La Brianza

"Chef Okuno plots Japanese ingredients onto local cuisines he studied in Italy. Meat raised in Japan – with production regions and brands written on the menu – is char-grilled. The key to the flavour of the Roman-style carbonara is the eggs, which are carefully selected down to the individual farm. Soft-boiled eggs are also vital to the Piedmont gratin-style truffles, shaved for the customer at the table. Authentically prepared seasonings interweave with the unique character of each ingredient." - Michelin Inspector

OCT 2024 Visited here for lunch and had the La Brianza Special. Started off with two bite size appetizers (fig with stracciatella and seaweed ball), both were very tasty. For the antipasto, the yellowtail carpaccio paired with the pickled sweet onion was refreshing, and the deep fried mussel with the prosciutto and herb paste was delicious; wish there was more of the couscous as it was literally one spoon's worth. The freshly baked signature egg gratin was creamy and delightful with the added shaved truffle. The pasta was their take on cacio e pepe, topped with mushrooms and porchetta; pretty tasty with a unique sharp pink peppercorn flavor, though maybe overpowering the cheese a bit. For the secondo, it was upgraded to aged beef sirloin which had a pretty intense depth of flavor and was tender but it would have been better if the meat was seared a bit more. Dessert was ice cream with poached pear, caramel sauce and puff pastry which was nice and sweet. Overall it was a tasty meal at an affordable price, and the service was good with the staffs being helpful and taking the time to explain the dishes.

I visited this restaurant on a Friday evening and ordered the ‘Regionale,’ an 8-course Italian regional cuisine menu. Every dish was delightful, and I was thoroughly satisfied with the experience. The highlight was definitely the main course, a perfectly cooked sirloin that was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this place for special occasions like anniversaries

A very French-y Italian at the residential part of Roppongi Hills. The reasonable 8,800yen course comes with 9 dishes (incl. amuse bouche) and were really nicely executed but nothing was a mind-blower (it doesn't have to be but usually there is a dish that will leave an incredible impact on me). I was alone and was seated at the bar seat where you can see the entire kitchen in action (was nice).

The restaurant is located in Roppongi Hills Residence C! The beautiful blue chairs in the restaurant are eye-catching! If you visit the restaurant with your loved one, you will be able to enjoy a wonderful meal in close proximity! I personally recommend the truffle gratin and carbonara! For dessert, the tiramisu was delicious!

A bib gourmand restaurant in the Micheline guide. The 6000 yen course was not bad considering the price, but with few issues. They served a whale carpaccio which it's taste was ok but in a small lump. A lumpy carpaccion is a first thing in my life. Their fish dish with coconut milk were off with a super sweet taste therefrom. Dodgy service throughout. For some reason, out amuze bouche and bread was skipped, not that that was the main reason for insuficient service standards. Poor English only speaking in mixed Japanese and English.

Only provides course meals, the cheapest being 3000yen. We came for the carbonara and was very satisfied. Would be nice if they had ala carte as well. Make sure to dress smartly when you dine here or you make look out of place 😅 (true story)

Who gave high review for this resto?! Or the chef has been changed?! Unprofessional service with boring food, ruined my anniversary dinner💔 Mediocre restaurant, doesn’t worth the money

The food was not bad, but not enough amount. I felt like the servers are not well prepared because some of them could give enoguh explanations about menu. In addition, some foods in menu (1/5 of menu when I visited) were not available and the did not explain it in advance, so I have to ask which is available one by one. I think the location is the only merit for this restaurant. The atmosphere of the restaurant was not good as I expected since it is surrounded by buildings!

Yelp
La Brianza was unfortunately one of the worst meals we ever had. Our party of 6 found the entire meal inedible. It was a set menu and it got worse with each course. To top it off not only were we given raw inedible steak- it was thick as rubber. It was around 8 courses and we would have been happy if even a few courses were ok but no such luck. If you like mainly raw meat this may be the place for you but otherwise pass. Hate to give bad reviews but this one is in a class of its own.

Yelp
Ok ... not really Italian but more fusion kind of food. Good quality of ingredients but don't really taste Italian dishes ... trust me, I am Italian

Yelp
My mom actually recommended this place to me and I took my boyfriend here for his birthday. We arrived quite late but they were still able to seat us. Although we were seated at the bar, we loved it! We were the only customers seated at the bar so it felt very special and almost as if we were getting special treatment and more tended to because of it. The bartender made a recommendation for dessert (pumpkin pudding) and I have NEVER tasted anything more delicious!!!! The service was absolutely wonderful and I can't wait to go back and try from the course menu next time! ごちそうさまでした!とっても美味しかったです!ありがとうございました

Yelp
Ok this restaurant is actually in my building. On the 3rd floor. It would be hard to find for anyone not living here, but regardless it is full every night. The food is excellent and the chef, Yoshi, speaks English very well. There is a nice value four course set every night, but also some fabulous other options including the best porchetta I have ever had. Worth a trip downstairs, and also a trip across town.
