All the Best Places to Eat Haitian Food in Montreal | Bon Appétit
"This small take-out restaurant offers traditional Haitian dishes like lalo, griot, and cabrit. Notably delicious is the légumes et boeuf, a comfort mix of richness and spice." - ByTerence Trouillot
The Acras were very small and very expensive. The flavour was there but no salt and very flowery so they were not fried properly. The plantains were great in size and well fried but they had no salt. The sauce was good but missing salt. The pikliz was great not too spicy not too vinegary just enough. The griot could have been better seasoned and fried but it was well cooked so it was not tough , it was tender just not crispy.

My brother, my son and I wanted to try out this spot, but although Google Maps said it was open, it was closed when we got there. This is the second time we have tried to visit when we come to Montreal to visit family. I hope this issue improves. I got a look at the restaurant, and the art on the wall looks great. Hope we can see it from inside soon.

It's not terrible but you can find way better griot for much cheaper pretty much anywhere in Montreal North. If you don't want to go that far you could always just stop on Beaubien. I found the griot dry and the broth plain. On the up side the service was fast and welcoming. Great place to eat if you prefer bland food.

The food is not good as the name suggests. It didn't taste very fresh. Also I saw their delivery guy picking up cans in the alley behind bourbonniere. Honestly if you want good Haitian food in Hochelaga go to Bistro King Creole.

Terrible experience! Very rude customer service, waited over 1.5 hr for delivery I ordered a plate of extra legumes, received a prune sized portion and was charged $7 for it, called to clarify and received a "sigh while I talk.... so over it attitude". Will NEVER order from there again.Do yourself a hit up a bowl a cereal if you have no other options

This is one of those places when you get your order you can't believe how bad it is. It's not fresh. Creole food is delicious, but this place will try and get away with giving you old stuff and hoping you're drunk and won't notice it. Avoid this place. It's likely upper management problems.

Everything was absolutely delicious (on par with Bistro King Creole) and was excellent value. Not sure why there's so many bad reviews. Will definitely be back.

Yelp
I will admit that this review has nothing to do with how good or bad the food is. It's about the actual place. This was my third time calling them to see if i can order some food. And once again...NOTHING!!!
Mind you that all the times that i called was during their opening hours. So, i would expect being able to get something right? Wrong! The first time, a man answered and tells me that they'll be opening at 1 pm and told me to call back. I did and no one was there to pick up. The second time i called was around 5 pm to put an order in for diner. I was ready to drive there to get the food. They were out of food and that, on a Thursday afternoon! This time i called at noon and told the person that i wanted to try and order a plate for diner (i figured i would give them 6-7 hours of prep time) and that i was going to come pick it up. This time's response was that they didn't know if the cook was going to show up. They suggested me to call on Monday. Now that's it! I am DONE. It's not like if we were lacking good restaurants and good Haitian/creole restaurants here in town. They lost my vote :/
Too bad for them
