The 14 Best Restaurants in Kendall, Miami | Eater Miami

"With its second location opening at the Palms at Town & Country, chef Michelle Bernstein’s Caribbean and Cuban-inspired eatery is a welcome addition to Kendall’s dining scene. On a recent visit, the conch fritters, dusted with cayenne-powdered sugar, and the boneless yellowtail with garlic sauce and coconut rice did not disappoint. Other menu options include ham, shrimp scampi, or mushroom croquetas, empanadas, ceviche, oxtail lasagna, steaks, and arroz con pollo. Happy hour, with discounted drinks and food, is offered every day from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., but it will soon be available from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m." - Stacy Moya

Miami’s Newest Restaurant Openings in February 2025 | Eater Miami

"Husband-and-wife culinary team David Martinez and Michelle Bernstein, the names behind Cafe La Trova and Sra. Martinez, originally opened a smaller, casual Cuban spot in Bayside Marketplace in 2021 and have now launched a larger version at the Palms of Town & Country. The restaurant offers Cuban Caribbean favorites like croqueta, empanadas, oxtail lasagna, and lechon asado, and it celebrates the rich rum culture of the Caribbean with a cocktail menu that includes a classic mojito and a Presidente." - Laine Doss

Everything was perfect, great service from our server Erick the food was delicious. Love the live music and the ambience everyone was friendly having a good time and even after dinner we enjoyed our time outside having a cigar. The price was worth the experience definitely visiting here again and bringing my grandma. Reminds me of old Cuba.

We had a delightful dinner with great service. Our server, Daniela was spectacular. Her attention to all our needs exceeded expectations. This place has a great vibe with a 3 man band playing old school Cuban mambo and salsa. Hemingway martini was off the chain. We will be back. Arroz con pollo was delicious as were the ham croquetas in fig jam.

From the moment we walked in, everything about this restaurant exceeded our expectations. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff greeted us with genuine smiles that made us feel instantly welcome. The food was nothing short of excellent — every dish was beautifully presented, bursting with flavor, and clearly prepared with care and attention to detail. You can tell the chefs take pride in what they do. What really stood out was the service. Our server was attentive without being intrusive, incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, and made thoughtful recommendations that turned out to be perfect. Drinks were always refilled on time, and every little request was handled with ease and professionalism. It’s rare to find a place where both the food and service are equally outstanding, but this restaurant truly delivers on both fronts. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. We can’t wait to come back!

After recently eating at the Bayside location and being very happy with that experience, I thought I'd try the Kendall location. There's a great atmosphere, decor, and live music which was enjoyable and the highlight of this visit in addition to the hospitable service from the hostess and our server but the food was pretty average. Ordered the shrimp cocktail and it wasn't the typical presentation plus was really spicy. The Arroz con Pollo was just ok, had too many olives, was a little dry and lacked flavor as did the black beans. Plus the serving size for the price paid didn't feel like a good value. Many of the menu items seem a bit pricey.

Food was delicious and service was great! They just opened 5 months ago so service is a little slow but they are very polite and accommodating. Loved the vibe and looking forward to coming back for happy hour.

We've been wanting to go to this restaurant for a few weeks. Finally made it tonight but with the purpose of assessing for a large gathering. We met Henry as we walked in and I stated the main purpose of our visit in addition to having dinner. Henry took the time to explain the options, described the set up and took my information for the coordinator to reach as well as giving me her information. We then proceeded to our table, where we were fortunate to meet Juliette. Service was outstanding! Professional, friendly and caring! We shared an order of guacamole as well as a lechon asado. Both were flavorful and more than enough for the two of us. My husband insisted on trying the coconut rice, which was amazing. We got there just as the musicians finished playing however the music that was playing over the sound system was good music but not overbearing. Atmosphere is warm, reminding me a little of old times but with a bit of a modern vibe. Cañitas is open from 5:00 PM on, with lunch service plans in the making. We will be back on a Sunday for the nostalgic music day, which was highly recommended by both Henry and Juliette!

Google
WE LOVED THIS PLACE , we had a great time and the food was amazing . We went today on thanksgiving and we were enjoying our food while having the best music . We sat 3 of us at the bar with Yulian who was the best , he provided great service and I would recommend this place to Anyone and to sit at the bar with yulian .

Google
We visited for lunch as a family, the food was delicious, our kids enjoyed their meals too. The vibe was beautiful, this restaurant is gorgeous. I ordered a passion fruit mojito from the bar because the bar looked too good to not order a drink. Our bartender was Nelson, he was so kind, and my drink was incredible. Immediately texted friends to recommend for a happy hour.

Yelp
I wish I got more photos of the decor of this place as there are so many details from the flooring to the ceiling. Every spot was taken into consideration there. The staff was extremely welcoming and usually for a place where the staff is great, the food sometimes lacks, but this restaurant was on point all around. Everything was extremely tasteful and please all 4 of us that had partaken. We will be surely back to try more in the near future.

Yelp
The ambiance here is incredible, the band and the music they play is so inviting and soothing. I would say this is a gem in Kendall. The place is chic, elevated, and all the staff/waiters wear suits. I would rate the food a 7/10. Either too salty or lacking depth and flavor. I ordered the lamb chops (not enough flavor) and my mom ordered the lechon asado ( yuka was too acidic and salty) The service is a hit or a miss. The hostess was not courteous and mind you it's the "first" impression we have of the business so she definitely needs more training on customer service. Every other staff was courteous but of course you don't forget the first interaction. They're also strict with the seating, you can't just sit anywhere and they won't accommodate your requests. We came just 2 of us with no reservation and it was mostly empty but they still did not want us to have certain seats. Then another couple came and while there were visiiiiibly so many seats available, I swear they made them wait 15 mins to be seated.

Yelp
I wanted to share my thoughts on La Canita Kendall, which I believe is a nice addition to the neighborhood of Kendall. Overall, the food has been good on most occasions, though there were a couple of instances where some dishes were bland. Considering the cost of certain items, I feel they should be excellent consistently. The service is usually really good; however, there have been times when we struggled to find our server for additional drinks or to have our plates cleared. That said, the service at the bar is consistently great, making it my preferred spot to ensure prompt attention. The venue itself has a great vibe, and the live Spanish music is enjoyable and well received. I do have some concerns about how long this location will stay open. Kendall needs this establishment to thrive, and I sincerely hope the community continues to support it so it becomes a neighborhood staple. While there are a few areas to improve, I believe La Canita Kendall is overall a great place. Thanks!

Yelp
Great spot for drinks, live music, and happy hour specials. Happy Hour is pretty packed and drinks depend on your bartender as always since the efficiency or expertise leads to inappropriately made drink to a good cocktail. Also, there was a lot of attention being given to the same people by the experiences bartenders to the same customers that were coming back for more drinks while people waiting at bar were being ignored. The live band was great! Our waiter was great as well! Food lacks that Cuban flavor. Entrees lacked flavor in my opinion of what a Cuban dish would taste like. The flan and the Tres leches were also dry and without flavor but the presentation was nice. I would recommend the place for drinks and music and if you want to sneak a dance in while there.

Yelp
Fun atmosphere and good crowd. More of the 60+ group but everyone was dancings, eating, listening to the band and just all around having a good time. Service was quick and the food was good. I would go back just for the atmosphere. My only complaint is that it was very very loud with the band playing so you couldn't really have a conversation without practically yelling your words. We did have a table very close to the stage so that may account for that negative. But like I said overall a solid place. I'd give it a B.

Yelp
I had been wanting to try this restaurant for about a month after walking by one Saturday night and catching a glimpse of the live music and vibrant atmosphere. We finally came to celebrate my sister's birthday with a group of 10, and it did not disappoint. The decor was absolutely stunning--modern with rich dark green accents and a speakeasy-inspired ambiance that immediately sets the mood for a special night out. We started with the pork belly, which was perfectly crispy on the outside and melt-in-your-mouth tender on the inside. The ham and cheese croquetas were decadent and a crowd favorite. My fiancé and I had mojitos, which were boozy, refreshing, and well-balanced. The live band added to the inviting vibe, and they even sang happy birthday to my sister, which was a lovely touch. For our entrees, the portions were generous. Most of us ordered the ropa vieja, a classic Cuban dish--the shredded beef was tender, flavorful, and paired beautifully with sweet plantains. We also tried the lechón, which was citrusy, juicy, and packed with flavor. My fiancé went for the oxtail lasagna, which he thoroughly enjoyed--though the portion was smaller compared to the others, the richness of the dish made up for it. All in all, this place delivered on experience, flavor, and vibe. We'll definitely be back!

Yelp
A good friend brought me here after hearing good things -- this is apparently a celebrity chef's restaurant -- so we checked out the Town & Country location. Later I realized I had actually been to the Bayside location years earlier post-pandemic. That one is nicely designed but too touristy -- food and service were just OK when I visited with my coworkers. Town & Country has a more refined look -- clearly not a budget build. Materials and finishes are higher-end, though the design is simpler than Bayside's. The space isn't small but still lacked a cozy feel, maybe due to how it's laid out. That said, it's still nicer than 99% of restaurants out there and it's a cool place to bring someone on a date or to somewhere different. There's a small front stage with live music -- a nice touch if you like that. I personally don't love loud music while eating since it makes conversation tough. No cover charge (at least not on weekdays), but expect the entertainment to be baked into the menu prices. This is Cuban cuisine, but prices are 2-3x the norm. A $28 Ropa Vieja? Wild -- but to be fair, you're paying for ambiance, presentation, and live music. My $24 Lechón Asado with Yuca and Chicharrón looked great and was generously portioned. The chicharrón? Too-tier. But the lechón itself was a letdown -- soft, yes, but tasted boiled and flavorless, like it was drowned in store-bought sour orange mojo. No seasoning came through. I could only eat about 60% of it. A few maduros might've helped balance the overpowering sourness of the 99% sour orange based mojo. Chicharrón was otherworldly -- I'd give it 6/5. Yuca was half-decent, with the other half being undercooked with the fibrous core still inside -- 2/5. The mushroom croquettes were a big surprise -- cheesy with just enough mushroom flavor. Definitely order them -- 5/5. My vegetarian friend had the Watermelon Caprese and gave it a 5/5. It looked delicious - emphasis on 'looked' LOL. Dessert (flan) was reasonably priced and a solid 4/5. Came topped with pickled papaya, which neither of us really got it's point -- felt like they were trying too hard. Service was friendly but not very attentive -- I went without water for 20+ minutes. We had to flag our server down a couple of times. Overall: 4 out of 5 for design, ambiance, and quality ingredients. Not your typical Cuban spot -- expect some hits and misses.

Yelp
What a fabulous new spot in Kendall! The service here was great as our server was always attentive and gave us good recommendations. The meat was tender and juicy. The calamari was crispy and well seasoned, paired with a nice aïoli sauce. We ordered the classic Mojito, which our server recommended, it was refreshing and minty. The best part about this place was the live music they played! The only con was that it was loud, so talking to your table might be a struggle, but other than that the vibes were great! People were dancing and having a great time. We ended the dinner with a strong Cafecito and churros.

Yelp
The pros: The food was all top tier for brunch Sunday. I got the Cuban style eggs Benedict and it was so tangy and deliciously flavored with a nice twist to the original Benedict. I also got a espresso martini which was strong but sweet and balanced nicely between the liquor and coffee shot. The cons: it was loud as hell! I mean you have to scream at your date to hear each other loud lol. Maybe it's because it was Mother's Day (they had a nice Cuban band but seriously... two decibles lower would've gone a long way). The waiter forget my cocktail so had to ask a few times but it was pretty busy. They made my mother in law take off her hat when we walked in. Over all I would go again. Definitely was a good time.

Yelp
The cañita burger was amazing ! I think it might one of the best burgers I've ever had ! I also tried the ropa vieja with yuca which was so flavorful , the yuca was perfectly done. They also had live music and great cocktails, I will definitely come back :)

Yelp
Best happy hour in town! And it's 5 days a week! Wed-Sun 5-8pm! Not only do they have a happy Hour that last passed 5 or 6 but the food quality and price are unbeatable! Croquetas, Cuban bread and buratta spread, cuviche and the best ban con lechon we've ever had (I think the guys had 2 each from how good they were) all on happy hours. You can pair it with a margarita, mojito, or old fashion and you're not spending more than $50 a person to leave fulfilled! Not there for happy hour? Don't worry, they have a full menu that still more reasonably priced than any other place in Miami. And now they have Sunday brunch!! Sit at their massive bar or on the main floor and enjoy their live band that sounds like they came out of a Cuban record. I'm in love with this place. Definitely 10 stars for me!

Yelp
This place is a fantastic addition to the Kendall scene. I visited La Cañita on Saturday night with my family to celebrate my Dad's 60th birthday. The server named Erick was super nice and attentive providing quick service even though it was packed and you could tell he was busy. We all ordered a variety of appetizers and dishes with the Ropa Vieja and the gnocchi being the stand out plates. They serve huge plates so be aware. We also ordered the pork belly, croquetas, empanadas and other main dishes which were all great. The venue had a live band playing which was a great boost to the ambiance but it was very loud, if you're trying to go and enjoy conversation, maybe it's not the place for you but we wanted the live music so it was perfect for a celebration! Overall I recommend this place and will definitely be back soon.

Yelp
La Cañita offers a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere, great live music and perfect for casual dining or enjoying drinks with friends and family. The overall food quality is decent -- nothing overly impressive, but satisfying enough for a mid-range spot. The appetizers and meat dishes are well-seasoned and nicely presented, while the cocktails and drinks stand out as the highlight of the experience the Negroni I ordered was spot on. Their mixology team clearly knows what they're doing unlike the kitchen. However, the Yellowtail plate was a noticeable disappointment for me compared to the rest of the menu maybe I should have ordered something else. It lacked freshness and flavor, maybe they went for some kind of fusion with ginger and maybe rosemary couldn't tell left me feeling somewhat over-seasoned. While not inedible, it didn't live up to the restaurant's otherwise solid offerings. Still, if you're visiting for good drinks and a laid-back evening with friends, and family and enjoy good live music this place is worth a stop -- just maybe skip the yellowtail don't forget order the Negroni.

Yelp
Love this place! The service was great. Although we waited very long for all of our drinks (both rounds). Thank you, William, for your great service! Loved the band! The food could use a little more salt on the ropa Viejas and beans. The ham and cheese croquettes, conch, and chicken soup was amazing! Coming again for my mom's bday! Can't wait to bring her here!
google avatar

Yelp
We came in for an afternoon of drinks and sat at the bar and WOW! Nelson was our bartender and tbh I felt like I was having drinks with family, he made us laugh , had us try new things and really appreciated the art of a cocktail. What a fun experience the environment is beautiful and the live music is the cherry on top. 10/10

George F.

Yelp
Really enjoyed this place, moderate pricing and excellent food. They have a great happy hour with live music. I was afraid that the crowed would be a little too Latin for me, but I found a nice place with good people. Give it a chance I think you'll like it. oh, dress up a little.

Yelp
Happy hour in La Cañita is a fun way to start your weekend. Walking into a warm and inviting decor, you're greeted by a courteous and friendly hostess . The bar area comes alive and that's because people like Josuan and Ray -are not only top rate bartenders, but treat you as if you're friends. The bar food is not what you'd expect from HH bites, we're talking Michelle Bernstein level... need I say more. Pan con Lechon ( just try... ) another favorite , though all were amazing was the Queso Frito. To describe will not do it justice. It has to be experienced. Shout out to the talented musicians who add to the fun ambience. La Cañita in Kendall has the trifecta for success. Great food, friendly service, and warm and inviting ambience. Wishing them continued success.

Yelp
This restaurant was fun! Nice atmosphere with live music. It was a bit loud though if you want to hold conversations. Service was GREAT. We were a party of 15 and the service never disappointed. The food was pretty good. We ordered the butcher's grill with sides. The steaks and sausages were delicious. Chicken wasn't bad. Drinks were also good. A little bit pricey. I'd say at least $40-50, if not more, per person if you plan on going here.
google avatar

Laura C.

Yelp
When we arrived, we were told that there is a two hour max for service, it is stated on the website. The ambiance is rather nice, since there was live music. Once were all seated, our server, Ray, brought over water and gave us a few minutes to look at the menu. We ordered our drinks and they were brought over rather quickly, which is good! For our appetizers, we shared the croquetas, the conch fitters and the beef empanadas, all were really good. For my entree, I had the snapper filet and it was delicious. The rest of the entrees looked really good too. For dessert, we shared the churros and a tres leches, both were good. If you like live music, I recommend that you go early, so that you can really enjoy it. I'd recommend this place for dinner.

Yelp
Wow. I could end this review with that one word. This restaurant absolutely wowed me. The food alone would warrant five stars. The phenomenal service could bring it up to five stars even if the food were only half as good. The decor is conducive for anything from a family meal to romantic cocktails and date night. Bit then add in music...but not your usual restaurant live band. These guys are talented. They get folks out of their seats and dancing. Multitalented artists with a vaiety of traditional instruments. Just wow. We drop by for a late dinner after a movie so we really weren't that hungry. My wife ordered chicken empanadas and I ordered the Ropa Vieja As someone who frequents Cuban restaurants in the past, I have to say these were both among the best I have ever eaten. I would've left a clean plate if portion was not so huge. Absolutely delicious. We were not in the mood to drink this evening, but the drink menu is incredibly inviting and we will be back. We noticed they have a happy hour every day and we will be sure to drop by. I love love love this place. And recommended to anybody who wants a wonderful meal with an authentic Havana vibe.

Yelp
From the moment we arrived for brunch we were made to feel like one of the family. Our waiter, Erick, was 100% on point with his recommendations. The food was phenomenal and filling; the live music was a pleasant bonus we weren't expecting. Our mimosas and lychee martini were delicious. The entire experience was great! Definitely worth trying if you're in Kendall. We will definitely be returning.
google avatar

Dee L.

Yelp
First of all, I made Reservations with a specific request of a corner Table or Booth, and the Hostess proceeds to try to sit us right in the middle, right in front of the loud Band--OMG! So, I requested another Table. We ordered appetizers--Pork Belly and a Shrimp Cocktail--both good. Then, we ordered our Entrees--Oxtail Lasagna and a Coconut Curry Snapper. The Oxtail Lasagna was flavorless with a watery, tasteless broth. My Curry Snapper tasted like Air--Nothing----No Flavor Whatsoever! So disappointed! Then, Desserts--Tres Leches and Churros. The Tres Leches was Dry--OMG.... what else? We did enjoy the Band--but that's it. I would love to know why everyone is posting a 5-Star Review on this Place. Don't Get it! We will not be returning!

Yelp
I came here for the first time at the Kendall location and oh my god it did not disappoint. Once you walked you definitely didn't feel like you were in Kendall anymore. The vibe was amazing and the live band was great. I came to have dinner with a friend and we shared the croquetas de Jamón and shared their NY strip which was cooked to perfection and very flavorful. We had the churros for dessert which were so good. Erick was our waiter and he was very attentive to us. He checked in on us frequently even though you could tell he was very busy. Food and drinks came pretty quick. I will definitely be going again.
google avatar

Yelp
Great Cuban food with live music. I couldn't decide if the music or the food was better. Excellent service as well. I had the oxtail lasagna which was delicious.
google avatar

Daniel R.

Yelp
There were dishes here that were outstanding, such as the flan and the mushroom croquetas. Keep in mind it's a limited menu for vegetarians, but you will have some plates to choose from or modify. I'm not a big fan of live music when I'm eating, keep this in mind if you like it on the quiet side. I didn't know that they had it when I went to try it out. My friend had the lechon asado and he wasn't thrilled with it, he went against the waitress' recommendation. The place is very nice with a Cuban speak easy vibe and a very elegant bar area. The bathrooms were clean and upscale. I'm glad I went, had been wanting to go for over a year and so glad they opened up in Kendall. Service was were it should be with a touch of spotty. Drink menu looked really good. Worth your time.
google avatar

Jesus C.

Yelp
The reason I am rating this place as a 3 star is bc of the Ropa Vieja and Lechón dishes. Let's start with the Ropa vieja what they served last night was chunks of beef in some sauce that tasted slightly like the real RV. Now for the lechón served over yuca, who decided to put broth over this should be fired! Also way to much lime on the pork. The pork was juicy and tender. Very disappointing bc the first time I went I had the fried fish and it was amazing . PLS BE ADVISED THE ROPA VIEJA IS WITH STRING BEEF NOT CHUNks of beef. Outside of this we had a great time and will come back !

Yelp
In my first time here I really enjoy the ambiance the live music was exelent. The food was delicious. The service was amazing. Is a great place for couples or family, it has a something for everyone.

Yelp
Good food, great service, fun ambiance. Spicy margaritas were great! Appetizers were yummy. Will definitely be back for a full meal!

Yelp
Mushrooms croquetas very good. I ordered the lechon and I personally don't like it, too much sauce and not roasted pork at all..mojo sauce too strong. Dessert was good and music and ambiance very nice.

Yelp
I was really looking forward to trying this place, especially during Miami Spice. I planned my evening around it. I walked in at 8:15 PM, excited to finally try the menu, only to be told by the bartender that the kitchen was already closed. The website states the kitchen closes at 9 PM, so I was confused and asked if there was any flexibility. The answer? "Nope, you can sit at the bar and drink." It was incredibly disappointing to be turned away when I still had plenty of time before the posted closing. If the kitchen closes early, update your website so customers don't waste their time. Miami Spice is supposed to attract new guests -- instead, this left me with a bad first impression.

Yelp
Had the most amazing experience at La Cañita Kendall! We hosted a private event for my daughters after baptism celebration. It was a group of 20 people and everyone commented how amazing everything was! The food was delicious, we got the arroz con pollo, ropa vieja, jam croquetas, chicken empanadas, and churros!! Everything was so so delicious! The drinks were amazing (espresso martini shots so cute!), the cafecito with the dessert. Most of all was the service. Henry, Erick, Marieta, and Yosvan were incredible. Made the entire day so fun, happy, and enjoyable. The location is beautiful. Will definitely be back either for special event or just a dinner or happy hour! If I could give them 10 stars I would!

Yelp
Brand new reataurant in Kendall and I'm here for it. I really enjoyed the live music and the amazing decor all around the restaurant. They have a full bar but they also have very well crafted and classic cocktails. I had the mojito and it was perfectly concocted. This place has not been open for more than a month so I think the service was 4/5. The waiter and service was OK. We waited a long time for a round of drinks and when we asked the waiter he mentioned he forgot to put in the order. We ordered some Conch fritters and i thought it was cooked perfectly. The chicken soup was delicious and really had a homemade taste to it that reminds me of how my grandma would make it. I also ordered the ropa vieja which had great portions but in all honesty it was very bland and lacked the true flavor of a ropa vieja. Overall it was fun watching the performances and being able to have some drinks and food with a great view.

Yelp
Great ambiance and awesome happy hour menu. Their happy hour is from 4pm to 8 pm. Live music. The band is great they play Latin music that makes you get up and dance. Their singer is pretty good and very entertaining. The decorations bring you back to a 1930s vibe kind of a speak easy feel. This is a hidden gem in the Kendall area. We sat at the bar and the two bartenders were excellent. Always made sure we had drinks and food. The old fashioned was very good and it was part of the happy hour specials. Plenty of appetizers from the happy hour menu but our favorite was the lechón sandwich and the empanadas. Definitely worth a try.

Yelp
This place is outstanding. Great dining experience and energy. Great food, and Service. Brings a nostalgic Cuban Dinner Club vibe that delivers more than other similar experiences e.g. Havana 1957.

Yelp
Made reservations at La Cañita Kendall for a birthday with a large party. When we arrived our table was not ready, but shortly after the restaurant was able to accommodate our entire party together. As soon as you walk in live music is playing on the main stage. This restaurant has very nice decor giving it an old world glam vibe. Once we sat down our waiter took our drinks order and we were able to order some appetizers such as the Ham Coquetas the Pork Belly. Everything was delicious! Once we finished our appetizers we went ahead and ordered our main dishes. I ordered that the Trifongo, although it was not what I was expecting, it was very tasty, I do wish the portion was a bit larger given the price. The food here is a twist on Cuban food. That said, one might consider the dishes to be high priced for a regular Cuban restaurant. The live music was great, they would even sing you happy birthday whenever somebody was celebrating. Some folks were even dancing wherever they could find a spot. This is very cute spot in the heart of Kendall. Definitely worth checking out.

Yelp
Roció was our server and she was delightful. She was always closeby with her assistance which was a plus. Food was fantastic and so were all of the cocktails! I can't wait to come back! I love the vibe and the ambience of the space. It's a beautiful atmosphere that makes you feel like you're on the beach or have travelled somewhere new!

Yelp
Not the experience I was hoping for. The food didn't meet expectations, especially given the high prices. Couldn't finish a simple soup. Service could have been much better--our server didn't seem very attentive or helpful when ordering. The bathrooms were dirty, papers on the floor, which was surprising since the place was empty. On a positive note, the live band was fantastic and brought great energy to the space. I really appreciated their presence. With some improvements, this place could offer a much better dining experience.

Yelp
The food wasn't that great. Specially not very tasty or visually appealing was the Braised pork over boiled yuka. The server needs training. We were done with our food and our plates stayed forever in front of us..he even brought more drinks that we ordered and still didn't pick up the plates. I just think they're lacking in serving skills, but nice person. The live music was great! Just very short time.

Yelp
I would definitely recommend this place to friends. Drinks were absolutely stunning, food was great and service impeccable we really liked our server Erick. Live music was a plus, a little too loud for me but I can always get a table on the back next time. Because yes , there will be a next time :)

Yelp
My server was outstanding. He was attentive, asked about allergies, and made thoughtful recommendations that elevated my experience. I started with the Pork Belly. The dish was phenomenal--so fresh and vibrant! For the mains, I ordered the Local Fish of the Day, a beautifully cooked Yellowtail snapper served on top of fried yuca. The dish was flavorful, balanced, and unforgettable. I wrapped up the meal with flan topped with fresh papayas, and it was the perfect sweet note to end on. It was warm, indulgent, and absolutely delicious! Overall, it was a fantastic experience with excellent food, outstanding service, and a great vibe. I highly recommend this restaurant at Town and Country Mall in Kendall!

Yelp
he restaurant is beautiful with great music. Service was excellent. Great appetizers (had the croquetas and pork belly). However, the menu is limited. There were 8 of us and only 3 liked their food. Perhaps they need to work the kinks out since it's still fairly new. Recommend there are more options on menu

Yelp
Food and services was good. Some items were priced high though. Music was way too very loud.

Yelp
The band started playing around 7:30 and I got a Havana 1950s vibe. The service was outstanding and so was the food. The server suggested the mojito, and it didn't disappoint. We had the fried calamari to start. For dinner we ordered the oxtail lasagna and the whole fried fish. The food was amazing, no room for dessert. Will definitely be coming back.

Yelp
Finally a nice elevated experience in Kendall! Good food, good ambiance and good music!! Hopefully the Kendall crowd knows how to appreciate this gem. A lil version of Cafe la Trova

Yelp
The Ambiance is so fun! Love the live band and the music! We arrived at only an hour to close but the music was jamming. I had a mocktail mojito which was yummy. I definitely want to go back.

Yelp
Came here for my birthday brunch because I had come for happy hour and enjoyed the ambiance and the band. I made a reservation for a party of 10. When we arrived we asked about the Miami Spice menu and the waitress told us that they did not offer Miami spice for groups larger than 6 people, never saw that anywhere when we made the reservation. The waitress asked the manager and he agreed but with the condition everyone at the table had to pay choose from the spice menu. When i chose my dessert the girl suggested the flan because it was my birthday and the candle was better on the flan. My friend told them it was a birthday celebration and they said they don't sing happy birthday. They served the dessert and we asked for a candle to put on the so the table could sing happy birthday. 10 minutes later, they all came out singing happy birthday to another person who were celebrating birthday. Do better and stay consistent. We were also spending money cause we were buying bottles.
