The 15 Best Restaurants in Nantes, France | Eater

"This pop-up restaurant, part of the annual Voyage à Nantes festival, occupies the banks of the Loire on the Île de Nantes in a giant, collapsible greenhouse. Most years, the 21,500-square-foot space is set up like a banquet hall and kitted out with art installations, long wood tables for communal dining, loungers on the terrace, a vegetable patch overseen by a local farmer, cooking ateliers, and pétanque courts. Go for the rotisserie chicken and potatoes, craft beer and cocktails, and artisanal ice cream. The live music series makes this the event of the year when it opens each spring. Yummy food, friendly service, it was a Friday night and they had a music quiz, kids games, and a great view of the river. Would recommend.

Cool place for a drink and a bite with some entertainment for kids.

Cheap, fun canteen style lunch service. Very limited menu - meat option, veggie option, meat and cheese platter and daily special. Perfect with a stroll along river after a visit to the Machines.

We came here in order to get the free drinks from the city pass (this is a must do, your missing out on free drinks) after scanning the QR code they gave us a portion of the menu which was included in the city pass. This included some beers, some wines, and all soft drinks. We chose a lemonade a cider and a beer. They all came in small glasses which was not ideal. There was a DJ who was kind and let us do a song recommendation. Would come again if I'm the way.

I like the concept. It is am open space where you csn sit inside our outside, selfservice. You first pay and then get the food. It is very good value for money. But a lot of queuing and food will get cold. I had potatos, makreel, salad and a chilled beer. All were nice. Lots of space for children to run around and play. Only downside: very loud music. The whole island is great with lots of art. Good location to relax and refuel after visiting the machines!

Very good unique menu, the chicken is great and the salad from the fresh vegetables is refreshing. The wine was correct as well. The places for children to play is great, they can climb up and down for a very long time without getting bored, making it easy for the parents to eat!
