L.A. Brisket

We are so happy that our clients/friends introduced us to the LA Brisket in Artesia. It was a busy day looking at homes and we were all hungry. Luckily we were down the street so we made it in. Of course we had to order the brisket and it did not disappoint. The plate was a hearty portion and it was so delicious. We also ordered a side of their sweet potato fries and were taken aback by the sweet flavor . So delicious. Make sure you make it in and eat it all up.

L.A. Brisket is amazing for a quick casual lunch or dinner. The food is delicious, the service is friendly, and there's plenty of nearby parking. I ordered 'The 101' sandwich and 'Sweet Potato' side. The 101 has garlic aioli, L.A. slaw, gruyere cheese, carmelized onion, brisket, bread, and BBQ sauce. The brisket was tender, easy to chew, and delicious! The sweet potato fries were crispy, coated with sweet syrup, and dessert worthy. I'm looking forward to trying the bowls next time.

The brisket is the best !!!! Melt in your mouth! And i absolutely love the verde sauce , I found my new spot !! I updated my review with a picture because I am starting to go here more often and I wanted to show how delicious the brisket bowl is ! And yes I orders extra verde sauce because I love it 😊

Hands down most tender melt in your mouth Brisket I have eaten. Very favorable. I got the bowl with garlic rice which was very good also and pork. The pork was tender and lots of flavor. But the Brisket is a must.

That was probably the best brisket I ever had, definitely top 2. Got the mega bowl, and boy did it just all around hit the spot-- all flavors compliment each other, the slaw and rice are great (rice is a perfect but unusual side for brisket, i actually prefer over any american sides) and the brisket is PERFECTLY seasoned and cooked. Was awesome all around, feeling euphoric, will definitely be back!

Best Brisket place in ever tried so far. They specialize in BBQ ribs, brisket and chiken. Food is very good. Sweet potato side is recommended here. Only complain is the old tables that are too narrow in depth where you feel too close to the person front of you. Great place for leat lovers but dark lighting makes you feel sad.

Best brisket I've tried in the greater LA area, nice and tender. I ordered the bowl (rice). They also have taco and other forms they put their brisket in. I opted for take away because although that firewood smell is nice, the inside dining area was rather smoky and I've got wimpy lungs. (I also don't smoke and hate any kind of smoke.) Other than that small little factor and reminder that they smoke their own amazing brisket, LA Brisket is definitely worth a visit.

Food tasted amazing but there was a loooot of fat rendered out into our fries. Slaw was tasty and the mac salad was a 10; enough for us to get back in line for another order. Service was the sweetest! Very kind and quick and I can't believe they bus our tables after 🥲. I would definitely return. The brisket was great!

I did a review on this place a couple years ago, and it's gotten a lot better. I go here so much, it's not even funny. The meat is so tender and flavorful, and now they have tacos with the brisket meat - it's SO delicious. I might go today if they're not closed. I'm hooked on the brisket bowl and the tacos so I go back and forth between the two. I know I'm not alone about it being better because it's getting busy. It's a cool place and it's close so I'm loving that. Staff is very nice and accommodating, plenty of parking in this plaza. My boyfriend and I came across LA Brisket while we were in the area and decided to stop by during lunch hour. The restaurant itself was pretty dark and didn't have much decorative aspect going on inside. However, we did have excellent and quick service and the staff helped with all of our questions. We ended up ordering the Brisket fries as well as the Brisket and Pulled pork rice plate. The brisket in general was pretty good but a little on the drier side. The fries were delicious but the flavors of the meat and sauce were overpowered by all the bleu cheese and onions added on top. The rice plate also felt like it was missing some juices from the meat or extra sauces to make it all pull together. Overall our service was great here but did not have an exceptional food experience.

Tried this place for the first time today and was not disappointed. This is a hidden gem and It's unfortunate that it doesn't get the attention that it deserves (it's hiding behind a Jack-in-the-Box). Everyone needs to try this place. My pictures do not justify the goodness, but as you can see, they do not skimp out of the meat Portions. The brisket is tender and perfectly seasoned. The baguette is toasty-soft . Everything was delicious!! I will definitely be back to try other items (chicken & pork). Prices were reasonable and customer service was excellent.

If you're a fan of brisket you'll love this place. It's perfectly moist and flavor packed. Large variety of brisket sandwiches with different toppings and sauces. If you're avoiding carbs you can get it served on a surprisingly delicious salad. All their side dishes suck and are sadly bland and boring. Service is always off too. Every time I go it feels like I am bothering the employee. Go for the brisket alone!

I had The 101 and it was good. Everything here is brisket, hence the name of the place and the different sandwiches are what sauces and additions are used for a particular sandwich. They now have tacos which come in 3's and an option for bowls with pork or chicken as well. The staff was decent.

It's all in the name...brisket!!! Found this spot randomly and so glad I did. Quality and flavorful meat, perfectly cooked. Yum!! Located in a corner strip mall with tons of parking. The storefront was easy to find. It's simple inside with ample seating. A relatively small menu was a nice change from overwhelming and can't decide like other food establishments. The 101 was my sandwich of choice and it was bursting with flavor. Only downside is it was kinda messy. Definitely not something I could eat in the car. I decided to pair my sandwich with sweet potato fries and they were the most unique I've had. Quite good as they had a light, shiny, kinda sweet drizzle on top. Served hot and surprisingly, they stayed warm until the last bite. A great find!! Look forward to trying some more items soon.

This is always my go-to! I love the 405. As a matter of fact, I'm going back this weekend. My husband usually asks what I want to eat when I say LA brisket, he always agrees.

Parking is pretty easy since it's a shared parking lot. Their menu doesn't have too many items on it. I tried the brisket bowl and the meat was nice and juicy. If you like your brisket fatty, this is the place for you. The garlic rice was good too, as was the green sauce they give you on the side. The only thing I wish they gave you more of was the coleslaw. It's basically two bites and then you're done. It's small inside so don't bring a large group here.

No air conditioning inside the quick service restaurant so it was slightly hot to eat inside but we survived. The 405 brisket sandwich with garlic aioli and cheese was amazing, that sauce compliments the brisket so well. The loaded fries with pork on top for $15 was delish as well, very well flavored and decent amount of meat on top. Staff asked how was the food and was very nice

Looove this place! Its bbq-asian fusion. It always smells like delicious bbq. Its a smaller place but plenty of seating and all the staff are very nice and helpful. I usually get the pulled pork bowl which has a generous amout of pork over garlic rice and slaw. Their rice is the best thing ever but i usually leave the slaw off cuz im not a fan of any slaw (i think its pickled red cabbage). This time i got the 2 meats, pork and brisket and their brisket is amazing and tender. I like their bbq sauce since its more savory than sweet and the chile verde (?) sauce that comes with it. Sandwiches are good, loaded fries are a must! Im interested in their chicken dish too which is just at this location. We come here a fair amount!

First time trying LA Brisket and my gf and I were very impressed. The brisket was juicy and tender, and our sandwiches were packed with meat. I ordered the 5 and my girl got the 101, and both were tasty. She's not even a big fan of coleslaw but she really liked hers. This place is a little pricey, but overall delicious food and even better service. Will definitely go back again!

Also tried their brisket bowl which is really good. The meat is tasty, lean, and juicy and their green salsa has a nice kick to it.

LA brisket, oh how welcoming you were! I stopped here for lunch with my gals. It was around 12pm on a Thursday and it was pretty empty. The place itself is a cute lil hole in the wall. It's bench seating and has a rustic outdoorsy bbq texan typa vibe if that makes sense. I didn't catch the name of the man working but he felt like a warm hug. He was so welcoming and even asked if it was our first time there. He explained the menu and was very informative. I ended up ordering the 405 with chicken instead of brisket. I was very very pleased with the 405. The literal freeway is a nightmare but the sandwich was amazing! The only remark I have is that it's a literally complicated to eat. The roll is split down the middle instead of the side which made me spill every time I took a bite out of it. The arugula and garlic aioli were a nice match! They complimented each other well when biting into this sandwich for flavor. I would recommend asking for some pepperoncini if you like spice. A spicy girl like me loves her spice so it added the perfect kick to it! They also have brisket tacos that I'll defintely be coming back to try! There's plenty of parking in the lot but I can see if this place was busy it would fill up quick!

I got the meat by itself with garlic fries and baked beans and the sides were top tier amazing The meat did have some fat on it wasn't my favorite part but I did also try the 5 sandwich and the meat and flavors amzing. The owner the sweetest man ever hope all good things come to him

It's edible but not worth it. I ordered this off of Uber Eats. It was so plain and the white rice tasted off. Almost as if the rice wasn't washed correctly. The brisket is okay. Tender but no flavor it had a flavor of as if someone used a butane torch to heat the meat up. I had a bit of green tomatillo salsa left over from my dinner last night and heated it up and added the brisket to it. To think I'd have to improve my lunch. I can scarf down a lot of food but this....I didn't even finish... sorry. But I probably won't be ordering from here again. That quality isn't worth the price. I rarely do reviews but this one really had me disappointed.

this place right here has really good food. The brisket sandwich is the best corn in a cup is to die for, next time I go I want to try the Bowls . See you soon.

Tender soft juicy brisket serve over flavorful garlic rice. Taste is in the lighter side which won't make you too thirsty. Friendly staff, highly recommended.

The man working the front needs a raise! Extremely nice and welcoming. The sandwiches were extremely flavorful and filling. The inside gives a rustic feel to it and all the seats are benches. There is plenty of parking in the shared parking lot. I got the 405 sandwich (with no Blu Cheese) and everything inside paired perfectly. The bread itself has a good crunch and taste and not stale at all. I will be back to try the loaded fries!

As soon aa you walk into the door you are greeted! Food was delicious and the service was excellent!! The gentleman/owner( not sure) came to the table to make sure I was enjoying my meal. He also asked if I needed anything else. Very pleasant! Will definitely go back!

Went on a Sunday afternoon for early dinner. Wasn't crowded, in fact felt empty, we were one of 2 tables when we entered the restaurant. Service is counter order and they bring your food to you. Took a long time to get our food considering there was only 1 other table and 1 to-go order in the restaurant at the time...maybe 25-30 minutes? Not sure why that takes so long...because of fries? making rice? Who knows. 3/5 Ordered a 3-meat combo bowl with chicken, pulled pork and brisket, comes with rice, a green tangy cilantro sauce, and some red cabbage slaw. Chicken was OK, pulled pork was pretty good, and I liked the brisket the best. A good portion and nice variety of flavors. Doesn't come with any BBQ sauce, they didn't offer and I didn't ask. 4/5 We got some underwhelming barely cooked truffle fries. Decent truffle flavor but a Bit pale and undercooked. 3/5 The side of elote/esquite that we ordered was good too. 4/5 No meats had a really deep smoke, although the interior was smoky (our clothes came out smelling smoky after dinner). Still, my goal was BBQ and LA Brisket delivered reasonably well. It was plenty of food for 3 (2 adults and a kid) to share. I want to try it again, can't say it was exactly craveworthy but good enough to try some other things, maybe the sandwiches will inspire, TBD.

Came here for the first time because we were craving barbecue. We ordered: -half rack of pork ribs that had dry rub and barbecue sauce on the side. Lots of flavor so I preferred it dry. Definitely was my favorite since the meat was fall off the bone tender. -Pulled chicken - half pound. Can taste the smokiness -405 sandwich with brisket - has blue cheese which I like and garlic aïoli sauce was also good. Brisket was tender and flavorful. Truffle fries were decent but small portion. Friendly staff that were always smiling and owners were present. Owners chatted with us and made sure we had a first memorable experience. Wooden tables with seated benches that were attached were first come first serve. Order at the register. Will be back!

It's crazy ridiculous how tender the Brisket was out this world mind blowing. I'm glad this place is not local to me because I'd probably spend so much of my time and money here.

Curiosity is satisfied!!! we saw this sandwich place in Tiktok and we decided to give it a try! I ordered the 405 Sandwich without blue cheese bec. not a fan of blue cheese. The brisket was so tender and loved the garlic aioli, the onion was not that carmelized, the must lroom is just right and the bread was a bit chewy to bite i pefer to be toasted. They dont have unlimited refill fountain drink (inflation?). The service was friendly though ut took some time to get our order but cant complain the place size is just right lots of parking. we will defintely come back to try other diahes in the menu like the brisket taco ummm yummy!

I lived in the South for a while and I really know my brisket and this place has... amazing brisket! Just a modest eatery in a non-descript strip mall. We tried the 405 sandwich, brisket bowl and brisket fires. All were fantastic and reminiscent of some of the best brisket I've ever had. Considering this is SoCal, it's by far the best locally. Oh the folks here is super helpful and friendly especially for first-timers like us. And if you've never been here, whatcha waiting for?

Still doing it right! We just had the 405 and Loaded potatoes both with brisket. My last review of this place was over 5 years ago and it hasn't changed a bit. We never eat in. People here are always friendly. Great job!

Great way to beat the lunch rush is the get up early and get there around opening time. Of course this was just our usual food crawl before running errands. We split a 405 sandwich and gf was like found our new bbq sandwich place if we ever craving it! I'm always down for delicious food without a crowd. We were literally one of two tables eating here at noon on a sunday lol. You just go in, order and pay at the front and take a seat and they bring the food to you, simple as that. The brisket in the sandwich was so tender and juicy dripping out of the bun juice levels of flavor! I don't recall too much of the truffle fries but we left a few on the plat so it wasn't part of the clean plate club. Atmosphere was that of many bbq joints with slabbed wooden tables and benches/metal chairs. It fits a certain genre of american bbq joints and not a pub style with tv and loud music which sometimes can take away from the enjoyment of the food and company.

The food was very delicious. The service was very friendly and helpful. The location was clean and well kept. It felt safe and was well lit. The prices were fair and affordable. I highly recommend it. I liked their secret salsa verde!

Bro/sis, this food is so good! The dishes are so tasty, yet simple. Menu is perfect as well; no choice paralysis. Service was excellent. Always friendly. Food always comes out fast. The whole place smells like smoked-food heaven as soon you walk in. Clean environment. Been here approximately a billion times.

Food so good , brisket was juicy, chicken flavorful and the pull pork was tender. Full of flavor!! Fresh Strawberry Lemonade was a thirst quencher. The service was great and attentive not to forget reasonable low prices. Definitely recommend.

I went to LA Brisket for lunch during the week and the service was outstanding. The man working the front was extremely friendly and recommended their most popular meals. I ended up going with the 5 brisket sandwich and I loved it!! I will definitely be coming back, it was the perfect ratio of meat and had a nice tanginess to it with the green salsa. A must try for sure!

Incredibly tender and flavorful brisket! Love the garlic rice in brisket bowl. The sauce on the loaded fries was delicious. The mac salad and elote sides were both delicious!

Pretty decent food. Great staff and very attentive to everyone. Small but cozy, so hopefully you don't go when it's super busy to eat in. I will say, prices are a little higher for what you get. Will try again.

Sandwiches are bomb!!!! Would come back if it was closer to my place!!! Hopefully I'm in the area more often because this is worth the drive

Pulled up on a weeknight and there was 2 people eating inside, so immediately I wasn't sure if I made a good choice or not ... fear not, the food was delicious here! My partner got a brisket and chicken rice bowl. I had a bite of it and the brisket was so tender with a delicious smoke to it. I got the 405 sandwich and it was peeeerfect. If you like blue cheese and bbq, this is the sandwich to get! Also tried out the brisket tacos and although they were pretty dang good, it didn't compare to the sandwich or bbq rice bowl! Can't wait to come back and try other stuff.

5 stars for food 4 stars for service 3 stars for ambience The amazing aroma when you walk in the door tells you that the food is going to be delicious! Between the four people in my party we had two loaded brisket fries, brisket tacos, and the brisket bowl. You can tell we like brisket! The servings are generous but not so big that you can't finish. The loaded brisket fries come with a red cabbage slaw and blue cheese crumbles. I will definitely be back!

Expenses: 1/1 The prices were fair for the quality of the food. Location: 1/1 Service Quality: The staff was friendly, and service was quick, contributing positively to the dining experience. Ambiance: The ambiance, particularly with the wood chairs, gave a welcoming vibe and fit perfectly with the delicious smell of BBQ. Cleanliness: Location was very clean. Possibility of a Future Visit & Recommendation: 1/1 Sandwich was tasty, I'd definitely come back to try another one at some point and would recommend it to any BBQ or sandwich enthusiast.

Everything we ordered was delicious and the food came out pretty fast. We ordered: the 101 sandwich, brisket bowl, fries, and elote. The brisket came out juicy and tender :), and the garlic aoli and salsa verde paired perfectly with it. My favorite was the 101 sandwich! The only con was it gets pretty warm in the restaurant and I probably wouldn't be able to stay inside for that long. Also the cashier was very helpful with helping us decide what to order :)

The food is simply AMAZING! We ordered one 405 sandwich and one 10 sandwich, mac salad and garlic fries. Can't decide which sandwich is better than the other one, both are heavenly tasteful. The owner was so kind. We will definitely come back soon!

Great friendly service I ate the 405 sandwich. Bread was soft and fresh, Right amount of cheese, not over powering, lots of meat, right amount of sauce brought everything together.

OMG! AWSOME BRISKET! My wife and just came back from Texas and this rivals Texas BBQ BRISKET! If you like coleslaw, try the purple coleslaw! We will be back!!!

Came here on a Friday with a couple of friends. Saw the place on Yelp numerous times and was finally in Cerritos so decided to give it a shot I ordered the 5 and was throughly surprised. The brisket was some of the best I've had in California and the salsa verde complimented it perfectly. Not sure if they make the bread in house but it was a near perfect sandwich roll. Only complaint I would have is that it was a tad salty but I personally love it like that so to each their own. Tried my friends sandwiches as well and they were just as good as mine. Cannot go wrong here

Ordered 21 items for 14 people for a work event. Personally picked it up and found that they missed one bowl once I got back to the office. We ordered 6 Artesia bowls and we were only given 5. That's totally fine, mistakes happen and I probably should have double checked at the restaurant anyways. We didn't want to make the drive back so we decided to share what we received. I proceeded to give them a call to ask for a refund for the one item that was missed. However, I was met with the most unbelievably rude response from the person who answered the phone. "I am 100% certain that I added 6 Artesia bowls so you need to double check." I told him that I am directly looking at what was received and that was not the case. He was so angry and argued back and forth several times as he was so adamant that he gave us the correct items. I genuinely could not believe what I was hearing. I've never experienced anything like this before, his attitude towards me was like he thought I was trying to scam this restaurant for over what, $20? After going back and forth several times, he reluctantly said that he would talk to his boss about issuing me the one item refund and would call me back, which never happened (it's been four hours). Unbelievably rude customer service and it's a shame because their food is good. Hate to be a Karen and leave a one star, but I have genuinely never experienced an interaction like this ever for something so simple that probably happens all the time.

The food was good but had a couple of flaws. Let me start with the good things I liked about the place . We ordered Brisket tacos , loaded fries w/brisket , and the brisket bowl. Every single item was delicious and flavorful. The only down side in my opinion was the temperature of the food it wasn't as warm or hot as I'd like it to be didn't feel as fresh to my liking . Other than that the food was great ! They could do better with having cups for their lemonade I couldn't get lemonade because of that . Not a big deal but kind of a bummer . Also the place was really quite. Felt like I had to whisper to talk to my girlfriend for half of our stay at the restaurant there was no music it it was dead silent . The inside of the restaurant is really nice and the smell of the brisket fills the air . This place has been around for a while now I'd think it would be fine tuned by now . Needs a little work but I'd come back .

Once upon a time, this Faerie Queen was searching for a Friday treat for lunch. What a delight! The sandwiches are large and juicy. We opted for the brisket sandwich, French fries, and a soda. I may have a full stomach until tomorrow. This is a must for meat lovers and sandwich goers alike. The end.
