Pennsylvania every weekend. They’re both truly remarkable people and I recommend this place to everyone. And listen… $5 Coronas in a state that charges per bottle?? I’ll take it 🍻🔥

We always enjoy our food here. Items are well prepared. Portions are big. Atmosphere is lovely. We only eat pescaterian food here because we can only eat halal meat. And there are plenty of options for us with shrimp etc. Or we can order a dish and ask them to make it with shrimp only. There's is open mic on Wednesdays in the bar area. But we don't drink so we stay in the dining hall side. But it gets crowded quick there after dinner time. Adding some pictures of our food.

If you like overpriced food and hair in your meals, this is the place for you. Do you like a wad of hair with your chips? How about some wrapped up in your wings? Had this happen multiple times so will never go here again.

Was excited to try. Our waitress was the sweetest ,bartender was nice its more of a bar atmosphere. We went on a Friday 630 7ish Christmas department store music. I ordered tacos all 3 chicken beef and pork the meat was dry the flavor was there but not authentic my husband ordered a burrito again dry meat. My margarita was in a glass with club soda different....Not a terrible experience but wouldn't go back.

We haven't dined here in awhile but decided to go. This was prior to a movie so that was where we parked. Good selection of local beers and ciders. The menu had plenty to choose from. Stuffed jalapeños was the appetizer followed by a burrito mojado also known as a wet burrito. This was Stuffed with chicken and topped with a Chipotle cream sauce. More than I could eat but made for a great breakfast the next day. Service was a little slow for a slow night and had to ask for our appetizer. Overall a good experience.

Stopped here on a Sunday afternoon for a late lunch. They had place on the patio but it got windy so we moved inside. Service was a bit slow despite the fact that they were not very crowded. Their tap list was pretty impressive with plenty of local craft options (I'm not used to that at Mexican eateries). We both ordered salads which were delicious and portion size was considerable. I would definitely recommend the Chipotle ranch dressing!

Avocado Salad is my favorite !! I recommend it with chicken or shrimp. Recommend asking for the tortilla strips with the salad if they don't automatically bring them out with the salad. LaBoca has one of the best salsas around in my opinion. LaBoca is well known for offering a unique selection of Margerita's that are usually quite amazing. We went at off peak time, our waitress was on point. You might even find some live entertainment depending on the night. The ambiance is a huge HUGE bar, with plenty of space for tables in the bar room. On the other side of the bar wall is the dining room for larger parties.

We came for dinner on a Monday night. The menu was extensive and had some great beverage and food options. We ordered guacamole and chips for an appetizer, which was great. We also all ordered flavored classic margaritas, which were also excellent. For dinners, we got shrimp tostadas, chicken chimichangas and beef and cheese enchiladas. The food was excellent. Our server was lovely but portions of the evening moved just slightly slower than expected. All in all, it was a good experience. Portions were generous, pricing was great. The space was very fun, bright and festive. Makes for a great entertaining space - would be interested to come back on a busier night when they have the DJ there. Will return!

Came in for Wacky Wing Wednesday wings are .75 cents today w a 10 count required. I had 42 Awesome flavors either Wet Rub or Dry Rub. I tried the Honey Hot Maple Chipotle. Yummy. I went w Maple as it's in season now for March. The service is fast here as you don't have to wait too long for your order. Always clean here when I visit and friendly staff.

Very friendly staff and bar tenders. Food came out very quickly and the atmosphere was very chill! Food tasted AMAZING! def worth trying!! Awesome margaritas!!

(Last visited 5/7/2022.) It's been a heck of a drunken Saturday and we're ending our night off here at La Boca in Middletown! We met up with some friends here for a nightcap and here's how it went! Atmosphere/Appearance: Settled right on the southbound side of Main Street is this gem. The exterior and outdoor seating section is very colorful, lined with bright flowers enclosed by a metal fence which makes things super inviting. Once inside you're immersed in industrial decor such as exposed brick walls, worn wooden floors, greenery above and simple wooden chairs with disconnected cushions. It's very comforting and not over the top. The restaurant is elongated so once you walk in the space goes on for a long time, but not very far to the left or right. A very simplistic and open design. Service: I can't remember who took care of us and I also don't remember having any issues either. So yeah, moving on! Lol. Food: I had a couple of delicious house margaritas that were pretty tasty, but nothing out of the ordinary. For my late-light meal I went with something a little healthier, the Taco Grand Salad and I added some grilled chicken. The salad consists of a crispy fried tortilla shell filled with romaine lettuce, tomatoes, black olives, roasted corn, black beans, pickled jalapenos and queso fresco. I then added guacamole as well. It was fresh, filling, delicious and most importantly, guiltless. Lol. Value: The salad on its own without any protein is $15.99. Adding chicken was an additional $3.00. It's a decent Mexican spot so nothing is terribly expensive, but the quality of the menu here is a bit better than other spots, so bring your checkbook, but you won't break the bank here. In conclusion, I've never been here or even heard of it, but I'm glad I got the chance to stop in and check it out!

We went to la boca on a Thursday night at about 8pm. When we first got to the restaurant, we were waiting at the hostess stand for about 5 minutes before we went up to the bar and asked if it was self seating. The bartender said 'things are really busy right now.' Eventually, the hostess came to the stand and sat us at a table. When she sat us she said right away 'it'll probably be a little bit because your waitress is REALLY busy right now.' Why are you still sitting people if the wait staff is too busy to attend to them? It was frustrating that the staff felt the need to remind you that the restaurant was busy. With all that being said, the service was actually pretty quick and great. Our waitress was nice and attentive. The food was very good, I really enjoyed my queso and beef enchiladas. The rice was delicious as well. The bar itself is cool. It was open mic night so people were going up and performing, which is fun to listen to. Overall, it was a decent experience.

I hate doing this because I used to love this establishment, but really it's just a shadow of what it was. First, FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT'S HOLY, STOP PUTTING WILTED ICEBERG LETTUCE IN YOUR TAKE OUT CONTAINERS AS A GARNISH. See attached picture. Is it attractive? Would you eat it? NO! ALL IT DOES IS MAKE MY APPS SOGGY ON THE RIDE HOME! Go in to grab my takeout order. It's the only one there. One dude sitting at the bar, and the rest of the joint seems pretty quiet, especially for Mother's Day. Still, they managed to forget one whole meal (it was there, on the receipt stapled to the bag) and not include ANY sauces or dips. Plenty of lettuce though. FFS. While I'm here griping, where's the music? You have one of the few decent stages on Main St. and I never hear about local bands playing here anymore. This place is quickly losing its charm. Get it together.

Only ended up here after our initial choice ended up being closed on Mondays, but it was great! They had margarita Monday all night and happy hour until 6! I forgot to take a picture of the happy hour menu, but they had many choices all reasonably priced. For starters, the margaritas were huge, strong, and only $5!!! For food I got tacos and wings. The tacos were very yummy, and the wings were decent. While the wings were a little small, they were very crispy and tasty, but the sauce I got had zero taste and looked just super oily. However, I saw other people with much better looking wings, so I think I just picked a weird sauce (curry chutney). My mom ordered the boca burger and she loved it. Huge burger with a decent amount of fries for $8! It was also not very busy inside and the bartender was very attentive, I would come back!

The Food: We started with the chips and salsa... and added their queso. The chips with salsa were great, but the queso made them awesome! For my meal I had the ground beef enchiladas, they were very good and I enjoyed them. This place makes the best Spanish rice and excellent refried beans, these certainly took my enchiladas to the next level of enjoyment. My server was excellent our drinks were never left empty and she constantly asked if we would like more.... Very attentive. I find the ambiance to be traditional Mexican, albeit a bit too dark for my taste. (brightness)

Not bad. We came earlier on a Sunday, with the evening crowd not quite present and no tables full. Honestly worried this was the harbinger of doors to close. Thankfully the pleasant bartendress let us know it picks up enough to save the rent before long. Mezcal and snacks, with a side of scorpion, allowed for a decent afternoon in a private setting. Back porch is a hidden gem, walled on all sides allowing you to let loose within reason.

Good food, good service, good prices. Third review. Simply like the place for good Mexican food.

I have enjoyed coming to La Boca over the years. The service has been good overall, however, it's frustrating seeing their drink prices constantly increasing. I have the receipts to prove it. In the last year (Sept 2023 - Sept 2024) their prices for a Mojito increased from $10 to $12 to now $13. A 30% price increase in one year for the same drink is crazy! I used to go here weekly, but now that their prices have gone up I just go once in a while, like once every other month. Their happy hour drink menu also is not it anymore. Used to be great when you could get cocktails at a discount, now the drink options for happy hour are limited and just ok. If they fixed this I would definitely go more often.

I enjoyed my happy hour very much at La Bocca last night. I went with my daughter and her mother-in-law for happy hour, and it was very enjoyable. There were not a lot of people there so we were able to kind of spread out at the bar. I had a Bud Light and a bowl of black bean soup. It was very good and I was full after eating it. My daughter had the chicken soft tacos with chicken, cilantro, and onion only. She said they tasted very healthy and she liked that. Also, there was some hot sauce on her plate and she said it was a little spicy which she liked. my daughter's mother-in-law had a mango margarita which she said was very sweet. She also had their spring rolls which she liked very much. Can't wait to go back and try some new items on the menu.

The food is tasty and also reasonably priced. There's a lot of variety on the menu but it's not overwhelming. They leave a lot of room for customization. We ordered the coconut shrimp which had a purplish, fruity sauce with it and was really nice. I had the tres amigos enchiladas which each has a different filling and sauce. The flautas were nice and juicy, bigger than the ones I'm used to seeing from the Poblanos in NYC which look more like boxed taquitos.

First thing, I'd like to thank them for having so many vegetarian choices. I was extra happy to read that their re-fried beans are made in veggie stock, and they are GOOD! I rarely get to enjoy re-fried beans at restaurants. I ordered Chillie Renello. My meal came out fast, hot and delicious. The margaritas were average. We sat outside. The street traffic provides it's own entertainment. The atmosphere inside is dark, decorative and intriguing. I love all the plants and Mexican decor. Give it a whirl.

This place is so yummy! The decoration is really pretty, ambience is fun and lively, and food/drinks are delicious! We have been here several times and I keep forgetting to take pictures/write a review because I'm just so enchanted by the good time I have when here. I have gotten fajitas before, shrimp on one occasion, steak on another, and those have been so far my favorite meals here. This past time I got the Santa Fe burrito bowl, with steak, and it was alright. The fajitas are definitely way yummier. My husband refuses to try anything else and always orders the exact same shrimp & chorizo quesadilla. I keep trying to get him to order the wings since he LOVES wings, but he loves quesadillas more and apparently he says they have the best shrimp quesadilla in CT. I love coming here and their all natural fruit juices that they can add to any Margarita is amazing as well.

A little pricey BUT the food is really good. Drinks are tasty and strong! I really enjoyed my tacos. I got the trio and it hit the spot. The service was very quick and the staff friendly.

Went out in a Friday night with one if my friends and decided to grab dinner at La Boca. She had never ben and Iove the cute outside seating in the back. The restaurant was not packed. If anything people started to get there as we were finishing up. Food was good. I've had better. But I had no complaints! It was tasty . My friend ordered a dessert and wanted to take the rest home. She asked for a container multiple times to 2 different waiters and someone never came to give her that container. We got tired and frustrated that we left and she just left the piece of dessert.

I first visited La Boca restaurant on a Wednesday afternoon for lunch. I didn't venture inside as the day was gorgeous and the person I was meeting already had an outdoor table selected. So, I cannot comment on the indoor seating. The outdoor area was pleasant and well shaded for a sunny afternoon. Not great for a big crowd, but decent for a small lunch group. As soon as I was seated my drink order was taken and free chips and salsa landed on the table. The chips were ok - a bit bland. The salsa was very watery. I'm used to more chunk in my salsa - so I wasn't a big fan of it, but it was something to slowly munch on while we waited for our food. I ordered a taco grande salad with grilled shrimp and their house dressing. I have to say I was quite impressed with this salad. The taco shell was probably one of the best I've ever had - flaky and not too oily with good flavor and texture for a taco bowl. The shrimp were excellent! Perfectly seasoned and grilled and they were substantial in size. The dressing was also delicious. I couldn't tell if it was fresh or straight out of a bottle, but it was delicious. I will definitely try this place again and explore other items on their menu! Summary - good Mexican place, minus one star for the salsa.

I should've checked Yelp rating on this one before going in. I should say the host was quick sitting us down, so first impression was great. The bartenders were very attentive, the food came out quick. Wings were excellent, the flautas need more chicken filling. Excellent choices of beers on tap. The only problem was there was a group who hung out at the bar like it's their house for hours who were inappropriate and unruly. They were not actively drinking or eating, just chatting with their watered down drinks. I guess this is the kind of bar who allows that so if you're not into that, this place is not for you.

Friday night date night and I was craving Mexican. Parked on the street right outside, and walked in around 8:45pm to what felt much more like a dive bar than a restaurant. There was no host or hostess, just an easily-missed sign that said to see the bartender to be seated. The bar was packed and it was a bit of a challenge to be seated for dinner at a proper table, but we eventually were able to find someone who seated us at a small table just next to the bar. I am recently sober and was there for dinner, so the ambiance was a bit disappointing, especially considering that there appeared to be a nicer dining room on the other side with nobody in it. We were told that there were no proper waitstaff but that we could place dinner orders from their full menu by going up to the bar. When I asked the bartender what non-alcoholic options were available, he was unable to offer any. I asked if he could make me something with pineapple juice, seltzer and a lime after I was told there weren't any virgin margaritas, and it was fine. The chips and salsa both disappointingly tasted as though neither were prepared fresh in-house. I also ordered a house salad with no olives and mango vinaigrette on the side. It came from the kitchen as ordered, but was rather plain. Add a little cucumber, pickled onion and some tortilla strips, and this salad would go from 2.5 stars to 5. Let me tell you what impressed me, surprisingly: their chicken wings. If this place has a reputation for their chicken wings, I am sorry to say that I hadn't yet heard it, and if they do not yet have a reputation for their chicken wings, they definitely deserve one. The menu boasts a wide variety of flavors ranging from traditional to avant-garde. There was a seasonal menu of specials that included Maple Bacon Jalapeño Wings and they were amazing. Bangarang. Real crispy bacon, maple syrup, the chicken wings were perfectly juicy on the inside, crispy on the outside, and their house made blue cheese dressing was super rad! I just wish they had used fresh sliced jalapeños instead, almost perfect!! All things considered, La Boca offers awesome bar food with very prompt kitchen service if you're looking for a later night out. A bit of a disappointment when hoping for a nice dinner out at a restaurant, but now that I know what to expect, I can promise I will be back for more wings!

Last weekend my boyfriend and I had the pleasure of trying La Boca for the first time, food was to die for, and Erin provided us with the best suggestions and service to date! We will be back! If you visit make sure to ask for Erin!

This was a place with lots of interesting décor. There was a dining area off to the left upon entering as well as a lounge and bar area straight back. There was also a large stage in the back of the lounge. There was lots of space. The menu had many intriguing options. It had more than a traditional Mexican menu. For example, I believe they had 42 different wing flavors with unique flavors. I did not order those, however. The service was also appreciated. Chips and salsa started off the meal. The first batch of chips were stale, which was a disappointment. The salsa was alright, just not spicy which I prefer. I ordered the smothered chili steak burrito ($15.99) which was a dinner special. It was a large tortilla with grilled skirt steak, garlic, onions, salsa rojo, black beans, and shredded jack cheese with salsa rojo and cheddar jack cheese on top. It was served with Mexican rice and refried beans. The burrito was very large and filled with toppings, but that was the only positive of this. The steak was very tough and hard to chew. That really ruined this burrito for me. The rice and beans were tasty though. Will I go back? Possibly.

Not quite 4 stars but close. Cute décor inside and out. We sat on the hidden outdoor patio way in the back. It's very nice and almost has a NY feel about it. Our food was good and plated nicely. It's Mexican but a bit more Americanized Mexican. The menu was large and had lots of options. The true flaw on our visit was service. While our server was very nice, it took forever to get anything. We had to ask for our flatware, straws, etc. Our drinks were never refilled nor offered to be refilled and on a very hot day on the patio. We witnessed other tables having to get up and go find her for things they needed. Despite that, I'd return again if in the area.

My new favorite bar. Matt is an unreal bartender. If I'm on my deathbed and I have one bar on the planet to go get a final drink, GIVE ME LA BOCA. Matt treated me hard to some chips and is one of the best bartenders I've ever had. I recommend everyone to come to this great establishment for not only great food and drink, but unreal service and great activities like karaoke, trivia, and watching the Bruins beat up on the Toronto Maple Leafs.

It's ok- would we go back? Maybe... Went for taste of middlesex week and ordered off the prefixe menu. It's typical non-authentic Mexican food. We got the Mexican spring rolls (which I found very bland) and chicharones (which are just pork rinds). We are used to chicharrones from other Spanish restaurants where you get a strip with meat and the skin. These weren't bad, I actually liked them with the dipping sauce, but just not what we expected. We got the pork belly tacos and rancheros camerones for entrees. The pork belly tacos were good but 2 was not enough for my boyfriend. I got the shrimp which was tasty but found the steamed broccoli carrots and zucchini to just be out of place for the dish. I ate it don't get me wrong, I like my veggies, just wasn't impressed. Would've been better cooked with the sauce the shrimp was in. Dessert was fried ice cream and churros. I liked the ice cream, churros just didn't do it for me. Didn't seem fresh. Place itself- Bathrooms are gross. They need a makeover and a good thorough cleaning. The restaurant side closes at 10 (on a Friday which I found odd) and the bar side seemed like the place to be but we didn't go in there. Our waitress was fantastic, I wish I remembered her name but I don't but she was on point and very friendly. Overall it was ok, food wasn't bad, it was good but some things were off and then restaurant itself needs a good makeover/cleaning.

Dinner was disappointing. Waiter seemed as though he took a little bump before shift and got upset when we asked to split our check. Fish tacos were good, a little salty, and the rice and beans could use some work (comparable to chilis). Waited for our check so long I had to go look for them to hand in the payment. Also, Diet Coke was watery asf.

Unfortunately, I didn't read other reviews before visiting LaBaca. The only positive part of the experience was the server who was attentive and have a welcoming personality. The food was terrible. Most disturbing was a flatbread app that had a very soggy (actually wet) bread. When the server asked if we wanted to wrap the uneaten half to go, we told him it was terrible, he apologized but didn't offer any replacement or compensation. The first table we sat at had uneven legs, so we asked to move, then they just sat another group at the wobbly table. The margaritas tasted "off" we didn't finish them either. I would never return, sorry.

Best Mexican bar in Middletown! Great food and drinks. The decor is fun and the live music is phenomenal. The bartenders Murph, Matt, Sarah, and Anna, are all super friendly and quick to make you feel at home and the bar-back Jeremy is so helpful and sweet! Love this place!!!

10/10. The best place to go for happy hour for some drinks and snacks. Pride 2019 was amazing and La Boca made the whole experience phenomenal. Back to the food and drinks- the wings and curly fries are out of this world. Regualr priced items such as the cheese quesadillas for $14 is a little over priced BUT food and drinks aren't the completely best part. The staff is what makes it a great experience. The twins, Kendra and Kelly are always happy, laughing, and are very personable and are always on top of everything! Mallory and Maddie are also always a pleasure to see! La Boca should definitely have and LGBTQ night every week after having a pride night. It's the perfect place to have something like that! I definitely recommend it!

I love this restaurant: great food at a reasonable price with friendly service! The chicken/ avocado burrito and the seafood burrito are particularly tasty.

This is my 3rd or 4th visit to this much larger location (I think only a couple check-in's), and the food is not the same. When I first started going to LaBoca they were at a smaller location practically across the street from where they are now, and I loved the food. Most recently I had 2 margaritas and the first one was great, the second one was almost too sour to drink. It wasn't very busy (very cold night) and our waitress really took much too long between check-ins at our table, we had to wait for a second round of drinks (everyone's cup was empty) and we had to wait for chips after ordering queso. Everyone said their food was "ok", so none of it was bad, but we all agreed it was just mediocre. I think they have a great bar space, but for my dining dollar value, I'll probably look to go elsewhere.

I've had mixed experiences at La Boca over the years. Having visited their old location in the past, the drinks were good and appetizers were generally good, but anytime I had dinner it was mediocre at best. I've had a restaurant. com certificate burning a hole in my pocket since July, so finally decided to check out La Boca's new location. I went in on a Monday for the "Blues, Brews and BBQ" special. I'm not sure what the "blues" part is, and I didn't have a brew, but I was curious to see what BBQ at a Mexican restaurant was all about. Having read their website before we got there, I saw that there is a different BBQ special every week. Some type of smoked meat with sides. It's made fresh for Mondays, and they sell it from 5pm - midnight or until it runs out. The special on Monday 1/13 was 1/4 applewood smoked chicken and a smoked sausage on a pretzel roll with peppers and onions. It came with choice of 2 sides (mac and cheese, potato salad, cole slaw or baked beans), all for $10. We arrived around 6:30 and the restaurant was remarkably empty. It is a lot nicer looking than their old space, though from the inside you'd have no idea you're inside a Mexican restaurant. I suppose that's not a bad thing. We were seated immediately and our waiter came right over. We ordered drinks (frozen mango margarita for me, pinot noir for my husband). Though I couldn't find any of the flavors on the new drink menu, I ordered what I had always gotten in the past and I wasn't told it wasn't available. The drinks arrived quickly, along with chips and salsa. The chips were fresh and the salsa had a nice kick. The mango margarita was light on both mango and tequila. It was fine, but had I known it was $7.50, I would have gotten wine instead. For an appetizer, we ordered "empanadas" - chorizo and queso variety. I put it in quotes because while it was plural on the menu, it was singular on the plate when it arrived. One lame little empanada with the characteristic La Boca topping of lettuce, tomato and cheese. Oh, it was all coming back to me, everything I dislike about La Boca. Inside was dry and relatively flavorless. Not much filling at all. The empanada itself was mushy, not flaky and crisp. If you blindfolded me and asked me what I was eating, I probably would have guessed that I was eating a microwaved frozen bean burrito. Not good, especially for $8. Even worse to get charged $10 when the check came, even though the menu said $8. I was very glad I had not decided to give a Mexican entree another try. The quality of their Mexican food has obviously not improved. Our BBQ entrees arrived. I ordered the mac and cheese and cole slaw on the side. The cole slaw was good, fresh. The mac and cheese was mediocre. It tasted like it was made with velveeta and not much else. My husband got the mac and cheese and baked beans. The beans were the star of the meal! Yummy with big chunks of pork in them. Best thing I ate all night. The chicken was good taste wise, but very dry. Luckily I had a side of sauce to dip it in. The sausage grinder was good, but the roll was very dry. I ate the sausage, peppers and onions and it was good. As I started this review, I had it pegged as a 3. I've now talked myself down to a 2. Food quality, prices, overcharging from already high menu prices, it was not a great experience. The BBQ was fine but not enough to go there when I don't have a restaurant.com certificate to lessen the prices of the drinks and appetizers. I didn't mention earlier in the review, but our server Mitchell was wonderful. He was there when we needed him and wasn't there when we didn't. If not for him, this review might have come in at a 1. I just think for both Mexican and BBQ, there are much better choices for your money. And now I don't even think it's a good spot for drinks anymore, unless you want to spend money on drinks with little to no liquor or flavor.

Never Again!!! I'm sad about this, I've been going to this restaurant for literally decades but it's time to say goodbye. After giving them a second chance from our disastrous last curbside order, we decided to go into the restaurant last night. From the moment we entered the restaurant it was a mess, the girl at the front desk was less than thrilled to even be bothered to greet us. she led us to our table, threw the menus down and walked away. Rude. Our waitress Erin came over after about 15 minutes and took our drink order, she brought rolled up set ups, they use cloth napkin, I unrolled mine to see the napkin was filthy!!! we had already ordered at that point so we ended up staying but the food wasn't amazing, it used to be such a treat but it just wasn't. No one in our party enjoyed it. Erin was pleasant and honestly she was the best part of the experience. Theres nothing worse than working hard for your money and then going out to enjoy an evening at an old favorite and have it be a terrible experience. we won't be returning.

Just recently went to La Boca for my best friends birthday. Although she made a reservation and spoke to someone twice, we had arrived and was told the reservation wasn't listed in their books. However, they were able to accommodate our rather large party (thank goodness). The food was lovely and everyone had a great time but really wanted to shout out our amazing waiter Will (that's the name on the receipt and I truly hope I remembered correctly) and the amazing staff who helped him. He was beyond patient, friendly, and extremely hard working. Just wanted to call out how much we truly appreciated him!!

I got the rhubarb margarita (so hard to find) and it was delicious and the beef and cheese enchiladas with crema sauce; I loved the atmosphere and the staff were wonderful too, would definitely recommend if you're looking for good Mexican food in Middletown!

The food is good. I downgraded 1 star to take into account our current covid19 situation. It's all take out. I truly appreciate that I was able to order and pay online and when I got notification I walked in and it was sitting on the bar, in an empty room. Nice! So I ordered taco meal, mole chicken meal, a steak taco type meal, and an order of 5 jalapeño poppers. I gave a 15% tip. It came to just about $70. I think I would be happier to frequent the place if they had dinner specials or something. Honestly, Chili's has $10 combo meals and yes, it's chili's but it's a bit more reasonable to feed my family on. I think they gotta adjust the prices. Poor example of Mexican food. Guacamole was from a container... trust me I used to work in a chain restaurant. Rice tasted like the ones I buy at the grocery store in the microwave bag. EXACTLY the same rice! Meat was not well done like I asked. Everything about my and my families meal was wrong and poorly executed. It looks nice on the inside. But when you look close everything about this looks DIRTY. The chips looked half eaten from a previous table, the salsa was spicy but watery. The bathrooms where absolutely GROSS, dirty, with cobwebs, and grime. Nothing about this place I recommend. !!!NOTHING!!! Fake Mexican food Fake example of any Mexican food Poor quality Manager did not come to the table when a plate was sent back for it not being fully cooked. Who gives half cooked meat out ? No one In my party was happy with their meal or drinks. Ughhh never returning

Drinking environment: 5 stars Appetizers: 4 stars Real food: 3 stars Definitely go here if you are looking to socialize, drink, and have some nachos. Other than that, you'll probably be a bit disappointed. I tend to avoid this place unless I'm with a group, and then, I almost strictly order apps

Absolutely love La Boca! Exceptional food, delicious drinks and awesome events/music. I love the atmosphere here and I always have a great time.

My coworker and I tried LA boca today for lunch. We both ordered the same thing the grilled chicken and avocado burrito. When I arrived, there were just two workers in the place no customers on a Wednesday afternoon. As for the food, It was very messey as a burrito I had to open up the tortilla and basically ate it as a salad. For the money 8.99 with chips and salsa it was a pretty good deal. I'm not sure how fresh everything was. The chicken seemed like it was reheated and not grilled. I did not see any grill marks. Overall, it was an ok experience. I probably wouldn't rush right back.

I should have believed the reviews. The only way you could like the food is if you don't like Mexican food (or maybe even food at all). The chips were slightly stale and over salted (which probably means they were from the bottom of whatever vat they were being stored in), the salsa was ridiculously bland (think tomato sauce with some garlic powder), and the food was equally bland. I had the Baja fish tacos (fried fish tacos)--big mistake. They are supposed to be mahi-mahi, but a couple of bites tasted a little fishy, which is not normal for mahi-mahi. They were way over-battered, so the batter on the inside of the taco was soggy by the time they arrived. The black beans and rice were, you guessed it, bland. My companion had the three-cheese enchiladas. Not much better. Still a little lacking in the taste department, but so much better than the fish tacos, and the regrows beans that came with the enchiladas, not very good. How can you not get regrows beans right‽ We didn't experience the service problems others have complained about, but it was 11:30 AM on a Sunday, and we were the only ones there. The food is way over priced, but that would have been true at almost any price. There's no reason to go here for the food. I can't comment on the bar scene--it was 11:30 AM on a Sunday--but I'm sure there are hopping bars on Main St Middleton with good food.

The burritos were delicious. The margaritas we had were just so-so compared to other Mexican restaurants we frequent.

This food there was awful. We ordered the special which was anything but special. The short ribs was over cooked and rubbery. The mixed veggies was also soggy and over cooked. The only good thing on the plate was the mash potatoes. This was our first time coming here and sadly it will be our last. The drinks are pretty decent but overpriced. Don't waste your money coming here for good food. There are so many other places in the area to go to. I wanted to give them a try and now wish I went somewhere else.

Come here first the great margaritas, the indoor waterfall or the outdoor seating, but the rest is ehhhhh. Dinner is just OK, I mean standard Mexican restaurant Chips kept flowing which is always a plus. Service was actually great for dinner , but as the night gets busy trying to find a bartender for a drink is tough. The waiter accommodated our gluten free friend By making a special quesadilla which was really sweet. The real icing on the cake is the bathrooms... this is where all hope of a solid 3 star review was lost. WTF neither of the stalls lock and both are swinging doors. The handicap literally has a foot gap wide enough to see exactly what is going on in there. Honestly if I was blackout wasted off the margaritas I wouldn't care, but as a dinner establishment this is not acceptable.

Another great visit at La Boca. Beer, nachos, great service. Stayed in the bar, not too loud.
