The Best Croquetas In Miami, Ranked

"Price Per Croqueta: $1.98 La Casita is a full-service Cuban restaurant, so you can come here for a big meal and enjoy a plate of mariquitas with a bowl of ropa vieja. Other dishes are a little hit or miss, but you can always count on their croquetas. Their masa is rich and smooth, but the breading is just perfect: crunchy, not too heavy, and crispy enough to drag a finger across and hear a crackle like the static from a dead radio channel. The Best Pupusas In Miami

"The pupusas at La Casita Cafeteria are the fluffiest on this guide. There’s no crunch, which works because the cabbage slaw provides all the crunch needed. The pupusa de loroco y queso has a more mild flavor of loroco than we’d like, but it’s still a solid choice. If for some reason you’re restricted to a single pupusa, get their revuelta. The bean, cheese, and chicharron filling is delicious and pairs well with their slightly sweet tomato salsa. Pupusa hour here is best enjoyed at the tables in front of their ventanita, which faces West Flagler’s road ragers. This view, with a colada and a pupusa, is the most Miami way to spend your afternoon." - mariana trabanino, virginia otazo

La Casita Cafeteria Review - Little Havana - Miami - The Infatuation

"You can come to La Casita Cafeteria with nothing but a $20 bill and your grumbling stomach. This restaurant on West Flagler serves a wide spectrum of Latin dishes from pupusas to cubanos and even some seafood options. And your coffee might be covered by a regular who buys a colada to share. Even though there’s seating indoors, grab a table in front of their ventanita. Here, you have the best view of the fascinating road rage of West Flagler. If you just want a small bite, get the pupusa revuelta—it has a generous amount of chicharron filling, and the side of cabbage is satisfyingly crunchy. photo credit: Tasty Planet photo credit: Tasty Planet photo credit: Tasty Planet" - Mariana Trabanino

The Best Cuban Restaurants in Miami | Eater Miami

"Nestled in Little Coral Gables, La Casita has become a beloved Cuban restaurant thanks to the Vilariño family, known for their work with Las Vegas Cuban Cuisine. Daily specials include arroz imperial, a hearty chicken and rice dish with ham, mayo, and cheese, paired with sweet plantains or a cooked fish fillet served with a choice of sides. Diners can enjoy a carafe of sangria or try popular Cuban sodas, including Materva, Jupiña, and Ironbeer." - Eater Staff

Was in the neighborhood and stopped by. Ordered a Cuban sandwich and steak sandwich (Pan Con Bistec). Neither were on cuban bread which is a no no. The Cuban had more mayo and mustard than meat. The steak sandwich was better. Great prices on breakfast. Have never tried hot plate dinners but as far as sandwiches, hard pass for me

I hope this information is helpful is the first time I visit this cafeteria. I ordered a chicken Caesar salad, which the lettuce was soggy and full of water it was disgusting, but what made it worse was the waiter she was very unprofessional, she has a very NASTY attitude, I guess she was not having a good day. to all the consumers out there save your money I do not recommend this place.

Found this place on Google. We wanted a Spanish spot to have a strong cafe con leche and bread. We ended up getting, scrabbled eggs with bacon, French fries 2 huge pieces of toast with butter for $4.50. You cant go wrong with the price and the anount of food. Service was on point too.

Some of the best prices in town. Food quality is ok and the service is ok too. Just takes a long time to get your order because they are busy. Certainly recommend if you’re looking for some comfort food at a good price!

Yelp
This hole in the wall has my heart! They have specials every day! I would take it to go because the inside is mighty small and seating is limited. We sat and the waitress came to greet us in less than 10 minutes. She took our drink and food order and in a couple minutes came back with toast! It was honestly super buttery and crunchy! Food: I had to try one of the Saturday specials, the sopa de res. I was pleasantly surprised! I had the small and it was a big plate that came with a side of rice and a tortilla. And of course, I had to try the pupusas! I had one of queso con frijol and one of queso con loroco. Honestly, they both tasted pretty authentic, but my favorite was the queso con loroco. So flavorful and cheesy!! Drinks: they have $4 coronas! I didn't have one, but I had the horchata and it was good. Tasted fresh made! Give this place a shot! Looks run downed but the food is tasty, great price, and good serving size! Great service too. The waitresses were quick and attentive.

Yelp
The food here is delicious, specially after a long flight from LA. I recommend the Cubana and the Pupusas. The service is great, very friendly welcoming staff.

Yelp
I come here every now and then for my favorite breakfast. I order a Central American breakfast with carne. The food has always been delicious. I only wish the portion of beans was bigger but besides that, I'm satisfied. There is inside and outside seating but I prefer to pick up and eat at home. If you're ordering for pickup, I suggest calling 15 minutes in advance because that's how long it takes them every time I've placed and order to go.
