La Casa Bronxville

We visited La Casa in Bronxville hoping to enjoy their brunch. We arrived around 3:30 PM, well before the posted 4:00 PM brunch cutoff. Unfortunately, things started off on the wrong note as soon as we were seated, our server handed us dinner menus. When we politely asked if brunch was still available, the waiter seemed annoyed by the question, which made the start of the experience feel a little uncomfortable. Despite that, we decided to stay and give the food a try. We ordered their carne asada which was a small fish compared to their brunch price. We also ordered the chilaquiles which were drenched in the salsa Verde, eggs and bite sized steak bites. This meal cost $24. The tortillas were soggy along with the mini slices of avocado they scarcely provided. The menu overall for a brunch option was not well thought out for an visually appealing restaurant. Everything seemed mediocre and basic. The cost of upgrading your protein from one dish to the next changed, even though it was the same protein. To add steak to one dish, it was $10 but to another it was $14. Very confusing. The server basically also rushed us to order. We tried to pick something off the dessert menu, but pretty much it was your basic churros and flan at a price point of $13.00. This is a very unoriginal, mediocre and catered restaurant, to the community it's in. The price points on the menu options are ridiculous when you have food that lacks seasoning and a waitstaff that doesn't check back on the tables, or ask to refill your coffee. I'd recommend try another Authentic spot, that doesn't rush you and actually serves delicious food.

The restaurant was super busy, and check-in felt a little chaotic, but I have to give major credit to the hostess. She handled the crowd with patience and professionalism, even going above and beyond by bussing tables and bringing drink orders. She deserves a raise for sure. Unfortunately, the food was underwhelming. The guacamole really needed salt, the beans were dry, and overall the flavors just didn’t impress. If you’ve never had authentic Mexican or Spanish cuisine, you might find it decent, but for me it fell flat. I wouldn’t come back for the food, but I could see myself stopping in for drinks thanks to the good service and atmosphere. Street parking available. Free after 7

What can I say, another incredible meal at La Casa Bronxville! Lately, I’ve been sticking to a few favorite spots, and this place always gives me a reason to come back. Each time, I try something new from the menu, and I’m consistently amazed by the delicious flavors, high quality, and beautiful presentation. Today’s favorites include the savory steak taco and the tasty chicken taco (see pictures below), along with some delectable churros for dessert—simply incredible! The service is excellent, and the staff are consistently warm and inviting, making you feel right at home. It's truly a local treasure.

La Casa Bronxville exceeded my expectations! I had the Pescado Tacos and the Guacamole with Chips—both were absolutely delicious. The fish was perfectly cooked and seasoned, and the guac was fresh, creamy, and full of flavor. The chips had just the right crunch. I’ll definitely be back to try more from the menu!

We came here to try something interesting and this place did not disappoint. I opted to get an outdoor reservation, and I'm glad that I did. After we arrived, the restaurant was quickly filling up. The staff greeted us as we entered and they were very welcoming and seated us quickly. We started off with some Pellegrino, chips and guacamole, and ceviche. Normally I don't like ceviche but I wanted to try it and it was actually very good. I'm not sure what kind of meat was in it, but it doesn't matter because it was absolutely succulent. The guacamole was fantastic as well, and the fresh fried chips were to die for. Our appetizers were accompanied by a spicy margarita and tamarind margarita, both of which were some of the best margaritas I've ever had. Beware, the spicy one is actually spicy and I absolutely loved it. We got a second set of margaritas, but the second one I ordered had mezcal in it, which was equally as delicious. For the entrees, my date got the Carne Asada medium rare, and I got two pairs of tacos; The Carnitas and the Oyster tacos. The presentation of all three dishes made us even hungrier. The carne asada was perfectly cooked, and perfectly portioned. The chimichurri and avocado went very well with the steak, and the side of rice beans and maduros complemented it so well. The tacos are a bit on the smaller side, similar to street tacos. The saving grace is that they're packed with so much meat that you don't even notice the smaller tortilla size. The carnitas was easily the favorite of the two for us. Whatever sauce is served on the side with it makes it taste a thousand times better, and that's not saying that they're not good without it. Either way you can't go wrong with them. The oyster tacos on the other hand weren't a favorite of ours. It tasted a little too fishy for us, which I don't think is necessarily a bad thing. I think it's for someone who wants that flavor, which neither of us particularly did but I enjoyed it anyway. Overall the food was spectacular, and even though the oyster tacos weren't our favorite, they were still good overall. The service here was excellent and quick. As stated prior, they had a good amount of people inside the restaurant yet we didn't have to wait long for food or for a waiter to check in on us. We did sit outside, so I can't comment too much about the interior and how clean it was. From the quick glance that we got from the entrance, the restaurant seemed very well maintained and cozy. Overall, this restaurant was a fantastic find. I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to try a different take on Mexican food in a cozy romantic atmosphere. The only reason I didn't give it five stars was because of the oyster tacos. Again, they weren't terrible by any means, but not what we were expecting flavor wise. I recommend making a reservation sense they're easier enough to make and it would guarantee you a seat. I forgot to mention that parking here is pretty easy as there is a garage right across the street, but you may get lucky finding parking in front of the entrance. Nonetheless, if you're thinking about trying this restaurant definitely give it a go. We will definitely be returning!

HAD THE BEST bottomless brunch for my birthday with my girls this past Sunday. Service was phenomenal. Wish I would remember the server’s name for kudos. Margaritas were top notch tequila - no hangovers! We had a blast. Cannot wait to do it again. Finally found my go-to brunch spot with amazing overall value and service.

Came here for Dinner because they had outdoor seating and a full vegan menu! Unfortunately we did not have a reservation so we weren’t able to sit outside but it looked gorgeous and the inside was lovely. It took a while to get a vegan menu and some water but once we started ordering the service improved. We got chips and guac, very good. Mezcal Margarita and Tropical drink- so yummy! To share we got the vegan elote (couldn’t tell it was vegan) and the vegan chorizo and the carne tacos. The food was absolutely amazing. Shoutout to our server Fabian for helping us with our mezcal flights and making our experience amazing. Also shoutout to Kenny for closing us out! Will 100% be coming back here!

We ate at the Purchase location, but couldn't find it on Yelp and they have identical menus. Came from Southern California to hang with my wife's family. Mexican food wouldn't have been my first choice. We do great in SoCal. I was very pleasantly surprised! I got the Birria brisket tacos special and they were outstanding. The Maduros were fantastic. And I thought the carnitas tacos were awesome too. This is a solidly authentic Mexican joint.

I had a recent dining experience at La Casa Bronxville and I was seriously surprised by how my experience this time had changed from the usual 5 star to this 3 star experience. When they seat us they usually give us chips and the two sauces that I really love and they forgot all about the sauces. When we ordered the entree I got the steak tacos and there's two per order. It isn't labeled as an app so I was surprised by how small the tacos were and how little they put into it. I thought that there would either be three tacos, they would put more in them, they would add a rice and beans side, or they would just label it is an app. For two tiny tacos it sure cost more than I was expecting especially if you can get more food for the same price at other locations. Everyone else in my party enjoyed their food so I'm happy that they did. I just didn't expect to leave the restaurant hungry. That was kind of a letdown and not something one should expect from a restaurant.

Restaurant was nice. Food was okay. Service was good. A few things: - Food came super fast. Nice sometimes, but it was date night for us and honestly it was a little disappointing to be done so quickly. - Food was good, not great. Nothing that special. (Margs were good.) - We reserved outdoor seating, but unfortunately didn't get the nice covered seats. We were placed down the street, far from the restaurant entrance, and it felt isolating.

I was pleasantly surprised by this place. Their outdoor dining is covered and very nice to dining. Their food is excellent, as it's kind of like a high end new Mexican place. We were there for Sunday brunch and everything was great, except the waiter was a little slow to come check on us. But it's understandable because how busy they must be, and we were seated outside.

We got takeout. It was ridiculously expensive and not good. They offer oyster tacos. The only problem is you cannot find the oysters in the tacos. We also ordered red snapper, which was probably the most expensive thing on the menu and it was horribly overcooked and dry and not worth anything. I don't understand why it's not closing.

We were easily able to make a reservation for Friday night, and although it was poor weather, we sat in the cabanas, which were cute. The heated lamp at our original table was not working, so our waiter was able to switch us to another table which made a difference, but it was so cold outside.! Our waiter, Kenneth, was very friendly, attentive and helpful. We ordered chips and guacamole - which was really good. The guacamole tasted amazing. We ordered another bucket of chips. . We waited quite some time for our food to come out at a little too long for my liking, but it was busy inside so I can imagine there was a lot of food being prepared. For our dinner, we ordered the mahi-mahi entrée, salmon entrée, and chicken tacos with a side of rice and a side of maduros My brother and mother enjoyed their food. My dish was ok. The salmon was a bit undercooked. However, t quinoa, pico de gallo avocado, and asparagus was pretty good though. Honestly, the waiter made me raise my rating a little bit. It wasn't horrible, but I also I'm not in a rush to return.

This place makes a mean marg! Truth be told I didn't order the most Mexican dish on the menu, but it was flavorful and fresh. My friends all enjoyed their food and drink as well. The service was great, and we were a large group splitting the check multiple ways. The ambiance was upscale, but not too formal for a fun night out with coworkers.

Known for having one of the best margaritas in all of Westchester, La Casa is not only serving up exceptionally balanced and tasty margaritas but also some delicious dishes! Started with the guacamole and chips which was served with a trio of spicy, tangy and herbaceous sauces - as solid as you could expect because after-all, you can't be considered a solid Mexican eatery without great guac. For the entree, we ordered the Costillas (pork ribs) which were richly flavored with Pibil seasoning. Now for the acclaimed margaritas, we tried the Hibiscus, Tamarind, Mango and Coconut versions. Without hesitation I can say that they went 4-for-4. All perfectly balanced and flavorful without overpowering the tequila. Definitely worth the trip up to Bronxville!

I've come here a several occasions, most recently with my Goddaughter over sangria and food. I had their salmon while my goddaughter had their skirt steak. Everything was delicious in addition to their outstanding service and ambience. I usually come here whenever I'm in Bronxville.

An upscale Mexican restaurant that has some American flavors to their food as well. We got the Ensalada Mixta, Sopa de Calabaza (butternut squash soup), La Corona Vegetal, and the Green Enchiladas, but made vegetarian, as well as a side of Maduros (pan fried plantains). I didn't personally like my dish, La Corona Vegetal, and also not much the Ensalada Mixta. But my dad really liked his Green Enchiladas and my mom her Butternut Squash soup. Personally, I didn't find the food was made with a lot of Mexican flavors, but some people may like food that has more of an American twist. We'll not likely come often since it was a little pricey and out of our way, but it was interesting to try it at least once.

Apps. Ceviche: 6/10 had Guacamole and chips 5/10 Drinks Hibiscus margarita: 5/10 - pretty good however it would have benefited from a little more tequila. The salt had a little spice which I did not like however may be tasteful to someone else. Moscow mule: 3/10 - it definitely had enough alcohol however it had way too much ginger to the point where it burned. Frozen mango margarita:10/10 - I liked this truly. It was yummy not too sweet and had a gentle kick to it Lychee Martini: 7/10: definitely strong which I can appreciate however the Vodka does overpower the drink. Entrees Carne Asade 8/10: this was overall good. The meat was cooked "medium" And was enjoyable. Sides were a bit salty. Enchiladas Verde 6/10: This meal was okay l and enjoyable enough however for my taste in particular needed more seasoning and spice. I did request a spicy sauce on the side which helped for sure. Service 8/10 The waitress was good nothing to complain about. It seemed like she was the only one on this particular evening and I thought she was very graceful about this.

I went to this restaurant last night to celebrate a special occasion. I wanted to like it, I was really looking forward to it, I had heard positive things about it. But I was sadly disappointed. It started when we were seated near a family with a small child who was jumping up and down on the bench seat that went along the entire wall. My wife shared that bench, and it was shaking. We asked to move to a different table, and we were reseated all the way on the other side of the dining room. The child began running around the whole dining room - even right next to our new table, shouting and jumping like it was a playground! This went on for over 10 minutes, and as I looked around for the staff to do something, they either didn't notice or didn't care. I discreetly asked at the front desk if they could talk to the parents to stop this. It took almost 10 minutes for them speak to the parents, and the child continued her noisy parade until then. Meanwhile the couple next to us thanked us profusely and said it bothered them, too. Eventually the child stopped. The room decor was nice, and there was plenty of space between tables. But I could hardly appreciate that, with the child's antics and the staff's indifference. Now for the food. Our fried oyster tacos were strangely difficult to eat - either their breading had hard nuggets in it, or they were overcooked, or both. It wasn't shells, but we kept having to spit out little pieces of things we couldn't chew. I ordered the red snapper special, and my wife ordered the blackened swordfish. Both were dry, overcooked. Hers was downright chewy, and because of the seasoning it somehow tasted like pork instead of swordfish. Her fish came with plantains and slaw, and (I couldn't believe this) there were only 3 small pieces of plantain - more like a garnish than anything else. The slaw was good, and there was plenty of it. I left disappointed, not knowing if it's worth ever returning.

Some girlfriends and I came on a Friday night. It was busy! Trendy (for Westchester) vibe. I got the frozen mango margarita to start. It could have been stronger, but I appreciate that it wasn't crazy sweet. I was surprised by how small my carnitas tacos were, but they were super moist and flavorful. I also got the Ensalada de Otono. I should have asked for dressing on the side, but it was a nice salad with lots of different textures. We started with the guac and three salsas. It was a great way to start. I'll be back!

Beautiful location, delicious food, loved the ambiance. We were looking for a nice place to go and celebrate my mother in law's 80's birthday and Anthony was kind enough to accommodate us. We will be back! Thank you!

Friends and I stopped by La Casa for a late morning rendezvous with flavor, and left wondering why steak tacos aren't a standard brunch item everywhere. Whoever decided brunch needs to be limited to eggs and regrets clearly hasn't met these steak tacos. As for my tacos: juicy, tender steak wrapped in warm tortillas that seemed like they were hugged by a Mexican grandmother moments before arriving at the table. Each bite had me reconsidering my entire brunch philosophy. Service-wise, they were quick enough to make me feel valued, but not so fast that I questioned whether my food had been pre-cooked in another dimension. And let's not overlook the outdoor seating--shaded, breezy, and far enough from the street to enjoy your tacos in peace, but close enough to people-watch.

We had a great experience. 6 of us had dinner and drinks. The menu was varied and had vegan/vegetarian/gluten free options. Service was pleasant and they were patient with us. The fish tacos had great flavor. Beet salad was yummy and refreshing - it was tangy. Chips and guacamole and salsas were also good. Nice spot for a gathering or for a date night. Would go back again.

The one star is for their brunch when it first launched. Very slow service, I contacted the manager and never heard back, hopefully they have worked on their weekend brunch service.

Had the cevich, steak tacos, and quesadilla. The ceviche was tasted fantastic but we could've used just a couple more chips with it, and the steak in the tacos was a bit chewy but flavorful. The quesadilla was superb. Lovely ambiance but the wait staff wasn't very attentive, I wasn't offered a second drink and I had to wait quite a while to get someone's attention for the check

I came here for the steak night that has been advertised everywhere on social media. It did not disappoint at all. The offering was a $65 pp pre fixed menu that included 3 appetizers, a choice of 3 sides, an 18 oz rib eye for two, and a choice of either 2 cocktails pp or a bottle of wine for the table. An incredible value for the price. All on the dishes we had were great. My only complaint that kept it from being a 5 star review was the service was slow and pretty bad to be honest. You wouldn't expect to be waiting so long on a prefixed menu night, but all the food was delicious and cooked perfectly. Ambiance is cool for a low key date, business meeting or friendly gathering!!

Service 10/10 I was being serviced by a lovely young lady who went above and beyond. I got a ceviche as my appetizer and it didn't meet my expectations so without hesitation, she brought me something else that I enjoyed way more (the pulpo) Food 9/10 Everything I got (except the ceviche unfortunately) was superb. The enchiladas taste homemade. The carne asada was cooked to perfection. The pulpo was smokey and tender. Desert was super niche; never had a champurrado (Mexican hot chocolate) ice cream before. Would've been a 10 if the fish of the ceviche was fresh; maybe I have to give it another shot. Very unfortunate because I was very excited to try the ceviche. Ambiance 10/10 Place is super nice and has its own unique aesthetic; balance between modern and slightly older vibe. Definitely fits the Bronxville scene I'd give this place a try again. I've come here numerous times and each visit is better than the last! I usually try a new dish each time but my favorite has to be the quesadillas. If you need a refreshing cocktail, try the Paloma. And for dessert, churros or flan!

My first time there, and last. First, the service was slow and I mean slow. Took about 10 minutes to order chips and guac. Then, we finished the chips after another 15 minutes and had to stop the waiter to ask if we can place our dinner order. He actually asked if we were ready. After 30 minutes, we asked the waiter to check on our food (skirt steak and rice/beans). He brings it out and it was already getting cold. And, the portions looked like a kids meal for $32 a plate. Not to mention $6 per soda.

Delicious food that is extremely fresh and flavorful. Won best Mexican Restaurant in Westchester and definitely lives up to the hype!

Wow, where do I begin? I was really looking forward to eating here after reading the reviews and seeing photos of the beautiful ambiance. I brought my husband for Father's Day, and sadly, the experience was a major disappointment. We sat for about 20 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us. We had to ask another staff member to flag down our waitress, and she finally came by--but with no apology or explanation for the delay. At one point, we asked her to check on our food, and she never even followed up or came back with any update. She had a terrible attitude throughout and seemed completely uninterested in providing decent service. After waiting over 90 minutes, my husband's carne asada finally arrived--dry, overcooked, and tough like a leather belt. My daughter's chicken quesadilla with rice and beans was okay, but this meal was supposed to celebrate my husband, and he ended up with nothing worth eating. The waitress didn't care and offered no apology or explanation for anything that went wrong. To top it off, they only comped one of our two cocktails, which barely made a dent in the disappointment. I spent over $100 and still had to go out and find something else to eat. If I can give anyone advice: save your hard-earned money and go somewhere else.

I came here for steak night. The ambience was great, and the steak was cooked perfectly. The steak night is a lot of food for two people! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the steak night is also advertised as including drinks but we were charged for them. Considering how great of a deal it is I didn't mind paying, but I just wish that was clear. Overall great food, good vibe and good value.

After a horrible experience at another local restaurant, ( the tavery) we decided we didn't want to cut our late lunch short and stopped by here to enjoy a cocktail outside. From the hostess to our server Lisa, everything was wonderful. We've had dinner here before as well, and after today's negative experience elsewhere, we really appreciate the warm, welcoming service at this spot Highly recommend!"

Food was good, but I feel like there are better options if you're looking for more food and authenticity for less. Carne asada (7/10): I love a good skirt steak. when I visited PR, I had it about 7 times. I've had great skirt steaks in Atlanta too, etc. the carne asada at La Casa was standard, served with a small portion of rice, black beans, and plantains, with chimichurri and avocado to garnish. The plantains with the rice were amazing, I really loved the addition, adding sweetness to a dish that is otherwise overwhelmingly savory. I feel like the portion size was a bit small in the important facets, meat and rice. La Casa is beautifully decorated with an upscale interior and dim lighting that gives it a dressy feel. Seating is a bit cramped, and it was absolutely slammed at 6pm when I went, so try to get your orders in before the rush! Dinner of 6 was about 2.5 hours long, even with reserving a table, so the wait was more on the kitchen side, but they're not to blame. The staff was very kind and attentive, reassuring about wait times, which I appreciate. It sucks to wait, but it sucks more to be left in the dark about your wait, so they made it bearable. If you'd like to get a nice dinner with family or grab a bite with your date, this is the place to go. For me, La Casa would not be my first choice when seeking out an authentic bite or for proportional pricing to portions size. I do appreciate its sophistication, plating, and style for a more formal dining expereince.

La Casa may be best described as authentic upscale Mexican. Dishes have a soul of flavor in every bite. Some dishes we thought were a bit spicy for the average palate... as we all have a high spice tolerance. However, the spice really gave a great kick. The staff was great. Extremely kind, attentive, and welcoming. Only downside was our meals were somewhat cold... but we all still enjoyed our food. Overall, would come here again!

Remember that episode of SpongeBob when the Krusty Krab turned into a stingy 5 star restaurant? Well, this is it. The interior is well decorated, but that's just an excuse for overpriced and tiny portions. The chicken quesadilla and guacamole were ok, but the enchilada verde was foul. The fancy presentation can't hide the fact it tasted like a wash cloth smothered in Windex. I'd rather be at a loud, over the top Blue Moon than a pretentious gentrified restaurant like this. Moral of the story, just go to Chipotle.

La Casa in Bronxville is a gem! I am immunocompromised and am only comfortable eating outdoors and in a space that is not fully enclosed in plastic/vinyl sheeting (I look for airflow). La Casa has the PERFECT set up. I have been there 3 times over the past 3 weeks Each 4-person table has its own infrared heat lamp above it + every chair has a heated seat and back cushion with individual controllers (I have never seen anything like it, they are amazing!) And they give you blankets too. Each table is separated from the next by a partial wall (with airflow at the top) and the side of the little "room" that is closest to the restaurant is open - although there are flaps that you can close if you choose to do so. The food is delicious - I'm including photos of several dishes that my friends and I have ordered - everyone has loved their meals and my personal faves are the guacamole and chips, chicken quesadilla, sweet plantains, roasted pineapple dessert and Mexican hot chocolate! Spencer is the owner and 2 of the 3 times I've been there, he's stopped by the table to check on us. We saw La Casa featured on Lohud's Instagram and decided to give it a try. It is conveniently located in the heart of Bronxville, and has a very cute seating setup outdoors. We happened to sit at a table inside which was also well decorated. Our server, Jaylene, was kind, helpful, and the perfect balance of attentive. There were a lot of appealing options on the menu, so it was difficult to choose. The Paloma was an excellent cocktail option, as was the spicy margarita. I don't love tequila but each of these were very good. We started with the crab tostada app which was a generous portion. The topping was light and fresh and the tortilla was crispy and delicious. A great start to the meal. Next we shared the chicken mole enchiladas and the steak quesadilla. The mole was fantastic, I could have drank that sauce, but the real star of the show was the quesadilla. Quesadillas are so simple but this was probably the best I've ever had. The steak was fantastic, lots of big pieces and you could taste the quality and the thought that went into seasoning. The cheese was gooey and the perfect ratio to the steak. We agreed this was the best bite of the evening, and given how good everything was this is saying a lot. We essentially left our plates without so much as a crumb. We will definitely return.

Modern atmosphere, pleasant and inviting. Service was attentive and friendly. Food was excellent...we had Ceviche, Chorizo Tacos, Chilaquiles, and an omelette. All the food was well prepared and flavorful. Definitely recommend the brunch. We will be back for dinner and looking forward to it!

My fiancé and I had the pleasure of trying some of the breakfast menu items from La Casa and I couldn't be happier with the menu options. The menu was simple and clean, not overly complicated & flavors were 10/10. Prices were very fair for breakfast & cant wait to try it again soon. Recommend!

Great local spot with an upscale vibe. Their initial launch left a lot to be desired on the food, but once they revamped some staff and menu things turned around. Now this isnt a cheap takeout place, that is to say the dishes are going to be expensive. They are using higher quality ingredients and t shines through on the food. With that said, some of the portions are too small so be prepared for that. I wouldnt come here expecting to stuff your face with tacos, unless budget isnt an issue. They have some nice outdoor seating - not a crappy shack - real covered seating whih is great during summer nights.

First time in this area and meeting a large group for brunch on a Sunday. We drove and had access to easy street parking but it is also conveniently located by the train stop for public transit. This space was quite large offering many tables outside in a covered space, or inside both at a table or booth setting. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a friendly face at the entrance and they offered for us to wait by the bar until the party was all there or they could help us to our seats. We hung by the bar, each getting a variation on the margaritas. Bartender was very kind, helpful, and great at his craft. We tried the regular marg, skinny spicy, and mezcal. Each offers a different set of flavors but definitely loved the spicy for me. I'd recommend getting the regular than the skinny spicy because you need the sugar to balance out the spice. My husband got the el pepino which was super refreshing with the cucumber and celery. Once our group arrived, we took our seats in the main room. This is quite a welcoming environment, which spoke to the "home" feel. We started with the salsas and guac which came with chips and veggie spears. I loved the idea of veggie spears to go with the guac, super unique. But honestly, the salsas were a show stopper! Probably could have eaten those all day. Each one is so very different including the mild sesame seed, medium verde, and the spicy orange. The orange was to die for! We then got a variety of entrees that you will see photoed. Each were very pretty with their presentation and a good portion for a brunch. I really enjoyed the chicken mole dish of course topped with some orange salsa. The chicken was very tender and the tortilla was still somewhat crispy despite the mole. I appreciated the different textures because that doesn't always happen. My husband enjoyed his chilaquiles, which have the crispy chips instead of soggy fyi. We got the flan and tres leches for dessert both which were very tasty and enough to share. The flan was my number one; super smooth. Good environment for a small date or a large group. La casa elevates Mexican food but keeps the environment casual. Looking forward to returning soon; keep up the good work.

The best thing about this restaurant is that the decor is lovely. It's otherwise a mediocre Mexican restaurant. I was in a group of five people, and everything we ate was just okay, as was the service. There are certainly much better Mexican restaurants in southern Westchester.

I would title this review Bartaco for grown-ups. We visited this restaurant on the day prior to July 4th, and it was bustling from 8pm forward. The service was attentive if at times a bit slow.... The decor of this restaurant is very comfortable and tasteful and tables are well distanced. The best part of this place is the food. Everything we had was fresh and flavorful- from the Quac, the corn appetizer and all of the main dishes. The chicken enchilada in green sauce was excellent. Churros for dessert were also really good. I like that the place uses runners for food delivery. There is nearby parking and the prices were fine- EXCEPT for the $20 Martini. That's a bit steep as it should be in the $12-$15 range. Why create disharmony for an extra $5??? We will be recommending this new favorite and plan to be back real soon.

I wanted to try something new this Sunday and this place was just everything I wanted. The location seems like a distant whimsical town and the restaurant is located on a quiet corner that is surrounded scenic. The restaurant is gorgeous and the staff is amazing. The food is delicious from the Guacamole and Salsas are so tasty the flavor profile is banging with fresh chips.. Now the tune tartare gives everything it sweet and salty and the taste of a hint of ginger. Lorrrrrd the ceviche is freaking delicious I just enjoyed this experience so much. I found a little Gem!!

From the ambience to the customer service to the food.. muy excellente! A little pricey but you get what you pay for. The decor and interior design feels like Tulum in the heart of downtown Bronxville. The service was excellent... the hostess was nice as well as our server. Drinks were top notch. Margaritas! My husband and I are vegan (but I eat fish) so we really appreciated the vegan menu! The La Casa Ensalada was amazing! So fresh, clean and tasty. We also got the Esquites, which is vegan. Mahi mahi tacos for me on a lettuce wrap, and my husband got the Flautas de Papas y Epazote. Seriously, 5 stars!

Very nice place! I believe it's a new place in the area. Very cool ambiance with nice staff. We came here on Friday night with 4 ladies and caught some of the happy hour that had very affordable tacos and drinks. Service was relatively quick. Tacos were pretty good! Guac was nice as well. Fresh and delicious. I had octopus and was pretty awesome. Dessert had amazing churros and sorbet was great. Dessert was my favorite part. I would recommend this place and will be back!

My friend and I were looking to grab some dinner after the craziness of the holidays and the latest COVID variant surge (as well as work and, you know, life in general). We finally set a date to catch up, the only other task was to choose a place. We had our tried and true places but I remember she had mentioned La Casa to me a while back - she lives in Bronxville and said it had recently opened and heard good things. Mexican sounded great, so I booked a table and we made our way over. La Casa replaced another Mexican spot called Blue Moon; I had been there a couple of times over the years but always remembered it as being nothing special (at least, not destination-worthy). Anyway, approaching the restaurant I saw that it was packed inside - they had some outdoor seating but we opted to sit indoors. I remember Blue Moon being kind of tired looking, so I was pleasantly surprised to see that they completely redid the interior at La Casa. The color scheme was bright - whites, sky blues, and touches of green that wasn't traditional Mexican restaurant aesthetics but still worked. The interior was spacious but not too large - immediately upon entry is the bar area as well as some high-tops; it then opens up into a larger room with traditional tables. The menu was broken up into apps, tacos, mains, and desserts. Interestingly, they did not provide complimentary chips and salsa - instead they were offered as an app with three different salsas. We had to option to add guac if we wanted, so we decided to go with that as an app along with some spicy margaritas. The margarita was good, just the right amount of spice with good flavor (not the best marg I've had, but not bad either). The chips/guac/salsa was pretty good. The chips were large and warm, and the three different salsas they came with were a standout; my favorite was the red sesame seed salsa which had big sesame flavor. The other salsas were good, a nice diversion from traditional salsa; the guac was good, not bad but also nothing noteworthy. My go-to at Mexican restaurants is tacos, but I decided to get the carne asada this time since it was speaking to me. The steak was good, and it came with a side of greens that provided a nice contrast to the protein. The rice and beans were presented nicely and had pretty good flavor. Service wasn't the best; we were sitting there for about 20 minutes before a server approached us to ask if anyone was taking care of us. After that things moved along a little better, but I just found it strange because even though it was crowded it did not look like they were short staffed (plenty of servers and bussers all around). Overall, my experience at La Casa was lukewarm - the service improved as the meal progressed (our eventual server was very friendly), but I didn't find the food good enough to prompt a return. Perhaps if I lived in Bronxville I would be more prone to return, but since I don't, I'm not running back.

I start this review by saying that this restaurant serves the worst churros I've ever had in my 40 years of life. I was depressed, leaving three churros on the plate, but they were so mushy and lacking and sweetness, and the chocolate tasted like Trader Joe's chocolate syrup.. for $12. You expect five little churros to be at least edible. As for the entrées, we had the Chicken Enchiladas and Hongos a la diabla. Both looked pretty, but were very lacking. The enchiladas were so bland inside - thankfully the green sauce was tasty and I just bathed everything in that sauce. And the mushroom dish was fine, but with very bland ingredients in it and a very profound lack of any carbs! Our server, Anthony, was great. But the restaurant is run so poorly - our server was constantly running around serving more tables on a busy night than anyone could possibly manage alone. Yeah For a $150 meal, you expect excellent Mexican food. This was mediocre with some dishes being inedible. .
