Really helpful to know Spanish if you come here in person. Delicious Honduran food.. the flour tortillas for the baleadas are some of the best I've had. The grilled chicken is so flavorful and well marinated. Will definitely be back

They lie about their store hours. I placed an order on Doordash and the hours are clear that they would be open. Tried calling and it went to a full voicemail box. Will not be ordering or visiting this place ever.

The Pupusas de chicharron con queso were very delicious. The order comes with 3 and they were pretty big too. I definitely recommend this place!!!

Food tasted good m, but the service was super awful. We sat there for 30 minutes for our meal.. when ordering the lady with glass in the counter was clueless about the items on her own menu.. took forever to bring our drinks out.. also they blast Christian music in the back ground.. surprised to know they are religious and yet act like trashy people.

The fried fish was awesome. Pisado Frisca. Nice staff and service. Will make this my Latin choice for restaurant.

Was there for lunch today I asked for a soup she said they had chicken soup so I waited guess what a lady came out with soup in a small casserole put it on top tha stove with fire on high add water and sazon I asked her is it fresh soup she said yes but when I took it home I had lots of bone one piece of carrot.small piece of corn . small piece of potato and few pieces of chicken more bones teasing like yesterday's very disappointing $15.00 will not go back

The food is delicious. I gave them a 4 out of 5 because it take a bit for them to notice you and there are no prices on the menu. Once you are done they tell you what you owe. I'm don't like that too much.

First time visiting this place for breakfast. Service was great and the food was hot and delicious. My husband got the empanadas. All of the food was homemade and fresh.

Service was not good. Food was okay but we got a soup and they forgot about it and when they brought it out, it tasted old. Not going back

service was definitely below par. food was okay but not at all what we expected. they were out of quite a bit and it was midday. they forgot an entree and sides and we had to remind them because they completely forgot. we had to find our waitress for service every time. smell of food sticks to you. will not be back.

Pupusas are amazing- pork with cabbage and pickled onions. Sooo delicious! Sauce is amazing, food is always piping hot, even when door dashed!

In terms of Latin American cuisine, no place makes you feel more like you have walked into a Central American kitchen than this one. I decided to try food from the cafeteria style buffet area. No, it's not an all you can eat buffet. Just cafeteria style line. Anyways, you've got to get outside of your comfort zone and just order what looks good. I had the stewed tripe with carrots and potatoes, Rice and beans, cabbage, chiccarones, and corn tortillas. It was so good. My wife got the Honduran tacos. They were a combo of pork and chicken rolled in flour tortillas and fried. They were topped with pickled red onions, jalapeños, cabbage, and some sort of sauce that had a sweetness to it. Well worth every bite. We also shared an order of papusas which were filled with beans and cheese. It came with a side of pickled cabbage, onions, jalapeños, and a pepper sauce. Yes we ordered a lot and yes we ate a lot. Am I upset that I ate so much? Hell no I'm not. That stuff was amazing. Hell, I wish I was hungry again because I would eat more right now.

I walked in thinking I was going to enjoy some delicious food from my home country but was quickly disappointed. I ordered the tajadas con carne molida, ground beef looked like canned cat food and tasted even worst. My husband ordered the chicken tacos and was equally dissatisfied; his coffee was good though. I enjoyed my Guanabana drink as well. Service was lacking and food was overpriced. I will not be returning and not recommending it.

Home made delicious food here. Very much worth every penny. And large serving sizes so you can take some home with you. I'll be back if I'm in Kenner.

Nunca tiene la comida lista cuando uno ordena para llevar. Siempre tengo que esperar mas de media hora cuando llego a recoger la comida. Y eso es después de esperar 20-30 min antes de salir a recoger. Varias veces e llegado tarde al trabajo por esto. No ordenen aqui almenos que tengan mas de una hora para esperar. Ya mas de 5 meses que hice el review pasado y siempre con el mismo problema..

Ordered Honduran Tacos (flautas), pupusas with beans and cheese, and baleadas con todo. Very inexpensive for a lot of food and everything was absolutely delicious. Very good food, great prices, be back again soon!

I was thoroughly surprised at how good this place was. It didn't look like much. The owner had the food in a cafeteria style manner. I order yucca con chicarron and fried chicken. Wow. The yucca was amazing. Loved the salad since I loved onions but the flavors all complimented one another and wasn't overwhelming the way onion tend to be. Will definitely be back.

Amazing pupusas - I did mixed pork and cheese and it was delicious: perfectly cooked, plenty of filling, pickled red onions and slaw served with it made it feel refreshing instead of heavy. Cash only - but it's worth it!

The worst of the WORST!!!! Don't eat here! And if you still do don't order pollo con tajadas! no chicken at all! Just bones and tajadas are sagging with lots of oil! The worst!

I come here pretty often, the food is good. My only complain is the customer service, when we were ordering the owner seemed like she didn't want to be bothered, it seemed like our presence there was an inconvenience at the time. And it's always like that with every visit. Other than that, I highly recommend this place. Every plate is worth trying

So good! We got the carne asada, papusas, and Honduran tacos. The carne asada and papusas were a plate with salad. The Honduran tacos were like taquitos. Nice and crunchy with a salad and sauce on top. This place was amazing! We'll definitely be back.

Restaurant was expensive. She has a buffet, where you pick what you want from the food she cooked that day. I picked rice, beans, sliced cheese, and sliced meat. It was $14. First off rice and beans are cheap. Plate should have been no more that $8. I didn't even get a drink with that. Will not go again!!!!

Was visiting here from Dallas for Mardi Gras. The food from the place was amazing. So hot and fresh. It was steaming. I Ordered the #2 breakfast plate. The pupsas as were also amazing too. Highly recommend it.

The pupusas were fantastic. As good as any I've eaten anywhere. Definitely the real deal.

The empanadas were wonderful. Truly authentic Honduran tacos with topping and sauces. The papusas were outstanding- we had bean and cheese but plenty of choices. While we ordered off the menu there was also a 'hot bar' where you could see what you were picking. Karla was there cooking and everything tasted fresh. And two of us ate for $21.00! Will go back often.

It's definitely good, authentic Honduran food! Beans were a little undercooked, but everything else was spot on.

I came here with 5 others friends as part of a progressive dinner of Latino restaurants on Williams Blvd. Our stop here was going to be just for pupusas which I thought were like small meat pies. Well at La Cocina de Karla they come two to an order and are enough for a meal. The very gracious owner/manager explained that they had beef & cheese, vegetables & cheese, and one that translated into "beans & cheese." I was leaning more towards the beef one, but we got one order of each--happy we did! The beef was very good, the vegetable was excellent, and the bean one was amazing--and I usually don't like beans (It was more like a puree so in retrospect I think he might've said "relleno & cheese") but this was great with lotsa melted cheese that oozed out, all perfectly seasoned. They came with well-apportioned sides of tasty pickled cabbage, onions & other veggies, and a great pepper sauce. They definitely were the highlight of our evening. The various drinks we had were all yummy and the prices were incredibly reasonable. Can't wait to go back and try all the other things on the menu!
