4.5 but rounding up Paella Valenciana — The flavor was delicious. I especially loved the rice and shrimp. This was my first time to ever try paella so I’m not sure if the ratios were normal. There were only 3 pieces of shrimp in the whole paella (We got a small.) There was plenty of chicken, oysters, and sausage. The chicken was a tad bit overdone but okay. For my own personal preference, I would have liked more shrimp and fewer oysters. Croquetas — Delicious, I didn’t know what to expect, but I loved it. Dates — my favorite! Everything about these was perfect for me. The restaurant itself is very nice. I love the paintings, decor, and the whole vibe. Servers were great! We’re here on vacation, but I would come back and recommend it to others.

Stopped in for lunch with a friend after this spot was recommended to me. It was a unique experience with the tapas, but they didn’t disappoint. The chicken skewer tapas & the shrimp tapas were definitely my favorite. The churos were also to die for!!

First time while visiting KC came on a recommendation from someone who used to live in KC and it did not disappoint. Spanish coffee is quite the presentation, the Brussel sprout special was delicious, the meatballs were great and the pistachio and chocolate crepes were wonderful. Overall a great meal shared. The only downside was the volume, it was a little loud in the small restaurant, but overall can’t complain about our experience. There is no parking lot, you will have to find street parking.

Google
I don't usually comment too much but I wanted to comment on this restaurant with a score of 4.5 and many reviews. A seafood restaurant where shrimp is wrapped in bacon is not very stylish. On the other hand, I ordered octopus as a main course but it would be more accurate to call it a potato dish. As a Spanish restaurant, this place definitely doesn't deserve more than 1 point in terms of taste. I feel sorry for those who are not in Europe and eat this as Spanish food. this is not a spanish food my friends

I visited on my birthday! I had a phenomenal experience. The restaurant has ample interior and exterior seating. The decor was warm and vibrant. The host was prompt and professional. I was seated by the window looking out onto a busy blvd with lots of natural light streaming in. My server, Lauren, made the experience what is was. Lauren was charismatic, personable, and knowledgeable about the specials and normal menu items The food was delicious. The mocktail was perfect. My creme brulee served ss a birthday dessert 😊😁

Google
Manager and waitreses very nice. As a Spaniard, I was excited about this place cooking Spanish dishes, but also I was very picky because I know my country's gastronomy very well. All I can say is that they took me on a mental trip to my country. The "croquetas" were a little bit over fried. They didn't have "jamón y queso" taste. The "mejillones con chorizo" had little pearls, meaning they could be more clean. The asparragus cream was too salty. I missed more Sevillian popular dishes just because Kansas City is twinned with my hometown city.

We had a great date there and really enjoy all the tapas. For sure gonna come back. Service was excellent and they have a fun wine list.

Google
I loved the variety of food. All the food items were delicious. The prices are reasonable. The setting was very friendly. There is enough space for large groups. For dessert, I recommend the churros. My group tried the pincho of pollo &chorizo, tortilla española and the pimientos. The front view is very beautiful. All was great! Will add additional pictures at a later time.

Yelp
I can't stop thinking about the food and vibes at La Bodega. I drive by here often and had been wanting to sit on their outdoor patio. It finally happened. The patio vibes were immaculate. Our server was so welcoming and helpful in navigating the menu. We went with most of his recommendations and were not disappointed. Be prepared to EAT. Drinks were delicious as well. Definitely check La Bodega out during a night out. Street parking.

Yelp
Tapas! Tapas! Spanish style dining 1. Gambia's Al Ajillo: garlic shrimps in an olive oil sauce served with mini baguettes 2. Papayas Bravas: potatoes sauced in tomato sauce flavored with garlic, sugar, vinegar and other delicious spices, not very spicy which was fine! These were really flavorful. Came out initially very lukewarm so they had to be remade or warmed up. 3. Esperrogos Y Salmon Ahumsfo - cold dish where salmon wrapped around asparagus with eggs and grape tomatoes garnishing the dish... Beverage of choice: Spanish Negroni, powerful Spanish gin, vermouth and Italian spirtz... completely fresh, smoky flavor... very nice served with our meal!

Yelp
A great menu. Options for all kinds of tastes. Service was fast, friendly, and efficient. I love the decor, and the seating was nice. A little noisy at the start as there was a boisterous group nearby. Much nicer after they left.

Yelp
What a cool eclectic place! I drive by it often and don't notice it due to the location and small building. But I was super impressed with the ambiance, menu, service and food! This is a small plates tapas restaurant. There were 5 of us and we all ordered 2 plates and shared. We started with a meat and cheese board that was delicious. And enjoyed the 2 potato options as well as the screens of chicken and sausage, and my favorite was the pulled pork and olive tapenade on toast. Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Haven't been here in a while and it was just as great as I remember! The natural light in a beautiful day made for an amazing vibe. Service was on point and the food and drink impeccable.

Yelp
This was not the first time that we were visiting this place. We've been here at multiple locations with different group of people, but I strongly recommend that you come with more than four people to get a taste of a lot of items from the menu. Couple of things that caught my attention was that the plate size was bigger than the traditional Tapas style. There are two different types of potato that you could find there one with a creamy, tomato base and garlic aïoli base. Both of them were outstanding. Make sure you try their chicken skewers with chorizo. They're super good. Their sangria was magical and make sure you get your hands on the paellas. They are super good. They lost a star just because the paella was little dry and was salty.. OK We made a reservation before so we made sure we arrived there 10 minutes before and find the right table. The parking was below the bridge which was reserved for the restaurant, and the people inside were super friendly. We were always being checked on and they gave us multiple small plates to keep the pallet clean . This place offers a really good ambience, a Spanish style interiors one of the best times you can enjoy this place during the summers because you have an outdoor seating and they have a really cool vibe out there too .

Yelp
We only got to one restaurant for KC restaurant week this year but we picked a good one. We opted for brunch and started with a sangria. Starters were the soup of the day and patatas bravas. The soup of the day was tomato basil. It was good but The patatas bravas were really good in the tomato sauce with jalapeños and sour cream. I'd definitely get those again. For entrees we opted for the Tapas sampler and the salmone con arroz. The salmon con arroz consisted of Seared salmon, saffron rice, sauteed spinach, roasted tomato, avocado, and salsa verde. It was very light and fresh with perfectly cooked salmon. The tapas sampler had a lot of little bites: pinchi de pollo con chorizo-Skewered chicken and chorizo, garlic-cumin aioli; tortilla espanola-Potato and onion filled egg torta, red pepper aioli; manchego frito-Fried, breaded Manchego cheese, quince preserves; higos y queso de cabra-Goat cheese, roasted peppers, fig coulis, grilled baguette; and datiles con jamon y chorizo-Chorizo stuffed date wrapped in pancetta. I definitely want to go back to try the Cuban. And more sangria!

Yelp
I used to live in the Crossroads Westside apartment. We always talked about walking over to try the food because of all the positive reviews. And they have the cutest patio. But sadly, we never made it over. When we saw this on Kansas City Restaurant Week 2024. We had no excuse but to take advantage of their $20 menu. The restaurant itself is beautiful. Liam really took care of is. He was attentive and personal. We ordered patatas bravas, and it was so good. Potatoes were cooked perfectly and crisp. I am not sure what the sauce is. But it complimented the potato really well. For 2 course, I got the tapas sampler. The sampler was a good option for first time diner because you got to try a few item of the tapas. The bruschetta was definitely my favorite of the 5 items. I was too full from the patatas bravas to finish the sampler. Overall, I had a great experience and will definitely be back.

Yelp
Lots of seating, and this place is usually pretty busy. They have both outdoor and indoor seating, with variety of tables. The interior is a bit more dim lit which provides a cozier ambiance. Our server was very helpful in providing recommendations and explaining the menu, along with popular dishes and drinks. Decided to go with the seared scallops - these were great. The scallops were well seared, and the base was creamy, smooth, well flavored and paired well with the scallop. Only wish there were more! The paella left more to be desired - it was somewhat dry, and the single lemon did little to improve it. Chicken in the paella tasted also dry and somewhat bland, and the shellfish were also a bit lacking in flavor and tasted somewhat old. Overall, presentation of the food was nice, but some dishes seem definitely better than others. The food was somewhat pricey for the quality of the food in my opinion. The restaurant gives off elevated vibes and prices their dishes similarly, but I was expecting more. I'd considered returning to try out some of their other dishes, but overall an average experience.

Yelp
Food was delicious. They serve tapas so all the portions are a little small. Me and my boyfriend split 2 hot tapas and 1 cold tapas. The food is so flavorful and genuinely delicious. Our waitress Mara was fantastic and super insightful. She helped us pick out what we wanted. Everything was delicious. The only negative part was the hostess. She had a very unwelcoming attitude and seemed to look me up and down while we were walking out. I felt very rushed out of there, or like I wasn't "cool" enough to be in there. I don't often feel like that but she had a very mean girl / high school judgmental attitude. My boyfriend and I both agreed we probably won't be returning because of the vibe we felt from her. Very unwelcoming. Good food tho. And Mara was great.

Yelp
Our waitress was great and attentive. This place gets pretty packed for brunch. I think the brunch items were all delicious, I would probably eat from the regular menu next time. I would come back again. Also the artwork on the wall was cool and interesting. Some not suitable for kids.

Yelp
I'm in town on business and the food was delicious!! It was a group of 7 of us and we spilt several appetizers and it was yummy!

Yelp
A while back for my friend's bachelorette party we stopped in for brunch with the bridal party. We loved the family style dishes which were absolutely delicious. This is an amazing spot for large groups. In the warmer months the patio dining area is gorgeous. Will have to come back sometime soon to try their dinner menu.

Yelp
As someone who loves to order off the appetizer/sides list on menus, this Spanish tapas restaurant is right up my alley. Perfect for those who like to try a little bit of everything , and/or like to share and split meals without committing to giant portions. If the weather permits, try to snag a spot out front - the vibe is just right, with comfortable lounge/patio-like seating arrangements. This is a great place to go with a group of friends - you can choose from a surplus of hot or chilled tapas (small dishes), plus soups, salads, cheeses, and meats and share with the whole group. Happy hour deals are pretty great as well! $7 tapas, half priced sangria glasses and pitchers, and some $6 glasses of wine. I really enjoyed the ensalada de mariscos (citrus marinated seafood), elotes (charred corn with cheese and smoked paprika), Patatas bravas (spicy potatoes in sauce), and alcachofas con jamon y manchego (fried Spanish artichokes with ham and cheese). The red and white sangrias were light and refreshing additions to the meal. Save room for dessert! The churros are delicious. One visit, our server suggested a drink pairing (wish I could remember the drink name) which did not disappoint. Rich, decadent, and the perfect cap to a delicious meal. Consistent, great service, delicious food & drinks, and the best ambiance!

Yelp
One of the best patios in the city and parking is so easy! Great place to meet up with friends for happy hour (sangria specials- um I think, yes!!), share a few tapas and enjoy the ambiance. I will say my friend and I ordered three tapas and were full! Ask about portion sizes before diving into a ton of tapas, although, they were all amazing with such unique flavors!!
google avatar

Jessica B.

Yelp
Menu changes since my last post, so new faves: - grilled beef tenderloin with a blue cheese crust - lightly fried artichokes with a to die for manchego cheese sauce and crispy jamon - stuffed dates and papas fritas (still!) The lardo iberico was literally the fatty part of jamon seared to the top of a baguette slice. Just ok to me. And they used to do fresh baguette service but this time we only got sort of stale slices with olive oil drizzle (or grilled for the mussels). Oh and the mushrooms are delightful: like the preparation for escargot but for mushrooms. Friendly service (a bit fast paced given the small tables) and a lovely bottle of wine. We live the vibe here and will keep coming back!

Yelp
Had an unplanned visit due to an unfortunate family event and couldn't get a table for a highly rated French restaurant. I snagged a last minute reservation for this Spanish restaurant instead. I truly did not have high expectations coming in thinking that this city is more known for their barbecue than their Spanish restaurants. I ordered a cocktail, albondigas caseras and gambas ajillo. I was only there to eat and run because I was waiting for family to arrive from their flight in to town. I thought it would take me longer to eat but I practically inhaled both tapas because they were so good. I was in for a very sad occasion, but the smile on my face from the albondigas and my entire experience here was much needed. I wish I could transport the albondigas here and I've since tried to replicate them at home because they were that delicious!! Thank you so much for the good food and the smile when I was feeling out of sorts. Con mucho amor!!

Yelp
The hostess Elizabeth was very friendly and attentive. She worked to get us in despite not having a reservation. The food was great, as always; the Queso de Cabra (my fav) which we ate with the garlic bread that we tried for the first time. The beef tenderloin was even better than usual- the topping is so fantastic. The restaurant is a good mix of cool art and bustling staff who make it a fun place to eat.

Yelp
Came here for a special happy hour celebration for my besties birthday. The two things that were memorable were the elotes and the Spanish coffee. The food was overall 3 stars because of the blandness. It was served hot and fresh, it just needed more flavor. Service and ambiance was 4.5 stars. The elotes corn dish was to die for. It was so inspiring that my friend talked about how she is going to make it soon. And the Spanish coffee is just super special. She'd never had it, so I knew she had to see it. Once she read the description, she wanted one too. She loved it. As she said, "it's a drink with a show." So there were some things that were disappointing. The baked goat cheese was very underwhelming. It's literally bland salsa and plain goat cheese with crostinis. There is no spice. That means the cheese has no flavor. It was extremely boring. Could have been good, if only the cheese had been given some seasoning. The mushrooms were just ok. For $9, I expected way more flavor. This is on the regular menu. It's served with bits of garlic that tastes and chews as if completely raw. If only it had been roasted garlic, it would have been so much better. The shrooms I had cooked at home the night before were way better, but to be fair, my mushrooms are amazing so my bar was set pretty high. The steak with blue cheese was good (regular menu). It was cooked perfectly medium, as we ordered. Was it market price of $35 good? No, not really. But it was an experience. Service was excellent as we were there at 3pm on a Monday. There was only one other table occupied inside. And the floral arrangement in the entryway was breathtaking. It's a special occasion place and I'm glad that I could make my best friends birthday very special. I may be back for cocktails sometime and I'll stick to the happy hour menu.

Yelp
We went to happy hour 2-5pm, we got so many different items I couldn't keep up. But the sangria was amazing! The red is a little drier than the white sangria. But both are delicious! Service was quick and friendly. My server answered all the questions I had! The restaurant was nicely decorated and clean. I would definitely be coming backs

Yelp
Perfectly and freshly prepared menu items that just called on Spain! Absolutely delicious, charming surroundings and immaculate service. Luke and Megan made La Bodega totally memorable with their charm and polite kindness

Yelp
You can't go wrong with a visit to La Bodega! There are various tapas to select from, and the skewered chicken and chorizo was great--- juicy and flavorful. The restaurant creates a vibrant, lively atmosphere and is a great place for happy hour. It is a bit loud and echoey, but that just plays into the experience!
google avatar

Jennie L.

Yelp
Normally, when I leave la bodega I'm always craving more. However, when I went this last time - the food was saltier then I could imagine and the service was impeccably slow. The only consistent item we ordered was the sangria and the coffee drink! We moved from our table to go to the bar to get better service and thankfully we did cause our bartender put on a show, made great drinks, and really turned our experience around.
google avatar

Jordyn M.

Yelp
Wonderful ambiance and amazing staff! Our waitress was very friendly. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because I wished there was a dish with chips and the margarita I had was very sour. But if you're not hoping to get either of those, you'll be set! The Spanish coffee is made at the table and was delicious!
google avatar

Brekay C.

Yelp
Finally tried out La Bodega. The food was delicious and the drinks were fine. This was enough food for two people .

Emma M.

Yelp
Our server Andy was incredible. Very helpful and kind. The woman who was the manager on duty however was very rude. We saw on another website different happy hour times and when we asked about it she came over to our table and demanded us to prove it. If felt like our entire table was being scolded. Even the server had to apologize for her behavior. If she had just said, "I'm sorry, our happy hour changed and is only on the weekdays" that would've been totally fine. I'm glad she wasn't in the kitchen... Food was good! Our favorite was the date dish with goat cheese on the side. Super great restaurant and ambience, the manager was the one who made the experience lack luster.

Yelp
Loved everything about La Bodega. From ambience to food. You'll feel like you're transported to Spain. This is the type of restaurant that stirs conversations. Love the Spain life motto of sharing dishes and stories. Decor : So beautifully well done. The color story felt intimate. (It really reminded me of Italy. ) Space: It's got outdoor and indoor seating but during the winter season they close the patio. I encourage you to definitely make a reservation because the restaurant is quite small. There are high tops and low tops. Parking : Tricky...there is some parking under the bridge and across the street. With the location on a busy street just look before you cross. Food : Elotes 10/10, Paella Valencia 10/10 (we ordered a small and that was great for 3 ppl) , Solomillo con Cabrales 8/10, Higos y Queso de Cabra 10/10 Drinks: I had the Vermouth Flight and it was perfect for me. I wish I would have tried something else but everyone loved their sangria.

Yelp
La Bodega is a go-to for me - especially when it comes to large groups. They accommodated our group of 20 from 5:30p-8:30pm on Saturday, July 9 with a $45 minimum per person (including food AND beverages). We submitted a pre-order to ensure we were served in a timely manner. But we were able to add items once we arrived. Final headcount was due 3 days prior to our reservation and they allowed us to split our check 4 ways. Some of my favorite tapas are: papas fritas con ajo, albondigas caseras, elotes and gambas a la plancha. Don't sleep on their happy hour (from 2-6pm) and sangria!
google avatar

Yelp
Great place to share with family/friends. Excellent variety of small plates, all of which were wonderful! Unique drink menu; the Sangria was delicious. Great service and unique atmosphere. We'll definitely be back

Yelp
Went for my mother's 93rd birthday and it was fantastic. The paella was amazing. Such great service and in a cool old building on SW Boulevard. Great dining experience.

Yelp
While in Kansas City I had a chance to check out La Bodega on a Friday night. We did not have a reservation and it was a lot of people there so we had to sit at the bar which was fine. We ordered their speciality sangria which was a combination of sangria and margarita. It was good! We ordered several tapas and shared them. The food was all delicious and came out rather quickly. The service was great as well!
google avatar

Rachel J.

Yelp
I absolutely love tapas and La Bodega definitely hit the mark for me. Everything I tried was delicious and flavorful. The Croquetas were crispy with a savory filling. The Papas Fritas were well seasoned with delicious yogurt sauce balancing out all the flavors. The Higos y queso de cabra was my favorite dish I tried. The goat cheese paired so well with the peppers and fig spread. It was light and airy, perfect for a warm day. The sangria was half off on Sunday which was a huge plus. Our waitress was so kind and helpful. The restaurant itself gives you the impression that you are actually in Spain with how well it was decorated and furnished. I will 100% be returning and could not recommend this lovely restaurant enough!

Yelp
This place is always good, they have great tapas and drinks as. They also have a good happy hour menu. This is a great place to come with a group and order a little bit of everything.

Yelp
I'm passionate about a good tapas place after being in Spain many times. So visiting here for the first time, I decided to stick to Tapas. All great choices, croquetas de jamón, fried artichoke with ibérico ham, scallops and mussels with chorizo, to die for!! Kristin was our server, nice, friendly and the restaurant atmosphere, in winter time, very cozy. Would definitely repeat the visit in summer time. Enjoy your visit, excellent food!

Yelp
La Bodega is one of our favorite places to eat in Kansas City. Amazing, authentic, Spanish food that just fills you with so much warmth and comfort. Weve been going for years. Its our go to place for birthdays, anniversaries, and any other celebration. They are known best for their topas. We love to order a whole bunch for the table, and get a little sample of everything, and serve it up family style. I couldnt recommend this place more!
google avatar

Marjorie G.

Yelp
Didn't have reservations but we were able to sit at the bar. What a great experience! We had several people assist, answer questions, make suggestions and entertain. Although 4 of us sat at the bar, we were still able to have a cozy conversation between us. The food . . . phenomenal. Our favorites: Pintxo de Pollo y Chirizo, Papas Fritos . . . honestly, tapas- try them all. Oh! The sangrias are the best.
google avatar

Amanda D.

Yelp
I love everything about this place. The vibe is so cozy and cute, very comfortable. The service is wonderful. The food is incredible! If you don't mind sharing food, go here and order like two tapas per head. My favorites are the short ribs, mushrooms, and scallops.

Yelp
We haven't been to a tapas place in quite a long time since Covid closed the one in Leawood. We didn't even know this La Bodega existed until I came across it on Yelp. Glad we found it! People were dressed casual until 6pm rolled around. Parking can be hard to find if you come after 6:pm on a weekend. We went yesterday around 5:30pm. The parking is right across the street from the restaurant. When you walk up to get to the door entrance, there's lots of patio seatings outside. We finally found the entrance, and was greeted by a smiling hostess. Now mind you we didn't have any reservations, but was able to get seating outside on the patio right away. If we wanted inside, there are bar tops. But just listening to the hostess talk to other guests, there would be a wait if you want to sit inside without reservations. The ambiance is so relaxing and super cute. The hostess we had was so friendly and patient with us since we haven't been to this location before. She told us this La Bodega is the first location they opened in KC. Anyways, we ordered 4 different dishes, and they were pretty good. I totally forgot the names of them, but I did take pictures! Lol! The shrimp plate that we ordered was $16, and I thought that was a little bit excessive for the price. It was tasty though. Other than that, the other plates we ordered was priced ok. The 2 drinks I ordered were the margarita and white sangria. So good! This place has great drinks, good food, amazing service, and great ambiance. We will definitely frequent this place often when the weather is nice outside. We will come try out their happy hour which is from Monday to Friday from 2pm - 5:pm. Sundays are half off sangrias all day.

Yelp
Loved this place. I have to come back when its not 20 degrees so I can experience the patio, but the inside was warm, cozy and has lots of character. I had the calamari, it came with a red sauce and on top of bread it was the Calamari Romesco with seared calamari in red sauce, capers, golden raisins and spanish olives. It could've used more flavor, it was bland, but the calamari was cooked well. The I ordered the Paella Valenciana with chicken, mussels, clams, shrimp, chorizo and string beans. It was very tasty. Just make sure if you order this place it early, because it does take them a while to make the Paella. My two friends placed their own order and I didn't get to sample theirs but it looked good. To end my meal I ordered the Spanish Coffee. It had Liquor, Rum, Flamed Cinnamon and Sugar and house made whip cream. It was heavenly. They usually make it at the table but I think they were busy and couldn't do it but I saw them make it at the bar. As for the service everyone was nice. I felt bad for the server because I think she was all alone. Our cups weren't filled out as often. And I came in with a gift certificate. When I gave it to her, her whole demeanor changed and I could tell she was annoyed...we tipped her well, so not sure what that was about. I did enjoy my experience, I gave it three stars because I think the food could've used more flavor and the waitress attitude when I pulled out my gift certificate kinda took me aback. Overall I will come back. It was a nice cute place.

Yelp
I haven't been to Spain yet, but La Bodega bumped it up to the top of my bucket list after having such delicious tapas here. Happy hour is so worth it. This is definitely one of my favorites in Kansas City. I don't know if there is specifically designated parking, but there's parking under the freeway overpass. After happy hour, the place filled up pretty quickly and I can see why you'd need a reservation. Our server was attentive and great. He also let us know when happy hour was almost over so we could make any last orders. Embutidos mixtos ($6): The sausage variety was fantastic and all the meats were really good, especially when I saved them to have with the other tapas. I didn't love the flavor of the curtido which had too strong of an oregano (?) flavor for me. Elotes ($6): I have tried what Kansas Citians call elote and have been disappointed every single time...until now. I grew up in the suburbs of LA where we actually had lots of proper elote men and women, so I really missed it. The bar is low for good elote in Kansas City, so the elote here was like comparing diamonds to dirt. Highly recommended. Papas fritas con ajo ($6): This was one of my favorite things. I hate cooking potatoes at home and this sounded pretty similar to patatas bravas. So good. Queso de cabra al horno ($6): I love goat cheese and I loved this dish. I'm going to see if I can convince my non-goat cheese loving friends to try this and change their minds about it. Albondigas caseras ($6): They were good, but they weren't amazing compared to other things for happy hour. Wouldn't try again. Croquetas de jamon y queso ($9.50): I love a good croquette and this didn't disappoint. Alcachofas con jamon y manchego ($14): Fried artichoke hearts were delicious. They weren't tough to chew and sort of reminded me of squash blossoms.

Yelp
My wife and I dropped in for a special occasion dinner on the way to attend a SCOTS concert at Knuckleheads. We were blown away by the kind service and hospitable atmosphere. We enjoyed the house social blood orange sangria, an Iberico queso (cheese) starter, followed by a Shrimp-Salmon-Artichoke paella. Lastly, we wrapped up dinner with one of the best espressos I've had outside of Europe and an olive oil layer cake. Marvalisso!!!

Yelp
This place was absolutely exceptional! We didn't have a reservation on a Sunday & it was packed but luckily we found two seats at the bar. Service was amazing thanks to our hostess & awesome bartender (shout out to Dani & Elizabeth) for making our experience so wonderful. They gave great recommendations & the food was incredible. Our favorite was the fried artichokes & brotxeta. You also can't go wrong with any of the shrimp dishes. We also loved the sangria so much we ordered a pitcher since it was half off for happy hour! A must try place in Kansas City!

Yelp
Yum! Haven't had veggie paella before. This is a great Friday night spot with a big group. We split all the vegetarian tapas including salads, papas, olives and more the sangria pictures were great.

Yelp
This place is fantastic! Every time I've come here I've enjoyed my experience. The restaurant is darling and always well kept. We came here for my sisters 30th birthday and the server was nice enough to put the ice cream cake back in their freezer till we were ready to eat it. I love that their menu focuses on tapas so that you can experience many different plates and tastes. They're also generous sizes too so you can share! They have good vegetarian/vegan and pescatarian options. Great place is you're looking for some authentic Spanish tapas and amazing cocktails! They have happy hours on Mondays for their cocktails so def have to hit them up on Mondays! Their drink specials are always delicious - you won't be disappointed! Highly recommend for folks who are looking for a unique restaurant in the Kansas City area!

Yelp
La Bodega is the GOAT in terms of tapas bars in KC. Here's why: 1. One of the best happy hours in the city 2. Sangria on fleek I used to live in Barcelona and this is my spot when I'm feeling homesick for Patatas Bravas. The only "con" is that the tables can be really close together. I have a big booty so I have almost knocked over many a pitcher of sangria here.... To overcome this, I always make a reservation and request a table for "full size adults".... It helps. :)

Yelp
Ironically, I've heard this is one of the best restaurants in town and I couldn't disagree more. Food was average and over priced. The hostess tried to deny us service because we didn't have a reservation. We booked a reservation on our phones right in front of her and she begrudgingly gave us a table in an almost empty restaurant. Don't worry, you won't have the pleasure of denying us service over a unnecessary reservation in your empty restaurant cause we won't ever be back.

Yelp
I love the atmosphere and ambiance of the restaurant. It's a great place to dine in with friends or maybe even a lover! The food and drinks were delicious and refreshing. I would definitely come back and try new things in the menu. Also the service was great and friendly.

Yelp
My family and I have been going here for years. This is a place that we find close to home. I can't give the exact items that we order, because we've tried it all. And quite frankly we love it all. Enough said.

Yelp
Food is or die for!!! Scallops are amazing, as well as everything else on the menu. Can't wait to come back!
