La Bolognina - Review - Neukölln - Berlin - The Infatuation

"There’s a local Neukölln legend that if you close your eyes and say ragu three times while eating La Bolognina’s sausage tagliatelle, you teleport to a Bolognese trattoria. Well, not quite, but maybe if you squint hard and drink enough of their offensively cheap house wine. This intimate neighbourhood spot is perfect for a romantic dinner or an overdue catch-up over plates of fresh pasta. La Bolognina is best enjoyed outside on Donaustraße, clashing forks with a friend or a lover as you twirl the zesty pistachio pesto tagliatelle with burrata in synchrony. The special is usually the most interesting thing on the menu (we recently had strozzapreti with clams) so add it to the mix before continuing the night in one of nearby Weserstraße’s bars." - Olivia Ladanyi

What a wonderful little Restaurant in Berlin Kreuzberg. We had very nice service and amazing handmade and fresh pasta. Basic Sauces but just delicious. Prices are very fair for the exceptional quality. It was possible to pay by card. If you're looking for some great pasta I really can recommend this :)

The pasta was fresh and delicious, but the portions were too small for the price. I paid €14 for this plate, and we all ended up going to another restaurant for a second dinner. Would definitely give it a 5/5 if we try it again and the portions are bigger.

Delicious family-style Italian with fresh pasta and helpful staff. The food is simple and tasty, with fresh ingredients being the key feature, as Italian cuisine is supposed to be. Also reasonable prices. Highly recommended!

Dishes look beautiful, the place is intimate and warm, but the food tastes suprisingly average. Waitress was quite rude and not accomodating, focused on chatting with a friend, she forgot our drinks while we were the only people there, and had an attitude from the start, so we decided we’re better off getting them elsewhere. Will be giving it another chance tho

Google
Enjoyed the place! Waited a bit until we could order, but all fine. Dishes and drinks came super fast. Expected more from the pistachio pasta but the truffle butter delivered. 🤝 Unfortunaltey not the best Tiramisu so still out on the never ending quest to find a tasty tiramisu in Berlin.

To be frank, I found the Stasi Museum a more uplifting place. With so many good, authentic Italian eateries in the vicinity, you’ll be better served by going elsewhere.

Yelp
Excellent homemade pasta and ravioli. I have tried both there. Very inexpensive dishes (€5-7) and with a €2 house wine it makes a perfect lunch place. The portion may be small, but they were both fairly filling. The place has a few tables in the back and 2 benches/boxes outside in the front, so the sitting places are pretty limited. You can also do take out or buy the pasta to cook at home.

Yelp
The portion served was way too small for the price. Rather, go to Vira Pasta on Warschauer Str which is a far better deal--6€ for a big tasty dish.

Yelp
Incredible food. The most delicious pasta and piadina, and gigantic liter bottles of a good house red. In addition to dinner you can also buy pasta, fresh cheese, and olive oil from the owner's uncle. Improbably inexpensive, especially for the quality. I want to go back to Berlin just to eat here as much as possible. Oh, and the staff were incredibly friendly and fun. They set up boxes for us to eat out on the sidewalk, which was great. No "real" seating for diners, just some tables and boxes on the sidewalk -- maybe they make accommodations when the weather isn't nice, but on my night there it was perfect.

Yelp
Amazing food and wine, you feel like in a real Italian restaurant. I was super happy with everything BUT and here comes the bitter end: the service is horribly sexist not respecting the rights of female customers: when it came to payment we asked for the bill and the waiter cracked the shittiest joke ever to my girlfriend: that he might prefer to go inside to a dark corner to arrange the "bill". We were shocked and our nice evening was destroyed. Such a pity.

Yelp
This just ticks all the boxes for lunch - 3 variations of fresh pasta at €5 each, decent sized portions served with excellent quality olive oil, friendly service. They open at noon, it's pretty small so getting a table could well be a challenge at peak times. That won't put me off - destined to be a regular.

Yelp
Half-cold, half-full carton of food for the full price. Not cool. Don't use foodora for delivery or they'll charge you double.
